Baby Trouble Just Got Doubled

When I awoke it was to crying, luckily the little guy had just started and I smiled picking him up gently and putting my finger into his mouth. He wasn't stinky or wet so therefore he must have been hungry. I smiled as his eyes misted over going a red color temporally before going back to blue. He seemed a lot bigger now then he did yesterday about six months old instead of only the day he was yesterday but not nearly as old as I seemed at his age, when I was born I was about a year old, which most probably meant he would age slower then a half vampire but way faster then a human. I smiled at him as he released my finger.

"Your a cute little guy aren't you?" I asked and he touched his hand to my forehead, I had never done this to anyone before and suddenly I was seeing through his eyes the lady that gave him warm blood that warmed his tummy. I also saw something swirling around me, that must have something to do with his talent. "Gladly little man." I replied as I took out a scrap of fabric and burped him. He smiled up at me and I bent down so his little hand could touch my forehead again. This time I was shown a warm dark room suddenly everything was bright and a man was looking at me holding up something scary. I cried out before I was handed to a woman with dark hair. "They are asleep." I said and sent him a memory of Jacob sleeping if he didn't quite understand.

He nodded and smiled up at me. I smiled in reply he was a cute little boy. "You know mister why don't we wake uncle Nahuel and go down to see the pack together?"

He sent me a image of more people it was less distinct more of a thought then a memory. I smiled at him in reply and nodded. "Yes there will be more people to hold you but you can't bite them." I reinforced the picture with a memory before shaking my theoretical finger at him. He nodded and I smiled in reply. "I need to set you down to get dressed." I explained as I put him in the cradle it wouldn't be long before he learned how to walk, physically he looked about a week old but mentally he was much older then that. I got dressed and smiled as I found some of my old baby clothes that Alice had bought for me, in cheerful yellows. I avoided the other colors and picked out a yellow onsie. I put it on him and smiling took him to where Nahuel was sleeping. "Nahuel?" I asked and he woke up as soon as I put my hand to my forehead.

"The baby?" He asked me, I showed it to him. "Good morning Alexander." He said smiling at the little guy.

"I was wondering if you wanted to have me babysit today?" I said and he nodded smiling. "If you want me for any reason I'll leave my phone number on the bedside table." He nodded again before his eyes slowly shut.

"I haven't been sleeping for nearly a week to worried about Abby, she didn't get any sleep because of Andrew, the hardest nine days ever."

"She said it was easy and not painful."

"It wasn't exactly easy, if you don't mind I'll go back to sleep..." He said and he was snoring lightly by the time he finished the sentence. I smiled and took Alex with me in my car to the reservation, he wasn't going to be a problem, I heard Abigale say he wasn't venomous which was a good thing. I smiled as he giggled in my old car seat. He was an adorable child. I smiled as I pulled up in front of Jake's house and using my key let myself in. The pack were all awake and gathered around a bundle that Leah held in her arms.

"Emily asked me to watch her." Leah said smiling. "She isn't used to the idea of Collin imprinting yet and so I agreed." She smiled and I realized that this must be Emily's baby.

The child wailed and that set Alexander crying. I put my finger in his mouth but he spat it out. I was used to the smell of the pack but obviously Alex and Sammy weren't to them it smelled like danger.

"Nessie?" Jacob asked and I smiled over screaming child.

"I'll go, I don't think they like each other." I said and everyone stared at the bundle I was holding.

"Trust Nessie to take a half vamp into a room full of shape shifters." Embry said and I touched the child's forehead lightly instantly he quieted reassured that the baby was like him, different but not weird not strange at all. Unlike Alex he couldn't even change and Alex was in no danger. Alex nodded and stopped crying nestling deeper into my arms.

"Maybe if I touch his forehead he will stop, would you mind switching for a minute, he's not venomous but just in case I told him not to bite anyone."

"I suppose not, I mean he's only a baby." Leah said doubfully. "Hello little half vampire don't take a piece out of me please."

Alex stared at her wide eyed. "Actually he's one quarter vampire if you want to be technical." I said handing her the child and taking the baby girl in its place. Leah stared down at the child as if she had never seen one before in her life. Sammeth giggled and reached his arms up pulling at her hair. She had a look on her face like she was stunned and I stared at her. "Oh Shit!" I said and I never curse. "He's going to go back to Argentia Leah, I'm sorry."

"Maybe if his mom imprints on one of the pack she will stay." Leah said desperately holding the baby, I felt so sorry for Leah.

"It doesn't work that way." I replied. "They don't know until you tell them, none of them did." I said to everyone. "Maybe that's part of the magic, I don't know." I shrugged and smiled down at Sammeth, She seemed to be baring her teeth at me but She knew I wouldn't harm her, didn't she? I had told her so and yet she still didn't believe me somehow. "I don't think Sammeth likes me very much." The child actually tried to bite my arm. "That would be a definite not liking sign." I said and looked at the pack. "Could someone hold her while I get my arm bandaged?" Jacob took the child and she actually burbled at him, I smiled Jake was great with babies and little kids.

"Is that so Sammeth?" He asked and she burbled again and then a smell filled the room that wasn't entirely pleasant. Jacob winced and pulled out a diaper bag changing the infant. I thought that was coming out of one end I suppose it was coming out of another.

Both children yawned at the same time which was really weird. I looked at Leah and she nodded putting Alex in a crib and I set Sammy down with him. They closed their eyes and seemed to go to sleep. "Sleep well mutant babies." Emmett said and I punched him at the same time as Leah. "Ow what was that for?"

"For calling Alex a mutant." She replied while I said at the same time, "For calling Sammeth a mutant." We both laughed and then it happened, Alex bit the infant lying next to him in her sleep and her eyes opened she started to wail we looked at each other horrified as I swooped her out of the crib and plunged my fangs into the spot where Alex had bitten her. I tasted something bitter and drank until it was gone then removed my fangs. The child stared at me wide eyed as her little body trembled going into shock.

"Don't die Sammeth!" Collin said and basically leaped at me coming through the window and shattering Jacob's glass. "Please don't die." We watched her together and I hoped that she was alright that I sucked out the venom in time, I should have thought of this but I didn't know how in charge of himself Alex was and I realized if he could nod his head he could bite someone in his sleep. "You killed her!" He roared and trembled all over.

"No she didn't Collin she was trying to save her!" Jake roared waking up Alex who wailed, Collin leaped at the crib.

"Demon spawn!" He said. "You care more for them then you do for your own kind Jacob Black. It is my right to kill the creature."

"NO!" Leah screached and raced to protect Alex. "If you touch him I will rip out your throat and feed it to the Cullens." She said and I stared at her as her eyes blazed shaking. Suddenly where I had been holding the baby before I was now holding a puppy who was trying to bite my nose off.

"Guys she's alright, see?" I asked and showed them the little puppy. "And hungry for me, I suppose I'm everyone's faveroite meal." I said and the wolves stopped shaking all but Jacob.

"Don't even joke about that!" He roared and Sammy wimpered.

"Jake you need to calm down, your scaring Sammy." I said and everyone stared at me. "What I think it suits her." I said and everyone laughed.

"The werewolf names the vampire and now the vampire names the werewolf." Embry said.

"Half vamp I don't do that bite thing." I replied and that got them laughing harder. "Well I do I just keep my pretty eyes." That really got them going as the puppy took another swipe at my nose. "Someone take this vesious creature away from me." I said and Collin took the puppy, she stared at him and where a puppy had been a baby was giggling and raising her hands up. Did I mention that she looked about six months old now? I thought not. She padded Collins face and Collin's eyes filled up with tears as he hugged her too him.

"Collin has you now don't worry Sammy." He said and glared at me, she giggled and clapped her hands looking at Alex, Alex stared back at her a smile on his face.

"Som'i!" He said and everyone stared at him. He grinned and said it again. "Som'i, Som'i, Som'i." He repeated.

"Awe'ik." She replied and everyone switched her stares over to her she giggled delightedly. "Awe'ik." She said again clapping her hands. "Cow'in." She said and Collin looked besotted.

"Did you hear that she said my name, Oh Sammy."

"Som'i! Som'i!" Alex giggled delightedly.

"Awe'ik!" She replied and I laughed it was so adorable and Sammy was fine.

"I am so glad they are fine." I said and everyone nodded. "You must really love her Collin, I should have thought I am really sorry."

"Hey, no harm no fowl and this way she grows up a werewolf instead of having to get used to it. It also aged her a bit." He said staring at her and I thought back, Huilen's eyes had been brown flecked with bronze I remembered.

Sammeth let out a playful growl and Alex smiled widely. He flipped over to his stomach seeing his friend and tried to crawl, falling on his face but not crying instead getting up and trying again. They were both shaky on their feet but the little pup and the little boy smiled at each other before leaping upon each other giggling and letting out little false growls. Sammy nipped his ear and he had her tail in his mouth he giggled and they rolled over each other he then crawled away and she smiling pounced on him. He laughed and stroked her fur.

"Som'i!" He said and Sammy howled in reply. He giggled again and then leaped upon her, she backed away and then crawling as fast as he could Alex chased after her. We were all laughing at the children's game, when suddenly they both just sank to the ground in a heap. I went over to them and saw that they had fallen asleep, curled around each other.

"Maybe we should leave them like that." I said and smiled at Collin. "I gave the pack a playstation for Christmas would you like to play? We have motor cross." He grinned and nodded. I plugged in the controllers and we sat down together for some gaming. I beat Collin one time and he beat me one time, it was fun.

"Can I play?" Embry asked and Collin nodded, Embry took over his spot. I smiled as we tried to win against each other and then I got out the game I had bought with me. "Van Helsing." I said. "Emmett beat it and was wondering if you would like to play, it has a bit of vampire stink on it but I think the big tough men can handle that." I said and they instantly put it into the machine.

Embry got particularly vocal on the first level. "Die Vampire scum." He said and then started laughing maniacally. Embry was about the best furball friend anyone could have. He was so funny and reminded me of Emmett somehow. I knew those two would get along if they could just get over that annoying vampire werewolf hating each other thing. I smiled at the thought of Embry at the Cullens playing with Emmett motor cross. Emmett launched his car into the ditch and thats where my daydream ended. I smiled as Embry lost the game. "Stupid vampires." He said and I laughed.

"Hey watch it Emy." I said and he laughed at the old nick name. When I was two in human age I did go through that faze but not when I was physically two. I made nicknames for all the pack refused to go to bed and usually fell asleep on the couch as Mom didn't want me to throw a tantrum. I laughed at that, Mom had always been an easy sell on what I wanted to do, everyone I knew had been. There were ground rules of course but other then that I was pretty much free to do what I wanted. I smiled Embry died again the only game he was alright at was motor cross and that was saying something. I played video games with the guys and watched the babies chaise each other until it started to get late. Alex yawned and pulled on my jeans as Sammy changed back into a girl. I held one of them in each hand and gently told Sammy that she couldn't go phasing all the time around other people. She nodded and Collin took her. "I had better get back to my family." I said yawning.

"You look tired, I'll drive you."

"Sweet Jake but no. I can drive myself not only can but I want to drive myself." I replied Jake had seemed nervous ever since I backed into his mailbox and tore it off its post. That wasn't my fault as I had explained to Jake, the mailbox moved to spite me. He had agreed with me , which surprised me although he offered to drive me more then he had before the mail box incident. I put Alex into the car seat, Leah hovering over me and watching my every move, gosh this was annoying. I then got into the front buckled up before Leah opened the passenger door.

"Take me with you!" She pleaded. "I can converse them to stay."

"Leah please, they are both tired and the last thing they want to deal with is a desperate werewolf." I replied and she nodded before closing the door. I drove home and unbuckled Alex, he had fallen asleep during the ride. I smiled and gently took him out of the car seat and inside the house.

"There is my little man, you wore him out." Abigale said and I smiled at her, she had a beautiful accent.

"More likely he wore me out, he is a handful." I said and Dad smiled.

"All babies are." He replied and hugged me. "Now lets get mine something to eat, your hungry." He said and I nodded.

"So Abigale how long are you thinking of staying?" I asked her and she smiled.

"Well Nahuel is eager to get back to Argentia and I most probably will go with him, although I do like it here."

"Would you want to stay if there weren't other vampires living here?" I pressed and she shrugged.

"I wouldn't mind having the help with Alex but if you weren't here I wouldn't be in the first place. I got enough money from my mother to buy a house somewhere someday when I feel like settling down."

"I really like Alex, if you stay I would be more then happy to watch him again." I told her and she smiled at me.

"Thank you, I'll think about it." She replied and my Dad smiled before starting to make food for the three half human. It was ready just a little while later and I ate pretty quickly before going to my room to sleep. I was too exhausted to bother with clothes and fell deeply asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.
