I hope you enjoy the chapter! Sorry for taking so much longer than I usually do to upload these days but it's unavoidable due to multiple reasons, I'm truly sorry and I hope that you all understand, it kills me not having time to right or draw... Sorry :(
"Eridor, tell me something, how has my brother been these past few weeks?" Liotha asked the little dragon
"He... he has a wondering mind, always dwelling upon other things and other people... he seems to be unsettled and refuses to take... t... time for himself" Eridor began "The only rest he finds is in his sleep and he finds no comfort there either, my rider is... lost?"
"Hmm, this isn't right, of the two of us, Kuldr was always the cheerful one but somehow always serious, he loved to laugh and his laugh was contagious..."
"I'd rather find out about your life, sister of my rider, what interesting tales do you have to tell?" Eridor asked her, his tone showing interest "I've yet to venture out from the island or even to the edge of it; Saphira-Elda and Kuldr are intent to keep me away from the outside until I can fly..."
"Hmm, now that is a shame, to have wings yet to be chained...I don't know how Kuldr stands staying in the same place for so long... he used to hate keeping still, always off on an adventure or something and only returning after weeks... he really has changed..." Liotha said
"What, in the past hundred years you mean?" Eridor commented, chuckling slightly
"No need to be clever! It's just strange as all, seeing him after so long... mother hasn't seen him yet as well..." Liotha replied, evidently upset
"I am sorry, I did not mean to offend you" Eridor began "I've yet to... become used to talking with words as opposed to pictures"
"It is not your fault, it's his I will take him back at some point to see our mother but first we must actually talk, he has been too busy teaching and I have been busy settling into Doru Anora but given the right time, we will return to our usual closeness, we became friends as opposed to just siblings"
"I know, since I share his mind for the most part I remember his childhood... whatever he allows me to see that is" Eridor told her "But he only shows me some memories, I still don't know what he was like... before the war"
Liotha looked at him, sitting down on a nearby chair, she put Eridor on her lap "Before, Kuldr was a lot more carefree and easygoing than he is now... Kuldr would take whatever life threw at him and just let it happen; he would let life lead his direction and would follow without a single care, at the mention of an interesting location, him and Loivissa would pack and leave within a day... it was strange but it feels stranger seeing him content although I think that when you start to fly and become larger he will return to his roots... If I were you, Eridor, I would prepare myself for flying... a lot!" Liotha explained
"I see, well, I believe I have a lot to look forward to then" Eridor replied
"Is there anything else you would like to know?" Liotha asked
"There is one last thing, what was your life like back in Ellesméra? How come you... decided to move to here?"
"It was dull; I don't miss my past as an assassin but I miss the adrenaline, the rush one gets when hanging between life and death... the reason why I hated it when Kuldr went off on an adventure was because I wanted to go with him, I wanted to explore, wander and find everything there was to find, see everything there was to see but instead I chose to follow the shadows of the most dangerous places... there are few who could feel my presence and those that could were killed before anything could be done to stop me" Liotha told him "It is for that rush of excitement that I came here, if any place would be exciting it would be a place of dragons..."
"And has it been?"
"So far, more exciting than Ellesméra... here there are people who actually interest me, such as you" Liotha said, after thinking for quite a while
"I thank you for saying so... I'm sorry but I must leave you for now, I have a lesson with Saphira in a very short amount of time, thank you for spending time with me, sister of mine rider" Eridor said, excusing himself
"If it is anyone, I should be thanking you, if you happen to see Blodhgarm, could you please tell him that I have a note from his mother"
"I... I shall tell him if I see him, another time then" Eridor replied, leaving
Liotha got up from the chair and walked back into the main hall, she looked around and saw Eragon sat in the corner, away from all tables and chairs, eyes closed and he appeared to be meditating although on what she couldn't be certain. Deciding against bothering him she returned to her room, a pale grey in colour with pale blue lights floating in the centre of the ceiling. It was simple, quaint like most other rooms in the hall, she hated that, Eragon's idea was good but to her it seemed more like a hotel than a room, there were so many problems with the hall, its architecture and design was perfect but the details were awful. She noticed other flaws that were minor but irritated her to no end, so many small things that caused her to become upset, angry... all of those small details that were either wrong or just weren't there. She needed them to change and change them she would... she wasn't right for teaching and she knew that to begin with... what role would she serve in a school?
I wonder what role she'll play?
