When Mikey opened his eyes, he was relieved to find all three of his older brothers sitting around him, talking quietly to each other.

"H-Hey guys." He coughed, a grimace as he was helped up by Raph, and given some water to drink.

Feeling incredibly thirsty all of a sudden, Mikey started to gulp it down in huge mouthfuls.

"Easy, buddy. Slow down. The water ain't going anywhere." Raph told him, green eyes watching his face at every moment.

Come to think of it, all of his brothers were looking at him funnily.

"What is it, bros? Got something on my-my face?" He asked hoarsely, big blue eyes looking up at them.

"No, Mikey. You haven't got anything on your face." Donnie said, before his face shifted and a tear rolled down his face.

"Dude, wh-" He coughed, wincing. "What's wrong, Donnie?"

Donnie attempted to control the water dripping onto his cheeks, but failed.

Mikey spread open his arms wide, indicating to Donnie that he should give him a hug.

Donnie came in hesitantly, and hugged Mikey tight.

"I thought we were going to lose you there for a while, Mike. I really did. Don't do that again."

Mikey flashed a bright grin, charm officially turned on once again.

"Dude. Obviously. But I'm going to have some epic scars, won't I?"

Donnie chuckled.

"Maybe a couple."

Leo and Raph watched in amazement as Mikey said just the right things to snap Donnie out of the funk he'd been in. Mikey really could brighten someone's day by smiling.

I know it is super short, but I literally just got home from a 6 hour car ride back to NY. It was not fun. More and better tomorrow, I promise!
