I do NOT own D Gray Man.

Blurred.

Everything seemed blurred.

One glance and his world had stopped turning.

It was all hazy to him. He couldn't remember where he was, who was around him, he didn't even know if it was day or night.

He had seen Allen.

It was like he had been waiting for this moment for a millennium. Finally here, everything seemed slow.

Distorted.

Lavi and Lenalee seemed to be arguing. Why would they do that? Weren't they friends?

"What are you-"

He was cut off as Lavi delivered a strong slap to Lenalee's cheek. Close to tears he grabbed her shoulders and shouted to her.

Unheard words.

Words that Kanda didn't want to hear. They were not relevant to him, therefore held no purpose. He barely noticed Lenalee stalk away, clutching her reddening cheek in her hands. Lavi stared after her before turning to the swordsman. His jade eyes were spiked with fresh tears, he looked completely lost. Seeing his usually joyful companion suddenly like this jolted Kanda out of his trance.

"..."

The two stood in silence for a while.

"Kanda... What are we going to do? Is there any hope for Allen?"

No hope?

It hurt to think about Allen at the moment.

It hurt badly.

He then blinked in surprise, Lavi always called him by first name to annoy him. There definitely was something wrong.

"I... I'm not sure." Was his weak response. Lavi looked defeated before starting to walk down the road, Kanda followed subconsciously.

They had managed to find an inn before the sun had fully set. It was old and cramped but none of it really mattered to the two exorcists. The only thing on their mind was guilt.

Guilt that they had betrayed their own friend, and then anger. Did Lenalee not see the error of her ways?

"Kanda..." Began Lavi for the second time. "Hm?" replied the swordsman, whose head lifted from his hands. "I want to stop Lenalee, she's gone way too far with this." Kanda stood up slowly and walked over to the window to gaze out over the city. "I agree, I don't want Allen to be in danger." When Lavi didn't respond Kanda looked over his shoulder, revealing the redhead looking shocked. "What?" Questioned Kanda. "That's the first time you've called Allen by name..." Kanda stood stock still, not noticing a faint blush creep up his cheeks. "Kanda... Do you... like Allen?"

Eyes widening, he opened his mouth several times only to close it again.

Did he?

It's true that he'd been terribly worried for him when he had disappeared from his prison cell, and ever since their meeting he could think of nothing else but everything he could have done for Allen. And who wouldn't? He was the exorcist that everyone had heard about. That always protected his friends, that was always there for Kanda even though the same could not be said for him. Everything about the boy cause a fluttering in his heart that had been so cold for so long.

Kanda realised it in that moment.

He was in love with Allen.

Lenalee Lee huffed as she applied a plaster to her bruised cheek. Who did Lavi think he was? She clicked the first aid box shut and put it back in the cupboard of her room. "Curse these rooms." She muttered in annoyance as she stumbled around the small room, bashing her leg into a chair. A sharp pain flared up her thigh and she squeaked. Rubbing yet another injury she traipsed over to her bed to lay against the wall, drawing the covers up to her knees. Nothing was going how she wanted it to. She didn't like being alone. She wanted to be back in china with her brother. What would she give to turn back time and live there peacefully once again?

She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard voices through the wall.

"I want to stop Lenalee, She's gone way too far with this." Lenalee blinked in sudden recognition. How coincidental it was that Lavi and Kanda had rented the neighbouring room.

"I agree, I don't want Allen to be in danger."

Lenalee raised a single eyebrow in surprise, since when were Kanda and Allen on a first name basis? Could that possibly mean...

It couldn't... Could it?

...Was Kanda...

In contact with Allen?

Lenalee was on her feet in an instant, pulling herself away from the wall and blocking out the voices. She rushed to the door and knocked twice, then flattened herself against the wall beside it.

She would get her answers soon enough.

Lavi stared at Kanda in shock.

"Do you... Like Allen?"

He couldn't believe it.

Kanda didn't answer, he seemed to be thinking very thoroughly about something. Probably Allen.

There was then a knock at the door.

"I'll get it." Lavi murmured as he paced towards the door and opened it slowly.

"Yes, how can I help-"

There was no one in the corridor outside. Odd. Lavi furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Was someone playing a trick? He stuck his head out of the doorway to look left down the corridor and then-

THUMP

Kanda started suddenly and looked towards the doorway as Lavi fell to the floor unconscious. From the right hand side Lenalee walked into the room.

"You! What are you doing here?!" He said loudly. She snarled at him. "You're in contact with Allen aren't you, I just happened to have rented the next room along. Lucky huh?" Drawing Mugen Kanda stepped back cautiously. "Im not in contact with Allen." Lenalee rolled her eyes in sarcasm and activated her dark boots. "Dont play dumb Kanda! I know what I heard through the wall!" She ran at him swinging her legs into a flying kick, he ducked his head at the last moment, sending her into the brick wall behind him.

With no effort whatsoever it seemed she jumped back out and flew at him again, this time he dodged sideways and she burst into the hallway. Kanda could hear the distant screams and shouts of civilians trying to escape the building, which was shaking. Lenalee managed to pick herself up again. She limped towards him for a moment before falling down onto the floorboards, clutching her leg in anguish. "I must have sprained it back then." She muttered, recalling a while ago when she bashed into the chair. "No matter!" The girl shouted and crawled over to where Lavi was lying with a spike of wood clenched in her small hand. She seemed to have blasted apart the doorway in her anger and now there were large splinters of wood scattered on the floor. Kanda started towards her immediately.

"DONT!" Shrieked Lenalee, the sharp point of wood hovering over Lavi's heart. "DON'T TAKE ANOTHER STEP OR I SWEAR! I SWEAR I WILL DO IT!" Kanda froze in his tracks. This was far enough. "Stop, Lenalee." He muttered, his head bowed and a shadow crossing his features. "This isn't you."

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME?!" The girl mocked. "YOU KNOW NOTHING OF HOW I FEEL! DO YOU?!" Her hands shook and the point dropped lower towards Lavi's chest. Kanda had to stop her. "Do you know how Allen feels?" He asked solemnly. Lenalee blinked. "Allen?" Kanda nodded. "Allen feels betrayed, by all of us." He said as he took a step nearer to the girl. She seemed oddly quiet now.

"Allen feels betrayed? Heheheheheee." Lenalee giggled.

Kanda took another step.

"By me? Hehhhehehe."

A few more steps and he could reach her.

"DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE ABOUT THE ENEMIES FEELINGS?" She screamed, swing the spike downwards.

Blood splattered up into Kanda's face.

Time seemed to be frozen as He looked down at the spike jutting out of Lavi's side.

Luckily he had been close enough to hit the stake away from any vital organs.

The red liquid oozed into the carpet. Lavi was loosing way too much blood.

Blinded by rage, Kanda sliced wildly in Lenalee direction . He barely heard her scream as her arm was sliced away from her body and dropped to the floor. Clutching the stump of her arm she dragged herself away down the hallway and out of sight.

Kanda looked back to Lavi, who seemed to have woken due to pain. "Kanda.. ...Don't worry." He breathed before falling once again into darkness.

"Lavi?" Called Kanda to his companion. "Lavi can you hear me?! LAVI!" But the redhead did not once stir.

Everything crashed to a halt.

Was Lavi... Dead?

Devit: OOOHHHHHHHH SNAP.

Jasdero: Totally. WHO KNOWS IF LAVI WILL SURVIVE!

*Envelope drops from ceiling randomly*

Devit: ooh! It looks like more feedback!

Jasdero: You go first!

Devit: Alright! lets see *Picks up envelope and opens it* The first one is from Shirubagure.

Wow, Lenalee I really hate you right now. :I Glad this will be AllenxRoad! :D A little one-sided Yullen huh? Interesting. :3 But seriously what is wrong with you Lenalee? I really want to punch you and maybe do even a bit more but seriously I expected more out of you. I would really like to try these Peppermint Creams. x3

Jasdero: Yeah, Lenalee went a bit crazy in this chapter didn't she?

Devit: Tell me about it. Also what are these Peppermint creams? How come we didn't get told about any Peppermint Creams?!

Angelic: Oops, looks like I forgot.

Jasdero: Thanks for the review Shirubagure. We're glad you enjoy the story so far!

*Another letter drops from the ceiling*

Jasdero: Okay here goes! *Clears throat* This one is from Seraphinit.

Ooohhh! I love that pairing XD Allen and Road are my favorites :3
I reeaallyy hope that Lenalee gets killed, I don't like her anyway, she's way too annoying :/ I liked how Allen just killed her in his dream.

Devit: Heehehheheheheeeeeee. Lets just say the author has plenty planned for Lenalee. Oh and also we know this chapter specifically was very one-sided Yullen but you will have some more RoadxAllen ness coming your way soon!

*Envelope drops again*

Devit: Okay, Last one. It's from MaiKanon.

Nice chapter! Yay go lavi and kanda! :D
I'm still hoping for some joker pairin ;) (& yullen) but aside from that, i think you need to be careful that RoadxAllen wont go too fast or it'll be unrealistic.
keep up the great work! Mai ;)

Jasdero: Thankyou for your review! The author will definitely keep that in mind about the roadxallen pairing!

Devit: That all for now readers but thanks for visiting and please review! Also those who didn't get their reviews shown everyone's did get read and appreciated!

Jasdero/Devit: Bye!
