Chapter 13 : Void
" Ne... Tenebre... Are you alright?" Anguis looked at his master's emotionless face worriedly as they floated down the Time Crux, the path connecting all the worlds," You seem a little off ever since we entered the Time Crux, has it got something to do with the Dragonslayers?"
A flash of emotion passed through Tenebre's emotionless face, but it was gone before anyone could figure out what was it,
" Now's not the time to think about that, we've more important matters at hand." She said in a voice that matched her face, quickly requiping into her Gatekeeper robes, a black Greek chiton outlined with gold wave patterns, brown leather sandals and some of her hair braided up, trailing down her back.
"Kori-san, i believe this is your stop," She stopped floating in front of a reddish-gold vortex, and with a flick of her hand, the vortex turned into a gate, images of different dragons etched onto its golden doors, dragons in flight, dragons sparring, as well as images of dragons with their mates, the images so vivid, so realistic that it almost seem to be alive.
" No, it's not." Kori replied curtly, " Where you are headed to now is my destination as well."
" Ah, i should've known, you're part of the Council, Kori-san? "
" Part of it, my mate and i share a position."
" Hmm..." A thoughtful look on her face, Tenebre asked, 'I don't suppose Igneel is still..."
She was then very sharply interrupted by a shrill screeching from the other end of the Time Crux,
" Tenebre Akarusa! You are in SO much trouble, not-so-young-but-looks-young lady! Get in here right this instant!"
Anguis gulped and stared at the vortex nervously,
" Urm, i'd head back to the Celestial World then, call me if you need help, bye!" He said quickly, then poofing off in a cloud of gold dust.
" Well, he certainty looked freaked out." Kori scratched her snout.
" He's still rather traumatized from being whacked on the head repeatedly with a frying pan by Marie during one of her...urm...tantrums." Tenebre said while scratching the back of her head.
" Tantrums." Kori lifted a skeptical eyebrow.
" Aye, tantrums. So let's hurry in before she takes it to the next level." Tenebre closed the gate to the dragon realm and opened the one at the end of the passage, a simple black gate with silver swirl patterns on its double doors formed, they crossed over it into the core of the Void and into the La Forteresse.
The guild doors slammed open and all heads in the guild turned to look at the lone shadowed figure standing there with two other figures approaching behind him,
" LUCY!" He shouted, panting slightly from his run back " Where's Lucy?!"
Natsu stormed into the guild, looking for head of blond hair amid the sea of confused faces,
" Natsu? What's the matter? Lucy just went home a moment ago... Wait Natsu!" Mira shouted into the cloud of dust created by Natsu as he ran out of the guild.
" What on Mavis...?" Mira looked at Gajeel and Wendy quizzically, who had just came into the guild just after Natsu ran out, " What happened? Where did you guys go? Why did you guys suddenly run off like that?"
She gasped when she took a closer look at Wendy's her red rimmed eyes and her sad despairing look, kneeling down she cupped Wendy's face and growled,
" Who made you cry?"
Wendy sniffed and immediately started brawling out loud, crying out her foster mother's name every few sniffles or so,
" Grandine..." She whimpered, her tiny hand unable to keep up with the steady stream of tears flowing down her cheeks.
Mira directed her glare at Gajeel, who was staring at Wendy with barely concealed brotherly concern and snapped,
" Details. NOW."
Meanwhile, somewhere in the marketplace of Fiore, a pink blur was seen zipping his way through the afternoon crowd, creating quite the commotion as he crashed though stalls, busted several wagons and essentially, creating chaos wherever he went.
Pumping his legs harder to run faster down the familiar road that led to her house, he took a good whiff at the air around him and caught her strawberry and vanilla scent, immediately dashing down that direction.
True enough, he soon caught a flash of blond hair from within the crowd slowly weaving her way through the busy afternoon crowd, slowing down occasionally to stop and look at the different merchandises for sale.
" Lucy!" Natsu hollered through the noise and Lucy turned back quizzically, looking around for the source of the voice and raised a slender eyebrow when she met eyes with Natsu's frantic ones.
" Natsu? What on-" She gasped as she made her way to him, giving him a once-over, " What on Earthland happened to you?! You look like you've just ran through hell and back! Did something happen?"
" Nothing... in particular." Natsu panted as he caught his breadth, struggling to find something to talk about, when inspiration struck,
" Ah! Tenebre!" He exclaimed.
" What about her?" She cocked her head to the side, looking at Natsu strangely.
Natsu scratched the back of his head in an attempt to look nonchalant, " She, urm, said that she's be gone for awhile, didn't say anything else though."
Lucy face fell when she heard this, pouting as she folded her arms, a pink dusting appearing on Natsu's cheeks when the action further enunciated her already bountiful assets.
" And i was planning to have a heart to heart the moment we settled down with a nice pot of mint tea..." She sighed, " I guess that'll have to wait for now."
She turned on her heel and looked past her shoulder at him, " Well, are you coming?"
" Huh?" Natsu replied.
Lucy's eyebrow jerked up in amusement and mock annoyance, " Well, seeing that your cottage is in the other direction, i suppose you're heading to my apartment, like you always do."
She looked at him pointedly and Natsu simply whistled and looked away innocently.
Then inspiration struck him once again.
" Urm, about that..." He started almost sheepishly. "I...urm...was hoping to stay at your place for a couple of days."
The blond continued eyeing Natsu, " And why?"
"Ah...ya see...our house got caught a...urm...landslide." Natsu made up on the spot, sweating bullets under Lucy's scrutinizing glare, " So now Happy and I need a place to stay for the time being while we fix it up and so...we were thinking about staying at yours."
He ended with an uncertain note and looked up to look her in her eyes and held back the urge to run away from what he predicted was ' her wrath'.
The only thing holding him back from doing exactly that was the fact that, as annoying as it was, Tenebre's words that were echoing in his head,
"... please keep Lucy in your sight all times, i can't say much, but she's in danger."
He grumbled internally at her vague message, and made a mental note to bash the information out of her the moment he sees a single strand of her black or silver hair.
As a last resort, he unleashed 'that', " Please?"
Lucy resisted, she really did, but she could never really make herself resist him when he unleashed those teary, puppy eyes on her, finally relenting, she raised her hands up in defeat,
"Fine." She said exasperatedly, then she quickly added," But only till you get your house fixed up, okay? And you are NOT to get anywhere near my bed, you understand?"
Natsu grinned and hugged her, lifting the squealing blushing blond up in the air and spinning her around.
" Thanks Luce! You're a life saver!"
" Put me down!" She shrieked in embarrassment, groaning internally at the amount of knowing looks, giggling and snickers they got from the many patrons of the bustling afternoon market.
Natsu happy bubble was soon popped by... Well... Happy.
The blue furball flew headfirst into the pair and they tumbled to the ground as he wailed,
" NATSU YOU BAKA! YOU LEFT ME AT THE GUILD! WAAHHH!"
Something clicked, and Natsu finally realized something,
" I knew i was forgetting something!" He exclaimed.
" TENEBRE!"
Flying gold-plated paperweight.
" YOU."
Flying plate.
" INCONSIDERATE."
Flying lamp.
" SELFISH."
Flying saucer.
" BRAINLESS."
Flying chair.
"BUFFOON."
Tenebre skillfully dodged all the flying objects with practiced ease as she made her way to her table, which sat in the middle of a huge amphitheater, while a stern looking little girl with shoulder-length purple hair with lavender colored eyes stood there with her arms akimbo.
She scowled darkly, her dark purple, rose patterned flats tapping impatiently at the marbled floor as her black and purple gothic lolita dress shifted with each heavy, furious breadth she took.
The black rose pin on the left side of her hair, pining some of her bangs away from her face, was the only thing allowing Tenebre to see her completely enraged expression that marred her naturally adorable doll-like face and stature.
As she wielded her choice weapon of mass destruction.
A frying pan.
Yes, you've heard that right. A frying pan. A normally harmless piece of kitchen equipment that we normally use to fry our breakfast bacon and scrambled eggs turned into a weapon of mass destruction under the hands of this cute, petite little girl.
" Do you have any idea how much paperwork i've done for you during the period of your self-proclaimed holiday?!"
She swung her flying pan in the direction of Tenebre's head, which she dodged with practiced ease.
Meanwhile, Kori looked at their interaction with mild amusement from a spot in a corner of the amphitheater while Marie screeched in her bell like voice,
" Complaints, petitions and such!"
Panting hard, she rested the pan against her knee and glared holes into Tenebre head, lifting it up again, she charged at Tenebre with a rather shrill war cry. But just before she was about to hit her, Marie let go of the handle, letting the heavy iron pan clatter noisily behind her as she tackled Tenebre into a mini bear hug.
" You baka, leaving and sealing up yourself without even telling me or giving me any prior warning." She said, her weary voice muffled by Tenebre's chiton.
Tenebre slowly stroked Marie's hair, and smiled apologetically at her little assistant,
" I'm sorry Marie, but i had to do it."
With a surprising amount of strength, the petite little girl pushed Tenebre away and glared at her with watery eyes,
" That does not-!" She stopped mid-shout and steamed, " You know what? I give."
Tenebre smiled thankful at her, " Thank you Marie, but can we catch up later? We've got a crisis at hand."
Marie immediately snapped her jaws shut and flicked off the moisture from her eyes, whipping out a pair of glasses from out of nowhere, she swung her hands in front of her and several screens and keyboards appeared in front of her, much like Hibiki's Archive Magic.
Pushing up her glasses, she looked at Tenebre, and nodded in her direction, " Orders, Gatekeeper."
Nodding at Marie in appreciation, Tenebre said while taking her position behind her huge silver gilded curved table,
" Summon the Council, its an emergency."
Marie's small fingers worked quickly and efficiently, flying from keyboard to keyboard as she sent out different summons to different realms while reading out the replies from them effortlessly with practiced ease.
" Every member of the Dragon Council have been notified and are gathering at the main gate even as we speak. The old geezer has already been at the gate ever since that dragon bastard went back the the Celestial World. The Faerie King Oberon and Queen Titania and their band of retainers are already at the main gate of their world. The new king of Edolas has been notified, no reply from him yet, maybe due to his inexperience as this is his first meeting, i'll send one of my little ones to escort him to the main gate of his world as well as to brief him."
While listening to Marie's reports, Tenebre used her magic to clean up the place, returning things to their respective positions, she then quickly looked through all the reports Marie did during the time of her absence, reading through several at a time, updating herself on the recent events.
" The Arcadian Queen and her retainers are also on their way, Seraphim-sama sends her regards. The Gehennian King and his retainers are also on their way and he sends his regards in a rather colorful language. The various leaders of the Otherworld are awaiting your signal at the main gate as well."
Taking a quick look at her surroundings and deeming everything to be presentable enough, she nodded her head in satisfaction and took a deep breath to compose herself, then putting on her emotionless facade, she looked at Marie who was at her side,
" You ready?"
Marie allowed herself a smile," I'm always ready."
Kori watched with renewed interest as the Gatekeeper closed her eyes and said in a powerful voice full of authority and power,
" I, Tenebre Akarusa, Gatekeeper of the Worlds, command you, the gate that connects all, to open!"
A loud unlocking sound resounded throughout the entire area and seven gates appeared in seven different sections of the amphitheater, all bearing their own design.
The largest one of them all, the Gate of the Dragons, opened in all its red and gold glory, and out came eight dragons.
Marie's voice rang through the hall,
" Presenting the representatives of the Dragon World, The Dragon Council. Igneel of the Fire, Nero and Kori of the Water, Terra of the Earth, Grandine of the Air, Metalicana of the Metal, Lumiere of the Light, Noir of the Dark, and lastly, Draco of the Stars."
A bright flash of light enveloped all nine of the dragons, and in their place, stood nine humans that closely resembled the dragons themselves.
" I really, really, hate this form." Scratching at her tanned bronzed skin, the Earth Dragon looked uncomfortable in her human guise, constantly blowing away the fringe of her dark spring green short pixie cut hair and pulling at her clothes irritably.
The cerulean haired man beside her halted her fidgeting hands with his and said soothingly, " Chillax Terra, just endure your temporary skin for a few more short hours and you can return back to your earthly abode and back to your real form."
Kori, now in her human form, narrowed her icy blue eyes at her mate's hands and let out a low threatening growl from her throat, the temperature around her plummeting several degrees as frost slowly covered her surroundings.
" Nero..." She growled warning.
The water dragon made a hasty retreat from Terra and went straight to Kori's side, " Calm down, my love, i was simply reassuring Terra!"
Kori jabbed down on his booted foot with her sharp pointed crystal studded heels and hissed, " I . Am . Chill. So get your hand of that woman."
The rest of the newly transformed humans unconsciously shifted closer to a certain maroon haired man for warmth, and a short spiky black haired teenager peeked out from behind the man, swatting his white scaled scarf from his face.
" Jeez, Ice Queen, cut yer man some slack would ya! He was only trying to-"
Kori's straight, blue tipped white bob hair swung wildly when she swiveled her head sharply to glare at the celestial dragon" To what, Draco?"
" Eagh! Save me old geezer!" Draco ducked behind the fire dragon for cover, and the said person simply sighed, face-palming himself.
" Getting old eh, old geezer?" The spiky black haired man beside him laughed gratingly, like metal scraping against metal, nudging the grumbling smoldering black eyed man with his elbow as the said man grabbed the silver eyed teen by his v-neck shirt, tossing him easily in Kori's direction.
" Can it, Metalicana." He snapped back irritably, " I ain't that old."
" Oh come on Igneel," The woman on his other side giggled, her voice like wind chimes clinking in the summer breeze, flicking her long dark blue hair off her shoulders as her sky blue eyes looking bemusedly at him, " Age is nothing to us dragons. Am i right, Noir, Lumiere?"
The two black and white cloaked figures simply nodded silently, their deep cowls revealing nothing but a pair of deep purple eyes looking pitiably at the soon-to-be-frozen young celestial dragon and a pair of bored pale-yellow eyes.
" Greetings, representatives of the Dragon Council." Tenebre's voice cut through their squabble as she placed a hand above her heart, bowing respectfully to them.
All of them looked at Tenebre at the same time and gave her the same pointed look that said, "We need to talk.", with a fiery flare of the nostrils from a certain spiky redhead present in the group.
" Shall we?" Grandine took charge, her smooth steps making her look as if she was gliding on air as she sank gracefully on her designated seat, the rest of the 8 dragons following suit swiftly, with the exception of Draco who just managed to break himself free from his ice cage.
Tenebre gave them a silent nod, knowing that this moment would come inevitably, and directed her attention to the group of newcomers coming out from the gate of the Otherworld, a black and blue gate with images of wolves, phoenixes and other otherworldly creatures engraved on its heavy double doors.
" Presenting the representatives of the Otherworld! Fengari of the Wolves, Vidian of the Phoenixes, Beledonna of the Night and lastly, Nezhirt of the Soul."
Two bickering figures walked out of the gate,
" Get your filthy paws off me, Fengari!" A high pitched scream came from the mouth of the white haired teenager as her furry eared companion messed up her elaborate updo held up only by a simply blue crystal hair piece.
" Don't wanna~" A young looking guy, most likely the one called Fengari, said. His protruding grey and black ears twitched from his dark grey hair and his bushy grey tail stuck out from the only piece of clothing he wore, a simple pair of black slacks, as he continued teasing the girl who was only a head shorter than him, expertly dodging her spiky black war fan swatting at him.
" You mutt!" She screeched, red eyes glowing with a furious light as she jumped at him, almost tripping over her black and blue Victorian dress several times.
" Both you stop it this instant."
The two of them flinched and froze in their spots, turning their head slowly to look at the approaching figure of their fear.
" V-Vidian, you're b-burning the f-f-floor..." The man interjected hesitantly to the lady, Vidian, who seemed as if she was about set the two on fire with her flame-like eyes.
" This is a meeting of utmost importance and here both of you are bickering like children!" She seethed in the voice of a thousand men, like the sound of many different people speaking at the same time, her bare feet barely scraping against the marble floor as she glided over to the duo with her flaming hair drifting around her in her own gravitational bubble.
The man behind her looked uncomfortably at the fight breaking out in front of him, scratching at his leathery pale skin and his blond-white rat's nest hair as his olive green eyes shifted restlessly from side to side nervously, folding his arms into his lab coat's sleeves that looked as if it was stitched together over and over again, like he wanted to fold into himself and disappear from sight.
Thankfully for him, a loud sound from Marie clearing her throat stopped the phoenix lady from incinerating the duo in their spots, " Sometime before sunrise, my dear guests, sometime.", she said with an almost sarcastic tone.
Vidian took a deep breadth, and exhaled, " I'll get back to the both of you when this is done. Let's get seated."
The two nodded quickly and flopped their butts down onto their respective seats, Beledonna doing so with a tad more grace than her furry eared friend, and Marie finally managing to continue after she saw the nervous wreck Nezhirt scamper to his seat, sliding down his seat so much that he looked as if he was one with the table in front of him, peeking above the surface every once in a while before retreating back to his shadowy safe haven.
Marie then hurried to announce the next arrival coming through their own green and gold gate with various pictures of faeries and the seasons engraved on it
" Presenting the representatives from the Faerie Realm. The Faerie King Oberon and Queen Titania, along with their retainers, Vesna of Spring, Leto of Summer, Aki of Autumn and lastly, Iarna of Winter."
A crown of golden vines sat on King Oberon grey blond hair and Queen Titania honey brown hair as they strutted in donning a matching set of light green robes lightly encrusted with jewels of different shades of green and blue, their leather slippers tapping lightly as they walked in.
Their 4 retainers wore similar robes but in white, and donned a brooch representing their season on their left breast side, a jeweled flower for spring, a sun for summer, an autumn leaf for autumn and a snowflake for winter.
Both their striking blue eyes sought out Tenebre's, and they sent her a silent nudge of encouragement as they headed to their seats, with the 4 seasons trailing closely behind them, their iridescent wings glinting under the light of the blazing braziers hanging on the walls.
" Presenting the representative from the Celestial World, The Celestial King. "
The said being entered through his gate, engraved with all the 88 constellations, with his cape flaring and his mustache twitching with a dramatic flair.
" Its been a long time, old friend." His voice boomed from across the hall at Tenebre.
" Indeed it has." Tenebre replied rather stoically, but she can't help but let out a really small smile at the sight of a sorely missed friend, she quickly wiped it off when she saw Marie stiffen and felt the chilling sensation down her spine, even without Marie announcing it, Tenebre already knew exactly who was coming next.
" Presenting the representatives of Arcadia and Gehenna, Seraphim and Mephisto along with their retainers."
The two winged sovereigns passed through their gates at the same time with their entourage in line, their unfurled wings scattering an array of feathers in every direction.
Tenebre couldn't care less about greeting the leaders of both her race, she didn't have anything against them, but on the other hand, she did have something for the people that were standing directly behind them.
Her accursed relatives from both sides.
Tenebre held down her boiling emotions, struggling to keep her face completely neutral in an effort to not let her emotions control her actions, it would not bode well for her if she were to go berserk in front of these people, or rather, she refused to show any emotion, they were just not worth it.
Giving the two leaders a nod of acknowledgement, completely disregarding the people behind them, but just when she was about to turn her attention away from them, a voice snapped from their direction at her.
" Is that anyway to treat the people who raised and fed you, you abomination?!"
Tenebre's head swiveled in the direction of her arcadian grandparents and she seethed through clenched teeth, her eyes flashing dangerously,
" As far as i'm concerned, you're only here as a retainer, you have no say in this meeting, much less so in telling me, the Gatekeeper, what to do. It's only in the interest of your master that you are even allowed to step foot in here, if it wasn't for them, i would've already disposed of you the moment your breath entered my realm."
Their faces went red but even before any of them could say anything, a pale hand stopped them.
" Now now, i'm sure there is no need for all this unpleasantness, am i right, Ministers?" The Arcadian Queen said sweetly, an obvious tone of authority in her voice, sending them a clear message that said,
"That's far enough."
A silent threat, but an effective one, especially so since it came from the High Queen of Arcadia herself.
" Y-yes, your Eminence." The two bowed hurriedly to her and backed off hastily, almost bumping into their Gehenna counterparts as they too cringed violently under the heated, literally flaming red-eyed glare of their king.
Seraphim then looked at the Mephisto and his group, beaming brightly at them as she gestured to their places in the hall, " Shall we?"
The demon simply brushed past her, before stopping just a few steps in front of her then tossing her a curt nod of the head as if gesturing to her to get moving, Seraphim giggled, and did exactly that.
As soon as they were seated, Marie announced,
" Presenting the representative from Edolas, the newly crowned King Mystogan."
Dressed in his usual self that consisted of his tattered dark blue cape and oversized clothing but just without the mask, he walked over to Tenebre as instructed by the small purple bird on his shoulder,
" You must be the Gatekeeper, Tenebre Akarusa, i presume, or rather, as i'm told by this little one sent by you?" He inquired whist bowing," It's a pleasure to meet you, i hope you'd guide me along during this meeting."
" The pleasure's all mine," Tenebre bowed back, " but that little one's not mine, she belongs to my assistant, Marie."
At the mention of her name, Marie walked forward from behind Tenebre, and bowed back to the King of Edolas.
" My little one here will stay with you throughout the entire meeting, briefing you through everything that goes on in here, telepathically through a private channel linked directly to me, so please don't hesitate to ask me or her anything that you're not sure of."
" I will keep that in mind." Mystogan said.
With that Marie then directed her attention the entire amphitheater and announced loudly,
" Will you all please take your seats, the meeting will commence in a few short minutes."
An immediate rustle of clothes filled the room as everyone moved to their respective places, including Mystogan who was guided by the little purple bird on his shoulder, and the 4 Arcadian and Gehhenian ministers, after shooting Tenebre one last withering look.
After all of them have seated, Tenebre walked back to her table, with Marie following closely behind her, and said,
" Alright, I'm gonna cut straight to the point, Pheles is back."
A collective gasp was heard throughout the amphitheater and Mephisto slammed his hand on the marble table,
" That is impossible, we killed him. Pheles is dead."
" Or so we all thought. But i've evidence against this." With a flick of her wrist, a huge screen flickered on behind her, showing a close up of the decapitated head of Afene's with her neck surprisingly still attached.
" Take a closer look at the girl's neck." Tenebre zoomed onto the small red blotch near the bloodied end of the girl's neck.
" Damn." Metalicana muttered vehemently, staring intently at the tattoo of a small red scythe, " That fucker is back."
" But how is that possible? We killed him with our own hands! We saw him disintegrate right in front of our very eyes!" King Oberon exclaimed.
" Whether it's possible or not now is not the problem, what is he up too is, and how exactly did he get resurrected from the dead is next." Tenebre said, closing the screens behind her,
" Now, moving on the the matter of the gates..."
" Which brings us to our next topic of your incompetence as Gatekeeper." Tenebre's gehennian grandmother cut her off sharply, standing up to her full height and lifting her chin, looking over the others almost contemptuously.
Tenebre's eyes flared, but chose to remain calm, and said slowly but carefully,
" Care to elaborate on your choice of words, fellow retainer of the Gehhenian King?"
Blatantly ignoring her master's warning glare, Tenebre's grandmother pressed on, clearly overstepping her boundaries, but was so blinded by her pride that she simply brushed him off.
" You were clearly overcomed by petty human emotion for that worthless blond haired human trash, and you let that influence your train of thoughts, and without consulting any of us or without any warning, you closed all the gates with your little sealing in ice."
" Not only does this show that you do not have what it takes to be Gatekeeper, this only proves to show that you are nothing but a impulsive filthy hybrid child incapable of doing anything! " She finished with a over-exaggerated slash of her hand, a satisfied smirk on her face as she awaited some sort of outburst from Tenebre, but she was greeted with nothing but silence and many astounded looks from the other members present, and much to her anger, rather than the reaction she was expecting, she received the exact opposite.
Looking straight into her eyes, Tenebre smiled, it was a pleasant smile, but many noticed that it never reached those cold black and gold flecked silver eyes of hers.
" Oh is that so, Ture? But i believe this impulsive hybrid child you are talking about just so happen to be your granddaughter." Tenebre said, mild amusement in her eyes that hid a layer of hate and disgust. " and seeing that i've been 'trained' under you people, doesn't this show that you people are... What were those words again, worthless and impulsive?"
Ture's went red and she shouted back impulsively,
" How dare you talk back to me?! You've no right! You sully the name..."
In that instant, a blackish red prism trapped Ture inside it before she could say another word,
" I think you gone far enough Ture," Mephisto snapped, his eyes aflame, " Dacne, keep your damn wife in check, or i'll do something i should've done many years ago to the both of you the moment i found out you were hiding and 'training' your half angel half demon granddaughter behind my back."
Nodding his head frigidly, Dacne yanked at the prism holding his struggling wife back to their seats, eyeing his king warily as if he would suddenly decide to make his wife spontaneously combust.
Turning his flaming eyes to look at Tenebre, Mephisto said curtly, showing his obvious dislike for her.
" Apologies for my retainer's rather repulsive behavior."
He then sat back down on his throne like seat.
Clearing her throat, Tenebre continued the meeting,
" Now, moving to the next topic regarding the reopening of the gates." Tenebre said, looking over all of the members present, and bowed to them,
" My deepest apologies for the abrupt closure of the gates, but now with Pheles up and running, i've got mixed feeling about reopening the gates, which leads us to the main objective of our meeting today."
" Should we or should we not reopen the gates? Now's the time to deliberate with your fellow council and leaders of the other worlds, the meeting would recommence in a few minutes time, you're all free to roam."
The shuffle of clothes and wings were heard as all of them stood up and moved around, some greeting one another, others whispering amongst their own group.
Tenebre felt Mephisto approaching her from behind even before she even saw him, and turned around to greet him,
" Mephisto, its been awhile."
" Yes it has, Tenebre." He spat her name out as if it was toxic, " I'm surprised that i've yet to blast you into smithereens."
" After all, you are the very existence that i could never..."
" Mephisto." A gentle voice called his name from beside as Seraphim glided gracefully over to them.
An almost pained look crossed over his face, but it was gone before anyone but Seraphim could see, spinning on his heel, he stormed away in the direction of King Mystogan,
Seraphim looked at Tenebre apologetically," I'm sorry for his behavior, but he can't help it, afterall..." Her voice trailed off as she looked over Tenebre with longing eyes, but as soon as Tenebre saw it, it was gone and replaced with a bright smile,
" Enough apologies, it's so good to see you again Tenebre." She said warmly as she gave Tenebre a brief hug, which Tenebre returned.
" But leaving the greetings aside for now, a word in private, Gatekeeper, regarding the Oculos Divae, or more accurately, my eye..."
AN : The weather here in this side of the globe is really really weirding out, like crazy, it raining and shining like the flickering of a malfunctioning light bulb. And throwing many many things out of wack, like my laptop for example.
A HUGE thanks to those to all who is still supporting this amateurish story of mine, And i hope that you would all continue to do so! LOVE YA ALL! I REALLY REALLY DO! Just seeing that there are even people reading this makes me happy!
