I apologise so very much for the delay... I only realised a few days ago that I forgot to leave a notice of when I would stop. Thank you so much for being patient and I really hope you enjoy the chapter!

Eragon stood there, waiting until he had everybody's attention upon himself "I have come to a decision..." he repeated "I believe that all of our actions could have severe consequences, freezing him is just delaying the inevitable and what if he wakes again... what then? But also killing him is foolish in many ways, he could be more powerful than all of us together, if we anger him in any way he could bring about our destruction and let loose havoc across the world but if we succeed we lose maybe our only chance to find the origins of magic for Saphia has spoken to me and she has told me that he... radiates... with more power than we can imagine" Eragon told them "If we kill him it would mean answers left unanswered and I would prefer those answers to be found... Our third and final option is to wait for Angela's return... she is older than all of us and wiser, I may not know how old she really is but she is recognised as friend by the oldest elves and Eldunari but if we wait and things take a turn for the worse it would end in destruction yet again... those are our only main options. So I have taken time and convened with the Eldunari and the advice they gave me helped my judgement... I believe that we should wait... not kill him or freeze him, we should put him in a form of stasis... deep sleep if you will... to be awoken at our convenience or when he finally decides to take over, I only hope that isn't for a long time, I request that the elves and fully fledged riders stay in the room and everybody else to leave, we will do this now" Eragon finished, waiting silently for them to do as he asked. Nasuada was the first to rise and walk out followed by Roran and Katrina, then Orik and finally the students, a mix of sadness and worry on their faces. As soon as they left and the door had closed shut, a look of disappointment came upon the students faces.

"This is unfair to us!" Arvuin shouted "Why bring us to learn if we aren't going to be able to test ourselves in real life situations!" She carried on

"Calm yourself!" Clovis told her "We haven't been sent out due to inexperience, it is for our own protection, remember we are the future of the riders, if we were to fall then there would be no future of our kind!"

"Well I'd rather there be no future to sit on the sidelines; I understand why he has kept you back of course, being non elven but me and Arnos deserve and have the capabilities to be in there" She replied, a sneer on her face in slight mockery and overall distaste

"I'd rather you not insult you're fellow riders and students... especially when we are in the presence of Royalty" Clovis responded quietly "They are here to see us and how we work in theory but in truth they are here to see if Eragon is still the man he was before... they don't trust him and they don't trust us... think properly she-elf, any major slip from any of us would give them an excuse to invade in the form of 'help' and soldiers for 'guards' waiting to turn on us at a moment's notice" Clovis told her, hushed in his tone

"I... very well, I shall hold off on my tongue for the time being... how do you know of this?" Arvuin asked him, her voice calming

"My father is a member of the Queen's council and there are many hidden rooms and chambers in the palace, one leads directly to a place that is behind the meeting chamber and I've found myself a good listener, they've been discussing this ever since Eragon-Elda left Alagaesia" Clovis replied to her "And I don't know about you but I would prefer to stay here without the interference of men, dwarves and elves to 'watch over us' as they call it"

"Are you playing us for fools Clovis?" asked Arnos, speaking up suddenly as if he only just realised the severity of the discussion "Because if you are I would implore you to flee for the betterment of your wellbeing" he told him, a look of irritation in his eyes

"I assure you, friend, that I am not joking, I have heard these with my own eyes and ears" Clovis replied, a worried yet calm approach to his response

"Aye, I believe him, I've heard these talks within mine own clan" Dimin interrupted "I didn't take them seriously but if King Orik or Queen Nasuada... or even Arya-Dröttning feel that Eragon-Elda is not playing his hand well then we shall be invaded. It is as Clovis says my friends, if we are not on our best behaviour, sending our pleases well wishes to the royal families present then we are to be either sent into a war with our own kin or become their captives in a place that we wouldn't be able to call home" Dimin informed his fellow riders

"They fear our strength and worry that we could end up like the forsworn" Said Bray, shuddering as the thought entered her mind

"Well then, we mustn't give them any reason to suspect us" Clovis summed up, a chorus of ayes rose into the air in agreement. They were left to their own devices only a moment longer until the door burst open, and out came Eragon... a slow mist creeping out of the room behind him... he staggered forward and rose his head as if to speak although no words came out... as they looked upon him for answers, Eragon collapsed...
