Chapter 16: A Whale of a Ride Part 2
"That quite the ship Greiger but it's too bad I'm going to sink it with all your life points." Crow joked. "Oh please you're not going to sink anything of mine see with the power of my Deep Sea Rescue I can add a couple of reinforces from my deck and speaking of I activate my Dark Flat Top's special ability you see I can bring back my Flying Fortress Sky fire back from the graveyard once per turn." Greiger said.
"Oh man but I just took that thing out this." Crow groaned. "(That means you're going to have to take down again unless you destroy Greiger's Flat Top.)" Yusei thought.
"Welcome back Flying Fortress Sky Fire!" Greiger proclaimed.
Flying Fortress Sky Fire: Attack 3000
"Oh dear Crow better be careful." Cosmo said.
"Nice but that hunk of junk is about to get grounded." Crow said. "How do you plan to do that with one monster if you remember by sending card from my hand to graveyard I destroy your Blackwing Armor Master."
Flying Fortress fired it's cannons at Armor Master and destroyed. Crow growled. "Now I'll have my Sky Fire attack your Gale the Whirlwind so looks like the one getting grounded is you." Greiger said.
Flying Fortress fired missiles at Gale the Whirlwind causing a explosion which caused Crow's Runner spinning around and falling to the ground.
"Oh no!" Yusei exclaimed. "Crow!" Cosmo cried. "Uh oh." Shadow muttered.
Crow: 900
"Hey are you alright?" Yusei asked.
Crow struggled and groaning in pain. "Heh don't bother getting up your Duel Runner is down for the count and so are you." Greiger said grinning.
Yusei was about to get off his Runner when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Shadow's hand. "Yusei if you help Crow then he'll lose." He said. "But.." Yusei was about say until he heard Crow. "Shadow's right I'll be okay."
"Well from the way I'm seeing I say neither is winning." Greiger mocked. "You wish Greiger I'm not going down that easy cause I got too...too...much.." Crow stopped as he fell next to his Duel Runner. "To fight for." He said struggling. "I owe to the kids meaning I'm not going to give up cause you're going to pay!"
"Ha well you can try and collect." Greiger chuckled. "Crow but your Runner.." Yusei said. "Yusei my Duel Runner is fine it maybe down but it's not out." Crow said as his Runner's engine started and drove next to him. "How touching but if I were you I'd stay down." Greiger said. "Well lucky for my friends you're not me, shall we continue our Turbo Duel?" Crow asked.
"Yes we shall!" Greiger said as he drove off along with Yusei, Cosmo, and Shadow. "(I thought you would've given up by now but I should've known you'd never back down since we're both fighting for the memories our friends and family although we grew up in different places we both shared a common goal like you I hoped that dueling would provide an out to the life that went to my family then I figured if I shared my knowledge of dueling with those close to me someday their dreams of a better life would come true but because of Goodwin their dreams vanished along with their home.)" He thought sadly.
He opened his eyes. "I place one card face down and end my turn now it's your move."
Crow groaned in pain. "(Move? I can barely breathe I think that fall also did some damage to me other than my Runner.)" He thought. "Looks like I'm up."
"(But I might not be for long unless I figure a way to takedown his Flying Fortress Sky Fire cause of shape I'm in right now if it attacks me I won't be able to keep fighting." Crow thought.
"Sounds like Crow is more hurt that he's letting on.)" Yusei thought looking at his friend with worry. "I'll end my turn with a face down." Crow said.
"Is that all?" Greiger said drawing his card. "Looks like someone is afraid to attack."
"Too scared to attack well why not one of my face down cards destroy everyone of your monsters for me." Crow said. "(Little does Crow know that I always got a backup plan and this move should help me put my plan into perfect policy play.)" Greiger said smiling. "I send a card from hand to graveyard in order activate my Sky Fire's ability and destroy one of your cards so I choose the card on the left."
Sky Fire fired it's cannons at Crow's left facedown card which was Fake Feather. "Oh so close that all your monsters are going to be total destroyed."
"The only thing being destroyed is the last of your life points cause you only have one facedown protecting you and that doesn't scare me a bit therefore this is end of the road." Greiger said.
"This is the end of nothing." Crow said smiling. "Okay Sky Fire attack and send Crow to the netherworld!" Greiger commanded.
"I activate my trap Blackwing Back Flash since I got at least five Blackwings in my graveyard this card destroys all your monsters just like I said it would." Crow explained. His Trap fired Blackwing monsters at Greiger's monsters causing to fall and exploded.
"How could you?" Greiger asked. "Heh I couldn't have to destroyed your monsters without your help." Crow replied. "so this is my own doing?" The black man asked. "That's right you got no one to blame for the situation you're in now and maybe next time you won't underestimate the power of my deck." Crow said.
"Ha it's funny how you should say that cause that's what I was thinking when I send this to the graveyard." Greiger said who seemed calmed. "Send what to the graveyard?" Crow asked.
"A monster that's let's me draw one card from my deck and now I activate the trap Contaminated Earth due to this card's effect when I at least have two level 5 or above monsters in my graveyard I summon an Earthbound Immortal." Greiger explained.
"An Earthbound Immortal?" Crow said with confuse tone in his voice.
"This is not good." Cosmo said looking worried.
"Hmm." Shadow said.
"Crow be careful!" Yusei called out.
The Immortal's heart summoned and then strange souls were sucked into the heart. "Crow your future will be cloaked in eternal darkness!" Greiger proclaimed. The Immortal's heart disappeared. "Now come forth Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua!"
Chacu Challhua: Attack 2900
"That thing is powerful so Crow better careful." Shadow said. "I draw then." Crow said. "(Before I make a move I must assent the situation Greiger's got more life points and giant whale so I got to find a way to sink that thing before it's swallows me whole.)" He thought.
"I summon Blackwing the Steel Chain!" Crow said summoning his blackwing creature.
Blackwing the Steel Chain: Attack 500
"Hmm if that's all you can attack with then pull over and end this duel." Greiger said with grin. "I'm not stopping for anything got that, in face I'm coming straight for you now Blackwing the Steel Chain attack Grieger directly!" Crow said."
Blackwing monster fired chains at Greiger.
Greiger: 1300
'Impressive move but that's the last move you'll ever make." Greiger said evilly. "Don't think so it's time for part two of my attack." Crow said. "What do you mean?" Greiger asked.
"I mean there's more to that move than meets the eye you see when my Steel Chain attacked you directly it can switch your whale into defense mode." Crow explained.
Chacu Challhua: Defense 1600
"Now your whale couldn't hurt a fly let alone my Blackwing." Crow joked. "Nice move Crow." Yusei said. "Whew if that whale attacked Crow then he would've lost the duel when Greiger's next turn began." Cosmo said.
"(Maybe but Greiger doesn't seem phased.)" Shadow thought. "Now I end my turn with a facedown." Crow said.
'It's my move then!" Greiger said drawing his next card. "Now you may have stopped my beast from attacking but whoever said in needed to be in attack mode to deal out damage my Immortal can't be stopped so I activate Chacu Challhua's ability you see which means it can deal you damage to half of it's defense points." Greiger explained.
The killer whale came swimming towards Crow. "This wasn't part of my plan." He said he got hit by Immortal's top fin.
"Hang on." Yusei said.
Cosmo gasped.
Shadow's eyes widen a bit.
Crow: 100
"I summon Dark Sea rescue in attack mode." Greiger said summoning his creature.
Dark Sea Rescue: Attack 0
"Now I trigger the trap Basara due this cards effect by release one of my monsters I can destroy one of your monsters whose level is higher and not only that but you take 800 points of damage." Greiger explained.
Greiger's trap took Dark Sea Rescue and turned into a stream of fire which was firing towards Crow's Blackwing monster. "Uh oh." Crow said. "If Crow's monster is destroyed he's done for."
Meanwhile Trudge and the twins were still driving around the arena. "Man we must've searched everywhere and still no sign on whose dueling." Leo said. "Well judging from this purple wall I say we must be on the safe side." Trudge said.
"(Yusei, Cosmo, and Shadow please be okay.)" Luna though in worried tone.
"Crow if you don't save your monster you're done for!" Shadow called out. "I'm on it I activate Explosion Guard which not only protects my card from your trap's effect you take 500 points of damage." Crow explained.
Explosion Guard stopped Grieger's trap.
Greiger: 800
"This pest is really started to get under my skin." Greiger muttered.
"Whew that was close one." Cosmo said sighing in relief.
"Now it all comes down to this I've got only one trap in my hand therefore I can't give up I owe it to the kids here's goes everything.)" He thought as he draw his card. He looked at what he drew and smiled.
"Just what I was hoping for so first I place a facedown and summon Blackwing Blizzard the Far North!" Crow said.
Blackwing Blizzard the Far North: attack 1300
"Next I activate my Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame ability which let me summons it back from my graveyard defense mode."
Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame: Defense 1200
"Next I tune my Blackwing Blizzard the Far North with my Blackwing Shura the Blue Flame and Blackwing the Steel Chain in order to Synchro Summon Blackwing Silverwind the Ascendant!" Crow proclaimed.
Blackwing Silverwind the Ascendant: Attack 2800
"That's quite the beast it's too bad my Immortal's ability will be keeping your monster on the sideline." Greiger said. "Fine by me cause that allows to counter with special ability that Blackwing has since my monster couldn't battle this turn it destroy up to two monsters whose defense are lower that my Silverwinds attack points." Crow explained.
"Then that means." Greiger said getting worried.
"It means that your Immortal is history and this Shadow duel is about to come to an end." Crow said. "Now Silverwind destroy his immortal!"
Silverwind was just about too when two kids appeared and called out.
"Please help!" a boy said.
"You mustn't do this!" A girl cried.
"Who are they?" Crow asked.
Then more kids appeared from the Immortal's belly.
"Please help us get back to our village!" They begged.
"What do you mean village?" Crow asked. Cosmo, Yusei and Shadow noticed the kids and gasped.
Greiger didn't though so he drove closer to Crow. "Enough stalling if you're not going to finish your move then allow me to."
"Don't you see those kids up there?" Crow asked. "All I see the finishing line Crow." Greiger replied.
"But Greiger.."Crow was stopped by Greiger's voice. "But nothing!
"Greiger look up now please!" Cosmo said. Greiger growled but did what Cosmo said. "Greiger it's us please help!" The kids called out. Greiger gasped. "How..how can be?" He asked.
"Hey does know those people?" Shadow asked. "There's only one way to be certain, is that your family?" Yusei asked. "Yes those are my brother, sister and people from my village which means it wasn't Crimson Dragon it was the Dark Signers who took everyone away from me." Greiger said.
"So the Dark Signers are responsible for everything for that happened to you, your family and friends." Yusei said. "Yes and here I was blaming you and Goodwin." Greiger said as he went silent.
"Greiger now that you figured out the truth you have stop this duel!" Cosmo said. "Yusei, Cosmo, Shadow, and Crow I'm sorry I"ll forfeit this so that.. He stopped and heard a voice. "You'll forfeit nothing this is nothing but a Signer trick send them to Netherworld and show no mercy."
Greiger opened eyes and glowed.
I'm afraid your treachery won't stop me sending you and those loyal to you to the Netherworld!"Greiger said whose voice sounds different. "Come on Greiger!" Crow called out.
"Argh get out of my head whoever you are!" Greiger said struggling to fight the darkness. "Please Crow end this duel it's the only way to save my friends and family."
"Are you sure?" Crow asked.
Greiger's eyes glowed again. "Not exactly so I'll end this duel by switching my Immortal from Defense to attack mode."
Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua: Attack 2900
"Oh man Greiger's going to attack!" Cosmo said.
"Now Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua attack!" Greiger commanded. "NO! Crow screamed. "Come on you can win I know you can!" Cosmo said. "(Right I have one more facedown card which can save me.)" Crow thought.
"I activate the trap Parasite Mind which lets me gain control of trap on your field and activate it's effect so I choose your trap card Basara." Crow explained. "Now I know how this card works and what the damage it can dish out but I bet you didn't know your Immortal's undoing is going to be your downfall."
Crow's trap activated Greiger's trap like last time it created stream of fiery energy which fired right at the Immortal. The Immortal was hit as it roared in pain and then Greiger's family were released.
The Immortal then fall into the water and crash into a nearby building. "Aaaah!' Greiger screamed.
Greiger: 0
The duel was over. "I won." Crow said. Then he noticed some rumble was about to fall on him but just then Greiger moved him out of the way and let the rumble fall on him instead.
"Greiger!" Yusei called out.
"Oh no." Cosmo said.
"Hey are you okay?" Yusei asked. "I'm fine. He said groaning a bit. "Crow you're safe now." Greiger said as he faced Crow. "What did you do that?" Crow asked. "You risked your life so you can save my family and get them home safely." Greiger explained.
Crow eyes got teary a bit. "Yusei, Cosmo, Crow, and Shadow you all stay strong and continue what you all started defeat the Dark Signers so that everyone of your friend and family can return home." Greiger said as his eyes grew dim.
"You can count on us." Crow said.
"Right we'll fight all together." Yusei said.
"Hmm I'll will keep fighting too." Shadow said.
"So will I." Cosmo said nodding.
"My friends good luck." Greiger said as he disappeared. "Mark my word we'll keep fighting until the Dark Signers are defeated!" Yusei said.
Meanwhile back the Greiger's homeland his brother, sister, and rest of his people appeared. "Hey sis have we been saved?" The boy asked. His sister looked around. "I think we have." She replied her brother's words.
They all cheered. Greiger's siblings noticed a shooting star. "Hey sis shooting star, do you think Greiger can see too?" He asked. "I'm sure he can." The girl said smiling.
Yusei and his friends reunited and made their way to see Kalin.
