Chapter 3 – New Mission

Angelic: So sorry for the wait! I've had way too much coursework and GCSE's are drawing nearer... IM GOING TO FAIL! I KNOW IT!

Allen: Don't be so hard on yourself. :)

Lavi: Yeah! At least you'll fail with style!

Angelic: That's totally REASSURING ME RIGHT NOW.

AT THE BLACK ORDER

Komui was bored, so bored. He stifled a yawn as he balanced another stack of files precariously on his desk. He was really hoping that his adorable sister Lenalee would bring him some coffee soon. Komui sighed and pushed his rectangular glasses back up the bridge of his nose, this paperwork was taking a lot of time. Maybe he could build another Komurin…

"Nii-san! I hope you're not slacking!"

He turned to see Lenalee standing in the doorway, a tray of coffees clutched in her small hand. "Of course not my dear Lenalee!" cried Komui as he ran to glomp her. She quickly sidestepped, causing him to fall face first into another pile of paperwork.

"Nii-san if you don't get some work done soon I'll tell Kanda you ate his soba!"

Komui shuddered and crawled back to his desk, he certainly didn't want that to happen. Lenalee placed the mug of coffee on a bit of table that wasn't overrun by paper. She looked at the mountains of bills and receipts thoughtfully, before shrugging and heading for the door.

"Don't leave me alone Lenalee!" Cried Komui as waterfall tears sprung from his eyes. Lenalee looked over her shoulder and smiled. "I'll be back after I take these other coffees to the science department." Komui watched her go before shrinking in his seat. 'My Lenalee is so adorable.' He thought to himself as he reached for his mug.

CRASH

Komui spluttered in his boiling coffee and dropped it as Kanda burst through the door unexpectedly. After seeing who is was Komui quickly jumped away, hands in defensive. "I DIDN'T EAT YOUR SOBA!" He yelled nervously. Kanda twitched in annoyance. "That isn't why I'm here, Sister Complex." Komui calmed immediately, not taking note of Kanda's insult. "Then why did you suddenly break my door down? I am clearly working here." Kanda twitched again. "You haven't worked for months, but that also isn't why I'm here." Komui sat back down at his desk warily "If you wanted a coffee Lenalee just left." He then found Mugen pointed at his throat in an instant. "Stop interrupting me and listen dammit." Kanda said through gritted teeth. "Moyashi is gone." Komui looked mildly alarmed. "Allen is gone?" Kanda nodded in obvious annoyance, he was getting tired of these idiots. "Did you see it?" questioned Komui. Kanda sighed and explained. "I had just returned from a mission with the Baka Usagi…"

Flashback~

"Yu! Let's go get something to eat!" Said Lavi as he tugged on his companions arm. Kanda shook him off and walked away towards his room, needing some sleep and not in the mood to play games with a stupid rabbit. It was liking he asking to be murdered. His thoughts must have been clouded because he found himself in an unfamiliar corridor with no memory of how he had got there.

He then remembered this is where they were keeping the Moyashi, and he couldn't help but feel slight sympathy for the imprisoned boy. He wouldn't have liked to be locked in a cell for something that hadn't been proved, he was wondering how the moyashi was dealing with it all. As he stood outside the cell door decided whether to enter or not he suddenly sensed something was off. He couldn't feel anyone's presence beyond the door. Pushing it ajar just a fraction he peered in. What he saw shocked him speechless. The blood soaked bodies of Howard Link and an unknown exorcist lay still on the cold floor. Their last fleeting moments of horror still etched onto their faces.

The second thing Kanda noticed was that the Moyashi was no longer by the wall, the shackles that once held his wrists were shattered into small pieces. For a moment he stood there, before he came to his senses and dashed straight to the first place he could think of – Komui's office.

End of Flashback~

"And that's what happened." Kanda finished. "This is surprising. I've never heard you speak so much in one go, would you like me to capture the moment?" Questioned Komui, pulling out a small camera. It was sliced in half instantly. Sweat ran down his face. "What do you expect me to do about Allen?" He asked warily, pushing his glasses further up his nose in what he hoped was a confident action. "Anything!" Replied Kanda, frustrated. He couldn't believe Komui wasn't taking matter more seriously. "Levellier is bound to find out about this when Link doesn't come back." Said Komui. "He will probably give the order to kill Allen on sight." Kanda was in slight shock, Komui continued. "But I think the question is how did he escape?"

The two were interrupted by a crash that resounded from the door way. Lenalee had just dropped a tray of empty mugs, they smashed sending china across the floor. "Allen is missing?!" She asked in disbelief. Komui sighed, he didn't plan on Lenalee finding out about this. "How much did you hear?" He asked. "Everything I needed to hear." The female exorcist said loudly, a haughty expression across her pale face. "Nii-chan we must find him and bring him back!" Everyone was silent until the last person anyone expected to speak interrupted. "I think they intended to kill Moyashi anyway." Lenalee and Komui turned with unconvinced expressions to Kanda, who folded his arms. "What makes you think that?!" Lenalee exclaimed hotly. "Levellier put Allen in that cell to ensure the safety of the order!" Kanda could not believe everyone in this place was so damn stupid.

Komui was thinking deeply about how to resolve the situation. Levelliers assistant and an un-named exorcist were killed by something or someone unknown, Possibly even - "Maybe Allen killed them." He voiced his opinion to the other two, he got different expressions. " Kanda looked as though Komui had just slapped him, and Lenalee gasped "I bet that's what happened!" Kanda was just about ready to go knock some sense into both of them with the blunt end of mugen when a golden glint caught his eye amongst the many piles of paper. "Timcanpy?" He muttered in slight suprise. Lenalee and Komui unfortunately had also heard and their eyes too travelled over to the golem. "This is perfect!" Said Lenalee, snatching Timcanpy out of the air, he struggled in her tight grip.

"Now we can use Timcanpy to find Allen! Of course, Lavi can come too. You are coming with us, right Kanda?" Using emphasis on his name as she looked over expectedly, a small playing on her lips. Kanda frowned, "I don't really have much of a choice, do I?" His fate was confirmed as Lenalee shook her head almost too cheerfully. He huffed and stalked out of the office, dying to get away from the siblings. He was not really sure how he was supposed to feel at the moment. But what was certain was that he didn't like Lenalee's reaction to the news, what had happened to the friendship her and Allen had shared? Kanda shook his head to rid himself of those thoughts, He knew too well that worrying about the past was a fools error. At least whilst looking for the escaped exorcist he could make sure nobody from the order tries to pull anything funny.

"Moyashi..." He murmured as he reached his the door handle to his room. "Just... Don't do anything stupid."

"ATCHOO!"

"Allen- kun? Did you catch a cold?" Asked Road as she glanced sideways at said boy. "I don't think so... maybe someone is talking about me." He said warily and rubbed his nose slightly. "it wouldn't be the first time." Road looked at him with a smile. Not the creepy widened one she usually adorned, but a genuine smile. "It doesn't matter anymore." She said as he pulled him into her embrace. They sat like that for a while then pulled away. Road studied his face closely, The shock of white hair that clashed brilliantly with his now greyish skin. The small black crosses glinted slightly in the candlelight that were across his forehead, and those deep golden eyes she could almost lose herself in. Deciding she wanted to go somewhere. She pulled Allen up by the hand and snapped her fingers, causing one of her large pink checkered doors to rise slowly from the carpet. "Where are we going?" Allen asked with mild curiosity.

"Out." Was Road's simple answer.

- Time Skip -

The next morning was dawning on the Black Order. Lavi stretched as he walked through the corridors, they were bathed in early morning sunlight. He shivered slightly and pulled his red scarf further up his face. He found his companions waiting for him by the main door, both wrapped up in coats, hands shoved in their pockets and their breath showing from the harsh winter temperatures. Exchanging a nod with Lenalee and a look with Yuu the three started walking to the train they were to board. They were going to find Allen and bring him back whether he liked it or not.

Little did they know their mission was going to be trickier that they thought.

Lavi: Im glad I made an appearance in that chapter.

Tyki: Whatever. Get on with it.

Lavi: Oh right! On with the feedback! Okay... Tyki?

Tyki: *Huff* fine. *Opens envelope* The first one is from Devil'sAngel'sDeath.

It's interesting. Sooo when Allen turned into a Noah, will he kill someone? Oh, I'm waiting for the next one.

Yesss! Allen's with the Noah! Is Lenalee really dead or was it just a vision? Please, please let her die! I'm not such a big fan of hers. BTW greeeeaaaat story! I could just glomp you! *Glomps*

Tyki: Author says thanks for the glomp and she returns it, she also had a tiny grudge against Lenalee :) But Lenalee is not dead. Because when Allen started to turn into a Noah he lost conciousness so it was just a vision. Thanks for reviewing.
