Epilogue

I took a deep breath and looked at my reflection in the mirror Piper had bought in. Just like when Luke had me prisoner, I stared at the gorgeous wedding dress, but now I couldn't keep the smile off my face.

I couldn't believe it, I was finally getting married, but this time it was my choice. And I was marrying the man of my dreams.

"Annabeth," Piper breathed in awe. "You look stunning."

The dress was simple; floor length, pristine white, with a beautiful pattern embroidered on the hem and neck line. Piper had braided my hair into an intricate bun. I was dying to see Percy, wondering how he looked in the suit he and his crew probably stole for the occasion.

It wasn't a proper ceremony, pirates like us would never be allowed in a church, nor would we risk it, but just hearing those two words from Percy would make it official to me.

My heart pounded in my chest as I turned to Piper and smiled. Gods, was I excited, but I couldn't help but by nervous.

Piper swept me up in a hug, careful not to ruin my hair. "Percy won't be able to keep his big mouth shut when he sees you!"

That drew a small laugh, he did make some pretty comical expressions when he was stunned.

We left the room, making our way to the deck where Percy and the rest of the crew would be waiting. I had made Piper my maid-of-honor, without having my father here to give me away. Honestly, my parents didn't need to know that this happening, they'd both have a heart attack.

Piper gave me an encouraging grin before she opened the hatch and climbed the stairs before me. I followed her, trying not to drip on my dress.

The deck of the Princess Andromeda had been decorated with white flowers from Ogygia, benches had been set up in rows for people to sit, Leo had made an arch that was woven through with beautiful flowered vines where Percy and I would stand during the ceremony, and Gwen and Katie (who had joined us a few weeks after Percy came back from the dead) had decided to throw petals in the water around the ship, surrounding us in a magnificent sea of white and light pink. A/N: like in Narnia, that sea of lilies, but less extravagant.

I beamed as I reached the last step and Piper took my hand, walking with me to the end of the aisle where my fiance waited.

Percy was decked out in a black suit, and seeing him wearing something so formal was beyond strange. Someone had finally managed to tame his wild black hair (kind of), it was like I was looking at another person. But his sea green eyes were the same, and his already adorable smile widened when he saw me walking towards him.

Piper took the hand she was holding and gave it to Percy, who squeezed it reassuringly. I looked up at him, hoping he could see just how much I loved him.

I stood beside him, side-by-side in front of Calypso, who had offered to run the ceremony.

Holding his hand, the vows went by in a blur, and it wasn't until the end that I was really paying attention, all I could think about was how perfect Percy looked in the fading sunset.

"Annabeth Chase, do you take Percy Jackson to be your husband?" Calypso said through her smile.

I nodded. "I do."

"And do you, Percy Jackson, take Annabeth Chase to be your wife?"

"I do," Percy smirked, and two words had never sounded so perfect to me.

There was a moment of silence before Calypso said the sentence I was waiting for. "You may now kiss the bride."

The crew behind us cheered, but everyone melted away as I threw my hands around Percy's neck, his lips colliding with mine when he stooped down.

He smelled like the sea, as always, and he had kissed me like this before, but it was different. None of our kisses had left me feeling like this. I had always felt like we were one person when we kissed, but now we really were joined together.

Percy was finally mine, and Luke wasn't here to ruin it. No one could ruin it for us now.

Percy had his hands on my face, starting to pull me closer.

"Alright, get a room you two!" Someone shouted from the audience, probably Thalia. I guess someone could ruin it.

I pulled back reluctantly, staring into Percy's swirling sea-green eyes. He was biting his lip in exasperation, and his obvious annoyance at whoever had destroyed the moment was so adorable that I couldn't help but laugh.

It had been a couple months since our wedding, and Calypso just told me that I was pregnant.

Percy and I were going to be parents.

I couldn't even put into words how excited I was, but I was also scared for my child. Growing up on a pirate ship wasn't going to be safe, my first week on the Princess Andromeda had proved that.

Still, with Luke gone, I had one less thing to worry about, and Percy was the one who took care of the pirating stuff. He'd asked me repeatedly if I wanted to leave, to go somewhere safer, even before we knew about the baby.

Just knowing that Percy only cared for our well-being made it easier to stay, but I knew I couldn't go back to the shore, go back to sitting around.

"When are you going to tell him?" Thalia asked him from her spot on the bed opposite the one I was sitting on.

We were all sitting in the girls' bunks, none of the guys knew yet.

"I don't know," I admitted. "I mean, how will he react to that?"

God knows Percy has been through a lot, but he was only 23, and still quite immature (in the best way possible).

There was a moment of silence as we all thought of his reaction.

"Well, he'll be mad if you don't tell him, so best to just get it over with." Piper said.

I nodded. "You're right. I mean, its not like he'll be angry or upset or anything."

Steeling my nerves, I climbed down from the bunk and went up to the deck. Seeing that he wasn't at the wheel, I felt a surge of relief. It would've been so awkward having to give Percy the news if front of the crew.

I opened the door to the captain's quarters, which we now shared. Percy was sitting at his desk, his feet kicked up on the wooden furniture, Riptide in his hands as he sharpened it with a whetstone.

He looked up when he heard me enter, and a smile split his lips. "Hey."

"Perce, I have something to tell you."

He stood up and walked around the desk towards, putting down the sword. Taking my hands, he asked, "What is it."

I clutched his hands tight, my stomach fluttering with butterflies. "I'm pregnant."

For a moment Percy was completely still, a dumbfounded expression on his face as he processed my words. Then, his face lit up with a bright smile and he grabbed my waist, spinning me in a circle.

"Oh my gods!" He pulled me into a warm embrace. "We're parents?"

I nodded, smiling.

"I can't believe it! Annabeth, that's fantastic!" He leaned down and kissed me on the lips.

Nine months later, and I held our beautiful baby daughter in my arms.

I had been in labor for more than six hours, and some of the boys had taken Percy to the deck when it became clear that he couldn't stand to watch. Now, I heard him come bolting down the stairs before he threw the door open with so much force it made Gwen and Katie jump.

Percy rushed to my side, staring in awe at his daughter.

Wide blue-green eyes looked back at him, and a wisp of blonde hair on her head. I was so glad she had Percy's eyes, I could never get enough of them.

Percy finally tore his gaze from our baby, beaming at me.

"What should we call her?" I asked.

He considered for a moment, and I knew he was stuck for ideas when he bit his lip. "Uh..."

You'd have thought that we would've discussed this.

"How about...Sophia." I said.

"I love it," Percy agreed with a broad smile, giving me a kiss.

Pulling away, I lay back against the pillow, hoping for some rest. I let Percy take Sophia from my arms, holding his daughter for the first time. I was so happy in that moment, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I had a wonderful husband and a beautiful baby girl, Luke was gone and I was free to do what I wanted.

I looked at Percy with a small smile on my face, before I closed my eyes and let sleep take me.

Percy and I would get a happy ending after all.

So, I'm not sure how I felt about the ending there *shrug* but we got Percabeth!
