Hey guys, really sorry for that false alarm, especially after what I did to you poor people in the last chapter :)

I'll still update as much as I can

hope you enjoy XD

Nico's POV

The earth trembled with so much power some of the pirates almost fell down the cliff.

I looked up at the mountain to see the entire thing falling apart.

We all watched in horror as the cavern collapsed. Percy and Annabeth were still in there!

Reyna gasped and covered her mouth. Jason's eyes widened in shock and Piper buried her face in his chest.

Suddenly the small vial in my pocket seemed to weigh a ton.

I hid out of sight from the rest of the crew, shadow-travelling into the collapsed cavern.

All around me was rock, no sign of Percy and Annabeth, or Luke.

"Percy! Annabeth!" I called, searching through the wreckage.

I heard a distant reply, muffled by sobs. "Help!"

"Annabeth?" I ran towards the voice. It was coming from under a pile of boulders.

She called back to me, and I pushed against the boulders with all my strength in the hope of moving them off Percy and Annabeth.

When they wouldn't move, I yelled in frustration. My powers over the earth kicked in and some of the larger rocks broke into a thousand pieces.

Annabeth and Percy were lying there, Annabeth alive and clutching Percy's broken form.

His legs seemed to be broken, and there was a giant gash on his temple. A direct hit to that spot can be instantly fatal, and Percy's usually tanned skin was deathly pale.

Tears streamed down Annabeth's dirty face. She stared up at me hopelessly.

"Please, Nico, tell me he's not-" Her voice broke off in a sob and she buried her face in Percy's neck.

I stared in shock at my cousin. How could he be dead? "I'm sorry, Annabeth."

She burst into tears, holding onto Percy. "No! Percy, don't leave me!"

I knelt down and put my hand on Annabeth's shoulder. "We need to get him out of here, I can help him."

Annabeth frowned. "How?"

I pulled the vial out of my pocket. "We need to give this to him and get him to Calypso."

Annabeth looked down down at the pirate in her arms. She wiped her eyes and propped Percy up on her shoulder so I could pour of the vial into his mouth.

I popped the cork off the bottle and gave Percy the drink, taking a deep breath.

"Come on, he needs to see Calypso." I said shakily, praying that the sorceress's plan would work.

Annabeth nodded, choking down a sob.

I knelt down and grabbed Percy's arm, pulling him onto my shoulder's.

Annabeth followed me out of what used to be the cavern, and we started down the cliff.

The pirate crews had recovered from their shock after the earthquake and were standing around in complete shock.

"Nico! Wher-" Reyna's voice dropped off.

The pirates turned to see us, and Thalia paled. "Oh my gods."

I moved forward, trying to push through the crowd of gawking pirates.

Teary-eyed, they let me and Annabeth through.

We hurried to the shore line and boarded the Princess Andromeda hurrying to Percy's cabin where Calypso was waiting.

She looked up as soon as we burst in, her eyes already puffy and red with tears, like she knew what had happened.

"Quickly, put him on the bed."

I carried Percy over and gently laid him down. His skin was stone cold, his black hair falling into his closed eyes.

I stepped away, standing next to Annabeth. Seeing my cousin like that, Annabeth broke down and turned to me, crying on my shoulder as I tried to give her as much comfort as I could. Reyna, Jason, Thalia and Grover had been allowed in, but everyone else was forced to wait outside in worry and despair.

Calypso went to work, muttering in an ancient language. I had no idea what she was saying but as I watched, Percy's skin began to slightly regain its colour.

The others gasped in amazement as Calypso worked her magic to help bring Percy back to life.

The colour started to completely return as the stuff we had given him became to make his blood run again. Calypso out her finger to his wrist, then rested her head on his still chest to hear his heart beat.

"It worked!" She exclaimed in delight. "Quick, we need to help him breathe."

Jason stepped forward and followed Calypso's instructions, thumping the heels of his hands on Percy's chest, like he'd done to Annabeth when she almost drowned after the sea serpent attack.

We all held our breath as he waited, until finally, Percy gave a great heaving cough.

His stomach started to rise with each breath.

"He'll be ok, though it might be a while before he wakes up." Calypso said with a relieved sigh.

Annabeth's heartbroken sobs turned to those of joy as she stepped forward and knelt at Percy's side, taking a tight hold of his hand.

The rest of us got the message that she wanted to be alone with him and went out to the deck to tell the rest of the crew the news.

As Jason, Reyna and Grover told the pirates, Thalia pulled me aside and glared accusingly.

"How did you know?" She demanded, her blue eyes flaring.

I gulped. "Know what?"

"Don't play stupid with me, you know he was in danger, why didn't you tell anyone?"

"He... He made me swear not to. He gave me this potion from Calypso and said not to tell anyone."

"So Calypso knew too?" Thalia's glare hardened even more. "Why didn't Percy want to tell us?"

I shrugged. " I guess he knew none of you would let him take the risk."

"A risk?!" Thalia said. "He died Nico!"

"I didn't know that was going to happen!"

Thalia took a deep breath to control her anger. "Ok, whatever. I'll have to talk with Percy about it when he wakes up."

I looked back to the cabin. "Do you think Luke's really dead?"

Thalia pursed her lips. "I hope so, there's really no way he could've survived. That was a pretty powerful earthquake."

Even though I knew she was probably right, something didn't feel right. After all he'd gone through to make Percy's life miserable, dying in a cavern collapse would've been too easy.

Not too happy about the ending, but oh well.

Thank the gods for my mums iPad! I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
