Hi guys, thanks for following. I'm trying to get everybody into these stories now that I'm back writing them. If you have anyone you wanna see, let me know. If you wanna beta read let me know? Still trying to follow this basic story I had but trying to keep things consistent now. We'll see how it goes.

It was dinner time in the great hall. Steve was sitting at the Hufflepuff table, talking to a second year. The young boy was still feeling a bit of an outsider and as Head Boy, Steve felt it was his responsibility to make him feel welcome. But the boy had been talking to him for 20 minutes and he was beginning to get a little overwhelmed.

Sam came over to his table, a few of his fellow Gryffindors threw him a look but by now, they were all used to his friendship with the Hufflepuff boy. Intimidated by Sam, the second year scuttled off to tell his friends of the close call he just had, though Sam really hadn't even looked at the boy. He sat down, taking a goblet full of hot chocolate. Somehow, the Hufflepuff table always seemed to have better hot chocolate than Gryffindor. He didn't think this was fair.

"So, I heard that the Hufflepuff common room was invaded?" He quirked a dark eyebrow at his blond friend. Steve's face remained neutral, which meant he was pissed about it.

"Yes. It was that Stark boy. It wasn't so much 'invaded' as coerced. I wanted to talk with the girl who let him in, but she and Stark have been hard to find."

"Want me to keep an eye out?"

"You don't have to. It's not your House's problem."

"You know I will though." And Steve did. It was why he like Sam so much. It was a shame they were in separate houses. Steve thought Sam would have made a brilliant Hufflepuff. He didn't care that Sam was Muggleborn. Plus, they wouldn't have to compete in Quidditch. Though, that did keep the game fun.

"You want to practice this afternoon?" Steve said, grinning now. No need to think about troublesome fifth years all the time.

Sam's face lit up and his smile made his face shine. "You know I do. I still owe you from last time."
