Chapter 13: Mark of the Spider Part 1

Martha told the gang that she would make some food for them before they sent out to save the world. Trudge was outside looking around until then he came towards red flowers.

He blushed as he began to think about Mina. "(I'm sure Mina would like this.)" He thought with smile.

He turned around and saw a boy who was same kid who asked him if he was Sector Security. "Uh what do you want now?" He asked.

The boy just started at him. Trudge was getting weird out so he walked away. Then he noticed Mina was with Jack. "Hmm what's Mina doing with the ex-champion," He mumbled. "Umm Jack I've realized that you've been grumpy lately actually more grumpy that you've been before." Mina said looking at the ground.

"So what if I am." He spat. Mina then noticed Jack holding Carly's glasses. She realized what must on Jack's mind. "Oh I get it you're worried about Carly." She said.

Mina was quiet for a second but she spoke again: Uh Jack I love you." Trudge gasped quietly. "Sure you do but right now I need to find out what happened to Carly. Jack replied.

Trudge was heartbroken until he turned around and noticed the boy again. He turned his away from the boy. Martha then grabbed his ear. "Come on I need your help to make dinner for Yusei's and his friends." "Sir my name is Taka and I think Sector Security is amazing." The boy said.

Trudge helped Martha and Taka with Dinner and then they cleaned the bathrooms. "Hey Martha do you treats guest like this all time?" He asked the black haired lady. "Has acting and helping people take your minds off of things Trudge?" She asked. "Look the best to deal with a broken heart is to stop dwelling, get out of your head, and make yourself useful." Also here Satellite we had to become very good finding ways to deal with Sadness and loss. Plus there Taka when he lost his home to a fire Sector Security helped him help out therefore he never forgot their kindness so he decided to become Sector Security himself that's how he deals his sadness to try and be helpful. Martha explained.

Trudge was astonished. "Hmm so that's why he keeps following me." Trudge then gasped. "Martha but the rules say people from the Satellite can't become Security."

Martha smiled. "In this crazy world nothing is impossible. "Hey Trudge and Martha I'm done. Taka said with smile. "(I hope she's right because we'll need all Security we need.)" He thought.

Soon dinner was ready. Few kids ate the food. One girl called out. "Hey this is delicious." "Trudge helped me so thank him." Taka said looking at the officer

"Hey mister this food is good." a boy said smiling. "This officer is nice." Said another girl. Trudge was flattered. He then ate some food and he did he made a funny face. "Oh it's too spicy."

Everyone laughed. Yusei then told his friends that Goodwin will finish the bridge. Everyone looked at him. "That bridge will bring everyone together, it will be a symbol of a new world and then you all can become anything you want."

The gang was silent. "Well I sure hope you're right. Taka said looking determine. "(If that bridge built then Taka might become Security and I might be worthy to Mina.)" He thought looking at Mina. She noticed him looking at her.

Trudge turned away nervously.

Suddenly lighting struck next the house and shattered a window. Everyone gasped. "Oh my is everyone alright?" Martha asked.

They heard a laugh. Yusei looked out the window. "Who are you?" The laugh came from a man. "Hey there Yusei my name is Roman and I bare the Mark of the Spider." He said showing his mark that was on his right arm. Yusei gasped. He remembered that symbol. It was the same one that was in the vision he saw with Jack.

"I heard four Signers were here in the Satellite so I figured I should come here say hello but of course we Dark Signers of a way of saying hello." He chuckled as he raised his left arm which a duel disk. Jack walked towards the man but Yusei stopped.

"Jack we can't risk dueling him here cause if he summons an Earthbound Immortal our friends will be absorb into it." He explained. "So Jack I want you watch over the others."

Jack did what Yusei said. "Hey Roman if you want to duel follow me." Yusei called out. "Heh very well then." Roman chuckled. Yusei got his duel disk. "Wait I'm coming with you I mean you might need some support." Akiza said. Yusei nodded. "So are we." Akiza and Yusei turned around and saw Miles, Cosmo, and Shadow. Yusei knew they weren't Signers. "Very well but be careful." He said. Team Heroes nodded. Yusei and his friends then ran off.

The gang began to walk down the hallway expect for three boys. "Ok you guys we need to help Yusei I mean that Roman guy took Crow and the others" Taka said. His friends nodded and ran off.

Yusei, Akiza, Miles. Shadow, Cosmo, and Roman came to a opening space.

Yusei and Roman activated their duel disks.

"Duel!" They proclaimed.

Yusei: 4000

Roman: 4000

Martha then told her kids to hide in room. "Hey Martha Taka is not with us." A girl said. "Neither are John and Mitch." The other girl answered.

Martha gasped and ran out the door. She saw the Spider mark in the sky and ran off. "Hey Martha wait." Jack called. "I'm on it." Trudge said running after the black haired lady.

Meanwhile Yusei's Duel with Roman was beginning.

"I draw Roman." He said drawing his card. "I summon Shield Wing in defense mode."

Sheild Wing: Defense 900

"I end my turn." Yusei said.

"I draw then." Roman said. "Therefore I activate the Spider Web Field Spell!" He proclaimed. "This might get sticky." Yusei muttered. "Heh you have no idea and therefore I activate the Spider Cocoon and the reason I'm able to special summon this creature is because my field is empty next I play Dark Spider." Roman said.

Dark Spider: Attack 0

"Now I activate Dark Spider's ability you see it can increase an Incest Monster's level that's on my field.

Spider Cocoon: Level 5+7

I dark tune my Spider Cocoon with my Dark Spider to summon Underground Arachnid.

Underground Arachnid: Attack 2400

"Oh great another Incest duel. Yusei groaned. "Well my Shield Wing won't be destroy that easily Roman you see my monster can stop your monsters attack twice."

"Heh I already know that so I activate it's special ability you see once per turn my Monster can take one of your monsters and use as an equip card to gain more power. Roman explained. Yusei gasped in shock.

"Since you're defenseless Arachnid attack Yusei directly!" Roman commanded. The Spider creature fired a web right towards Yusei sending him flying into the air and knocking him down.

"Yaah!" He screamed. "Oh no!" Akiza screamed. "Hmm I end my turn with one face down card." Roman said.

Nearby Taka and his friends were running. Taka noticed a door that was opened. "Hey guys follow me here." He said. But Mitch and John didn't hear him.

"My move then I draw. Yusei said. "I Summon the Tuner Monster Road Synchron!"

Road Synchron: Attack 1600

"Next I activate the spell One for One by sending one monster from my hand to graveyard can I summon a weaker monster from my hand.

Tuning Supporter: Attack 100

Also if there's a Tuner Monster on my field I can special summon Quill Hedgehog from my graveyard.

Quill Hedgehog: Attack: 800

"Then I activate the Tuning Supporters ability you see when this card is used for a Synchro Summon it's level increases.

Tuning Supporter: Level 2

"That only mean one thing." Akiza said. "I'll tune my Road Synchron with Quill Bolt Hedgehog and Tuning Supporter to Sychron Summon Road Fighter!" Yusei proclaimed.

Road Fighter: Attack 3000

"Whoa 3000 attack points!" Akiza said astonished. Roman just stayed silent with smirk. "Now Road Figher attack Roman's Underground Arachnid go Lighting Claw!" Yusei commanded. The warrior slashed the spider monster.

"Arrgh." Roman groaned.

Roman: 3400

"Alright Yusei!" Akiza cheered. As the smoke cleared from Road Fighters attack. Underground Arachnid wasn't destroyed. "What just happened." Yusei asked.

"Underground Arachnid used your Shield Wing to block your Road Fighter's attack in order to save itself and it gets worse you see due to the effect of the Spider Web field spell your warrior is switched to defense mode and stuck that way until your next turn." Roman explained.

"Uh oh." Yusei said backing off. "When my next turn begins my Arachnid can take your Road Fighter which means your field will be empty then when you take my direct attack you'll dance the dance of doom." Roman said.

"Thing is I don't dance so I activate Road Fighter's ability once a turn I can summon a level 2 or below monster from my deck and I choose Turbo Booster."

Turbo Booster: Attack: 0

"This one is for you Rally." He said to himself. "I activate Turbo Booster's ability by releasing this card I can destroy your Underground Arachnid!" He explained. "Go Twin Fist of Fury!

The machine monster launched it's two arms into Roman's Spider and destroy it. "Alright Yuesi good job." Akiza said. "Hey Yusei!" A voice called. Yusei and Akiza turned around. "Oh no." Yusei said.

"Oh dear what you kids doing here?" Akiza said. She notice the two boys were too close to the dark barrier. "Hey you boys don't come too close." She warned. Mitch and John were confused.

"It's too late for your friends so I activate the Altar of the Bound Deity. Now during each of my Standby phases for every monster in defense mode this card gets Earth Bound Immortal Counter and when this card has four counters it will grant me the power summon an Earthbound Immortal from my deck." Roman explained.

"What?" Yusei said looking worried. "Oh no if Roman summons Earthbound Immortal those boys will be absorb." Akiza said. Mitch and John started to shake. "This not good." Cosmo said. "You're right about that." Shadow spoke.

Miles growled as his eyes glowed red.

Meanwhile Martha and Trudge were running through the Satellite. In a building Taka was looking for his friends. "Hmm where are those guys," He asked as he continued to looked around.

"Remember Yusei this Shadow Duel can only be stopped if one of us suffers defeat." Roman said. "Arrgh I must end this duel fast cause if Roman summons an Earthbound Immortal Mitch and John will be gone." He thought.

"(Also I wonder what kind of power Cosmo has she and Shadow weren't absorb by that fog which concerns me if their power is strong enough.)"He said to himself. Yusei then looked back at Roman and began to glare at him.

"I will win this duel no matter how it takes." He said.
