Crookedpaws POV:
Crookedpaw lay in his nest keeping his ears pricked so he could listen for the sound that would tell him that all his den mates were sleeping. In what seemed like forever he finally heard the last of his clan mates fall asleep. 'Finally,' he thought carefully getting to his paws. Making sure to not make a sound he slipped out of the apprentice den his ears pricked for any sounds. Hearing nothing he smiled but knew he would have to be careful about slipping out of camp. He crouched down sticking to the shadows and carefully watched the cat who was on guard duty.
The cat who was guarding the camp happened to be his mother Rainflower. 'She could care less about what happened to me,' he thought scornfully but he knew that he would still have to be careful. Narrowing his eyes he slunk towards the camp entrance when his mother went to check out a sound that she had heard. By the time he reached the camp entrance his mother hadn't returned from checking out the sound she had heard. 'Good, not that I think she would stop me she would probably just assume I'm running away again and tell the clan that,' he thought slipping out of the camp.
Once out of camp he looked around wondering if he should roll in something to disguise his scent. 'No I want Bluepaw to know I'm coming. I wonder if she is already there waiting for me,' he thought before heading towards the place the gathering was held. He made sure to walk slowly so that he could listen to the sounds around him. He paused when he thought he heard something and strained his hears letting out a sigh of relieve when he realized that it was just prey. 'Some bird,' he thought when caught the prey scent.
Flicking his ears back and forth he continued on towards four trees. He really hoped that he would be able to see Bluepaw. He wasn't sure why he asked her to meet him at fourtrees but he figured that him and Bluepaw could become good friends. 'I can be great friends with Bluepaw, I know it,' he thought as he continued walking at a somewhat brisk pace. When he saw Four Trees come in sight he quickened his pace until he was running. He headed down into Four Trees and looked around hoping to see the familiar pelt of Bluepaw. He was disappointed when he saw that he was the only one at Four Trees. 'She might have gotten held up I'll wait here at least until moonhigh," he thought.
When moonhigh came he still so no sigh of Bluepaw. 'I guess she isn't coming after all,' he thought sadly and got to his paws about ready to head on back to the RiverClan camp when he heard the undergrowth rustling. He paused and peered towards the Undergrowth hoping for it to be Bluepaw. When the undergrowth parted to finally reveal Bluepaw he let out a relieved sigh. "Bluepaw, you came," he meowed.
Bluepaws POV:
Bluepaw lay in the apprentice den thinking of Crookedpaw. She had spend most of the day battle training and for once she had acted like she actually cared if she became a warrior or not. Her mentor had even praised her on doing a good job working on the moves he had taught her. Of course they had trained with other apprentices and she had actually be friendly towards them instead of snapping at them. 'I guess my change in attitude is all thanks to Crookedpaw, I don't feel like I'm alone,' she thought knowing she had never actually been alone.
She was still thinking of her training session when she suddenly remembered that she had promised to meet Crookedpaw at Fourtrees. "Mousedung how could I forget," she thought sitting up quickly. She looked down at her sister who stirred moving closer to Thistlepaw in her sleep and she narrowed her eyes. 'I'll never see what my sister sees in that rude furball,' she thought scornfully before rising to her paws making sure she was careful since she didn't want to wake one of the other apprentices after all if she woke one of them that would start asking her questions.
She quietly slipped out of the apprentice den and glanced over her shoulder to see that all her den mates were still asleep. 'I guess I shouldn't have worried,' she thought rolling her eyes. With a quick shake of her head she turned her head towards the camp entrance and saw that it was Thrushpelt on duty. She frowned and was trying to decide if she should just take her chances going through the entrance or should just sneak out of the dirtplace when she noticed that Thrushpelt seemed to be sleeping. 'If I became a warrior I would never fall asleep while guarding camp,' she thought scornfully the tip of her tail twitching in irritation.
Making sure to be quiet she headed out of the camp entrance past the sleeping warrior. 'If I wasn't going to meet a cat from another clan I would wake him so that he wouldn't get in trouble,' she thought. She didn't really have much time to think about that though because once again she found herself thinking of Crookedpaw. 'He might already be at Fourtrees waiting for me,' she thought picking up her pace and broke into a run, running towards the gathering place.
Soon enough she saw Fourtrees come in sight and she slowed to a brisk pace opening her mouth to draw in the scents around her. She immediately caught the scent of Riverclan drifting towards her from Fourtrees and she smiled. 'I think Crookedpaw would make a great friend hopefully he won't be as annoying as some of my clan mates,' she thought as she came even closer to the four great oak trees. She had just come out of the undergrowth when she heard the voice of Crookedpaw. "Bluepaw you came," she heard him say.
Sorry it took me so long to update this I had writers block on it for the longest time.
