Hey guys! Holidays are almost here!

But I might not be able to update, I'm having an operation so I'll be very sore.

Percy's POV

There was only one problem with Thalia's idea; Annabeth didn't have any of her personal belongings on my ship. They were all at her family estate, and I definitely didn't have any of Luke's stuff.

"We could just sneak in. Nico could use his power, grab something and go." Grover suggested, but Calypso shook her head.

"No," She said. "It has to be something she deeply values, something that means a lot to her. Like a heirloom or something."

"And we can't know that without Annabeth." Reyna concluded.

"Well, Luke doesn't have any values, so that leaves only one option." I said.

Jason frowned, like he knew where this was going and didn't like it one bit. "And that is...?"

I grinned. "I finally get to meet her parents."

Jason, Grover, Reyna and I hid near the front gates of the Chase family estate. Two guards stood on either side of the massive gateway, but they both looked half asleep; I'm sure not many people try to break in through the front door, even if it was almost nine o'clock at night.

"I don't know about this," Reyna whispered. "You saw how they were looking at you in the square, Athena and Frederick hate you."

"She's right Percy. This is a death wish." Jason agreed.

I turned to look at them. "I know, but we have to. And if it comes to it, then it's you three I'd want be my side in a fight."

Reyna sighed. "Fine, lets just get this over with."

"Knock out the guards?" Grover waited for the order.

I nodded, and we sprang from the bushes.

The four of us were upon them before they could even look up, and within seconds they were crumpled on the floor.

The manor lights were still on, which was a good indication that Mr and Mrs Chase were still awake. Slipping through the gate silently, we crept to the front door.

We sneaked through the house to what was hopefully a sitting room, where Annabeth's family would be at this time of day.

"What now? We just barge in there?" Jason questioned.

I rolled my eyes and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" A male voice called from inside. There was a quiet whisper and the sound of footsteps coming towards the door.

Swords in their sheaths, the four of us help up our hands as a boy of about thirteen opened the door.

His eyes scanned my face, then widened in terror as he moved to slam the door shut, but Reyna stuck her foot in the gap.

Grover shouldered the door open as Annabeth's little brother scrambled back. Mr Chase was on his feet immediately, already called for the guards.

"Wait!" I said.

Miraculously, Frederick did.

Athena was by her husband's side. "You filthy rat! What have you done with my daughter!?"

"Please, Mrs Chase," I said calmly, hands still in the air, as I took a step forward. "I promise I never meant for Annabeth to be hurt. That was never my intentions."

"Don't even try the innocent act on me, pirate." Fred snarled.

"I'm not lying, just ask Athena. You know I'm not lying."

Her lips were pursed, but her eyes revealed what she didn't dare put into words.

"Luke has your daughter, Mr Chase," Reyna said, stepping beside me. "But we have a plan to get her back. We just need your help."

Athena and Frederick shared a look, then Frederick took a glance at his twin sons. "Even if you weren't lying, we can't help you. Its against the law."

"Does that really matter to you more than your daughter. We went through the risk of arrest and a hanging to rescue Annabeth, and all you need to do is give us something that means a lot to her." Jason demanded.

That made them all frown.

"Please, I'm begging you," I said.

One of Annabeth's brothers stared at us, his grey eyes wide. He had an uncanny resemblance to his father, like his brother, all dark hair and sharp facial features.

"Mr Chase, Luke is a monster, we don't have much time." Grover hurried.

Athena hesitantly took a step forward. "Know that this is only to save my daughter," She said as she left the room.

In the awkward silence during Athena's absence, Frederick glared at me furiously from across the room. I stared back, hoping he would break away first.

He did. Noblemen never held the gaze of a pirate.

Mrs Chase came back after five minutes, holding something close to her chest. My friends started moving to the door as Athena came to meet me in the middle.

Her lips pressed together, Athena reached her hand out to give me the item. It was a locket, made of silver and engraved with a beautiful flowery pattern on it.

Looking around the room at the portraits on the walls, I noticed that Annabeth was wearing the locket in almost every picture.

"Thank you," I said, curling my fingers around the jewellery.

Before I could step away, Athena lashed out and grabbed my hand.

She leaned forward and whispered in my ear, "If you letanything happen to my daughter, I swear to all the gods I will find you."

"You don't have to worry about that Athena, I could never live with myself if Annabeth were hurt."

Her steely eyes hardened. "You love her."

I pulled my hand from hers and walked after Jason, who was waiting at the door. As I turned to close the door, I looked back at Athena and gave her a little, mocking bow.

I saw her eyes flash murderously before the door shut and we bolted back to the front gate.
