THE NEXT DAY
The fire was roaring in the hearth, casting a dim glow over the room.
"Kanda." Murmured Allen as the two sat by the fireplace, absently staring into the flames. The dark haired samurai shifted his gaze to the whitette.
Taking this as confirmation to carry on, Allen continued. "Do you remember the Black Order? It feels like ages ago." His silver irises shimmered in the light, giving him a tearful look. Kanda tried to hold back his blush sternly, he couldnt help staring at Allen in the dim light, watching his features move in and out of the glow. "Kanda?" Allen questioned again with a slight pout. "Are you listening? You look flushed, maybe you have a fever." Kanda snapped out of his trance. "No, I'm fine. What were you saying?" Allen blinked and smiled. "It doesn't matter, it was silly." Kanda reached out to Allen's face and threaded his fingers into the smaller boys white locks.
Allen leant into the hand and closed his eyes, sighing slightly. "It was nothing." Kanda gave up his persistence after the slightly sharper response. Allen opened his eyes again to reveal those silver orbs that Kanda adored. "This is nice. I like it when we spend time together." And as he said that he leant in slightly till his face was centimeters away from Kandas. The two locked eyes and drew in, closer and closer until-

Kanda was pulled from his slumber harshly as he rolled off his bed straight onto the cold floor.
"SHIT!" He yelled as he hit the ground with a thud, faint laughter was heard from his bed. Wait... His bed?! The furious samurai got up slowly before turning to his own bed where a mop of red hair could be seen just under the covers, giggling away. One green eye peeked over the top of the duvet and the redhead stopped laughing as a very angry Kanda unsheathed Mugen and leered down at him threateningly.
"H-Hey Yuu! It was just a joke! You know it gets cold at night!" Stammered Lavi as he scrambled out of Kandas bed and out of the door, The dark haired samurai hot on his heels.

24th December
When Allen awoke that morning, he realized one thing almost immediately. That thing was that Road was not beside him. He knew he shouldn't have expected her to be there every morning, she probably had her own things to do, but it didnt stop Allen from feeling slightly lost without her. He kickstarted his morning routine and threw on some clothes before heading for the dining room, his growling stomach leading the way.
As he entered the Dining Room the voices that came from it that were inaudible and jumbled before they became slightly clearer.
"That's a good idea!"
"Okay so the plan is done."
When the Noah seated at the table noticed Allen walk towards them they became suddenly hushed and silent.
"What's going on?" Questioned Allen suspiciously as he took his own seat. A few of them exchanged glances "Oh, just a mission that Tyki was planning on. Nothing to worry about." Replied Road with a sweet smile. Allen gave them all a squint. Something was definitely up. The Noah around him dissolved into quiet chatter as breakfast was brought out by the akuma servants that loitered around the arks many halls. Soon the suspicious behavior was forgotten by Allen as he wolfed down some of his favourite dishes. The Noah around him looked on with bemusement and slight fire crackled softly in the hearth, keeping the snowy weather out of the hallways of the ark.
At that moment the dining room doors burst open and Lavi toppled into the room, running from a murderous looking Kanda. They both froze upon seeing the company they had walked into. An awkward stillness fell as the Exorcists and Noah stared each other down. Seeing that Kanda had stopped chasing him, Lavi timidly took his seat at the table, in the empty chair furthest from the Noah. He shuffled uncomfortably and tried to avoid eye contact, especially with Allen.
"Nice of you to join us." Spoke Tyki softly, breaking up the unpleasant atmosphere. Lavi nodded stiffly, eyes still zoned into his plate. Kanda gave a grunt and fell into a chair next to Lavi. Tyki tutted in exasperation at the hostility of the dark haired samurai. "Let's just eat our breakfast like a civilized bunch shall we?" There were a few murmurs of reluctant confirmation from the other Noah. Allen was still inhaling food, refusing to acknowledge the two exorcists that were seated meters away. Kanda had his eyes trained on the whitette. But seemed angry when he couldnt get a response from the teen. As if to taunt him, Road snuggled up closer to Allen and gave Kanda a challenging look. The samurai's blood boiled with jealousy as he watched Road give him a smug grin and draw Allen closer.
The stifling awkwardness was then once again broken by the sudden presence of the Earl, who took his seat at the head of the table and received some food from a passing Akuma. He began to absentmindedly talk with Tyki, seemingly ignoring the exorcists.
Allen sighed into his food. It looked like it was going to be like this for a while.

After the uncomfortable meal the mixture of Exorcists and Noah divided. Allen was the first to escape the room, wanting to get as far from his old 'friends' as possible. Road shared a pointed look with Tyki, before going after him. Tyki sighed. 'Im always left with the worst jobs.' But he wasn't doing this for himself, he was doing it for Road and Allen, and he cared about them a lot. He slowly made his way towards the exorcists.
Kanda and Lavi were wondering where the hell they could go when they were interrupted by Tyki. Kanda seemed cautious as his hand hovered over Mugen. Tyki held his hands up in mock surrender. "Calm down, Im not here to murder anyone." Lavi held his gaze, and the two former exorcists said nothing.
Tyki sweatdropped 'Tough crowd'.
"Listen, It's about Allen."
This definitley seemed to catch the two's attention. They were now giving him suspicious looks. "We're listening..." Said Lavi slowly, motioning for Kanda to relax.
"As you may or may not know, it's his birthday tommorow."
Lavi's expression was replaced with surprise. "I forgot about that..."
"Well, We're all planning to throw him a surprise party. And- Hear me out!" Said Tyki suddenly when Kanda opened his mouth to interrupt. "I know that you two aren't on the best of terms with him at the moment, so this is your chance to sort things out. He might be a bit more accepting towards you when you show some good will towards him. So just, think about it and when you decide you want to help out, just come and find me or Road. That's all I wanted to say." And with that final note, Tyki turned on his heel and strode away, leaving Lavi and Kanda to ponder his decision.

25th December
Road hummed cheerfully as she walked down the corridors of the ark, a large box full of party streamers and assorted decorations clutched in both hands. JasDebi had taken Allen out, doing god knows what. The other Noah needed some time to set up Allens surprise party and figuring that JasDebi would do more harm than good, set them the task of distracting Allen for a while.
Finally reaching her destination, she placed the box of decorations next to Sheril, who patted her on the head lovingly and gave her a warm smile. Road wouldn't admit it out loud, but she was happier than she ever had been. It seemed that Allen had been a postive influence on all of them. No more were the Noah moping solemnly around the ark, taking the odd mission to bring down the exorcists. They were actually acting as a family, something that Road hadn't seen for a long long while.
The doors to the room opened slightly and the crowd present turned to see Lavi peek around the door. He stared at Tyki, seemingly trying to communicate telepathically and failing tremendously, but Tyki got the gist of it. He beckoned the redhead towards him and the boy complied, trying not to take notice of the stares he was getting. Kanda appeared behind him, looking thoroughly displeased with his current situation. As the two reached Tyki, the man gave them a small smirk.
"So, you two finally decided to help out." He said, handing them a few boxes of decorations. Lavi took his offered box and gave a small nervous smile. "I just want to be able to speak to him again." The redhead sighed. Kanda gave a small "hm." In agreement. Tyki sighed for the upteenth time that day.
"Well, we don't know how long Jasdebi can keep him away, so you guys better work fast."

"You guys didn't have to buy me this many sweets..." Said Allen as he walked with JasDebi back through the town. His arms were laden with candy and chocolate in big bright boxes and colourful wrappers. Debitto shrugged with a smirk and leant over to whisper to Jasdero "Go ahead and check to see if their ready yet." Jasdero nodded quickly and rushed on ahead whilst Allen looked on with confusion.
'I thought those two always stayed together...'
'Who knows?' It seemed like Neah was talking to him again.
'Ohoho, look who decided to crawl out of his cave for a chat.'
'If we're talking about your head, then you're right in saying they're both extremely empty.'
'Low blow Neah, low blow.'
'Now that we're done insulting each other, you wanna let me take the reins for a bit?'
'You must be joking.'
'A mans gotta try.'
'Maybe if you hadn't tried to take over my body the other day, we could've come to an agreement."
'Do you hate me?'
Allen was surprised for a second, but didn't stop matching Debittos pace down the street.
'... No.'
'That's suprisingly good to hear.'
Neah quieted down and allowed Allen a more peaceful walk towards the edge of the town. As they neared to place where they could safely gate back to the ark Debitto started to become noticably jittery. He glanced around, looking for something that he could distract Allen with and buy more time. Finding nothing he called out to Allen urgently.
"Ah! Stay still, there's something in your hair!" He made up on the spot, causing Allen to stop walking and look at him. "Don't worry I'll get it out!" Debitto cried, brushing the nothing out of Allen's white locks. When he had held out the moment as much as he could without arousing suspicion, they started to walk again.
'No good! I need to do something that will stall more time!' Debitto thought quickly, an idea struck him.
"Allen! Your shoe laces are undone!" He half shouted, causing Allen to stop walking again, and look down at his feet.
"Debitto... My shoes don't have shoelaces on them."
"Oh, My bad!" Laughed Debitto nervously as Allen gave him a very confused look and once again started to walk. "Are you feeling okay? You've been wierd ever since we left town." The whitette questioned. Debitto gulped. "W-What? There's nothing-" He stopped talking as he caught sight of Jasdero running back towards him, a wide smile on his face and his blond hair flying in all directions as he rushed towards them. Thanking all that was not holy Debitto sighed in relief and beckoned Jasdero over to himself so they could walk side by side.
"Is it ready?" He whispered to the blond.
"Just finished."
"Finished what?"
The two turned to see Allen listening in on their conversation. Jasdebi jumped a foot in the air, both letting out yells of surprise.
"N-Nothing to worry about! Hahaha!" Rushed Debitto nervously. "Let's just go back to the ark!" He cried, leading the march away from the town. Allen shrugged off the boys wierd behaviour, maybe the Noah had eaten too much at the sweet store.
'My dear nephew, sometimes you can be really oblivious.'
'Oblivious to what?'
'...I rest my case.'

Dumbledora: Sorry for the abrupt cut off! I But I decided to split the chapter into two parts, otherwise the word count would be unbalanced. I know not much occured but ITS A BUILD UP TO THE MAIN EVENT. ehe =w=
BUT NOW, LETS CHECK SOME REVIEWS.
Natsuki D - Someone needs to throw leenalee into reality and smack some f****ing sense into her (excuse the language) I really want lavi and kanda to join up with the earl and Allen and beat the s***t out of leenalee
Can't wait for the next chapter
(Leenalee, u looked so pure but now I cannot think it that way. Allen, destroy all stupid bakas who r in black order (except for cook) and rule.
Wow I am thinking in the dark zone now.
Heck just give me a gun so I can shoot leenalee and then my sword so I can get rid of her legs. BLACK ORDER! PREPARE FOR REVENGE AND DEFEAT MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!

Dumbledora: DO NOT WORRY MY FRIEND, REVENGE SHALL BE DEALT, IN MANY WAYS. HUEHUE. I also love Jerry the cook! He's so precious. I agree the Lenalee needs to back the hell up before she gets smacked the hell up, we'll just have to see how her fate goes... :D Thanksyous for reviewing, and Im sorry I left you without a chapter for so long!

Shirubagure - ...Something is wrong with FFN for this Fanfiction... I mean, the last time I reviewed, it was chapter 6... And for chapters 7 and 8, I didn't get any notice or anything that this was even updated until chapter 9 was out... No wonder I was so confused. x.x Ah, just a little bit of advice though, maybe you should put there is a bit of Lenalee bashing or Lenalee OOC... (Not sure if it's bashing, since I don't know if you hate Lenalee.)? I mean, if Lenalee fans saw this, I don't really think most would be happy (Not that I'm not a Lenalee fan.). ;;
Anyways, I am also not a fan of OC's for other fanfictions for the same reasons as yours and that sometimes, depending, it makes the original -Man characters way OOC that I just don't find the will to read it anymore. I do look forward to other chapters though. :) I wonder how Lenalee is going to make a comeback and the end of the chapter-excluding Lenalee's part-was pretty sad. :c Sorry for the long review. xD

Dumbledora: Nothing to apologize for! I genuinely love long reviews! I also heeded your advice and updated the summary to warn all those Lenalee lovers out there. *shiver* Thankyou for taking the time to review! It really means a lot. :'D

Mike - Holy crap. Awesome story. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOVED this. It was really awesome and I can hardly wait for the next awesome installment of 'lenalee has officially lost her shit and Allen is a bipolar Twinkie in a ding dong world.' that is now what I've summarized this as in my mind. And online. Where everyone can see. Hecks yes

Dumbledora: I don't know who you are Mike but I love the way your mind works. There shall be more Lenalee loosing her shit to come so look forward to the future! After this chapter, Allen can be an oblivious bi-polar Twinkie in a ding dong world. Thanks much for reviewing, it always inspires me! 'u'
Ok so that's it for this chapter, the next one will be out as soon as I can! I've been suffering for some serious writers block so sorry if this chapter is weaker than the rest but I needed some time to tie up loose ends. Still i hope you enjoyed the chapter and please review for more! Dumbledora out!
