chapter 15: The Battle Begins

Yusei and his friends glared at the Dark Signers. "Heh heh heh look fate has brought us all together Signer and Dark Signer." Roman said with chuckle.

"Hey you little girl with the green hair." A man said. Luna looks towards the man. "Hey does this card look familiar?" He asked. Luna looked at it. "Oh that's Ancient Fairy Dragon!" Luna exclaimed. "Heh heh other that I"m Devak and I bare the mark of the Monkey." He said showing his Dark Signer mark.

"Anyway let's meet at the four stars of destiny, the end will be decided there." Roman said as he and other Dark Signers began walked away.

Jack then noticed one of Dark Signers looked familiar.

"Hey where you going, don't you walk away from me Roman!" Yusei yelled as he ran off and so did Jack. "Hey Yusei come back!" Akiza called. "Jack where are you going?" Mina asked.

Yusei looked around. "Hey Roman come back here!"

"Heh don't be so impatient Yusei we're not suppose to Duel here!" Roman voice said. "What do you mean are you scared?" Yusei asked. "Of course not just meet us up at the four stars of destiny." Roman's voice said. "ROMAN COME OUT AND DUEL ME!" Yusei shouted.

Jack managed to catch up with one of the Dark Signers. "Hey you why do you look so familiar?" He asked as he grabbed her hoody. Jack looked closely and realized the Dark Signer was Carly Carmine. "What happened to you?" The ex-champion asked.

Carly put her hoody back on. "Look Jack if you want to know then come find me tomorrow goodbye Jack." She said as some tears fell out of her eyes.

Few minutes later the group was back Martha's place. Mitch, John, and Taka were crying about Martha's fate. "Its our fault if we didn't leave our home Martha would still be here!" Taka cried. "No its my fault I should've helped her when I had the chance" Trudge said falling on his knees.

"Come you dolts its not your fault!" Jack said. "He's right its the Dark Signers fault but I'm sure if we defeat them we can bring everyone back." Yusei said. The group gasped at Yusei's words. "Wait what makes you think that we can bring Martha and rest of the gang back?" Dr Schmidt asked.

"Everything that's happened here and New Domino City was the of an evil power. The Destruction of cities, the Mystical Symbols appearing, the crazy light erupting from the deep of the earth and mysterious fog that covered everthing. Meaning that the Dark Signers are using human souls to gain more power." Yusei explained.

"Hmm I see if you defeat the Dark Signers everything goes back to normal." Dr Schmidt said. Yusei nodded. "Everyone we must work together if we're going to beat the Dark Signers." His friends nodded.

Later the kids were sent to bed. "Wait before we leave I have to say something." Mina said. "You see these Ener-D rectors that Goodwin spoke of can be activated by the Dragon cards Yusei, Jack, and Akiza have and you Luna must get Acient Fairy Dragon back from Devak.

"How do you know that?" Yusei asked. "Dr Fudo entrusted those to Director Goodwin." Mina replied. "What, does that mean Roman lied to me about my dad looking the other way?" Yusei asked with shock.

(flashback)

"Why did professor Fudo have the control cards, was he the one that caused the Rector to go wild?" Mina asked. "No just the opposite he tried to save them and he did everything he could to stop the Rector but he did manage to save three cards and hand them off to me." Goodwin explained.

end of flashback.

"Mina did Goodwin say anything else about my dad?" Yusei asked. "No that's all he said." Mina replied. "Okay but if Goodwin had those cards how did Yusei, Akiza, and Jack get them? Blister asked.

(another flashback)

"You might say I released the cards into the wild,I wanted to test the powers of destiny, I wanted them travel to Duelist to Duelist meaning that if destiny is at work it would eventually put in the hands of the Signers and sure enough the very cards used to power the originally Rector control units so many years ago. Therefore Yusei has Stardust Dragon, Jack has Red Dragon Archfiend, and Akiza has Black Rose Dragon meaning destiny is guiding us. The Signers will reverse the flow of negative energy and battle the Dark Signers." Goodwin explained.

End of flashback

"Now that Goodwin has does his part it's time for you all Signers to duel the Dark Signers." Mina said. She then took out of map. "here's the locations." Mina said as she pointed them out. "Hmm those marks are pretty spread out." Miles said. "That means we just go to them one by one but it would take too long." Shadow said. "He's right which means we're going to have to go to have separate. Jack said. "Right so I'm sure that Mark of the Giant is Kalin's so I'll go there." He said. Cosmon and Shadow approached him. "Is something wrong with you both?" He asked. "We'll go with you two because you might need us just in case." Shadow said. "he's right after all we're friends." Cosmo said with smile. "Very well then." Yusei answered.

"The Lizard is Misty's mark I'll head over to that station." Akiza said. "I'll go too." Miles said. "So will I." Slippy said. Akiza wasn't sure about this but she nodded which means she was going to let them come along with her. "I'll take you and your friends in my car." Mina said. The three duelists nodded.

"Devak has Monkey and I have to get Ancient Fairy Dragon so I'm going to take him on." Luna said. "I'll come along so I can root for you." Leo said. "The Hummingbird must belong.." Jack mumbled. "Hey Luna and Leo I'll give you both a ride." Trudge said looking at the twins. The twins smiled.

The next morning they got into their vehicles. "Alright everyone let's go and do our best to beat the Dark Signers." Yusei said.

They all nodded and drove off to their locations.
