I awoke in the morning to Alex's screaming which woke Amelia and made her scream, it seemed as though they were trying to drown each other out. Nahuel and I both rushed into the other room and saw Amelia over the cradle, her finger was tightly clamped in Alex's jaw. Please don't punish him he is sorry, he saw that I was hurting and started crying.

"Alex you know that your not supposed to bite people."

It was my fault, I opened his crib.

"Looks like you tried to, but didn't quite manage it." Nahuel said smiling at her as she and Alex both were sobbing. "Next time Alex can call for us when he needs us, that way only one of us needs to wake up. You shouldn't have to worry about unlocking his crib or anything like that."

I won't next time, I promise. I smiled at Nahuel.

"You Alex do you promise too?" He asked and Alex nodded his head bobbing up and down. "However you need to learn that biting people has consiquinces, your lucky that Amelia is half vampire so she is unaffected. If you had bitten Leah or someone else in the pack you might have seriously harmed them." Alex hung his head and I nodded at Nahuel. "That being said you are staying home today and will not be allowed to watch movies until this afternoon." I felt that the punishment was harsh but Alex did need to learn control. "I suppose this means that I will be staying behind." Alex started to scream and Nahuel picked him up sighing.

I nodded and picked up Amelia who was looking at Alex terrified. "We will make a Mommy and Amelia day out of it." I said.

It was my fault. She said and I shook my head.

"You meant to help us Amelia and play with Alex, Alex is responsible for his actions." I said. "Now Alex, this screaming is not befitting to your case, or to your stature as a young gentlemen." I told him trying not to laugh at the old words that Carlisle the only one who could stand to punish me said. He nodded and stopped his screaming. "Are you hungry Amelia?" I asked her and she shook her head.

Thirsty. She replied and I smiled.

"What about you Nahuel, are you thirsty?" I asked him and he nodded smiling.

"Hey Alex are you thirsty?" He asked and Alex nodded.

"Well then I suppose there would be no harm in going hunting." I said and both children looked delighted. "For deer of course and we have to be back soon." I said and they both nodded. "You need to be careful and fallow instructions." I told them and they nodded, I took Amelia's hand and we went out into the forest. "Open yourself to your senses, smell the blood feel it close to you, as you get closer it will smell more and more until you actually taste it." I said and they nodded. We all became a family of predators in that moment giving into instinct, I felt a need to protect the children while hunting as something primordial stirred within me. I smelled them before I saw them, I started to run and my family fallowed me to the herd. We laid in wait for the deer watching them in their meadow.

"Take your target and run them down." I instructed feeling my iron strong teeth, they both nodded and as one we attacked. I latched onto a buck getting my fangs into him as always they stopped their struggle at once paralyzed their eyes closed their breath rising and falling, I often wondered if they slept or if they were paralyzed. I watched the children carefully circling a young fawn together. Amelia struck while Alex distracted it and gestured with her hand for him to join him. I was surprised that they could share, my parents could share blood drinking from the same body but they were the only ones in my family who could. They finished their meal and looked at us. I smiled at Amelia her face was covered in blood and I gently wiped it off while Nahuel did the same with Alex.

I took Amelia's hand in mine and we ran back together to the house her face was radiant and glowing. I smiled and went up knocking on my parents door and retrieving the other clothes we got for the size she was now. I pulled out dress after dress and she chose one with teddy bears dancing on it. She looked down at the bears now that she was in it smiling. I put the dresses in the cottage closet before getting my keys and getting into the car leaving Sam's car seat behind. I drove for two hours to Seattle suggesting that although it was still early Amelia rest now. She nodded and fell asleep in the carseat, I smiled I was going almost double the speed limit I inherited a love of speed from my family as well as a radar detector.

I found Toys Are Us store, Amelia was sound asleep in the back and I gently shook her. "Amelia, honey we are here." I said and smiled as she opened her eyes. I unbuckled her and lifted out of the car. She took my hand and walked with me to the toy store. "Amelia try to contact me privately, if you really want something you can point at it and I'll consider it sound fair?" I asked her and she nodded.She looked at the truck cart and I smiled and opened the door, she got inside as I drove the cart. She pointed at the doll isle and I smiled going down it as she looked puzzlingly at them. She shook her head and pointed at a stuffed animal isle the next one over.

She saw a wolf and I smiled it was grayish and there was another one that was brownish. "Which one do you want?" I asked and she pointed at the brown one and then tried to get me to understand. "Are you feeling alright?" I asked and put my hand on her forehead.

I want one for Alex! She said and I smiled she was thinking of her cousin.

"Well I'll consider that, but which one do you want?" She pointed at the grey one. She got out of the car and I could tell she was tired of sitting. I took her hand in mine as I pushed the cart down the isle, I smiled when she stopped seeing a wolf puppet, is fur was grey and she smiled reaching out for it. I laughed and put my hand in it she seemed facenated at the way the mouth opened and closed. She shook her head after a moment smiling back at the wolf in the cart. She walked down the isle and came back up, before going into the next isle. I fallowed her and stared at the isle of balls, her eyes went wide as she touched each one, settling on a interesting one, it was full of holes and she squished its rubber surface together before throwing it and watching it expand. She grinned and I added it to a cart before stopping at another ball, it was plastic and angular. She pulled at one of the sides and I was as suprised as her to see it expand and most probably as delighted. I added it to the cart as well and she grinned looking around more. She went to the next isle and looked at the trucks smiling as she found a small one that wound up as you pulled it back and then rushed forward. She added it to the cart.

"Do you really want a truck?" I asked her and she nodded going next door into the action figure isle, she grinned at the incredible hulk and pressed a button.

"Its clobbering time." She laughed and put her head to my hand. I felt my gift work suddenly, she was really smart already. For Uncle Emmy. That got me laughing as well. We also added a Heman to the cart for Jasper. I couldn't help but laugh at the phrases. We continued down the isle and to the next, Amelia was delighted by the caustumes and stared at a princess dress set, it was marked for five and up so it should last for a month or two hopefully worth buying it. She smiled delighted by it.

She took my hand and we continued to look throughout the toy store. She touched my hand to her head. Have you thought of it?

"Yes and I don't see why Alex shouldn't have a stuffed wolf as a toy." I replied and she smiled delighted running back to isle and getting the wolf puppy. I had to admit that they were cute although they didn't exactly look like wolves. I got a car seat, went to the checkout and paid, Amelia grabbed the wolf hugging it to her and sucking one of her small fingers. I put the bags back in the car and the moment the door was closed, Amelia started to speak in her peculiar and wonderfu way way again.

Can we do that again sometime Mommy?

"Sure, would you like to get a treat? I mean food." I said turning on the car.

Is it like pancakes?

"Maybe." I replied.

Then I want to try it.

"Alright but first lets get some proper food." Proper food came in the form of a Pizza Hut, yes I was still at times a child but then again I had reason to be I was seven after all. Afterwards I took her to a Basket Robbins and ordered her a single scoop kiddie cone. She had loved the pizza and eyed the ice cream doubtfully. I smiled as she took a tentative lick after seeing how I licked mine and took another quickly. I sat in a booth with her to eat the ice cream, as she ate it it was hard to say whether her mouth or her face got more of it.

"Is she yours?" A woman asked and I shook my head.

"My sister." I replied. "I'm babysitting her for my Mother."

"I have some little kids too, that's my husband over there, he's just like the boys sometimes." She said and I realized that she had twin boys, I couldn't imagine that.

"They are beautiful." I said and she smiled as Amelia tugged on my sleeve. I nodded and took her hand leading her back to the car. She gripped her wolf tightly as I buckled her up in the car seat. I got into the front seat and started the drive home. Half way through Amelia fell asleep snoring slightly as the repercussions of the sugar rush hit her. I got back to the house at nine at night and smiled at Nahuel waiting for me in the cottage with Alex asleep in his arms.

"We both wanted to stay up for you but the little guy nodded off." I smiled and gently unbuckled Amelia pulling her from the car seat and carrying her inside into the bedroom that I was fast thinking of as a nursery. I laid her gently on the bed got off her clothes and put on her nightgown. I was surprised that she didn't like the dolls for some reason and yet the wolf was still clutched tightly in her arms. I pulled back the blankets gently laying her under them and pulling them back up over her, lightly kissing her on the forehead. I put the wolf in Alex's cradle and helped Nahuel take out the toys. I then went to my room to change into my nightgown before Nahuel laid beside me. His arms wrapped around me and I drifted into sleep.
