I apologise so very much for the delay... I only realised a few days ago that I forgot to leave a notice of when I would stop. Thank you so much for being patient and I really hope you enjoy the chapter!

Kuldr awoke screaming, his mind searing with pain. Panicked, he rushed up and clambered out of his bed, sweat dripping from his forehead. As his eyes adjusted to the light he noticed someone in the corner of his room laying on a small cot, eyes open... watching him with intent and fear. His eyes focused and he saw her, he looked at his friend. Kuldr saw not Aninya's face; all he saw was her... he saw her dying at the hands of the forsworn and his vision clouded. "WHY ARE YOU TORTURING ME?" He shouted "You killed my father, you killed my dragon and you killed my friend... What... What did I do to you to deserve this?" he called out, his head in his hands, eyes shut and pain surging through his mind. Thoughts escaping and reality slipping through his fingers, then he saw him... standing there and looking upon him with curiosity.

"Does this pain you?" he asked

"Y... yes, tell me! Why are you doing this to me?" Kuldr asked, begging for an answer

"These are your darkest fears... you blame yourself for their deaths and you fear because you feel nothing... these are your chains you fool and only you can break them!" He told him, shouting

"Kuldr" a voice came, whispering in the corner of his mind "You must wake up" It told him "Focus on my words" it said

Kuldr snapped to attention, blocking his mind to all voices but the one in the corner "Eridor... I... Is that your voice I hear?" he asked

"Y yes, focus on my voice and nothing else" Eridor replied

Kuldr did as he was told, slowly... ever so slowly the red light started to disappear and his thoughts began clasping onto his mind, dragging themselves through the torrent of light and crossing into his mind... he began to grasp at reality. His eyes becoming focused and his ears began ringing, louder and louder until he looked at Eridor and Aninya, sat in front of him. Her eyes closed and an expression of joy on Eridor's face.

"Welcome back" Aninya said, smiling as she touched his arm

"Yes... welcome back to the realm of reality" said Eridor, Kuldr looked at him, he was larger, stronger and his speech had become more refined.

"How long has it been?" Kuldr asked, as he reached for a mirror, a look of shock upon his face as his reflection looked at him, a full grown beard and his hair grown longer.

"It has been two weeks since you fell into a darkened slumber" Aninya said "Today is a Sunday and unfortunately, the guests have left. I recommend you shower, shave and change before coming for food, Saphia said she'll do a check up on you after you've eaten" Aninya informed him, getting up and walking away, only to be stopped by Kuldr, he had grasped her hand

"Th... Thank you for all you've done... I am in your debt" Kuldr told her before releasing her hand and allowing her to leave. "And to you as well, without you, my friend, I would have been stuck in that realm for much longer" Kuldr said to Eridor, a smirk across his face, gratefulness etched onto his face.

"What am I without a friend?" Eridor replied as Kuldr went and got ready; he left the room and headed outside. Eridor flew down the corridor and into the hall, grabbing food from the table he flew outside and onto the grass, he sat down and placed his food in front of him and began eating. When finished he began to fly, he flew across the island, to the top of the mountain where he landed, he perched himself on the peak, gazing across the open lake to the lands ahead, his sharp eyes allowing him to take in even the smallest details, he saw birds soaring and wolves hunting, rabbits hiding. In the far distance south he saw a desert and in the far distance north he saw snow capped lands. Bored, Eridor flew back inside to see Kuldr walking towards the hall; landing beside him he followed Kuldr.

"Enjoy yourself?" Kuldr asked

"Yes, the sights are majestic in all directions" Eridor replied

"I shall take your word for it" Kuldr told him, opening the door to the halls, noticing the absence of their guests immediately and two new people. He walked up to them and smiled at the first person he saw "Good day Angela" he said

"And a good day it is, nice to see you're back here with the living" She replied "We arrived this morning and its quite fortunate that you've finally woken up" She added

"Aye, it's been a difficult time these past few weeks" Kuldr told her, sighing

"Yes, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go see Eragon about the pressing matter of this mysterious stranger" Angela told him, getting up and walking out

Kuldr turned to face the other stranger; an elf who stood up and without the slightest intention of doing so, suddenly hugged him. "It's been a long time" She said, her musical voice sounding familiar

Kuldr thought and hugged her back, placing the voice with a face and a familiar one "Aye, it definitely has, a hundred years has passed and here we are, two of the four remaining members of our bloodline, finally reunited!"

So finally reunited, and has Kuldr recovered for good? I wonder what Angela will make of this stranger...
