I KNOW, I KNOW! I AM LATE!...AGAIN!

Reasons: I'm also really behind in my credit for high school. If ya wanna know the chiz you can read it after the chapter!

Also if you do want the old chapters for this story(the rough draft or what ever you want to call it) just say so and I'll put in in something called- ML trash chapters.
Just say and I'll do it because it feels like a waste of work if I just delete them all. But there are some chapters that won't be put up because- well one of them I accidentally deleted and no...I didn't have an extra file of that chapter (I was so devastated I mopped and sulked as if I deleted part of my being. Any way, yea so I was sad, and I don't want to retype that chapter. Oh and second, I may edit some other chapters and reuse them just because they're really good chapters... and the fact they can still be applied to the new story...so um- okay.

I also read my first chapter I posted and it sucked. I'm still trying to get back into the grove! I hope this chapter's better though!

.Chapter 2.

~Shards~

_(*≧ω≦)ノ_Third POV_ \(≧∀≦)_

_.:|_25 minuets Earlier_|:._

A figure staggered into a narrow ally way, she panted from her furious running. She wore a tight white t-shirt that had thin, horizontal black lines, an unzipped black jacket with a hood, a pair of black skinny jeans, some matching black and white checkered scarf and shoes, and some really dark shades.

Out of exhaustion, she leaned against the wall before slumping to the floor, unable to keep herself upright any longer. Removing her hood, the figure wiped the sweat from her brow. No good, I can't find him anywhere... She thought as she buried herself in her hands.

Did he manage to escape?...What am I going to do? She racked her brain for a solution but came up with nothing. Getting up, she dusted off her clothes before nearing the ally's entrance. Before she could walk out, the sound of a store bell rang and she ducked back behind the corner. Reaching into her pocket and furiously rummaged around before pulling out a compact. She flipped it open and looked in it's reflection.

Out side the ally, three boys ,a couple inches shorter than her shoulder, walked out of the convenient store. All of them looked around the same age, had the same height, same taste in fashion, and were all eating some icecream that they had just purchased.

Purchased?

Yes, purchased.

"Huh, so that's how people get stuff legally." A blond boy verbally quirked as he looked at his choco-vinilla swirl with his wide blue amused filed eyes.

"Boomer, I bought that to eat not to admire." A red haired boy said to the blond, his back facing towards her. Boomer? She silently wondered if that was his real name.

"Look, it's melting already." The red head stated indifferently while pointing to the dribble on the side of the cone. Boomer made an incomprehensible noise out of shock before he furiously gulped the melting treat.

"I have to agree with Boomer." Remarked a one eyed pony tailed...boy? She was unaware of the green eyed person's gender...the pony tail threw her off.

"What? To admire the ice cream?" The cap wearing read head questioned.

"No, I mean about the purchased part." The green eyed person clarified before taking a lick of his multi colored icecream. Sherbet? Looks good...

"Ohw, wha abow wit?" Replied the red head, not really paying attention as ate and talked at the same time. All of them where unaware that their eavesdropper was getting annoyed, swearing she would call them Cap-boy and Pony-tail until they said their names.

"Isn't it weird?" Pony-tail quirked his only visible brow.

"I guess so. It's defiantly new though, not to mention boring. I means, how can they wait in those stupid lines just to get stuff?" Cap-boy wondered leaning his head to the side. A vain pulsed on Pony-tails head. Instead of questioning the subject, she was starting question if Cap-boy was purposely trying to annoy Pony-tail.

"That's what I've been saying! We didn't get theses like we usually do but we got them legally." Pony-tail gestured the had with his icecream to the other two frozen delights.

"Hey! I just said that!" Boomer exclaimed, his was icecream now gone and he was currently chewing on the waffle cone.

"Not really~." Cap-boy dragged, ignoring Boomer's side comment. She could all but see the smirk appearing on his face.

"Huh?" The other two harmonized.

"You guys seriously thought I had money on me?" Cap-boy snickered. Boomer and Pony-tail stopped eating and momentarily pondered at the thought. Then their head simultaneously jerked back and looked at Cap-boy with realization. It was Boomer who vocalled their thoughts, his voice was questioning as if he was still processing the thought.

"Nooow that you mention it...How did you get the money?" Cap-boy brought up his hand and hit the back of the blond's head, not enough to hurt him but enough to knock his head forward. The sudden motion caused Boomer to lose his grip on his halfway done waffle cone, leaving him juggling it back and forth.

"BAKA! I stole it! How else would I get it?" Cap-boy raged as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Stole it? She wasn't just listening to some brats, nope she was listening to thieves...not that she cared, she's had her share of robberies and pickpocketing. So who was she to judge?

"From who?" Pony-tail asked, tilting his head to the side.

"That stupid man in the store who bent over while his wallet practically falling out of his pocket. It was as if he wanted someone to take it." As if to make a point, Cap-boy took a brown leather wallet from his pocket. "Look." They looked at the wallet before he pocket it.

The lady started to wounder why she was even hiding. No, why did she even listen to their stupid conversation! She had something more urgent to do! Angry at herself, she stuffed the mirror back into her jacket and put her hood back on. Just as she walked out of the ally she heard something that caught her attention.

"Hey did you guys hear that there was an attack down town?" Pony-tail asked. She froze, her back facing the now very interesting conversation.

An attack? She thought, turning half-way around so that her body faced the road. This might help me... She noted as she observed the boys from the corner of her eye. Coincidentally there was a bus stop sign right next to her, so it gave her an excuse to stand there without seeming suspicious.

"Yeah, why?" Boomer said a puzzled expression scrunched on his face. Cap-boy just replied with a swift nod.

"Do you guys wanna go watch it? It's been boring for a while because neither Mama or the other monsters have done anything." Pony-tail said, after finishing the last of his icecream.

...Mama?

Yes, she thought that instead of the fact that kids watching an attack for pure amusement, there where monsters, the where about of the fight, and the implement that this type of stuff happens all the time.

"Maybe...wait when was the last time we saw Mama?" Boomer thought as he licked the remains of his treat from his fingers. "

Wait...THEY'RE RELATED! She actually turned her head in there direction and gaped at their features. Pony tail was the palest of all three and Cap-boy was the tannest. They all had different hair colors. Boomer and Pony-tail had different eye colors and their facial features where too different to that of siblings.

"I dunno, but he'll show up when he wants to." Cap-boy said, giving an indifferent shrug.

Their Mama... is a he? She gave up...Everything they said was too hard to process, she'll just go with the flow.

"Yeah, your probably right. What about the fight? Wanna go see?" Boomer asked turning to Cap-boy. Cap-boy crossed his arms and thought for a second. Lifting up a hand reviling a popsicle-stick before chucking it into the trash can in front of store. After it landed successfully in the bin, Cap-boy boy pushed past his brothers and continued down the side walk, the opposite direction she was standing. Without a second thought, the other two boys followed. At lest now she could follow them with out bein-

"Nah, if you wanna watch it they'll show it on the news tomorrow. Besides if there's a fight, then that means there's no line at the arcade." Cap-boy deviously said as he crossed his arms behind his neck. Then they all eagerly agree to go before they started boasting on who was gonna beat who at what game. Which quickly turned into a really loud argument that involved a lot of shoving and laughing. The hooded figure turned away from the trio and walked away in the opposite direction.

...

Well there goes her plan to go to follow them to the fight...Oh well. She could just go down town by herse-

She froze in mid-step.

She didn't know where down town was...

...

In the midst of her panic, she did something that would go against her better judgement... and that was something stupid- not just stupid but something very stupid.

"WAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiT~!"

Told you.

The next thing she new was that she was grabbing Cap-boy's shoulder and turning him around. Getting a look at his facial features for the first time. She felt her hood slipping off her head but didn't retract it due to her shock. Her eyes widened as she took in what she was looking at. It was impossible.

Red eyes?

-∇-∇- Brick's POV-∇-∇-

Jeez, you can't trust society to mind it's own business. One second we were on our way to the arcade and the next someone's grabbing my shoulder. Before I could brush the hand off, I was spun around.

"What the-! OI WHO THE HELL DO YOU THIN-!." I froze...the person who turned me around was dressed in black, wore huge dark glasses, and had white hair...but the thing that made my brain stop working was that, this person... the one who just turned me around...who was still touching my shoulder...was a girl.

"GAHK!" I shouted with disgust. I quickly backed away from the hag before furiously wiping whatever germs she left on me.

"OI WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM HAG!?" I heard Butch yell. When he said that the lady seemed to snap out of her trance. She marched right up to Butch who watched her in shock, surprised at her bold action. Then she reached for his face and pinched his cheek before giving it a hard pull, stretching it as if it was made of rubber.

"Who the hell are you calling a hag, Pony-Tail!? And your problem is that you need to learn some manners!" The white headed hag yelled before giving Butch's cheek a harder pull.

I had been glaring at Boomer who had been laughing at the entire thing, but then he suddenly stopped laughing. I turned to follow his gaze and was met with the sight of our green brother's eye tearing with pain. I could say for the both of us that we were pissed. I was going to help him out but Boomer beat me to it. I was shocked that he overcame his fear of touching her when he bolted to the aid of our brother. When he was in front of her, he gave her a hard shove in my direction. He was glaring at her before he averted his eyes toward to meet mine. Then he gave me knowing smile. I smirked.

My turn.

I lifted my leg and when she was in my range, gave her a swift, not to mention hard, kick. She flew to the side and her back met with a street pole with a resounding thud before crumpling to the floor.

"Hmph." I puffed through my nose, my smirk widening. That's what you get for messing with the Rowdy Ruff boys.

Turning around, I spotted Boomer shaking his hands lightly, probably getting rid of the germs, and Butch soothing his cheek. Eh, he'll get over it. It's just a bruised cheek. After checking on them, I turned back around and looked at the lady on the ground. Her head was slumped towards the ground and her hair blocked her face from my view. I walked towards her, debating weather I should nudge her or not. I didn't want to touch her but I guess it's alright if it's just with the tip of my shoe.

"Oi... are you alive?" I said, giving her leg a quick kick.

I actually meant to say if she was conscious but whatever, potato - potahto. When she didn't reply, I gave her another kick but she still didn't wake up. Weather or not my kicks where light or hard, they were probably hard. Did they hurt? Most likely. Did I care? That's a definite- N.O. It looked like she passed out and wasn't gonna wake up anytime soon. I turned to walk away but stopped when there was a tug on my leg. When I turned to look, I was met with the sight of the lady bending over her legs with her arm out-stretched, grasping onto the bottom rim of my pants. My stomach churned in disgust and annoyance. I ripped my leg out of her grip and walked out of her reach.

"What do want?" I sneered, beyond annoyed. All we wanted to do was to get to the arcade, break into the token machine, take the cool prizes, and play all the games we wanted while the fight down town distracted everyone! Was it too much to ask?! Then this lady comes out of literally nowhere and takes away our precious gaming time...also known as the time where I cream Boomer and Butch at every game in the arcade.

So if I felt like interrogating this hag, I'll freaking interrogate her! I deserve some freaking answers! Especially when she almost ripped Butch's face off! Only Boomer and I can do that! Aside from that, I also want to know how she was able to hurt Butch if she was only human.

Was she human? Constricting my pupils, I looked at the air around her. There was no light emanating from her body, confirming my suspicions that she was indeed a normal human.

Then how did she do it?... I was intent on finding out.

"I said what do you want." I snarled as I repeated my previous question, venom leaking into my voice, displaying my lack of patience. Her response was the same as before, a silent one. She till sat on the ground but now had the arm, which was earlier out-stretched grabbing my leg, was in her lap. All she was doing was looking at me with her stupid blank face! My patience, if possible, was waning thinner. To make it worse, she wore these huge black glasses.

Who dose she think she is, a secret agent?
Even if you are, you don't scare me! I'm a freaking super villain with anger issues, so you're the one who should be scared!
I glared her down.

Then I calmed for a moment and noticed something...no not noticed, more like I sensed it. Her gaze from behind her glasses, her silence, and her stillness. She was studying me and my behavior...

But why?

In order to figure it out, I first have to get her to talk and I have just the plan.

She wanted something from us but she won't tell us if I keep asking her...so I won't.

I racked my fingers through my bangs, brushing them up and let out a tired sigh. I closed my eyes, leaned on one leg, and turned my body slightly to the side, giving off the appearance of someone stressed. I opened my eyes halfway and looked at her from the corner of my eye, she was still in the same position. When Butch saw my look, he lashed out in a somewhat anger - restrained type of calmness.

"Old lady, he asked you a question." Butch growled in a voice laced with restrained venom and edged malice.

It was obvious that he was still pissed about his cheek. Without even looking at him, I could tell that he was glaring at her; heck, I could almost feel the hate oozing off of him. Inwardly I was grinning, but outwardly the corners my lips only tugged slightly upward. I knew Butch was going to say that because-

Everything was going according to plan.

Not even giving her a second glance, I slightly bowed of my head and I closed my eyes. Then turned around to face my brothers, my back now facing the hag. My hand raised, I waved dismissively to my brothers as I continued in the direction I was walking earlier.

"Whatever, if she doesn't wanna talk- then she doesn't have to. It really doesn't matter to me because either way we won't gain anything from it." I spoke in a cocky yet indifferent tone as I stuffed my hands into my pockets. What I think was from their shock, Butch and Boomer made unintelligible noises at my dismissal. I stopped walking and, without turning around, I said.

"Come on guys, we're leaving."

Then I continued down the street, knowing they would follow. Seconds later, I could pick up sound of their feet tapping against the pavement. I knew that she wanted something and it had to be something important if she went to directly stop us. So because of that, I knew that she would speak. If she didn't then she was just some crazy hag. I had enough sense know that it wasn't the latter option and with that I started to count down.

3...

The sound of her standing on her feet could be heard.

2...

I smirk.

1.

"Wait."

I was right.

I was obviously pleased with myself and I didn't even try to conceal it when I turned around to face her. Butch and Boomer both scowled at her arrival with annoyance. When they turned to look at me their features turned to one of shock, probably surprised at my behavior. Their looks turned perplexed when they saw my smile, but that only made me break out into a grin.

"Oh, so you do want something." I boasted, my pride getting the better of me. I had the right to; I mean come on! I just predicted everything that would and did happen! Who called it?! I CALLED IT! So being proud was to be expected. Give a guy a little credit.

Like the last time I questioned her, she didn't answer but that wasn't going to falter my mood. So HA!

"If you got something to say, you better spit it out...or else next time you bother us- I'll just ignore you." I lightly threatened but it probably wasn't very convincing because of the high light, cocky tone and me ginning the entire time. Hey don't judge, I was holding myself back from laughing out loud how awesome I am.

Was I letting it go to my head?...maybe a little.

I shifted my weight and leaned on my foot as my grin vanished. Everyone probably thought that I was going to turn and leave at that second because the hag flinched, Butch and Boomer turned in my direction, ready to walk away. Every day you learn something new, I never really thought that was true, just a hunk of baloney, but in this case it kinda fits my situation. Why? Because I'm about learn something interesting, I found out I'm a little sadistic, that manipulating is fun, and it turns out that I love to shock people.

How did I find this out?

When I just stood there waiting for her reply, ignoring my brothers questioning calls. The air got noticeably heavier, thicker and I had to retrain myself from shivering in delight at the scene I was making. I could feel my brothers faint worry because I usually didn't act like this. It was true, I can't recall acting like this before. Maybe it was because there was never a chance to... The feeling was foreign, so foreign that I couldn't decide how I felt about it. They only thing I could tell was that I loved their shocked and perplexed faces, it was gold!

"So...are you going to tell me?"

She averted her gaze to look at the ground. Then looked back up, making her decision.

"Look, I don't know what's considered normal here of even how this city works but I know that the fight you guys where talking about earlier..."

She made a dramatic pause, as if to collect her thoughts. While she was did that, I just stared at her with disbelief.

She had been listening us that entire time?! Stalker much?!... wait a minuet... HOW LONG HAS SHE BEEN FOLLOWING US!? Weather she saw my now shocked face, that practically had are-you-serious written all over it, or not I couldn't tell. If she did she was probably ignoring me because she continued.

"How ever these fights in this city usually go, I can guarantee that this one will be different then all the others." She explained as she placed a had over her heart, as if unconsciously promising what she said. Ugh, too dramatic for my taste but I rolled with it. Crossing my arms over my chest, I looked directly, where I guessed her eyes lay, behind her shades. I stared her down, testing her. After a moment of silence, I spoke agian.

"So why are you telling me this?" I questioned, my tone heavy.

It was the truth though, why was she? I waited, wanting to see how she'd reply. Everyone knew that even though it came out as a question, it was really a command. She had to tell me, for she knew that she was oblige to.

"I need you to take me there."

"What do we get." Instead of questioning it, I just stated them. There was no point in taking her if we get nothing out of it.

"Entertainment, you said you were bored right?"

"Oh really? But as I recall, we were on our way to the arcade." I stated as quirking a brow, my reply befuddling her. It was obvious that I was getting bored. The only reason why I'm still even here conversing with her is because I want to know how she was able to hurt Butch. By the look on her face, she didn't know how to reply. So I helped her continue.

I'm not doing this because I want help you hag. Oh no, I'm doing it for a more selfish reason~

"Even if we did show you the way, how would the battle be different from all the others?" I taunted and inwardly I smirked.

- and that's to figure out why you want to see the battle so badly.

"Because in this battle, the out come will be different from what your all used to!" She shouted, her anxiety getting the better of her.

This stunned me. I turned my head to the side to look at my brothers reactions and saw that theirs could relate with mine. Boomer's eyes where wide in shock, his brows disappeared behind his bangs. Butch's eyes constricted, his lips parted, and his brows furrowed with disbelief. By the way they stood, it was easy to say that they had stepped back in shock. I didn't blame them because I was still trying to process it.

A different outcome?...but then, that would mean-

My eyes widened with the realization. A bead of sweat rolled down the side of my head.

That the Powerpuff girls...will lose.

_(*≧ω≦)ノ_Third POV. _ \(≧∀≦)_

_.:|_ Still with Brick _|:._

The thought of the city's unbeatable heroines losing a battle was unimaginable.

Sure he knew one day that they would be defeated one day. Heck, he even day dreams about it but he thought it would be by the hands of him and his brothers. Them!-not some random monster! He was torn from either overjoying at the thought of watching them being pound into the ground or from yelling out in fury at the thought of someone taking away his and his brothers goal, their mission in life! From his reaction it was pretty clear that the latter choice was the one he was leaning toward.

He looked up to meet the gaze of the taller lady. With eyes glazed with disbelief and shimmered faint rage, Brick took in her facial expression trying to detect any sign of dishonesty, and that was hard to do because of her shades. She had to be lying to him. There was- is no other answer.

She's lying...besides, she doesn't even know where the fight is, so how could she say that the outcome would be different? I bet she didn't even know what the Powerpuff girls names are. In fact, I bet she doesn't even know who the PPGZ are! He thought, using reason to overcome his doubt.

You could say he was in a state of disbelief, because in a flash his face changed from disbelief to one filled with mirth. Actually he made a pretty ugly face. His eyes were still wide open, irises constricted to beads, his grin was in a 'u' shape, and his brows curved upward. It practically screamed, 'are you kidding me?!'.

Boomer and Butch were both worried and kinda weirded out by that look their brother made. They exchanged nervous glances at each other and started a silent conversation. Boomer looked wide eyed at Butch, gave a quick glance and head jerk in Brick's direction, before he looked back at Butch. In other words, he had technically said.

'Do something!'.

Butch's eyes widen before he waved his hands defensively in front of him.

'No way! You do it!' Butch ended, pointing at Boomer. In response, Boomer gaped as he quirked his brow.

'You kidding!? You see him right?' Boomer finished jerking his thumb in the red-head direction before giving his a quick nervous glace. Butch nodded with understanding.

'Yes, that's why you do it!' Butch gestured, flicking his finger at Boomer. At that, Boomer glared at the green ruff before pointing to himself then to Butch.

'I asked you first! So you do it!' Boomer finished by flicking both his hands at Butch. Butch felt a vain pulse on his head as he glared at his blue eyed brother. Before they could continue their non-vocal argument, they heard a hearty laugh. The green and blue sibling turned to the source but soon regretted it. There Brick was eyes filled with humorous tears, doubled over, his arm latched to his stomach, and that idiotic grin on his face.

He's lost it... The two thought simultaneously.

There was something up with there brother but, in a strange way, they couldn't blame him for acting like this. He was the one who had been striving them to think of a way to become the best monsters or always saying 'We'll beat those hags one day!'. They wouldn't admit it but...it kinda hurt to see their bro like this. So you wouldn't believe their relief when Brick stopped laughing and, more importantly, stopped making that creepy face. They both sighed with relief before waiting to watch what their brother would do next. Brick wiped his eyes and stood back up, placing a hand on his lower back.

"I don't know who you are lady but if your not from around here, then you wouldn't know the people who are fighting. So you wouldn't know who would win." Brick boasted as he pointed a finger at her.

He was just stating facts and that's all he had intended on doing. However, to others it would seem as if he was defending- no, that he had confidence in the PPGZ prowess. He himself may not know it but he unintentionally implied it. Boomer and Butch understood his reasoning but they were torn from either having him clarify it or just knocking him out and taking him to the hospital. Too torn, they just decided to keep quite. The white haired lady looked at Brick, for he spoke truthfully.

"I may not be from around here and it's true I don't know who's fighting but the outcome will be different." She replied. Her voice stern near the ending, her persistence shinning through her actions.

Now Brick was really curious. Was what she said true? Would it happened?

The only way to figure that out was to go to the fight and see for themselves. He shouldn't decide for himself that they should just drop everything and go. No, he had promised Butch and Boomer that they would go to the arcade. So it was only fair that he asked for their opinions.

"What do you guys think?" He asked as he turned his head in their direction, giving them his full attention.

"I asked that earlier, so it honestly doesn't matter to me." Butch shrugged as he stuffed his hands into his pocket. Boomer thought for a second then looked at Butch and Brick with a smile.

"Let's go, but I say she should give us something in return!" He cheered as his grin turned into a mischievous smirk, one that infected Butch and Brick. All three boys looked to the older lady with the same look.

"Actually, I change my mind. I say we go as well." Butch sneered, voting for Boomer's idea. He was actually calling this pay back for the granny pinch that she gave him. Brick turned back around to face the white haired hag, secretly glad that his brothers agreed to go.

"Alright lady, you heard them. We'll take you." Brick smirked. He'll try figure out the secret on how she was able to hurt Butch, along the way.

"Okay le-" She started but Brick cut her off.

" If ~ you give us your wallet." Brick grinned as he held out out his hand.

The goth styled teen gaped at the request, her sunglasses almost fell due to her shock. However, she had no right to complain. If she wanted go to the fight then she had to comply. Grumpily, she shoved her hands into her jacket and pulled out her wallet before she tossed it to Brick. Snickering, the red ruff snatched the black wallet out of the air before looking inside. After checking it's contents, he gave a nod of satisfaction before tossing it to Butch.

When the green ruff stuffed it in his pocket, the three ruffs walked in the direction the fight was at as the lady trailed behind. As they walked, the lady threw a curious glance in Butch's direction. She was going to ask what their names where but instead she said-

"Are you a girl... or a boy?" She asked out of pure curiosity. That was the last straw. Hearing that Brick and Boomer burst out in laughter. With a vain pulsing on his head, Butch turned around to glare at her, his face flushed with anger.

"I'M A BOY YOU STUPID WHITE HAIRED WITCH!" Butch yelled, thoroughly and utterly pissed.

First she almost ripped off his cheek and now she questions his gender?! Did this lady have a bone to pick with him or something?! Because if she did, then he would chuck her stupid wallet back at her stupid face, forget watching a fight, and start one right there! The lady snapped on the inside.

Witch? First they call her a hag...and now, a witch?

Shit just got real!

"WITCH!? Oh hell no! At least I look my gender!" She shouted looking down at the shorter teen. Her hand balled up and trembling in front of her face, restraining herself from hitting him.

"What are you talking about?! I look like a boy, you blind eyed hag!" Butch yelled flailing his arms at his clothes.

"I have 20-20 vision!" She pointed out as she jerked a thumb at her chest.

"Apparently you don't if you can't tell that I'm clearly a dude!"

"And who told you that you do!? Your pony-tail!?" As if to prove her point she lifted her hand and started to flick at the tied article.

At this moment, Brick and Boomer were an inch from dying of laughter, both leaning on one another as they fought for air. Butch slapped the hand away from his hair. He had been trying to ignore the itch in his hands that desperately wanted to chuck her wallet back at her face. After hearing the hair comment, his hand was already in his pocket. He raised a fist in her direction and shouted.

"You looking for a fight?!"

"Actually you were supposed to leading me to it but your doing a really bad job at it!"

"That's it!" Butch brought out the wallet and got ready to chuck it at her face.

"Bring it on Pony-tail!" She yelled as she bent her hands in her direction, taunting the green ruff. Momentarily forgetting her mission. Butch swung his arm back, about to chuck the wallet at her, when-

GaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaRUooooooooooooooooohhhhhh~!

The blast made Butch pause his actions in mid swing. Everyone looked in the direction the noise came from. It was loud but if it was that loud if they where that far away, then did they really want to go where the sound was louder? Apparently they did because the second it stopped they made a mad dash in the said direction. Before they knew it the pace was surrounded in a strange fog. As they neared their detonation, another roar blazed through the air. The higher and not to mention louder, roar forced the three ruffs to cover their ears in pain.

Brick cracked his eyes to see his brothers writhing in pain. There was a gnawing at the back of his mind that was telling him the he was forgetting something. He looked around, wondering what it was that he had forgotten. Then it hit him.

Where was the hag?

Looking around, he found her. There she was! Blocks ahead of them he adds! Running ahead completely fine as if the volume of the noise didn't even bother her! If he and his brothers couldn't even deal with the noise, then there was no chance that a human could! Before she turned a corner and out of his sight, Brick noticed something.

He could've thought about why she had left them, how was she able to run undisturbed by the noise, why was she so urgent to get to the fight or he could've just cursed at her in his mind! But no! Instead the last thought he had when she turned the corner was-

Why is she wearing such a thick jacket during the Summer time?

_(*≧ω≦)ノ_Third POV. _ \(≧∀≦)_
*Present time*

_,;|-ლ Now with Momoko ლ-|;._

*RECAP From previous chapter:*
Now ,thanks to the noise, all of the officers and Blossom were left defenseless.
The windows from the buildings above shattered and quickly descended to the ground like glimmering, deadly rain.
Growing closer and closer to the helpless humans below.
*END OF RECAP*

At the sight of the shards, Blossom immediately summoned her yo-yo, threw it at the group, before giving it a hard yank. In one swoop, over half of the police officers were swept to the side, into safety. The loud and high pitched noise rang out once again and stopped Blossom from retracting her weapon. Falling to her knee's, the young hero was forced to cover her ears unable to with stand the noise any longer. She faintly sensed the sensation warm of liquid dribbling onto her palms.

Could you yell a little louder?! My head's still intact! Blossom thought as she glared at nothing.

She winced in pain, her head hurt like hell. Swearing that not only could she feel, but also she hear the blood pounding in her ears. She'd kill to have some pain killers right now. With what strength left in her legs, Blossom struggled to stand on her legs, only to fall back on her ass.

The fall made her world blur, causing a greater wave of pain on her head. If she had the strength to complain about the pain in her head and her stinging butt, she would have. A shimmer over head caught her eye. Looking up, she saw more shards break free from their sills before starting their plummet towards the ground.

Again she tried to stand but another wave of pain pierced her brain, and once more she fell to the will of gravity. Stupid legs! WORK! She couldn't give up, not yet, not ever, not when these people needed her! Grimacing through her pain, she willed herself to stand.

How many people are left?

She counted twenty-seven people left, several crumbled on their knees, more writhed on the ground, and a couple managed to stay on their feet. Even though using the yo-yo would've been quicker for her to save the group, she was unable because, now, the young teen was handicapped due to her sensitive hearing. Instinctively knowing if she removed her hands from her ears, even in her super hero form, even with the chemical z in her blood, she would become permanently deaf in both of her forms. She was already surprised that she hadn't already crushed her own skull with her super strength.

Too weak to fly, Blossom dashed to each officer and kicked them into safety. After kicking them, she never looked back because she had gone on to the next officer. Though for what her eyes had lacked, her ears made up for. So, even when they where still covered, even when there was so much noise, she could still hear them. With every single one of them, Blossom could hear the distinct CRACK!, the sound of breaking bones, as her foot collided with their weak forms and that distant thump, signaling their landing, in the distance.

Her heart twitched with guilt. She would have to apologize for their broken bones later but right now she had more important priorities at the time being- and that being their lives.

Ten-

It was a battle between her and time.

That was the number of people left,

The descending shards fell all too quickly-

The number of people still in harms way,

-and unfortunately, Blossom just wasn't fast enough.

The number of people that she was forced to watch suffer,

The shards attacked from all sides mercilessly slashing, smashing and piercing bodies.

Right before they disappeared right in front of her eyes.

More shards fell and, like a curtain, those same shards hid the battered bodies that she tried to save. Screams. Just like before, she could hear their pain over the noise. What should she do? She was almost never without her team, so it always felt like a breeze when she was with them, but now she was alone. She always bickered with Kaoru either proclaiming that she was capable of leading or that she could accomplish missions by herself, her alone. Now that she was alone, she wished that she could take it all back because she wanted them here, she needed them. She didn't want these people to get hurt for her failure.

Unfortunately they weren't there.

That was like a slap in the face...a wake up slap that is.

She was alone, so what? People were waiting for her to save them and here she is, the "hero", wishing for her friends to magically appear and save her. To say that she's being pathetic was saying that the sky is blue. That was that.

Come on Blossom, YOU_CAN_DO THIS! What would the team say if they saw you like this!?

Her mind conjured up an image of a Buttercup and Bubbles. The blue puff's soft expression was one of sorrow, disappointment and Momoko hated that look from her. But what really ticked her off was the Buttercup apperision; that smug look on her face practically screamed 'I told you so!'.

LIKE HELL KAORU!

With fierce resolve, Blossom ran in a direction where she had seen, just before the shards fell, a body lying on the ground. Blossom's eyes narrowed as she pushed her self to go faster, every second counted, and failure wasn't an option.

The shards pelted on the driven heroine's skin before shattering on contact. Defensive instinct compelled Blossom to squint in order to prevent the slivers from getting into her eyes.

There! She could see it! A balled figure crouched on the ground covered it's head and ears with it's hands. With urgent haste, Blossom ran to shield the figure from the falling shards with her body, all while she covered her ears. Now that she was up close, Blossom could see the damage the middle aged woman had- her cut, bleeding face was constricted in pain, hands clamped over her head and ears, her police uniform was shredded, shards pierced out of random spots of her body, blood darkened parts of her uniform, and tears ran-non stop down her her trembling face. All Blossom could do was stare helplessly. She was unable to carry, let alone fly, the poor woman away to safety due to her already occupied hands. Even if she did carry the lady out then not only would she had risked herself becoming deaf but she would be unable to save the other nin-

Then it hit her.

There were nine other people out there in the same, if not worse condition than the woman below her.

That realization shattered her previous, fierce, unwavering resolve into nothing but smithereens.

It crushed her-

Sending her into desperate panic.

What am I going to do? What do I do? She thought as her eyes burned with failure and her lips quivered at her own helplessness.

There it was again, that feeling of being helpless. Without doubt, Blossom knew that this incident has not only changed this woman's life but also the other officers and their loved ones lives forever. That fact turned her cold sorrow into burning rage. She could feel it, her blood, her emotions come to a boil. The air felt cold to her flushed skin. Gritting her teeth, Blossom shut her eyes not only in anger, but she could not bear to see the woman who's life was in peril.

Silently she cursed at the world, cursed at herself, at the noise, at the monster who made the noise, at the monster who was still making the noise, but most of all she cursed the falling broken glass and the glass that were still breaking.

If only these stupid shards would stop!

Then there was silence, signaling that the glass stopped falling.

Momoko opened her eyes and looked up.

Her eyes widen in shock at what she saw.

_ლ_ლMomoko's POVლ_ლ

I couldn't believe it.

Above the thick gray fog near the ground, the blue sky shone with brilliance from a shimmering-dust-like substance. The sky resembled crystal clear, sparkling water from a grand lake. It was an enchanting sight to see and I was spell bound at the view...for a second. My awe and wounder turned into horror when I saw that the big shards from higher above descend in monstrous sizes. But the size of them wasn't what sacred me, it was what happened to them as they fell.

A whole window, probably the size of my entire bedroom, fell from it's window perch and fell but as it fell it suddenly shattered. When the smaller shards fell, they turned into the shimmering dust that I had at gaped earlier.

My eyes were wide with realization, it was glass dust.

The danger was still not over.

I knew that the civilians couldn't breath those in nor should they get them in their eyes. The single and the only good thing that has happened during this ordeal was that the noise had finally stopped. For whatever reason I didn't know, but I made sure to use it to my advantage. Taking my hands off of my ears, I quickly picked up the officer at my feet and ran for the other officers. I was so intent on getting all of the officers that I didn't even realize that I was flying until I noticed that that my legs stopped moving ...and the fact I just dodged a bird.

Another surprise was that I had somehow managed to create a net out of my yo-yo's string and was currently carrying everyone in the make-shift net, a good five feet above ground. I flew as quickly and as carefully as I could without causing too much strain for my passengers.

Strange. I don't remember putting them in there...nor when I made the net. I just brushed it off as nothing important, besides people forget things all the time.

They couldn't breath in any of the dust or they would hurt systems. But if- no. I knew, if they stayed down here they would still breath in the dust particles. Stupid gravity. Time must have past by but the question is- how much? I was panicked about everything that a second felt like eternity to me. So what right do I have to claim that staying near the ground would be safer for them to breath? Honestly, I don't. If anything, they could be breathing it in right now.

With thought, I steeled myself. My new goal clear as day- to get the hell out of this god-damn fog and into cleaner air. Looking down, I opened my mouth to shout something to the officers in my make-shift net but instantly closed it, my stomach wrenching at the sight.

My mind couldn't grasp it, my eyes couldn't decipher it... but it looked like a clump of limbs all jumbled up together, they didn't even look human anymore, let alone individual people. Blood, so much blood. The blood almost entirely covered them, making it hard to decipher one person from another. The bodies on the inside the net were awkwardly bent while their hands, legs, arms (and even a head) stuck out from the net; if it wasn't so grotesque looking, just I might've laughed. If it wasn't for the occasional pain-filled moans they made or the twitching of their limbs, I would've thought they were all dead.

They're all bloody, so...bloody. Where they... Where they really that hurt?

Guilt clenched at my heart as a regretful horror washed over body.

Of course their hurt!

I was so disgusted at myself that my skin started to crawl, uncomfortable in my own skin. Then something happened as I turned away from the bleeding bodies. What though, I wasn't sure. Even though it seen from the corner of my and even if it was for a split second, the image was vivid. I couldn't comprehend what had just happened but I knew that it wasn't the right time or place to dwell on it.

Once again I opened my mouth to warn them but this time I didn't spare them a glance. If I dare to look again, I'd either throw up or faint at the sight, and that would be bad for both parties.

"Close your mouths and eyes and don't breath in until I say! All right?!" I screamed flying upwards, my hair fluttering behind me.

Not all of them answered, for their reasons I could guess. I felt bad for them because not only were they in pain but they were mushed against one another. Due to my sensitive hearing, I was able to hear officers groan in pain. I felt my stomach clench in regret.

Yep, definitely need to apologize later.

After flying out of the fog I told my passengers that it was safe to breath. It was much easier to see up here than it was down there with all that smoke. As I flew, I saw a temporary fenced yellow gate that was stationed a couple of yards away from the smoke. On the other side of the fence, were a couple of waiting ambulances and paramedics. Flying down, I carefully set the net down before handing the group of injured men and women over to a medical crew. In seconds they swarmed them like moths to light before carrying them into their temporary tent. The more serious patients were carried to the ambulances where they would to be taken to the hospital.

I glanced at the temporary tent. All of the medics hastily worked, their eyes hard with concentration, either applying pressure to stop the bleeding or steadily removing the shards from the flesh with tweezers. Even the medics who were wrapping other police officers, the ones that I had kicked before the shards fell, worked with such concentration before moving on to aid with the shard removal. They're working so hard... With a prayer for their well being in mind, I took off in the direction of the smoke.

After all, I still had a job to do.

Soaring high above the smoke I examined the battle field, searching for my opponent who had yet revealed itself. I could hear something, that sounded like someone was whispering. I couldn't tell where it was coming from or it's source. The noise lost my attention when I saw a shift of smoke and the crunching of metal. I turned and saw the large silhouette of some creature. Then I was gone in flash of light, nearing the ground like a missile. I landed with a loud thump and the abruptness of my landing caused the smoke around me to disperse, like a ringleader at center, ready for the performance.

Now, for the entertainment itself... that was another thing.

My head shifted side to side but all I saw was smoke, smoke all around. Sure that I had landed in the right spot, took a couple of steps forward, the whispering getting louder as I ventured at the edge of the smoke. Where is it?

FooooBAM!

Before I knew what happened, my face met the side of a building.

.Chapter 3.
~The battle and... the save?~

Okay, Okay. You're all mad.

This chapter was actually longer but... I decided to make it cut it in half so you guys could read it. Don't worry the next half is in the next chapter. I just didn't want you guys to complain how long the chapters are(which was what you guys did in the draft version of this story). I kinda don't get it though, people will read a three thousand word (short) chapters of a story with like- what 50 chapters?(BTW I've seen longer stories with more chapters!)

Any way, why I haven't updated is because-

1.
I told you all that I had moved right? But did I mention I moved in the middle of the school year? Well I continued school but I was home schooled(for the first time in my life) for the rest of the school year. So I went to high school here, I found out that the credits from CA didn't transfer right over here. That means I have to take 3 classes online to make up for the ones that I didn't take when home schooled, because for some reason the stuff I learned didn't count. Not only that, I HAVE TO TAKE SPANISH 2 AND WORLD HISTORY AGAIN! *cries*

2
I'm trying to draw stuff for my Deviantart account/finish promises I made on DA. Such as a mini comic for the reds, one for the blues, and a continueation for the green one. I also have to finish the other pics that I have on there.

3
Homework and projects. It's like the teachers planned to give us alot of homework the same time another teacher(s) gives us project(s). Not just projects, but group projects! Don't even get me started on those bench marks, and some-fancy-initail-government-test-name-that-I-can't-remeber. I FREAK OUT AND MY BRAIN DIES! No, don't get me wrong, I'm a straight A student (excptforthecreditrecoveryclass) and I'm on the honor roll(barelymanagedtopassintoit, duetooneC). I help and tutor people(not2boastjustexplainingselfsoIdon'tseemlikeandidiot-whichIam) but I panic/get sick/pass out/fall asleep during the important tests!

I am a human...TnT. I try though.

Review if you love me!*gets shot at*
*barely misses* Actually! I mean- no I don't. Just review please! :) *gun pointed at my face* *I panic*

Review and I'll try to put up the next chapter before next Monday! *bang*
