Transformers: Ark of the Primes

The Autobots must defend the Ark from the forces of the Decepticons! If the lost technology that lays dormant in the ark were to fall into the hands of the Decepticons it may mean the end for the Autobots.

My name is Alpha Trion and I am here to tell you a story. This story starts on the planet Cybertron. Perhaps you've heard of it before? Either way it is my duty to tell you a brief history of this planet before we begin our story. The first spark of life on this planet began with The Thirteen Primes created by Primus. Together they forged a society that reached the pinnacle of technological achievement. Though treachery came from within The Thirteen themselves and tore both them and their society apart. The war that followed threatened to erase all of Cybertron's history from the face of the Universe. So those who chose knowledge over the violence of war built the Ark in the hopes that if their history could not be preserved on Cybertron then perhaps it could be elsewhere.

Following The War of the Primes the once great society of Cybertron vanished and with it The Thirteen. Those who survived the war formed thirteen tribes, each based around the attributes of one of The Thirteen. The age of the tribes was one of turmoil and despair. Soon a new order arose with the aim to unite the people, The Functionists. Yet it was unity by division that the functionists brought upon the tribes of Cybertron. The functionists believed that one's worth was by their alternate mode. The Functionist believed that those who became beasts and tools were to be treated as such at the bottom of society. While those known as the Triple Changers were raised to height of society.

The Functionists led by their false Primes ruled with an iron fist. Any that the Functionists saw as opposition to their rule were taken and stripped of their individualism and made to be the unwilling servants of the Functionists. Though as all who wish to suppress the will of the people the Functionists rule was brought to an end. Two factions fought to bring an end to the Fuctionists; the Decepticons and the Autobots. The Decepticons would take down the Functionists by any means and in their actions caused the death of many innocents. The Autobots protected the innocent while leading an outright war against the Functionists. A war they eventually won.

In victory the Autobots; led by the hero that came to be known as Optimus Prime, established a new High Council to govern Cybertron and it's people. However; though the Council was open to all, the Decepticons claimed that the Autbots were no better than the Functionists and led by another false prime. The Decepticons had grown to be a cult of personality focused around their leader who had taken the name Megatron. Megatron had been granted new powers by Seeker Starscream. The Seekers were Transformers not of Cybertron who had the ability to fly and served a dark power. Starscream had gifted this ability to Megatron granting him a beast mode of a winged beast.

Soon the Decepticons and Autbots grew to become two opposing armies. However the Autobots war against the Functionists had taken it's toll and lead to the Autobots being pushed back from Cybertron and to one of it's moons, Iacon. The Autobots were able to buildup the moon's defenses and repeal attacks from the Decepticons. However unable to launch a counterattack on the Decepticons the war has become a stalemate. Though now a signal from the far reaches of space may be the Autobots beacon of hope or a sign of doom. The Ark calls to Cybertron and it's cache of lost technology may be the turning point in this locked war.
