Spongebob and Patrick were now sitting in an empty room. They were about to be interrogated by the FBI. Spongebob and Patrick weren't as nervous as a normal person would be, considering the fact that they didn't plant that bomb in Squidward's house. Just then, two FBI agents walked into the room.
"Alright, boys," said one of the agents. "First things first, why'd you do it?"
"Sir, please," said Patrick. "We're victims, we wouldn't do this."
"Then, who did it?"
"We're not sure," said Spongebob. "I was working one day and I took out the trash and a bomb exploded on me. So I ran home, and then a bomb blew up at Squidward's house. We were only seeing if he was alright."
The officers actually believed them, seeing as they looked soft and wouldn't hurt a fly.
"Do you know anyone who might've done it," said the officer.
"Well, there is someone," said Spongebob. "He seems like the person who would do something like that. My pet snail Gary, he can talk and does what we other people do. He's gotten into trouble with the law recently; he killed about 20 cops and 2 civilians. He was taken to Federal Prison and I think he might've escaped."
Just then another officer walked in with security footage of the explosion at the Krusty Krab. They investigated that the bomb was set 10 minutes before it exploded, so they watched 15 minutes of the tape. For 15 minutes they watched absolutely nothing happening, then in the last few seconds of the video, the bomb blew up.
"Okay, this security footage can help us investigate some more," said the officer. "You two are free to go."
Spongebob and Patrick were escorted out of the prison and went home. But they turned on the TV, and the Mad Bomber struck again, this time at the same jail that Spongebob and Patrick were just at.
"Good thing we left when we did, right babe?" said Patrick.
"Yeah," said Spongebob. "Patrick, this Mad Bomber is killing innocent people; we should do the right thing by trying to stop him. I know someone who might be able to help."
