Any More Secrets?
Ana's POV:
I am so angry that I can't think straight. So much that I don't know if I am really angry or upset at Christian deceit. Why did he do it, or rather why didn't he do it! Is he that worried that I would run? I sigh loudly knowing that is exactly what I would do if he had done, exactly what I discovered, without any warning
The door to the penthouse is opened for me and I notice him perk up. It is almost endearing, but it also shows how arrogant he is. I bolt to witness him pour two glasses of champagne.
"Anastasia, this is a pleasant surprise. Did you have something in mind tonight? We do cater for many tastes you know."
"Many tastes you say?" My tone off, but Christian Grey looks like he doesn't give a fuck.
He passes me a glass of champagne, and we clink glasses. I look into his eyes as we raise our glasses to our lips. I take a quick drink but before he is able to stop me, I throw the contents of my glass over him. How do you like that one Grey?
"Anastasia, what the hell are you doing?"
"I could ask you the same thing!"
"Excuse me?"
"You lied to me. Why?" I start to pace and scream at the top of my lungs.
"Explain yourself right now!"
"Oh no, Christian Grey you are the one who needs to explain!"
"Anastasia start making sense now! What do I supposedly need to explain?"
"You want a list?" Okay, so it is only two issues, but right now that is a whole list to me.
"Go on then" Christian sits on the closest chair to him, crosses his legs and even signals for me to sit. Fat chance of the happening right now! He is trying to gain control as he looks up at me casually and perfectly in command. The fact that his shirt is damp after my impulsive act doesn't seem to have impacted on him at all. This is CEO Christian, and I am reminded why he has been so successful.
"Christian Grey, don't give me that CEO persona crap. What do you have to say for yourself? Don't you realize the impact it would have had on your business and employees, you and what would have your parents have said? Shit, my father would have had a heart attack!" I put on hands on my hips and wait for his response. I don't know how he could have been so reckless. He knows that ten's of thousands of people rely on him!
Christian cocks his head, silent for several minutes. "Anastasia I am not a patient man and your riddles are trying my tolerance!" I groan in frustration, over the fact that I have to spell it out for him.
"Yesterday. Elevator. Privacy?" I become as taciturn as my father, while Christian looks smug at the memory.
"Trust me Ana there was nothing from yesterday's elevator event that I would ever regret. I would rather repeat it, over and over again."
"What about when you lied to me about its privacy? What if someone had entered and seen us? The effects would have been disastrous!" I start to pace again, but Christian doesn't flinch. How I wish I had his composure! "You told me that the elevator was private... I would never have... you know never had... gone..."
"Struggling with your words there? I have an idea of what else we can do and words won't be necessary!" And with those words I lose my filter and what few inhibitions I have.
"I would never have gone down on you, in that elevator if I you hadn't misled me that it was private!"
"Anastasia, the elevator was private" Christian argues.
"Now I might not be a self-made billionaire genius, but I am not stupid. When we went down the elevator this morning, someone else got in. We were no longer alone in the elevator, therefore, making it available for public use and not private. I sincerely hope I don't have to provide you with a definition of each of those words; however, I am willing to educate you should there be a need." Even I have to catch my breath after that speech. I have always been feisty, but that might have just taken the cake, at least where Christian Grey is concerned.
"You have no idea how much I want to take you over my knee and into my playroom right now!" Christian is seductively running his index finger across the outline of his lip. How dare he when I am in this state?
"We will discuss the matter of your deceit in the playroom next... first we need to finalize discussing the elevator" Here I am chastising him and he is imaging having his wicked way with me. Thankfully Christian comes to his senses and sits up straight, but narrows his eyes at me.
"Yesterday when you demonstrated your rather gifted oral skills, we were going up to the penthouse. We were already more than half way up. There are no common use facilities from that level so there would be no reason for someone to have entered the elevator and we had stopped it midway. For all essential purposes, it was private, and you need the use of a pin code to gain access to this level of ESCALA. No one was going to get in. You are mine and I don't share!" Christian then picks up his glass of champagne and has another sip.
"Now should we get to the next point that you mentioned? Something about my deceit in the playroom" I stop and study his facial expressions but they are unreadable, but when I look into his eyes, I see a different story! It is a strange mix of confusion, fear, concern and annoyance!
"Tonight after Kate went to bed, I borrowed her laptop and did some research." I giggle at my academic reference. It has been quite an education. "Yesterday, I asked you to take me into your playroom, to show me what it meant to be in that room with you, but you deceived me. You gave me a watered down version. You weren't... yourself. I understand what now, exactly what BDSM means and what you want to do to me... but when you had your chance you didn't." I suddenly feel miserable. Maybe I am not what he wants.
"You are a Novice. I wouldn't do an intensive scene with a novice. You are yet to even reach novice stage. It was your first time." Christian puts his glass down and walks towards me. His CEO I-am-in-complete-control stance dissipates and he walks towards me. My head is telling me to walk backwards, to keep the distance between us, but I am drawn towards him by our strange and almost electric pull.
"Ana, I love you. I don't want to scare you off by exposing you to something you are not ready. "
"But you might just be are scaring off by not instead. You are making me believe that I can't be what you need" I need to gain some space to think, and start to walk towards to the glass wall. I need to look at something bigger than me and if possible, Christian Grey, but before I have even taken a single step, he tugs at my hand and pulls me in close to him. I close my eyes and take in his wholesome scent over and over because I am fearful that this might be the last time I get a chance.
"Don't run. I refuse to let you run or even walk away from me. I do need what that room offers, but as I informed you when I presented you with the submissive contract, you can define the terms. We have a lot to learn about each other."
"That's for sure."
"Can I safely assume that you are satisfied with my explanations" Christian is running his hands down my back in an almost strategic movement. My legs are turning to jelly.
"I would have to grade your explanations as above satisfactory."
"That sounds like a 'C' grade. I haven't received such a low grade ever since..." Playful Christian is suddenly replaced by something darker as he recalls something. I look away knowing that his next word was going to be Elena. "She is gone, out of my life Ana. I only want you."
Christian leans down and plants the softest kiss on my lips. I smile, but I after the past few hours, I need more. I stand as best as I can on my toes and take control, kissing him passionately and then allow him to possess me.
"Stay the night with me. It is late and I don't want to worry about you. There are clothes here that you can wear tomorrow to work and you can borrow one of my shirts to sleep in, but clothing in bed is optional, and not recommended" Oh playful Christian has arrived.
"Okay...I am exhausted." I relent fatigued, dazed and in love. If I weren't of sound mind, I would be convinced that Christian has some secret powers that he is able to yield over me. "Can I use your bathroom first?"
"You know where it is. I will meet you in my room in a few minutes. I just need to get something" Christian looks at me softly and there is an air of excitement on his face. He is planning something and I have no idea what it is.
"Okay, but before you go is there anything else you need to tell me? Any other secrets or omissions?" I aim for playfulness but end up sounding serious. How can there be any more after he confessed everything about Elena, his past and these two incidents. I really need to work on that. I expect Christian to say no immediately, but he just stands there looking at me. Oh shit! There is something.
"What is it? Tell me or I am leaving and I won't be coming back!" I threaten.
"Alright but you need to promise not to freak out or run down first."
A/N: So sorry this was short and that there been a shortage of updates. I will work on the next chapter to this story tomorrow! I promise. Thank you!
