Numbers 13:31-33

A/N: Okay, I'm truly sorry, but once again I've failed to deliver what I promised. I'm afraid that the long important chapter I promised all that time ago, still isn't finished. However I also decided that you lot have waited long enough, so I cut out a shorter finished chunk, so you would have something to read. Afraid its going to be six after all.

I'm sorry its taken me so long to reply, I've just been so busy I've barely had anytime to write, plus this chapter proved more difficult than I expected. Any way I hope this you find something in her to enjoy, some important things do certainly happen.

I promise I'll add the next chapter in a few days, its nearly done now, I just need a bit longer to finish. In the meantime I hope this will suffice.

Just one word of advice, keep an eye on the minor things, some of them will play a part later. Well enjoy:

Chapter Fifteen: Freedom?

Slowly Penny laid down upon the table, that they had moved into the centre of the apartment. Very carefully Amy and Bernadette tied her down; making sure that the robes weren't so tight that they would cut of the circulation in her wrists or legs, while also making certain they weren't loose enough for her to get free during the process. The whole time Penny stared at them, calmly but still uncertainly.

Sheldon stood at the end of the table watching the events, as they occurred. Soon enough the restraints were in place. He looked down at Penny, his face was blank and emotionless, but still a little sweat was falling down his brow.

"Are you sure this will work?" Amy asked, walking over to his side.

"According to my research this should break the curse and restore Penny's memories." Sheldon replied.

"But can you do it?" Bernadette asked, having walked over to his other side.

Sheldon paused unsure, "I've managed to pull of other uses of my power this shouldn't be too much more difficult than them." He paused again, "Just one thing though, if something goes wrong, do not try and interrupt the process, regardless of what happens to either her or me, don't interrupt, there is no way of telling what affects that will cause."

"Um Sheldon?" Penny asked, "Before we start, I have to know, is this going to hurt?"

"It's most likely to, yes." Sheldon replied.

"Thanks for being honest," Penny muttered sarcastically.

"You're welcome," Sheldon replied, the sarcasm going completely over his head.

There was a pause, Sheldon hesitated he stood there uncertainty. "What you waiting for, a full moon?" Penny called.

Sheldon gave her a slightly cold look, "be realistic Penny, the phases of the moon have no effect on my powers. I am not subject to astronomy."

"They what are you waiting for?"

Sheldon hesitated, before slipping off his coat and letting his long white wings stretch out of his back. He flexed them slightly, letting the feathers flutter. Once again the room was hit by the dim white glow that was somehow almost calming in effect.

"Do you need a knife?" Bernadette asked.

Sheldon shook his head, "No, blood is not necessary for this one, thankfully. Now please gag Penny."

"Gag?" Penny tried to sit up, but the robes held her down. "Wait a minute you didn't say I needed a gag just to be tied down."

"It's okay," Sheldon replied calmly, "it's just in case this process is very painful for you, so that your screams don't distract me."

Bernadette walked forward and placed the gag on Penny, she did not cover her mouth however, leaving it resting on her chin.

Sheldon paused, "Okay, let us begin shall we?" He dipped his hands in the bowl of water by the side, and slowly walked up so he was standing over Penny.

"Wait," Amy said, "Sheldon if this does somehow go wrong, what will happen to Penny?"

"Well…" Sheldon began not looking up from what he was doing "…in the case something goes very wrong, as long as you promise to feed, house train and take her for walks, I don't mind if we keep her."

"Wait what?" Penny shouted, once again she tried to wriggle free, but she was tied down fast. Not replying, Sheldon placed the gag over Penny's mouth. Silently Amy watched, hoping that that was just one of Sheldon's unintentionally inappropriate attempts to try and lighten the mood.

Calmly Sheldon walked around the table Penny was lying upon. And as he did he began to chant. "O Zachriel, Liberum Hoc Mulier A Daemones Spell. O Zachriel Vestibulum Hoc Milier A Hoc Maledicite. O Deus, Mitte tuus Minister. Vestibulum Eius. Vestibulum Eius. Lorem ipsum Ego Tandem. Zachriel, Raphael, Zachriel, Raphael. O Deus Ego Tandem Vestibulum Eius."

And then he began the chant again, he continued to walk around the table in a clockwise fashion. Penny's eyes were fixed upon him, uncertainly she watched him perform this ritual, not even daring to blink. As he walked around his eyes began to glow, they started at a dim white, but they were slowly getting brighter. As they did he began walking faster, still chanting the same words over and over again in Latin.

As he did Amy and Bernadette began to notice there was now a sort of buzz in the air, an uncertainty, similar, but not the same, to the way it feels just before there is a thunderstorm. A gentle breeze began to blow. By this point Sheldon's eyes were all out glowing, it was like he was building up momentum. His skin was also getting lighter and paler, as if it was turning white as well.

Amy and Bernadette watched with fascination, it was like some uncertain ritual, both anticipating and dreading what may come next. Then suddenly Sheldon stopped, silence fell, he gave one last look towards Amy, before suddenly slamming his right hand down on Penny's forehead.

Immediately Penny tried to cry out, it felt like his hand was burning. Not noticing Sheldon began to push down harder, still chanting the words. Penny began frantically squirming trying to get away. It felt like his hand was getting hotter by the second, she could feel her skin burning under it. Sheldon's eyes were glowing even brighter now. His wings were pulsing pure white light.

The brightness was still intensifying, Penny frantically tried to pull free, she had to get away, she had to get away. Somehow she had to get away, this was too painful, this was agony. It felt like he had red hot iron pokers being pushed into her head.

Sheldon was clearly straining by this point, sweat poured down his brow. The light was so bright now that it was blinding, Amy and Bernadette were forced to look away. The intensity too much for their eyes to cope. And still Sheldon was chanting those words. "…Zachriel, liberum Hoc Mulier A Daemones Spell…" he carried on.

The pain was outright agony by this point, Penny couldn't take it, her heart was beating so fast it felt like it was about to explode, her body was shaking violently. If it wasn't for the ropes she would proably break a bone or something and still Sheldon carried on "…Vestibulum Eius. Vestibulum Eius.."

Still struggling, suddenly Penny's arm came free. Frantically she began violently hitting Sheldon. She had to get him off. She had to get him away. Hitting him did nothing more than bruise her hand, but this didn't slow her blows, she had to make him stop. This…this…this… Penny stopped hitting Sheldon; her mind was going blank, her arm gently rested by her side. Inside her scalp something began to move, large bumps began to form, seeing this Sheldon continued to press down, still chanting the words.

"O Deus Tandem Vestibulum Eius!" He cried. Suddenly out of Penny's ears poured black sludge, Amy and Bernadette (who had since turned back to squint) managed to stare in shock despite the blinding light. What the hell was going on? The sludge glopped out of Penny's ears onto the side of the table. However as it touched Sheldon's white light it was instantly vaporised. Straining Sheldon held out for the last bit, the bumps under Penny's scalp were almost gone now, just a few seconds more…

With a final splat, the last of the gunk fell onto the table and was reduced to nothing. Gasping for breath Sheldon pulled away. He stopped chanting, and almost instantly the glare vanished. Groaning he grabbed a glass of water he had set out earlier and poured the entire contents down his throat. He paused for a few moments, before straightening back up.

Amy rushed over to his side, while Bernadette walked over more cautiously. "Are you okay?" Amy asked.

"I'm fine," Sheldon replied, "That wasn't the most strenuous thing I've had to do in the last two months. I just need a few minutes to rest."

"But did it work?" Bernadette asked.

There was a pause, and then all three of them turned round to face Penny. She was lying there motionless upon the table, a vacant look in her eyes. "Penny?" Amy asked uncertainty, leaning in she took the gag away from her friend's mouth.

Penny didn't reply, for a few moments they just stood there in silence, waiting to see what would happen next. It was a terrible silence, the kind that is somehow defending, everyone just stood there waiting to see if it had worked, or if it had completely destroyed Penny's mind. And then in the horses whisper of a voice, she uttered but one word "Leonard?"

"Penny," Amy practically screamed diving forward and embracing her bestie in a very tight hug.

Bernadette rushed forward and began to struggle to untie here ropes, seeing this Amy joined her friend. In moments Penny was free, together they managed to prop her up, Penny's eyes were still spinning and she was having trouble speaking.

"Quick water" Amy said.

Sheldon grabbed a second glass and reaching forward he gently poured the cool drink down Penny's throat. She drank it quickly. Pulling the glass back, the others took a step back. Grabbing the sides of table Penny steadied herself. Sitting there she let out a low groan. Before pushing back and trying to stand up.

Her legs were ready for the weight and she stumbled forward, Amy and Bernadette tried to rush forward to steady her, but Penny managed to find her feet on her own. Groaning she straightened up.

"Penny?" Amy said again,

"How are you feeling," Bernadette asked?

Penny just groaned again and then she finally spoke "how much did I drink last night?" She asked, "I feel like someone's stuck there hand through my head and squeezed my brains out of my ears." Penny paused, as her eyes focused fully, they quickly swept the entire room.

"Oh my God," she cried, "all that happened, I…I…" She trailed off. Then her eyes opened wide, "Oh my God, Leonard, where's Leonard?"

No one replied, Penny stood there, her mind was still fuzzy, but she knew something was wrong, something was wrong with Leonard. Penny couldn't exactly remember everything, her mind was full of images: wings, demons, white light, magic, monsters and a whole of traveling. She paused to try and compose her thoughts; she needed to get everything in check.

But all she could think about was Leonard, where was he? What was wrong? Why wasn't he here?

Sheldon turned to Amy, "I think she's going to need some time to recover."

Guessing where he was going, Amy walked over to Penny. Gently she took her hand and led Penny off to one of the rooms. She returned a few minutes later. "Okay I left her to have a lie down, so what do we do now?"

Sheldon turned to Amy, "we just carry on, Penny can catch up later."

However before they could continue, Amy spoke up, "Sheldon, can I ask you something?"

"Yes?" Sheldon replied, "it's just two days ago you were near empty, and it took you borrowing power from Heaven to have enough to save Bernadette, yet now you seem to be back on full power? How does that work."

Sheldon's expression turned slightly uncomfortable, "It's quite simple really…" he began "While it's true I was almost out of power a few days ago," he paused for a moment, "however when I was connecting your souls, I had their power channel through me, somehow it seems my body syphoned off part of that and used it to restore me to full power."

There was a pause, but before his words couldn't truly sink in, Sheldon got the conversation back on track "Anyway Amy did you come with anything that can help us?"

Nodding Amy grabbed a map and laid it out on the table where Penny had been lying short while earlier. "Well, I checked the maps and continuing in the direction that sewer we found Bernadette in leads to only one building." Penny pointed at one large building, "The Henderson Steel Mill."

Amy paused, for a moment, "I checked it out and apparently it was shut down several years ago, but it was never actually decommissioned, the company that bought it, went bankrupt before they got a chance to get it up and running, since then it's pretty much rested in limbo. There's no one there and it's quite a large building. What do you think?"

"Sounds exactly like the sort of place that Azazel would use as his base." Sheldon replied.

"So that's where they held us?" Bernadette asked.

"It is certainly the most likely candidate, after all what's more attractive to a demon than a lake of fire and molten metal?"

"So what do you plan to do? Burst in, grab Howard and Leonard and run like heck?" Bernadette asked.

"Not exactly," Sheldon replied, "But I suppose it is similar."

"I'm just tired of all this running," Bernadette said. "I mean, it's hard to live your life when you're constantly looking over the back of your shoulder."

"It's only till were safe," Amy said.

"Yeah but how long until then?"

The both turned to Sheldon, "To be completely honest, it will take several more months at least." He replied. "But honestly we don't have any other alternative."

"Or do we?" Bernadette asked.

Both Sheldon and Amy stared at her. "What do you mean?" Amy asked.

"Well I had an idea, it won't give us complete safety, but it might take some of the heat off our backs."

"I doubt it will be too useful, but please carry on," Sheldon said, genuinely interested but as normal sceptical.

"Well it's like this…" Bernadette began.

In the other room Penny lay there on the bed her mind spinning, she did remember, didn't see? Of course she remembered, but then had she forgotten what she had remembered? It was all so confusing, her mind was buzzing in an unusual way.

She could remember that something had caused her turn into an almost cationic state, that they were on the run form demons, that Sheldon was part angel and that a demon had taken Leonard. But what exactly had left her in the original state, and what had happened since then she had no idea. Penny also didn't know how much time had passed, all of it felt like it had happened at least a month or two ago, and yet she had no other memories of the time in between. It was all so confusing.

She had to focus, Leonard was still in danger, it was the only explanation, was he still with the demon… what was his name? Azal? No no, Azazal was it? Oh who cared? The point was Leonard had been kidnapped by a homicide lunatic! Penny knew she had to get Leonard back; she had to get him back. She would never forgive herself if she let anything happen to him. Penny longed to get up and try and find out more, but her mind was still buzzing. She needed to calm down first, her head still hurt too much, she needed to calm down and then she could find Leonard. And she would find Leonard, she would.

In the other room Penny could hear the others talking, exactly what they were saying she couldn't quite make out, but they sounded very interested. Groaning Penny turned over, she was suddenly feeling very sleepy, her head was still buzzing, but her eye lids were getting heavier. Groaning Penny let herself slowly doze off, deciding that a short rest would be all her mind needed to focus its self. And then she would go after Leonard…after Leonard…Leonard…

There was a splash, Leonard's eyes suddenly opened wide, frantically he began gasping for air, the demon standing before him chuckled. "W…what's going on?" Leonard gasped, shivering from the ice cold water.

"Nothing really," the demon replied. "But the boss said to keep an eye on you; it's easier to do that if you're awake."

"But I can't go anywhere," Leonard shouted back.

The demon grabbed Leonard by throat and hoisted him up, so he was completely off the ground. Leonard tried to gasp for air, as he was strangled by the beast. "You think I don't know that?" the demon asked. "Now the boss wants you alive, but he didn't say anything about not being allowed to rip out your tongue, so I would watch what you say in future? Got it?"

Leonard tried to nod but it was near impossible, the demon just laughed. He let go, and Leonard fell back down. Smiling the demon just vanished into thin air. Leonard was left hanging there, his shoulders and wrists really ached, and he was sure he had pulled something. With nothing else he could do, he tried to ignore the pain. He looked over Howard was still sleeping. He was actually smiling. Leonard couldn't help but feel sorry for his friend, whatever pleasant fantasy he had temporarily escaped to, it would be ripped away from him when he was forced to confront this grim hell upon awakening.

Looking around at the rotting cell, Leonard once again faced the sad truth that this cell was probably going to be his tomb. He would die here, of starvation if nothing else; true to Azazel's words they hadn't been fed since that night. He would die hanging here, if not of hunger then at the hands of one of the demons; maybe of the head honcho himself. But what did it matter, his life was forfeit, he was going to die.

He would never see his best friend again, never again hear the beautiful sound of his girlfriend's voice, never again touch her warm soft skin. He would never get married; he would never make it to becoming a professor. He would never have children, never achieve success in his career, never be known or succeed. Never hear mother tell him she was proud of him. No, none of it would happen, none of it at all.

He was going to die here in this cell, with no one knowing where he was. Heck he wouldn't even get a funeral or a burial; the demons would just toss him down the drain, like they did with Bernadette. Leonard broke his chain of thought to hank his head at that thought. Poor Bernadette, Leonard had never really had a faith, but after all he had experienced in the last few months, he honest couldn't help but wonder. Where ever she was Leonard hoped she was happy. Somewhere happier somewhere where she wasn't bleeding or in pain somewhere where the sun was shining and birds were singing. Perhaps somewhere where Howard could one day meet her again…one day soon by the way things were going.

Leonard shook his head, perhaps it was best not to think of these things but honestly at that moment, right there in this dark, damp, smelly cell it all seemed completely inevitable. With their chances of rescue being next to non-existent. But what else was Leonard supposed to do? Hanging there in the darkness, he realised for the first time just how much his arms really hurt. It was agony being chained here. He had tried to ignore the pain, but being jerked around by that demon had really done something, he felt like he had pulled a muscle, it was near agony. Struggling he once again tried to get his mind off it.

Leonard wasn't sure how long he had been imprisoned down here, but he really hated these chains. Every time he tried to move they made an awful clinking sound, and they were so heavy. Leonard had never been strong, but he felt sure, that by isometrics alone he must have dramatically increased his muscle strength from all this agony. Heck if he got out of this and managed to have all the damage healed, he might actually be in better shape than he had ever been. Not that it would do him any good; it didn't matter how strong he got, he would be never be strong enough to face these things, no human could.

It really amazed him just how strong these creatures were, it was like something out of his comics books. They could break brick, bend metal, snap steel, lift grown men into the air with one hand and knock people around like swatting a fly. He knew Sheldon had told him, all this was based in science, it was just very complicated, but honestly Leonard couldn't see how it worked. For example they were still as strong when they possessed people, how could they enhance a person's muscles to that extent? And if they could, why didn't they pull their bodies apart when they tried such feats? It didn't seem to fit with the laws of biology.

Sighing, as he hung there in the darkness, Leonard found he could find some comfort in the fact that he wasn't going through another one of Azazel's psycho psychiatry discussions. Honestly the more time he spent in them, the more fondly Leonard thought about his mother. This guy could give her lessons. Oh who was he kidding, he could give the Spanish Inquisition lessons.

Why had he taken so much interest in him though? That's what Leonard wanted to know, why him? Come to think it of it, it was probably just luck of the draw, after all, it wouldn't be the first time that life had dropped him in it. As hung there Leonard couldn't help but think back to what Azazel had said. He had told himself time and time again, not to let it get into his head, but it was no good. He knew it was all rubbish, it had to be, but then why had it struck so many cords?

Leonard had no idea; he didn't know what to be sure off, what to think, or anything for that matter. All he knew was what he could see before him. And all he could see was the dark, damp wall opposite to where he was hanging. It almost saddened Leonard, at the thought that this could be his last sight. Still shivering slightly, Leonard tried to get back to sleep, in the baking room; it felt so unusual to shiver. Sure enough he soon dried off, but it was quite a while before he managed to get back to sleep.

Penny groaned, the sewer stank, Sheldon clearly shared her displeasure, as he practically squirmed with every step. Slowly but surely the two of them walked down the dim passage. "Not much further now." Sheldon grimaced. As they walked, Penny couldn't help but notice Sheldon was walking with a slight limb, something which struck her as odd, but she brushed off as she had more pressing concerns on her mind.

"You know, out of everything, the fact that you were willing to go down a dirty old sewer is still the most surprising that has happened." Penny added.

"The element of surprise is crucial to the plan."

"Well, you know I would feel a bit more comfortable if I actually knew what this plan of ours was, considering I'm the one joining you on sneaking into the steel mill."

"No time for a briefing, it's simple, we slip up the passage the same one they dumped Bernadette's body, thus it will take us to the same room they are being held in. We break them free and sneak out before they even know we were there, just like we did back at the club."

"That went near nothing like that," Penny snapped back.

"We can worry about that when we get there come on,"

Looking around, even in the dim light Penny couldn't help but shudder, "this place is disgusting,"

"You think it's bad?" Sheldon asked, "Try being able to see each and every individual bacterium? Its enough to drive you mad."

Penny didn't reply they just carried on walking down the passage. Soon enough they came to a set of rails on the wall. "This must be it," Sheldon said. "I'll go first, you follow." Cautiously he climbed up the ladder.

Carefully Sheldon pushed up the drainage cover, before ever so slowly sliding it to the side. The two of them waited to see if anyone heard them, but there was no sound. As quietly as they could manage they climbed up and surveyed their surroundings. The two of them emerged in a medium sized room; it was mostly empty save an over turned rotting table, several decaying control boxes, and a couple of lines of partially exposed wiring across the wall.

The walls themselves were a dirty grey colour and the floor was covered in dirt and decaying pieces of fallen celling, it was clear there was no one in here. "We must have not gone far enough." Penny said, "Let's slip back down and try again."

But Sheldon had other ideas, "were in, no point going out until we get what we came for. They can't be far, let's look around, but be careful."

Penny clutched the shotgun close to herself, something about this room reminded her to much of all those horror films she had seen, the ones were the guy suggested they look around and then the hot blond girl gets a spike through her skull. She silently reminded herself, that that was probably not the best thing to think about right now.

Carefully they crept over to the only visible exit, the door was old and it was a bit surprising it was still standing. Placing his hand on the handle, Sheldon gently opened it. It emerged into a corridor. Now this was in somewhat better shape. The walls were still grimy, but the floor was cleaner, the celling was also in one piece, with no holes in it. Despite this the corridor also seemed deserted.

Slowly the two of them began to walk down it, the lights were on, but they were unusually dim. Like there was very little power left. Slowly the two of them crept down the corridor, the ground was hard and cold, which was unusual considering that it was at least 120 degrees in here. The end of the corridor was insight, before them was another door.

Gingerly Sheldon reached forward to try and grab the handle. When suddenly there was a soft crash behind them. The two of them spun round in an instant. Penny held her gun pointed; ready to blow whatever it was to kingdom come. Sheldon's eyes instantly shot over the corridor searching for what had caused the noise.

He almost immediately spotted it. Part of the plaster on one of the walls had snapped off and fallen onto the floor, exposing the rotting wooden boards beneath. Directing Penny towards the sight, both of the stood there staring, waiting for something to happen next. And then a rat poked his head out from between the floorboards.

Both Penny and Sheldon stared, as the vermin scuttled out of the crack in the floorboards and jumped down, before running off down the corridor. Penny couldn't help but chuckle, even Sheldon rolled his eyes. Slowly they turned back to the door before them, grabbing the handle Sheldon pulled it open, only to reveal a demon standing there behind it.

Snarling the beast tried to lunge at them. Penny dived backwards, Sheldon managed to slam door, but the creature smashed right through it. Colliding with Sheldon he caught him by surprise and knocked him down. Still struggling Sheldon hit the ground. The Demon tried to hold him down, Penny tried to rush forward only for another demon to lunge through the door way at her.

Quickly Penny let off a shot, the exploding rock salt smashed into the creature, knocking it to the ground and leaving lying there twitching. Finally reacting, Sheldon pushed back and threw the beast off him, snarling he kicked it hard sending it flying into the wall. The Demon crashed through the ancient plaster and rotting wooden boards, but this did not stop it long. Pushing its way back, it tried to rush him again. But at that point Penny fired a second blast, and the demon ended up joining his friend lying on the floor.

Penny stood there panting for breath, but Sheldon just stared in fear, "Run," he shouted, "there's no way they didn't hear that, quick back down the sewer." The two of them turned to try and run back the way they came, but suddenly seven demons appeared in front of them.

Penny screamed and let off another blast, the scattering salt knocked down one demon, and caused two others to rear back in pain, but the rest just charged at them. Panicking the two turned and ran out the door way, it took them to another corridor, not really knowing or caring the two of them kept running, going down corridor after corridor, the angry demons were in hot pursuit.

Frantically they turned ran round a bend only to rear in horror. A giant wire fence stood before them blocking off the way. Slowly Sheldon and Penny turned round, the demons were no more than a few yards behind them. Trying to be calm, Sheldon took off his shirt and let his long white wings spread out; frantically Penny tried to reload, she only had four shots left.

The footsteps of the angry demons were so close now, and second they would turn the corner and they would have to fight their way through them. Slowly Penny turned to face Sheldon, "so is now a good time to tell me about this plan of yours?" Just then the demons emerged round the corner, still running they were quickly closing the distance between them.

Sheldon gave her a look and for a second Penny saw a flicker of remorse, cross his fearful expression. "Well Penny…" Sheldon began, "…it really begins with this." Suddenly he swung his left arm, so his hand slapped onto Penny's back. The force of the blow was so strong that it sent the gun flying from her hand, and caused Penny to shoot forward into crowd of demons. In an instant Sheldon dived forward, his wings flapping in an instant he went up crashing up through the ceiling. Penny screamed as she fell forward, but the mass of demons just vanished and she hit the cold floor.

Her vision dazed and her eyes spinning she tried to push herself back to her feet, but before she could there was a great crashing noise. Behind her Sheldon crashed back into the floor three demons wrapped around him, struggling he tried to get free, but the three demons were just too much. Between them they held him down.

Struggling Penny tried to get up, only for another demon to slam his boot down on her back knocking her down to the floor, the other demons began to laugh. "It looks like we've done good today fellas, go tell the master what we caught sneaking into his new home. The rest of you, help me take are new guests to dungeons. And someone hold his wings down, I'm not going to let this little birdy fly off." Calmly the demon walked over to Sheldon.

Sheldon looked up in fear at the beast above him, the demon laughed before slamming his foot down on Sheldon's left wing; he let out a scream as the bones snapped. The demon laughed again, as the group dragged them off down the corridor.

Howard and Leonard were awakened from there not so pleasant slumber, by the sound o shouting and screaming. To their bewilderment, they watched as a group of six demons marched into the room, but what was more surprising was who they had with them. The two could only stare in silence, as the demons dragged Sheldon and Penny in with them. In a few moments there shock turned to pure horror.

Penny tired her best to struggle, but the demon held her in place as if she was a rag doll, snarling he forced her against the wall. Hoisting her up, he fastened a pair of chains around her wrists and left her hanging there. Smiling the demon turned his attention to Sheldon.

Sheldon was still struggling, but between the three demons, they managed to hold him down, these demons were clearly strong enough to restrain him. Straining they forced him down onto his knees, he was struggling all the way, but it did him no good. "Get the chains." One demon bellowed. Two others ran off.

Hearing this it snapped Leonard out of his trance. "Sheldon," he screamed "Leave my friend alone." He futilely tried to break free. Sheldon continued to struggle against them. Suddenly he swung his right wing into the demon on his side. The force was enough to break the demons grip and knock him away from him. Frantically he pushed against the other two, forcing himself back up.

"Quick he's getting free, get him back down." The demon leader shouted frantically.

Another demon ran at Sheldon, but now his right arm was free, Sheldon clobbered it hard as it came running, knocking it back across the room. With his arm free, he tried to pry the other two demons off him, but at that moment the original demon recovered and dived on him. The force knocked him down again. Retaking his place the demon held him down. While the forth grabbed his wing, making certain this time that escape was impossible.

Together they pushed him back against the wall. The lead demon slowly walked forward, before suddenly punching Sheldon directly in the face. His head shot backwards, smashing through the bricks behind him. Sheldon groaned and hung his head, his eyes didn't look right and blood began to drip down the side of his head.

The two other demons ran back on to the scene, they were holding several black chains. Sheldon was still delirious. Together they chained his hands and legs together, before attaching the chain to the wall, and pulling him back up. In minutes he was imprisoned. The last lock clicked and the demons walked back to admire there handy work.

Sheldon groaned, "don't bother trying to break out of that," the lead demon chuckled, "those chains were forged in the fiery pits of hell its self, breaking them is well beyond your powers. Don't worry, the master will be seeing you soon," he turned to face Leonard, Howard and Penny "were let you all get reacquainted, it make it more entertaining for us when will we kill you." And with that they just vanished.

Slowly the group looked up at each, no one spoke, in the dim dark room, aside for the distance sound of pipes dripping, silence fell.

Okay there it is, I hope you enjoyed that. Now the longer chapter I promised you so long ago now, is nearly done, I promise it will be in a few days, then I'll upload it.

In the mean time, please review, and I hope you didn't find this chapter to much of an anti-climax after such a long wait.
