Chapter 27: Truth and Consequences Part 1
In the ocean near New Domino City a mysterious man wearing glasses and a hat was riding on a boat heading towards the Satellite.
Meanwhile at the Lizard Tower Misty was looking at locket with picture of her and Toby her little brother. "I miss you." She said as she began to cry.
Yusei and his friends were on their way to the final control tower. "Is the only control tower Akiza and the other went to is the final one?" Leo asked. "Yeah but she needs to hurry before the sun sents." Yusei said. "(I just hope she's okay especially Miles.)"
Yusei remembered what happened to Miles due Misty's betrayal.
Akiza was on her way to the final tower with Miles, Mina, and Slippy. "I've dueled Misty before she isn't my biggest fan." She said. "Why is that?" Slippy asked.
a flashback scene.
"You couldn't care less about the people you hurt, could you Akiza?" Misty said. "My brother is gone and its all your fault."
end of flashback.
"That's not fair I know you wouldn't anyone that bad." Slippy yelled. "Easy Slippy." Miles said putting his right hand on Slippy's shoulder. "Anyway what excatly happened to Misty's brother?" Mina asked. "I don't even though who he is." Akiza replied. "Maybe she's just gotten you confused with someone else." Mina said.
"No Misty is after me and I need to defeat her then seal the final control tower." Akiza said.
Then they arrived at their destination. "She must be here somewhere." Mina said as she and rest got out of the car. "Look let's spilt up Miles I want you to come with me." Akiza said.
"Mina and Slippy you guys looke over there." She said pointed at the left side of the park. "Oh if you see a purple light run."
"Right." Mina said as she and Slippy ran off in different directions. "Let's go find Misty." Akiza said to her stepbrother. "Right." Miles said.
A short time later Yusei and the rest of the gang arrived. "Looks like they made it here okay." Yusei said. "What if Akiza dueled already and lost." Leo said.
"Leo!" Luna protested. "Let's go find our friends." Yusei said. "Right but we should spilt up." Trudge said. "Right.' Yusei agreed.
Mina walked near a old ride. "This is not right about run-down carnivals they're so creepy when they're empty." She said. "You got that right." A voice said.
"Who is that!?" Mina asked turning around fast. "Oh sorry I didn't mean to startle you but I work for Director Goodwin so I need to you come with me." The man said.
The others ran around. "Anybody here!" Trudge called out.
"All ye all oxen free!" Leo called out.
"Where are you guys, Akiza!" Luna called out.
"Miles where are you!" Cosmo called out.
"(Where are you guys.)" Shadow thought.
Akiza and Miles were walking towards the tower unknown to them there was a lizard who was spying on them.
Misty then sensed Akiza and then saw Miles too. "Glad you can make Black Rose and Miles the Starlight King." She said. "Come on in.
Then two doors opened which got Miles and Akiza's attention then they saw Misty reflection in one of the mirrors. "Hey its her." Miles exclaimed.
Akiza and Miles then ran inside just as the doors closed on them. "Hey!" Miles said realizing the doors went closed. Akiza tried to open them. "Don't bother you both won't leave." Misty said. "Misty?" Akiza said.
"It just you both and I welcome to my hall of Mirrors." Misty said as her face appeared on one of the mirrors. "I was hoping we can reflect on the past.' She said as more of Misty's face appeared on more of the mirrors.
"Hey Akiza, Miles, Mina, and Slippy where are you guys!" Yusei called out. jus then a giant board sign brok and was falling down towards Yusei. "Look out! A voice ran out as Yusei manages to dodge it.
"Hey are you alright?" The man asked. "Yeah thanks to your heads up." Yusei replied. "Who are you anyway?"
"I'm with the Public Security Bearu, see?" The man said showing wallet with a security sign on it. "Director Goodwin sent me to find Miss Akiza."
"He did but what does he want with Akiza?" Yusei asked. "Its a need to know thing as of now Goodwin doesn't think I need to know that." The man answered. "You know how Goodwin is talking all cryptic and keeping everyone in the dark."
"That's Goodwin." Yusei said knowing what he stranger meant. "Let's find Akiza."
Meanwhile at the house of Mirrors.
"Prepare yourself Akiza cause we need to finish what we started before I'm going to make you feel the pain I've been living with I'm going to make you pay." Misty said. "There's no turning back Akiza if you want to seal the control tower so you can play goodie-two shoes n, save the world then you'l have to make it through my maze." Misty explained as she laughed.
Miles then stepped in. "Look Akiza doesn't know what happened to your brother!"
"I don't care what you think and since you're siding with Akiza I have no choice but you take out too." Misty said. "He's not a Signer!" Akiza said.
"Its up to your brother, so dear Miles what's it going to be?" Misty said.
Miles remembered when he went out with Misty on a date and it was greatest date he had with a girl like her.
He then rememberd when he found out she was a Dark Signer which broke his heart and causeed a darkness inside him to awaken.
"(She seems to want to hurt my stepsister for something she didn't do and I promised Misty I would find out about Toby's disapperance, should I help her still?)" He thought. (Wait a minute think about what she's done to those people in New Domino City, Akiza, and I if it weren't for her I wouldn't have caused destruction myself I shouldn't help her I should be angry.)" Miles said glaring as his eyes glowed red.
Miles shook his head. "Akiza and I will take you on together."
Misty grinned evily. "Miles are you sure." Akiza asked. "My mind is made up." He said as he activated his duel Disk.
"Alright She doesn't scare me bring it on Misty!" The Black Rose said activating her Duel Disk.
"Let's duel!" They proclaimed.
Akiza: 4000 Miles 4000
Misty: 4000
I'm gonna enjoy sending you both to the Netherworld and since this is a hall of mirros I play The Mirror Labyrinth Field Spell." Misty said as the mirrors changed. "Next I activate the Continous Spell Sad Story- Sorrowful Memories."
The scenary changed. "What the heck happened?" Miles asked. "What is this place?" Akiza asked.
Then a boy ran into the room they were in it was Toby Misty's little brother. "Hey here you sis?" He asked.
Misty turned around to greet her brother. "Hi there." She said happily. "I got you a birthday present." He said handing her gift box. "Thanks but my birthday was three months." Misty said. "Yeah but I was away at school so better late then never, right?" Toby asked. Misty opened the box and inside was a locket. "Its perfect I'll put a picture of you and wear it wherever I go." Misty said with smile as she put the locket over her neck.
"Oh guess what I was down by the pier and I saw someone duel like me." Toby said. "You mean someone with powers like you?" Misty asked. "She's awesome her name is Akiza." Toby added.
Akiza was shocked by this and so was Miles. "She's with this really cool group who calls themselves the Aracdia Movement." Toby said excitedly. "I'm not liking the sound of this." Misty said getting nervous.
Toby was confused. "Why not, why shouldn't I join with a group that's like me they would support and understand me if our parents to don't oppose to my powers they'll send me away."
"That's Toby Misty brother." Akiza said quietly. "It would seem so." Miles added. "if we draw monster card from our decks during the Draw Phase then its returned to our decks, reshuffled back in other words one third of our deck is sealed away like a bad memory." Dark Signer Misty explained.
"What the monsters we have in our hands, do we keep those?" Akiza asked. "We do but by summoning Reptillianne Servant in attack mode some are rendered useless." Misty said.
Reptillianne Servant Attack 100
"You see as long as this Snake is on the field neither one of us can summon a monster to our fields." Misty explained. Akiza and Miles were silent.
"Are you both feeling helpless welcome to my world then."
"Glad we can be here." Akiza said. as she drew a card which was a monster card Evil Thorn. "A monster card."
"That's too bad since its a monster you have to put back on the top of your deck and reshuffle it." Misty said.
Akiza growled but knew Misty was right so she put Evil Thorn back to to her deck as her deck was reshuffled. "Guess I'll end my turn with facedown then."
"Its your move now Miles."Akiza said. "Right I draw then." Miles said as he drew his card it was monster card known as Starlight Wolf.
Miles growled at this. "Looks like you've drawn a Monster card." Misty said. "Then you'll have to put back on your deck and reshuffle."
Miles then put his Starlight Monster back on his deck and reshuffled it. "I'll end m turn with one facedown as well." He said.
"Well then you both follow me deep into the Labyrinth ha ha ha." Misty said laughing as her two opponents followed.
meanwhile Yusei was with mysterious man. "Are you sure that Akiza can defeat this Dark Signer?" The man asked. "Yeah, have you seen her duel?" The Champion asked. "No but I heard she was trained by the best." The man replied. "You mean Sayer that guy was creep." Yusei said. "Hmm I take it you have special feelings for this Akiza girl?" The man asked.
"She's a friend that's all." Yusei answered turning away. "Let's keep walking."
"Hey!" The man called out. "What is it?" Yusei asked. "I saw some movement in that window." The strange man said pointing at the house. Yusei ran towards it and went inside. "Hey Akiza, Mina, Miles, Slippy where you guys?" He called out searching around.
He then looked down and saw Mina unconscious below. "Hey Mina what's going on, can you hear me?" He asked. Suddenly a fire ball is fired from the spell Hinotama by the strange man. Yusei manages to dodge it. "WHAT GIVES!?
"Just a friend she doesn't need you nor the others dragging her down." The man said. "You did this?" Yusei asked. "Akiza needs one person and that's me now I play Psychic Sword."
The man wielded a sword. "No way!" Yusei said. "Yes way." The man said charged at yusei with the Psychic Sword.
"You're a Psychic Duelist!?" Yusei said. "Yes and I see your future is about to be cut short." The man said as Yusei blocked the sword with his Duel Disk. "Who are you?" The Champion asked. "The last face you'll ever see." The man replied.
Akiza and Miles continue to follow Misty in the mirror maze. "Don't get lost you two." Misty said. ("What is she planning to do?)" Miles asked himself
"Now my turn I draw." Misty said.
"The memories just keep coming so I activate the second chapter in my sad story combo Unwaverning Truth which changed the scenary again into the Arcadia Movement. "This is the.."Miles began to say. "Arcadia Movement." Akiza finished.
Toby was running towards Akiza. "Hey Miss Akiza!" He called out as Akiza turned around. "Hi my name is Toby and I saw you duel the other day.." He began to say.
"And?" Akiza asked. "I sorta spoke to you afterwards and you mention about this place." Toby said smiling. "Right so you're here to find out what we're all about." Akiza said. "Go bother Sayer kid he deals with all the newbies." She said coldly as she walked away.
"I didn't mean to brush him off." Akiza said. "That's not what I'm angry about though." Misty said.
"Then what are you angry at Akiza about?" Miles asked in serious tone. "In due time but first my Unwaverning Truth in play if either one of us draws a spell during the drawphase we do the same thing its back to the deck and reshuffle time so if you both plannign using spells well too bad." Misty explained.
"I see where this is going." Akiza said. "(Right she's making sure we all can't summoing a monster or play spells but why would she do this?)" Miles thought.
"Let's have fun and since you both defenseless I can attack one of you so I'll start with Akiza." Misty said. "now Reptillanne Servant attack the Black Rose!"
The snake monster attacked Akiza and shattered a mirror.
Akiza: 3900
Meanwhile Yusei was fighting the Psychic Duelist. Yusei manages to push him away. "This will teach you." He said activating the spell Hinotama to materlize another fireball but the Leader Signer dodges again.
"What is your problem buddy, why don't you want me to help Akiza?" Yusei asked. "Because she belongs to me and I won't let you or the others to have her." The man replied. "Oh so you're her number one fan what didn't you say so but I hate to break it to ya but she's a little busy to sign autographs right now." Yusei mocked the man. "Are you mocking me, nobody mocks me!" The stranger man yelled angrily as he played his Psychic Sword and charged at Yusei who blocked it but then the man uses the sword's shealth to hit Yusei in the stomach then kicking him to the cellar where Mina was. "Akiza is meant for greatness so she can't waste her time with you." The stranger said.
He then activate the spell Hinotama again and used the fireball to seal the cellar completely. "Hey Mina, are you okay?" He asked a blue haired woman putting his right hand on her shouler. Just then water began to flood up the cellar. "Hope you can swim." The man said as he walked away.
"This is bad." Yusei said.
Back at mirror maze. Akiza and Miles were silent. "Look at you both scared when the worst is to come you see with this Mirror Labyrinth field spell in play and Reptilanne Servant is all alone on the field it can attack one of you with an encore." Misty said.
"Now Reptilianne Servant attack Akiza again!" She commanded.
The serpant beast attacked Akiza but then Miles rang out his voice. "Not so fast I activate the trap Star Space Blackhole by sending a Star Space Monster from my hand to the graveyard I take the damage instead of Akiza." Miles explained as the serpant snake attacked Miles.
Miles: 3900
"That's all for now so I end my turn with one card facedown so its your move Akiza." Misty said.
"(I could summon of these monster if it weren't for Reptilienne Servant I got to get that snake off the field.)"Akiza thought looking at the cards in her hand. "Alright Misty I draw."
Akiza looked at what she drew it was a trap. "I'm placing this card facedown and that's only move I'm making for now." She said. "Well somebody drew a trap card." Misty said.
"Its my turn then I draw." Miles said drawing a card like Akiza he drew a trap as well. "I place this card facedown too and this is only move I can make." He said. "Well you must've drew trap card too I must say that's fortunate for you both follow me if you two have a chance to play your traps." Misty said as she walked away and the her opponents followed.
"Now its my turn." Misty said drawing her card. "Now I must warn you both this part is pretty emotional you see every sad story needs a gut-wrenching climax full of heartbreak and loss so I activate the third chapter in my sad story Atrocious Day." She said as the scenery changed again.
The scene was the Damion Area. "Remember Akiza when you went out of control and tore up part of the New Domino that day Toby went to see you that duel that day and I never saw him again." Misty said.
The Maze went back to normal. Miles was shocked by this and so was Akiza. "That can't be there was no casualties that day the investigation said." Akiza said.
"Oh right the investigation that was funded by kickbacks from the Arcadia Movement I'm sure there wasn't any cover up." Misty said. "That can't be true!" Miles added angrily.
"At this point my sad story combo prevent us from drawing any new cards like a person losing someone they care about and can't find the strength to move forward." Misty explained. "So what you both holding in your hands?" She asked as Misty's face appeared in all of the mirrors and laughed.
"I'm gonna show you the truth that I didn't hurt your brother so I activate the trap Illusion Destruction this takes a face up card and flips it facedown." Akiza explained. The snake beast was then destroyed instead.
"Argh did you know that Reptilianne Servant gets destroyed when its the target of a spell or trap?" Misty asked. "Maybe its just the old Akiza who doesn't care who she hurts with her power."
"I'm sorry about your brother but what you said happened didn't happen you're just wanting believe what you hear." Akiza said. "Yeah other than that you're looking for someone to blame too." Miles said pointing Misty.
'Your sister is the one denying she's lying to herself." Misty said. "No she's not!" Miles said angrily. "Now I activate the trap Sorrowful Chain." Misty said as the scenery changed again.
Misty was driving in her car with sad face. "I couldn't deal with the lost of my brother I was helpless and alone."
Just then Misty crashed.
Then she was transported to a hospital. Akiza and Miles watched in shock. "That night I was in the hospital I was reborn of as a Dark Signer and its all because of you Akiza." Misty spat.
Meanwhile Yusei and Mina were in cellar. "Hey is anyone up there?!" Mina asked loudly.
Just then Trudge showed up and then saw Public Security ID on the ground. "What this doing here?" Trudge asked as he picked up the wallet.
Then Slippy showed up. "Hey Trudge what's up?" He asked. "I found this wallet which has a Public Security ID on it." He replied.
Trudge opened the wallet and inside was a picture of Mina. "Hey this Mina's ID." Trudge exclaimed. Slippy noticed some else in the wallet. "There's Jack Atlas Sticker on it too."
"Aaah!" Trudge shouted angrily. Help! Someone help us!" A voice screamed. 'That's Mina!" Slippy exclaimed. "In there!" Trudge pointed at the house as he and Akiza's old classmate ran inside.
"What if this is true what if I did hurt Toby." Akiza said shaking her head. "This has gone far enough!" Miles shouted in anger as he felt some kind of uneasy feeling which made him froze. Akiza then tripped and nearly fell on glass shard when suddenly the Psychic Duelist saved her by grabbing her in his arms. "Pull yourself together!" He said.
"Who are you?" Akiza asked. "The only friend you ever need." The man said. "Wait that voice.." Akiza began to say as the man took off his hat and glasses revealing him to be Sayer.
Akiza remembered what happened to him.
A flashback scene.
"I thought you were lost to the Netheworld." Akiza said.
end of flashback.
"What happened how are you here right now?" She asked. "Get back on your feet." Sayer said. "I can't do this." The Black Rose said sadly.
"Look Akiza when you first came to me I could sense that your power was too much for you to handle fearing that you'd tap into it before you were ready and destroy yourself so I used my Psychic abilities to seal it away and bury it deep inside you." Sayer explained. "Now your true powers can be awoken with one little sentence."
Miles was hearing something inside him too but it was different.
"(Miles please don't let your anger consume you." The voice said. It seemed to be female voice. (Remember that promise you made to Misty that you'd find any information about Misty's brother?)" The female voice asked.
Then he heard another voice and turned it to be a male voice. "(Release your anger upon this Dark Signer she caused you this pain and betrayal on you now is your chance to get even.)"
Sayer began to say something to Akiza. "Listen to me the entrance to the Netheworld is on the witch's island."
Then a powerful wind began to blow around Akiza.
("You're right, my darkside is right I thought I can help Misty but that was then!)" Miles thought angrily as his eyes glowed red and then his Starlight King Armor covered his body. Sayer then escapes from the maze.
Meanwhile Trudge and Slippy looked around inside the house. "Hey you two we're down here!" Yusei called out.
The officer and Akiza's classmate looks down where they heard Yusei's voice. The cellar they were in was flooding. "Hey get us out of here." Yusei said.
Slippy found a metal spear and handed it to Trudge. "Great we can use this." Trudge said as he tried to use it to open the hatch. "Any day now you two." Yusei said. "Hey easy for you to say." Trudge growling as he and Slippy struggled to open the hatch.
Back at the Maze.
"You finally revealed your true self Akiza." Misty said. "You Miles you've chose to fight me for real so.."
She was cut by Akiza's voice. "Just make your move."
"I play the effect of my Sorrowful Chain when I have my three sad stories cards on my field I can play this monster Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings." Misty said.
Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings Attack 1900
Akiza and Miles smiled wickedly. "You both are smiling well you two won't be for long." The Number one Super Model said.
"Now my Dragon Queen of Tragic Endings blow away Akiza life points go Tragedy Stream!" Dark Signer Misty commanded.
Akiza 2000
"Now my Dragon Queen's ability activates since you took battle damage Akiza you have to send one card from your hand to the graveyard." Misty explained. "Fine then I discard Hedge Guard." The Black Rose said.
"Now thanks to my Dragon's second ability I can draw another card from my deck." Misty said drawing a card. 'Since this isn't the Drawphase Sad Story combo has no effect and with that I end my turn."
"I draw then." Akiza said. "This is monster so I need to return back to my deck not that I care cause I summon Witch of the Black Rose from my hand."
Witch of the Black Rose Attack 1700
"Since this card was successfully summoned I can draw another card my deck but if the card I draw other than a monster card my witch is destroyed.' Akiza explained. 'This isn't the Drawphase so your Sad Story combo has no effect two can play at this Misty." She said.
Misty was quiet as Akiza drew her card.
The Black Rose looked at her card. "I drew my Rose Fairy and since this card was drawn due to a card's effect and I can special summon it."
Rose Fairy Attack 600
"Next I'll tune my Witch of the Black Rose with my Rose Fairy." She said. "Now is Akiza's chance." Miles said smiling wickedly.
"I'm done listening to you whine Misty and I Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon."
The Rose Dragon appeared causing a powerful wind and breaking the mirror maze. Luna and Leo noticed this.
Cosmo notices this too. "Hey what's that?" She asked pointing where the wind is coming from. Shadow ran towards it and Cosmo followed.
"You'd pick the wrong girl to hold a grudge against Misty." Akiza said. "This is end for you." Miles said.
Then Miles heard the female voice again. "(Please Miles don't do this.)"
("GO AWAY!) He shouted to the female voice.
Sayer was watching from a nearby building He secretly wondered what's going on with Akiza's stepbrother but he decided to ignore that.
"Now with Akiza's true power awoken she'll take down this Dark Signer and together we'll rebuild the Arcadia Movement." Sayer said as he began to laugh.
