Chapter 11: Finding the Truth
The next morning Mina took Yusei and Akiza to screen to show information on the Arcadia Movement while Miles, Tanner, and Mr Izinski slept.
On the screen was a boy.
"Hold I didn't sign up for all this." He said shaking as some strange machines moved around him. He then played a card that destroyed a beam. Next the boy was on laying on a bed and electric force was covering his body.
"Uh." Akiza gasped looking scared as if the boy was hurting. "Don't worry he's not in any pain the child is actually make that electric static force field with his telekinetic abilties. We found his file in the Arcadia Movement you see Akiza Sayer was a Master Manipulator who would take in duelist with powers like yours and depending on their strength they would stay or disappear. Mina explained.
Akiza was stunned. "(Could it be true was Sayer really doing that to people was Misty telling the truth?)"
Flashback scene.
"I've waited a long time for this ms or whatever you call yourself I want my brother back!" Misty spat.
"Huh your brother I don't know him,. What do you think I do?" Akiza asked.
"Enough lies I want answers and I want them now Ms Akiza your groups of Psychic's the Arcadia Movement stole him." Misty answered.
End of flashback.
"( If was he recruited that means Misty's brother was one of people that vanished.)" Akiza thought.
"I'm sorry Akiza I know this may come to shock but it looks like Sayer was one of the bad guys. You see the true purpose of his Arcadia Movement was an army of Psychic duelist that he could use to try take over the world. You were just a solider he training to fight." Mina explained. "Also here's something else.
Akiza looked at what Mina showed her next. It was her own profile and what Sayer was going to do with her. Akiza was shocked and she ran off.
"You can't run away from the truth we need your help. You have the mark of the dragon and we need your help to beat the Dark Signers please come back!" Mina called. Yusei then walked off.
Akiza was sitting on chair. "(How could you betray me Sayer.)" She thought sadly.
"Akiza." Yusei said quietly. Akiza sniffled. "I can't be mad at Sayer. You see Yusei he took me when no one else would so he used me I guess I used him so I can feel safe, now he's gone and despite what he's done I'm sad."
"I'd be worried if you weren't." Yusei answered. Akiza turned to face new champion. "You have a good heart that's reason my friend and I came to help not because of the Psychic powers it's about who you are as a person there was goodness I felt when we first dueled that's why I wanted you as a friend." Yusei explained.
Akiza smiled. "Now let's find out how we can take out the Dark Signers." Yusei answered with a smile. "Right." Akiza nodded.
The Signers were taken to see Goodwin by Mina. They soon arrived. "Wow Goodwin's mansion is huge and it's probably got it's own zip code." Leo said amazed.
Goodwin then came walking towards the Signers. "Thank you all for coming." He said. "I've waited a long time for this moment. The four Signers standing here together and it is great honor to see you all. I'm at your service."
"Right the only thing you served is a Tennis Ball." Jack said rudely.
"Jack is right Goodwin played us from very the beginning and he threaten your friends in the Satellite just to make you duel in the Fortune Cup to see if you were a Signer." Akiza whispered. "You're right for what he did but he's only one know what's happening and for everything that a stake I must give him a second chance and he also might have a plan so we got to trust him." Yusei said.
"Well since you've put that way you can count me in." Akiza replied smiling. "I'm glad I got your support. Yusei answered. Leo approach Goodwin. "So why did you invite us here, are you giving us super dueling deck?" Leo asked. "I don't recall inviting you." Goodwin said. "Well uh.." Leo said. "I'm afraid there's no super dueling decks so you should go home now." The Director said. Leo sighed but Luna then stepped in. "Signer or not he's my brother so he stays." Luna said defending her brother.
Goodwin groaned. "Just no pets"
"We'll both save the world." Luna proclaimed.
"Anyway let's go in." Goodwin said walking back into mansion.
"Where are we going Mr Goodwin." Luna asked. "To a very special room that can give you all the answers." Goodwin replied. "Last I was here I was left with more questions than answers." Jack said. "Heh I see you didn't lose your sense of humor after you lost your championship title." Goodwin joked.
They came to big room and glowing bright red light "What is this place?" Yusei asked. "This my friends is the stairway to Crimson Dragon." Goodwin answered. Akiza noticed there was a big shape on the floor. "Hey are those Dragon's marks?" She asked the Director. "Yes is the symbol binds you all." The Director.
'Look Goodwin explain more of this." Jack said demanding answers. "Very well then." The Director said.
Back at the hospital.
Mrs. Izinski continued to watch Tanner, her husband, and Miles. She then noticed Trudge looking at Tails dueling deck. "What are you doing officer?" The long ruby hair woman asked. "Look at these cards." He replied handing Mrs Izinski the deck. She looked at them for a second. Then she noticed the Super Polymerization card. "This fusion card is not like I've ever seen." Mrs Izinski said. "Yeah that fusion card is powerful which makes me wonder how he found a card like that." Trudge said with his hand under his chin. "Other than that those new cards Star Space Monsters that Miles used was more powerful." Yanagi spoke.
Tanner and Mr Izinski began to woke up. Trudge noticed this. "Hey Mrs Izinski, and Yanagi!" He called out. The two adults came over to see what was going on. "Oh where am I?" Tanner asked. "Oh my head." Mr Izinski groaned with his hand on his head. "Oh dear you're okay." Mrs Izinski said hugging her husband.
Then adults noticed Miles Tails Fox didn't wake up. "Why hasn't my boy up yet?" Mrs Izinski asked.
Miles was dreaming. He saw himself in a white armor dueling Tanner and his dad. "(Oh my what's going on?)" He thought. Then he saw how much he was hurting them with some new cards. "(Tanner and dad what have I done!)" He yelled. Miles then woke up. "Whoa whoa Miles it's okay you were dreaming." Mr Izinski said. Tails began to breathe heavily then noticed Akiza wasn't around. "Where my sister," He asked. His mom and dad explained where Akiza was.
"She's okay then?" He asked. They nodded. "Alright then but why am I in a hospital?" Miles asked. He then remembered his dream. "Oh my so that dream was real." He said shaking. "Easy kid you were the Starlight King's puppet in other words the Darkness in you took control." Yanagi explained. "But I let it take over because I was weak." Miles replied sadly. 'Look right now son you should rest some more and wait for Akiza and others to return. Mr Izinski said.
Back at Goodwin's Mansion.
Goodwin was done explaining. The gang was just about to leave but was stopped by Goodwin." Look Signers there something else you should know."
The Signers turned around. "The Dark Signers never lost unlike those duelists you and Jack face in might be impossible to win." Goodwin said as the gang gasped. "Why are you telling us that." Yusei said shaking. "Oh no." Akiza said. "If the worlds going to end I may as well be cruising on my Runner." Jack said.
"Look everyone I'm not saying there hope but I wanted to be honest there was three duels with true Dark Signers understand we nearly lost them cause they have the most powerful monsters ever." Goodwin explained. "So for now think about it and let me know what your choice is but be quick I'm afraid we don't' have much time left." Goodwin said as he walked out of the room.
Few hours later.
Yusei was out on the balcony thinking about what Goodwin said. Akiza and Luna were in a living room. "Hey Luna are you having second thoughts fighting the army of shadows?" Akiza asked. "No I need to save a friend and maybe fighting the Dark Signers might be only way to this friend." The female twin replied. Yusei then came inside. "Oh Yusei what to have a pratice duel." Luna said. "Not right now." He said walking away.
Yusei was sitting on bench until Jack showed up. "Yusei you need to be strong."
"I know but Kalin is a Dark Signer so I'm not sure if I can do this." He said shaking but then Jack grabbed him. "Come on Yusei pull yourself together!" Jack shouted punching his stomach.
Akiza was in garden. Thinking about her chat with her mom and dad. "Look I'm going to go with Yusei and other to face the Dark Signers."
"But Akiza." The mother said. "Look dear I'm sure she'll be alright and Akiza we believe in you." The dad said. "Oh should Miles go with you too?" Mr Izinski asked. Akiza turned around for minute. "I'll leave that up to him." She answered. "Well if Miles leaves with you and others I'm sure you and Miles will be alright." Akiza's dad said.
Meanwhile Yusei was groaning in pain after Jack punched him. "Hey what was that for?!" Yusei spat. "What does look you dolt I'm trying to talk some sense into you!" Jack shouted punching him again causing him to fall.
"Look Yusei Kalin is our friend but you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself." The former champion said.
In at Dining Room Leo started to eat. Luna then approached. "Hey Leo we ate breakfast an hour ago." She called out. "These small sandwiches are tasty." Leo said eating the sandwiches. "Oh Leo come on be serious for once." Luna said sighing. "We need to be prepared so I suggest you get ready to go to the Satellite." Luna said in serious tone.
"I'm not going." Leo replied. "What?" Luna said turning around. "What's point I'm not a Signer." Leo muttered looking sad. "Look I can't do this without you." Luna sobbed. "Even though you're not Signer we need you." Luna said still sobbing.
Back at outside. "Jack you're right I must be strong." Yusei said. "Good." Jack muttered not looking at him.
Akiza and the twins approached them. "So are you two ready?" Akiza asked. Yusei and Jack nodded.
Mr. Goodwin driving them back to the city. Akiza then spoke: Wait Goodwin I need to stop at the hospital." What for?" Goodwin asked. "Look I have no time to explain so just drive to hospital. The Black Rose said.
Goodwin sighed but he did what she wanted. Yusei and the gang were just about get out of the limo but Akiza stopped them. "I suggest you all stay here while I talk to my brother." Akiza said
20 minutes later. Akiza and Miles came out. Goodwin was confused and then got out of his car. "Who are you?" He asked. "I'm Akiza's brother and I decided to fight help my friends." Miles said looking tough. "Goodwin believe it or not my brother has a power that you've might've seen on TV." Akiza said. Goodwin was confused but then remembered the castle. "So you're the Starlight King." He said. "Yes sir." Miles replied.
"I suppose if you're up to face the Dark Signers you may come along." Goodwin said. "I am ready to face these Dark Signers especially one that betrayed me." Tails said as his eyes glowed red. Goodwin and Akiza noticed this but others didn't. Goodwin spoke: Very well then you may come along."
Tails then got into the limo and drove with is friends to harbor. "Everyone Trudge will be the one taking you to Satellite in this helicopter." Goodwin said. Trudge was about to speak until he saw Mina. "Oh Mina are you coming too?" He asked the blue haired woman. "Why yes I am." She replied. Trudge blushed.
"Look everyone you must beat the Dark Signers and then the world will be saved but be careful." Goodwin said. "Goodwin I want you to finish the bridge people have the right to be free and unless you agree I won't go." Yusei. "Look it maybe impossible to do that." Goodwin said. Why?" Yusei asked. "For years the people of the Satellite and city lived far apart it a way of life that everyone accepts change takes time." Goodwin explained.
"Then you'll have to find a sixth Signer cause unless you do then you're one short of a Deck." Yusei said looking serious.
Goodwin sighed. "Very well I'll build the bridge."
"Come on let's go!" Trudge called out. Miles began to think about his talk with Akiza back at the hospital.
flashback
"Akiza I"m not Signer you know." Miles said. "I know bro but now we need your help." Akiza said. Tanner then stepped in.
"Miles you won't like what I"m going to tell you but Starlight King is still inside of you in other words you and the king are on both sides of the same coin." Tanner said. "No way." Tails said shaking. Tanner grabbed Tails arm. "Look kid you're feel bad what you did well then this your chance to do something. A chance to make up for what you did sure the King inside of you is strong and powerful but if you learn to control it then that power is yours." Tanner explained. "I can't do it guys." He said continuing to shake.
"You're not getting at what I"m saying you are the Starlight King like it or not." Tanner said in serious voice. "Look I didn't mean to grab your arm like that I'm just trying to help you." He said realizing that he was hard on Miles. "Miles we need to leave so decide." Akiza said. Miles was silent for a second. "In that case I'm going to help you all." He replied.
Akiza, Yanagi, and Tanner smiled.

The gang then walked into the helicopter and flew away to face the Dark Signers. Tanner and Yanagi waved goodbye as they watche their friends leave.
