Samus was polishing her helmet with a cloth while sitting on her bed.
Everything was back to normal now with Red not being such a kuudere and Pit smiling like how he used to. Yet, it still didn't feel right.
Sure the atmosphere wasn't as heavy anymore but the bullies never really stopped bothering Pit outside the mansion, at this point Samus might have to keep guard of Pit again along with telling Master Hand. Knowing how strong he is on how all Smashers are to be kept safe unless they want a giant angry fangirl mob after him if one of the characters got hurt he would probably ban the Smashers from going outside.
Samus sighed.
Never really an easy solution with fangirls these days.
Yes, there were the fanboys too, but they would probably have the same reaction depending on how their nostalgia trip went.
Another sigh.
*Knock, knock*
Samus puts her helmet on the desk and walks to the door and opens it to see Red... then closes.
Like brother like sister...! Red twitched.
Red opened the door but Samus closed it again.
"You know what! Screw it!" Red yelled as he didn't care if his hand got crushed again and opened it again.
A cloth was thrown at his face.
It slowly slid down to show Red cringing.
"Really?!"
"What do you want?" Samus crossed her arms while tapping her foot impatiently.
"I just came to discuss about things!"
"Uh-huh."
"Honestly, can we at least set our differences aside for no-"
"No."
Red twitched. He turned away, "Fine! I guess you don't want to help Pit-"
He felt a very strong grip on his shoulder and turned to see a glaring Samus.
"TELL."
"I was wondering something since I might have overheard stuff when I was going through that faze," Red said.
"Like what?" Samus asked as she was polishing her helmet again.
"Like when you were helping Pit patch up," Red said, then looked straight at her, "Why didn't you answer him?"
Samus stopped moving her hand in a circular motion.
Red waited but he knew she wouldn't answer and sighed, "Listen, I heard his question, but I have no clue what he was talking about. I asked him before about his past but that only resulted in him crying and us breaking down, so, can you please, just explain to me?"
"... Red..." Samus said as she continued polishing her helmet.
"Yeah?"
"No, I meant red as in the fluid red."
"'Fluid'?"
"I don't know how you're childhood went, but, mine were stained with the color red. Everyone I knew and loved when I was a child were stained in red. My mother, my father... Pit... Well, I guess you wouldn't understand..."
"Samus, when I was a toddler, my dad left me to go somewhere. Once the door closed my mom suddenly started crying and having a toddler's mind I was confused. I grew up, never daring to ask my mom where my dad went and not knowing where my dad is, even until now, heck, at least you know where your family is now."
Red sighed, "I don't know if he's dead, or how he died, and it has been so long that I don't even remember what he looks like. At least you remember what your parents look like and you knew what was going on."
"... I guess..."
"Now tell me-"
An ear piercing scream was heard echoing throughout the mansion.
"That scream..."
"Tch, if Peach can scream like that there's definitely something wrong!" Samus threw her helmet and cloth onto her bed and ran out her dorm along with Red.
