Luke's POV

I walked down the hall, away from Annabeth's 'room'. Little bitch hadn't realised yet all the pain I was saving her from. She didn't know Percy Jackson like I did.

"Sir," Ethan said as he walked along-side me. "Percy escaped, just like you said. We lost him, but we're pretty sure he's still going to the docks."

I felt a smug smirk tug at my lips. "Perfect."

My horse was waiting in the courtyard, and I mounted up. Ethan behind on his own horse, I galloped towards the docks. I wanted to be there when Percy was captured again. And of course, a prisoner caught trying to escape faces execution, no trail.

The dock was lined with soldiers, all of them waiting out of sight. Percy would run right into their trap. Then, he would die and Annabeth would be mine. There was no way his pirate crew could save him now.

I pulled my horse to a stop within sight of the edge of the pier, waiting impatiently for Percy to appear. Even my mare seemed bored, stamping her hooves on the cobblestone street.

It was around midnight when Percy made his appearance. He was sprinting the water, that cursed sword of his drawn and ready. Just as he moved from stone to wood, two guards stepped out and crossed their spears across his path. Two more blocked him from behind. Soon he was surrounded.

Dismounting, I smugly made my way over to him. "Well, well, Percy you really are a fool."

He didn't seem as shocked or concerned as I would've liked. In fact, he almost looked... pleased.

"As usual, Luke, you underestimate me." A smirk grew on his face. He threw his sword down and held up his hands in surrender. Cautiously, a guard stepped forward and grabbed Percy's arms, pulling them behind his back.

Percy Jackson never surrendered.

Somehow, this had been way too easy.

As he was walked away, Percy sent one look back at me over his shoulder. A look of satisfaction and arrogance.

Annabeth's POV

Luke came to see me again the next morning.

"Percy was caught trying to escape last night."

I froze, feigning shock. I knew all about the plan, thanks to Nico. That was Jason's signal; it was going to happen soon.

"I thought you might like to know that Percy's time on this earth is coming to an end."

With that, Luke left. I sat down on the bed, pulling off my boot to reveal the hidden knife. I need to secure it to a more accessible place, where it would still be masked from sight. Strapping it to my thigh, I stood up and ran to the bathroom door to make sure it was secure.

I needed to be prepared. Percy wasn't 'caught', it was all part of the plan. I knew, and Luke probably did too, that Percy could easily have cut those men down and dived into the sea.

Looking out the window, I saw that it was nearing midday. Percy's hanging would take place tomorrow, most likely. I prayed that Jason, Reyna and Grover were ready to save us, or Percy really would lose his life.

Jason's POV

"Jason, Reyna," Nico replied, breathless as he appeared out of the shadows. "Luke got him."

Reyna glanced sideways at me. I nodded. She stood and left the room to gather the other leaders.

"So Percy didn't kill you?"

Nico shook his head. "Obviously not, Jason, you twit."

I smirked. "Is Annabeth okay?"

"I didn't have time to visit her, but she knows the plan."

"Good."

At that moment, Reyna came back, Grover, Beckendorf, Thalia and Phoebe. They took their seats around the table. Reyna and Thalia sat on either side of me, Reyna casting an uncertain look at me.

"Okay, as Reyna probably told you, Luke captured Percy while he tried to escape. This means we have a day or two to sail to the mainland and rescue Percy before the hanging."

Grover let out a breath. I knew how he was feeling, if we failed, Grover would lose his best friend.

"Then lets go. We have no time to waste." Beckendorf said.

"I agree," Thalia said. "Everyone knows the plan, including Percy and Annabeth. As far as we know Luke has no idea what we're planning. So what are we waiting for?"

Reyna smiled at me. "We're waiting for someone."

Percy's POV

Luke didn't risk leaving me unguarded a second time. Now my wrist were shackled to the ceiling, my ankles were bounding a hovered a foot above the ground. The cell was completely made of stone except for the door, which was guarded by two of Luke's best men, as well as Ethan Nakumura.

I was in Luke's top-security prison.

And yet I couldn't keep the smirk off my face.

They didn't know what Nico had told me. They didn't what Jason had planned. My crew was coming.

I would free Annabeth, and kill Luke. He didn't deserve to live anymore.

"You ready to die, Percy?" Ethan asked nonchalantly, leaning against the wall on the other side of the hall outside my cell.

I shrugged as best I could with my arms shackled above my head. "What makes you think I'm gonna die?"

Ethan's eye widened, and my face broke out into a smile. I was hoping to unnerve him, and it seemed to be working. "There's no way you can escape again."

"I don't need to escape."

Eh, average ending?

Please R&R :D And please take a look at Cast Away ;P
