Chapter 9: Skull Knight VS Yusei
Some of Yusei's friends were mourning over Tanners defeat. "Man poor Tanner." Luna sobbed. "This is terrible." Yanagi mumbled sadly.
"Miles send Tanner into shadows that maniac." Jack said angrily. "Jack come on Miles is just upset cause of Misty's Betrayal." Akiza spat at the former champion.
"Enough you guys we need to keep cool." Yusei said. "Look Yusei Tanner was just sent to shadows and you tell us to keep our cool!" Jack yelled.
Mr and Ms Izinski didn't like what Jack was saying about Miles either. Akiza saw her dad's face and he didn't like what was Jack saying about Miles. "Look you guys let's get some rest so we can prepare to confront Miles and stop him." Yusei said. The gang looked at him and nodded.
Back at the Starlight King's Castle.
Fiends were cheering: Long live the Starlight King!"
The kings loyal servants Nightmare Penguin, Skull Knight, Chaos Sorcerer, Deep Sea Warrior, and Judge Man stood behind him. The king turned around to face them. Then he looked at Skull Knight.
"Skull Knight!"
"Your majesty!"
"I want you to take two fiends with find Yusei and destroy him, that also includes friends too." The king said giving the skull monster orders.
"Yes siree." He replied as he walked out of the throne.
Back the hospital Yusei and his friends were resting. Back in room was the twins. Luna then heard Kuribon making sounds.
"What is it," Luna asked the furry monster. The monster spirit looked out the window. Luna looked out and saw Skull Knight. She then ran over to Leo to wake him up. "Luna what is it?"
Luna explained. After hearing this Leo and his twin sister went to find their friends. The gang got their duel disks.
Yusei and his friends busted the front doors open and saw Skull Knight with two monsters know as Guardian of the Labyrinth and Clown Zombie. Luna and Leo started to shake but knew they had to be brave so they took a deep breath.
"Hmm you must be Yusei." Skull Knight said. "So what if I am," Yusei replied. The new champion then saw Skull Knight activate his duel disk.
Yusei knew wasn't in mood to duel a bit but realized he had no choice so he activate his duel disk.
"Yusei no you can't duel him." Leo called out. "Leo he needs to do this otherwise the other patients that are here might get hurt." Luna said.
"Yusei you can do it!" Akiza said giving her friend encouragement. Yusei nodded.
Yusei: 4000
Skull Knight: 4000
"Let's Duel!" They said.
"I'll go first." Yusei exclaimed drawing his card. Yusei looked at the cards in his hand. "I place a monster face down in defense mode and then I end my turn with two face down cards."
"Ha my draw then." Skull Knight said drawing his card from his deck. "I summon Archfiend Soldier in attack mode!"
Archfiend Soldier: Attack: 1900
"Whoa that things almost got 2000 points!" Leo exclaimed. "Leo stay positive okay." Luna said. "I then activate the spell Shield Crush!"
"Aah!" Yusei gasped. " Yes you see thanks to this if there monster on the field in defense mode it is automanically destroyed." Skull Knight explained.
Yusei's face down monster was crushed by the spell card sending it the card graveyard. "No Yusei is wide open for an attack!" Akiza exclaimed. "Oh my." Mina mumbled.
"(Come on Yusei you need to do better.)" Jack thought. "Now Archfiend Soldier attack Yusei directly!" Skull Knight commanded. The fiend charged right at Yusei.
"Yusei nooo!" Akiza screamed. "Go Scrap Iron Scarecrow!" Yusei proclaimed as his trap then let out the iron scarecrow. "What's this?" SKull Knight asked.
"Allow to explain you see this trap can cancel your monsters attack once per turn and last I can place it face down again." Yusei explained. "Heh looks like I understimated you so I guess I'll end my turn with one face down." Skull Knight said.
"I draw!" Yusei said. The card he drew was his favorite Tuner Monster. "I summon Junk Synchron in attack mode."
Junk Synchron: Attack 1300
"Then I activate it's special ability you see if there's level 2 or below monster in my graveyard it gets special summonded on my side of the field."
SKull Knight just stayed silent. "So come back Shield Wing!"
The Winged Beast appeared from the graveyard. "Then I tune Shield Wing with my Junk Synchron to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior!" Yusei proclaimed as the Synchro monster appeared and ready to battle.
Junk Warrior: Attack 2300
"Next I play the equip spell Junk Barrage now my monster gets power boost." Yusei said. "What kind of power boost?" Skull Knight asked. "You're about to see after my monster attacks." Yusei answered. Junk Warrior smashed Skull Knight's monster with powerful punch.
Skull Knight: 3600
"Now my equip spell activates you see since my Junk Warrior is equipped with Junk Barrage the monster he destroyed half it's attacks inflict half damage to you." Yusei explained
Skull Knight: 2700
"Alright Yusei!" Leo cheered. "Yeah he did damage to Skull Knight." Mina said with a happy smile. "Good job Yusei." Akiza called out. "Hmm." Jack said quietly. Mr and Ms izinski were impressed. "Yeah keep it up Yusei." Luna cheered.
Yusei noticed SKull Knight wasn't flinching but knew now wasn't time to think. "I end my turn."
"My draw then. SKull Knight said. I activate the trap call of the haunted thanks to this card I special summon a monster so I bring back my Archfiend Soldier.
Next I'll summon Ferial Imp in attack mode. Then I play the End of the World spell card!" Skull Knight proclaimed. "What does that do?" Yusei asked.
Thanks to this card I can Ritual Summon by tributing my Ferial Imp and my Archfiend Soldier in order to summon Demise King of Armageddon!" SKull Knight said.
Demise King of Armageddon: Attack 2400
"2400 attacks points?" Akiza exclaimed. "Oh my." Mina gasped. "I have a feeling it's going to get worse." Luna mumbled. "Your freinds are right for I activate it's special ability by giving up 2000 life points my monster can destroy all cards on the field." Skull Knight explained.
"What?" Yusei said.
Skull Knight: 700
The Fiend then destroyed Yusei's Synchro monster and his only trap Scrap Iron Scarecrow. "Oh no!" Akiza yelled. "Yusei is defenseless!" Leo yelled.
"Arrgh." Yusei growled. "Ha now Demise attack Yusei directly!" Skull Knight commanded. The fiend monster charged right at Yusei and whacked him with it's ax.
"Yaah!" Yusei yelled in pain.
Yusei: 1600
"Yusei!" Akiza screamed. "Oh no." Luna said. "No." Mina said. "This is not good." Leo said shaking a little. "I end my turn. Skull Knight said.
"Yusei got nervous but knew he had to win. "Here goes everything." He muttered. He looked at the card he drew and smiled. "I play the spell card Monster Reborn and I'll use it to bring back my Junk Warrior!"
"So what that monster is too weak." Skull Knight said with a grin. "True but I know I activate the spell card I drew know as: Synchro Blast Wave!" Yusei exclaimed.
"What does that do?" Skull Knight asked. "You see I can only activate this card if I have Synchro Monster on my field and since I do your monster is destroyed." The new Champion explained. Skull Knight flinched as his Ritual Monster vanished.
"I'm finished yet I activate the Warrior Returning Alive and I'll use it to bring back Junk Warrior to my hand. Since I special summoned Junk Warrior with Monster Reborn I can summon another monster I choose Junk Warrior." Yusei said.
"Since I summon Junk Warrior I can summon a level two monster from my graveyard I choose Shield Wing in defense mode." Yusei said. Skull Knight was getting nervous.
"Now I tune my Junk Warrior with Junk Synchron to Synchro Summon Stardust Dragon." Yusei proclaimed. The Signers Dragon made it's appearance.
"Man I've never seen a Dragon like that." Skull Knight said. "Now let's finish this Stardust Dragon attack Skull Knight with Cosmic Flare attack!" Yusei commanded.
Stardust Dragon unleashed a comic energy and blasted Skull Knight.
"Aaaah!" Skull Knight screamed.
Skull Knight: 0
"Oh no." Guardian of the Labyrinth said falling on his knees. "He..he..he won." Clown Zombie groaned. Then the two King's monster ran off but soon were stopped by Trudge and Mina. "You may have beating me human but the king will destroy you and your friends!" Skull Knight yelled as he disappeared.
Yusei fall on his knees too. "Yusei are you alright?" Akiza asked as the rest of the group ran over to him. "Yes I'm just tired a little." He replied breathing a little for air.
Akiza was relieved that her friend was okay but knew it may be the time to face the Starlight King. Before she got to speak she then her dad and mom looking determined. "(What are my parents thinking about?)" She thought.
Jack then stepped. "Look Yusei you may have won but right now we must go back to sleep I mean we all need it so we can face the Starlight King and his fiends."
"I think Jack is right I mean Yusei you need to rest after dueling that monster." Mina agreeing with her friends suggesting.
Yusei wanted to face the king but knew they were right. Yusei nodded and then they went to their rooms to rest.
Meanwhile back at the Dark Signers hideout.
"Hmm Yusei just beat a Duel Monster in duel." Kalin said. "So?" Carly said. "So he gotten a bit stronger." Kalin answered.
Roman was a little impressed too. He turned around and saw Misty looking kind of sad or rather she looked like she had a face of guilt. Misty noticed the Dark Signer leader looking at her. She turned her face away.
2 hours later back at the hospital.
Mr Izinski was looking at his own deck. "Hmm I must face the king I mean Yusei is needed to fight these Dark Signers so I'll go face Starlight King and bring back my son back."
His wife heard this as he snuck out of their room.
"Wait darling the king is powerful I think we should let Yusei and others deal with him." She said grabbing her husband's wrist.
"Look I know that but right now I must face the king I mean Yusei and his friends need to beat the Dark Signers in other words if Yusei faces the Starlight King and loses then the world is doomed." Mr Izinski said. Akiza's mother went silent but spoke as she looked into her husband's eyes
"Well I'm going with you then." Ms Izinski said looking determined.
Right after they opened the door Jack, Mina, Luna, Leo, Akiza, Yusei, Trudge, and Yangi were there as if they were waiting for them to come out.
"Oh uh." Mr Izinski stammered. "Look we're all going with you both." Yusei spoke. "Look mom and dad I'm going to help you both save Miles from the darkness that's controling him." Akiza said who was looking determined as well as her parents were.
Akiza's parents looked at them for a second and nodded. Mina then spoke: Hold on I got an idea." Everyone looked at the blue hair woman. Mina then gave her friends her idea. Yusei then walked up to Labyrinth who tied up with Clown Zombie. Then Yusei snatched the Guardian's talking shield. "Okay but if we do make to the King's castle we'll get spotted easily." Leo said.
Luna then heard her friend Kuribon who was looking at big wagon that was parked behind tree's. Luna then ran out main doors. "Luna where are you going?" Akiza asked as she and the others ran after her.
Luna looked around in the wagon. "Hey these are uniforms which might help us." Luna said. "What do you mean?" Yusei asked the female twin. "Well if we disguise ourselves in these armor uniforms we might not get caught so easily." Luna explained. "Very good that might work." Ms Izinski said. Luna continued to look for more uniforms. "hmm there's only nine." Luna said.
"That means only nine of us can go to castle." Leo said. Yusei then spoke: Okay then I have idea too."
"Luna, Leo, and Yanagi as we get to the castle I need you three to watch our back by staying at the main castle doors." Yusei explained. "As for the others and I we'll confront the King."
Luna, Leo, and Yanagi nodded. The young adult duelist's put on the armor uniforms expect for Yanagi and the twins.
The gang then made their way to Starlight King's castle.
