CHAPTER NINETEEN

~Bedlam~

Boots clattered as they exited the elevator and walked down the main hall of the hotel. The clerks behind the registration desk gasped as they saw a blonde-haired woman accompanied by two armored Zaibatsu soldiers walk by. Without saying a word, the woman and her guards swiftly exited the building.

Anna breathed deeply as she walked towards a black SUV that was parked at the end of the street. The armor she wore was heavy, stiff and restricting, but she tried her best to get used to her new attire. She had to if she wanted to survive the night.

Nina quickly walked ahead of them, towards the car and opened the trunk. Bryan haphazardly tossed two duffel bags filled with Anna and his belongings into the vehicle. They wanted to cover their tracks and leave no evidence of their stay in the hotel behind. Nina quickly shut the door and sat in the passenger seat of the car. Bryan and Anna took their seats in the back and without hesitation, Dragunov put the car in gear and sped off.

Anna quickly removed her helmet and took in a deep breath of fresh air. Her suit was tight and stifling. Bryan did the same.

"Shit…" Bryan muttered tiredly under his breath.

Nina shot him a concerned glance. She noticed Bryan was squirming uneasily in his seat.

"I apologize if the suits are a bit uncomfortable." Nina said as she focused on the road ahead of her. "I tried my best to pick the right sizes."

"How long do we have to wear these for?" Anna calmly interjected.

"I strongly suggest you wear them for the duration of the night." Nina said quietly. "I am certain that your covers will be blown at some point…The armor… it will protect you." Her voice was somewhat somber.

No words were spoken after that. The car fell silent for what seemed like an eternity after Nina's final comment. Her words and how she said them changed the atmosphere completely. Nina sighed sullenly as she blankly gazed out her window. Anna looked down worryingly as she wrung her hands in her lap.

Bryan noticed their saddened expressions. He fully understood how they felt however, he knew that now was not the right time to sit and sulk. He cannot act as if he was already defeated before the battled has even begun.

"So… what should we do when we get there?" Bryan asked calmly.

"Head for the lab first… That machine you're after will be there." Nina said quietly. "…. Along with Dr. Abel." She muttered under her breath.

"What!?" Bryan said astounded by the name he had just heard.

Nina turned to look at him. "Yes… he's alive…" She said disappointedly. "I was shocked as well when I found out."

"But that means Heihachi is alive as well…" Bryan said dumbfounded

"That is highly probable but it doesn't matter right now." Nina turned back around in her seat and focused on the road once more. "Just go into the lab and retrieve the android, then…" She trailed off.

"Then what?" Bryan pressed.

Nina's mind fluttered with thoughts. She still hasn't fully fleshed out her plan.

"…Go to the parking lot and take the secret elevator to the roof of the Zaibatsu." Nina said unsure of her words. "We'll meet there and take one of the helicopters to escape."

Bryan passed a hand through his hair as he gave Nina a concerned look. He couldn't help but feel a little skeptical about her plan and judging by the tone of her voice, he knew she didn't feel too confident in it either.

"So where will Jin be in all of this?" Bryan questioned.

Nina turned to face him. She hesitated for a moment before answering. "He will be… in his office."

"Are you… Are you serious!?" Anna said suddenly. She was wide-eyed and full of shock and disbelief. "That plan will never work! Our covers will be blown the moment we invade his lab! You really expect us to take Jin's personal, secret elevator to the roof!? The very same elevator that goes directly to his office!? I-It's suicide!"

Bryan groaned as he rested his head on the back of his seat. "Your sister is right Nina." He drawled. "That plan is a fuckin' death trap... If Jin is smart, he would disable all of the elevators in the building as soon as he knows that we're there." Bryan sighed as he lifted his head to look at her. "We'll be trapped with nowhere to run."

Nina let out a defeated sigh. "I know… but it's the only plan I've got." She said quietly. "Jin gave me 24 hours to bring you two to him. If I don't… then I am as good as dead as well. This plan is all that I can muster with the amount of time I was given."

Bryan was at a loss for words. He leaned back in his seat and blankly gazed out of the window. He wanted to remain optimistic; wanted to believe that things will work out in their favor somehow. But after hearing Nina's poorly thought up plan, he was beginning to think otherwise.

Anna looked down worryingly. She knew this was their final mission. It was the most dangerous one they have ever embarked upon and it troubled Anna deeply to see Bryan look so defeated. He was the strongest out of all of them and if he, of all people, is unsure about tonight there was no way in hell she can remain confident and optimistic about the outcome.

"I know it sounds terrible, but you must have faith in me." Nina said; interrupting their thoughts. "I will make this plan work." She said as she forced some confidence in her words.

Faith? Anna questioned to herself. Faith was something they all lacked at that moment… and for good reason. But without it she believed she wouldn't have made it so far in this journey.

"You're right…" Anna chimed in quietly. "We must have faith in each other… we have to if we want get through this alive."

After the many small talks of encouragement she had received from Bryan throughout their journey, Anna never thought the day would come when they had to switch roles. She needed the old, arrogant, Bryan back. They all do.

Nina raised a brow curiously at her sister. "For once, I agree with you." She said with renewed poise.

Anna was taken aback by her response, but she nodded and smiled softly in acknowledgement.

"Dragunov will try to prevent the Mishima soldiers from patrolling the lab while you two are down there. As for me… I will be in Jin's office." Nina said determinately.

"Huh!?" Bryan said feeling thoroughly baffled. "Isn't that the worst fuckin' place to be?"

Nina sighed. "I have no choice…I am supposed to report to him as soon as we get there." She said quietly. "But at the same time, it can also be advantageous for our plan."

Bryan was confused by her words at first but he quickly realized what she insinuating. "Oh, I get it." Bryan said with a smirk. "You'll keep an eye on what Jin is doing while we're there. You'll somehow inform us or Dragunov to what he's going to do."

"Yes." Nina concurred. "More importantly, I will make sure that private elevator stays operational while you two make your escape. It can only be disabled from Jin's office and I will not allow that to happen."

"Alright… So how you're gonna meet us on the roof?" Bryan pondered.

"I haven't' figured that out yet, but don't worry, I will be there." Nina said with a hint of uncertainty.

"Huh…" Bryan said skeptically as he crossed his arms. "You're plan still gotta lot of holes in it Nina…" He trailed off.

"I understand your cynicism but… If we just keep a level head on our shoulders we will get out of this alive." Nina said reassuringly.

She was right, Bryan thought. The odds may be stacked against them but he be damned if he behaved like they have already lost. It was weak to think that way and he knew he is anything, but weak. He suddenly felt ashamed for how he felt over the past couple of days. He acted as if he was living out the last days of his life and even if they were, he was determined to go down in a blaze of glory. He will not be remorseful or full of regret. He needed to renew his resolve and confidence.

Bryan chuckled. "Alright, let's get this shit over with." He said cunningly and smirked.

Anna softly smiled when she heard the renewed determination in his voice.

"Sergei…" Bryan said loudly as he kicked the back of the man's seat. "I hope you got a good pair of lungs 'cause you better fuckin' yell or somethin' if those soldiers start heading towards us!" He said jokingly and laughed.

Dragunov simply narrowed his eyes and grunted as if annoyed by the man's remark.

An armed Zaibatsu soldier lifted up his hand to halt a black SUV as it made its approach towards the check point. The vehicle slowed to a stop in front of him. The soldier slowly walked over to the driver's side of the car and waited as the darkly tinted window came down.

The soldier immediately grew nervous when he realized who the passengers were. "G- Good evening captains!" He said and quickly saluted both Dragunov and Nina. "Master Kazama is expecting you Ms. Williams, he wants you to report to his office right away."

"Thank you soldier." Nina said sternly.

The soldier nodded and was about to let them through, but he noticed something odd in the car. "A- Are there any other people with you?" He asked sheepishly as he peered into the vehicle.

"Yes, two tired soldiers who were out on patrol. I decided to bring them back to base to get some rest."

"Oh…" The soldier said feeling a little embarrassed. "I'm sorry I had to question you captain. It's –"

"I understand." Nina interjected. "You are doing an excellent job at keeping the Zaibatsu safe soldier." She said sternly.

"Thank you ma'am!" He said and saluted once more.

The soldier stepped back and let the car drive through the check point.

Bryan quietly chuckled under his helmet. He was amused by the ironic compliment Nina had given the soldier.

"It's time to get serious." Nina muttered sternly; feeling both bothered and relieved by the man's laughter. It was good to know that Bryan was back to his normal self.

The car entered and parked in the underground lot. They all exited the vehicle. Nina sighed wearily as she saw Bryan and her sister fixing their suits and gathering their equipment from the car. She wondered if her half-baked plan would really work.

"Alright." Bryan said as he grabbed a machine gun from the back seat of the car. "Let's get this shit over with."

"This helmet is so uncomfortable." Anna whined as she tried to adjust and make it more tolerable.

"I fuckin' agree." Bryan muttered from under his helmet. "This suit is squeezing the shit outta my balls." He said as he tugged at his pants inappropriately.

Nina crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at his comment.

Anna let out a sigh of disgust. "You could've kept that bit of info to yourself, you know." She said condescendingly.

"Hey, sharing is caring." Bryan quipped and chuckled.

"Alright, that's enough." Nina sighed as she shook her head disapprovingly. "It's time to get serious here. We all have our roles to play and we have got to play them to the best of our ability… alright?"

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Good." Nina said bluntly.

Bryan chuckled. "Okay now that this little pep talk is over, let's get to work." He said as he lifted his gun to rest on his shoulder. "I'll see you guys on the roof." Bryan waved at them as he walked off with Anna walking closely behind him.

Nina was hesitant as she saw the distance grew between them. "Wait!" She called out, stopping Bryan in his tracks. He turned around to look at her. She felt slightly upset that his helmet kept his face hidden. She really wanted to see him one last time.

"What's up?" Bryan questioned concernedly as he saw the worried look on her face.

Nina quickly regained her stoic poise. I cannot falter now, she thought. "… Be careful…" She said. Her voice was quiet yet stern. She wished she could give him a proper farewell but she knew it wasn't wise with all the security cameras all over the place.

Bryan nodded before continuing with his mission.

Nina kept his eyes on him and watched as he exited the parking lot and entered the Zaibatsu.

Nina turned around and sighed. She gathered her things from the car and headed inside the Zaibatsu with Dragunov. They both quietly waited for an elevator to arrive.

Nina felt anxious. She didn't know how her meeting will go with Jin. Out of the four of them, her life was in the most danger. She was literally about to have a face to face meeting with the devil. It frightened her to the core.

The elevator doors opened and they both walked inside. They were about to go their separate ways and the thought made Nina's heart race. For the first time in her life, she was frightened to be alone. She thought it was both shameful and ironic. Fear of loneliness was a trait that belonged to her sister. She always despised her for it, but now, she felt the same way.

For a very brief moment, she wanted to ask Dragunov to stay with her. The man always acted very cold and indifferent. Regardless the situation, he always approach it with confidence. Nina wanted him to stay with her; she wanted to feed off his confidence to bolster her own.

She looked up at Dragunov. Her lips parted as she was about to make her request but she quickly stopped herself when she saw the man. Her eyes widen a little. Dragunov still maintained a stoic demeanor but somehow he looked tense. Nina even saw a bead of sweat forming at the top of his brow despite it being freezing cold in the elevator.

"Is he anxious as well?" Nina thought to herself. She couldn't believe that the Russian can emit such feelings and it made her resolve crumble a little bit more. Despite all this she knew that asking him to stay will never work. It will make her entire plan fall apart. They each had their roles to play and they must play their parts in order for the plan to be successful.

The elevator dinged indicating that it had reached one of the requested floors. The doors opened and Dragunov stepped off. Nina felt a pang of fear shot through her as he did so. She tried her best to hide it but failed.

"Dragunov." Nina said softly.

The Russian turned around to look at her. He saw her pained look. His expression seemed to relax, only a little as if he felt concerned for the woman.

"… I… I will not be able to fight him on my own…" She muttered; not knowing what else to say.

Dragunov softly nodded as he pulled out his phone and pointed to it.

Nina looked at him and quietly thanked him as the elevator doors closed between them.

Ding!

Anna jumped at the sudden noise and instinctively gripped Bryan's arm. Her fear was gradually increasing as they ventured deeper into the Zaibatsu.

Bryan eyes narrowed as the elevator doors slowly creaked opened on the lowest floor of the building. They revealed a long empty, gray, hallway. He focused his attention at the two, metal doors at the end of the corridor.

"This is it." Bryan said flatly as he kept his attention on the doors before them. He began to walk off the elevator but quickly realized that Anna was holding on to his arm.

"Come on Anna…" He said as he gently pulled away from her and walked off the elevator. He turned to face her. "You gotta toughen up… It's time to finish this." He said firmly.

Anna nervously sighed as she slowly looked at him.

Bryan couldn't see it, her helmet blocked his view, but he knew the woman was scared. His expression soften. He gave her a smirk even though she couldn't see it and playfully knocked the top of her helmet.

"Let's hurry up and save the fuckin' world." He said jokingly. "Then we can get on with our lives." Bryan turned and began to walk towards the doors.

Anna knew that he was trying to boost her confidence, but his last comment bothered her. "Wait!" Anna loudly whispered as she speedily walked towards him.

"What is it?" Bryan said calmly as he turned to face her once more.

"If we somehow manage to do this… defeat the Zaibatsu… What then?"

"Huh?"

"What will you do once all of this is over?" Anna clarified and she looked at him anxiously.

"Well hopefully that Doc will keep his word and repair my generator… Then after that… I think I'll disappear for a while... Go someplace where nobody knows me." Bryan quietly smiled at the thought.

"Oh…"

Bryan heard the sadness in her voice. "What's wrong now?" He said in annoyance.

"I… I don't know what I'll do when this is over… I'll be alone again…" She mumbled.

"So?" Bryan said flatly. "There's nothin' wrong with that."

For some reason, his words coupled with his dismissive tone stung her. She secretly hoped that they could maintain some sort of relationship after their mission was over. It deeply hurt knowing how easily Bryan was willing to abandon everyone without giving it a second thought.

"What about Nina?" She questioned eagerly.

"What about her?"

"Will you just disappear and leave her behind too?" She said with a hint of anger.

Bryan chuckled amusedly as he realized what was troubling her. "Come on Anna…" he said somewhat pleadingly. "Don't you want a fresh start after all of this? You'll meet new people, make new friends… Your past, all the shit you've done will be erased."

Anna quietly sighed. Bryan was right. What he said made sense. It would be near impossible for them to maintain any kind of relationship, especially after tonight. If they do somehow manage to destroy the Zaibatsu, Lee will surely be after them seeking retribution for their betrayal.

Anna sighed. "You still didn't answer my question…" She said quietly.

Bryan turned to look at her.

"Will you just leave Nina behind after you fought so hard to find her?"

"Yeah." Bryan said coldly.

Anna was shocked by his answer. "Why?"

Bryan paused and looked at her for a moment as he seriously thought about an answer to her question or whether he should answer it at all. Anna was beginning to get a bit too personal as she did when she questioned him about his past several days ago. He is private person. He didn't like explaining himself or giving out any details about his past.

However, he must admit that they have gotten to know a lot about each other over the short time they have been together. He had already confided some things to her that even Nina doesn't know about. At this point Anna wasn't just an acquaintance, she was something more than that. Something that he hated to admit but accepted at the same time.

Bryan smirked. "Unlike you… Nina and I… we are solitary animals. We enjoy having our space. It may seem cold to you, but that's just how it is. It works for us. We may not express it much but we do understand and respect each other's feelings and that's all there is to it." He said calmly.

Anna sighed as she thought over what he said. She always wondered about the inner workings of their relationship. If they can call it that. How they related to each other seemed rather cold and distant to her. It sadden Anna how incompatible she and Bryan would be if they were a couple, but she is happy to establish a bond with him somehow.

"However…" Bryan said with an evil grin. "Every once in a while we get together, hang-out and …ya know…do what animals do." He said lewdly.

Anna scoffed in disgust. "Too much information."

"Heh, well you asked." He shrugged. "And besides… splitting up will be best for everyone, especially for us. Lee is probably looking for both our asses as we speak."

Anna sighed. "You're right." She conceded.

"Hey splitting up don't mean that we never gonna see each other." Bryan smirked and playfully knocked the top of her helmet once more. "I'm sure we'll cross paths sooner or later." He began to walk towards the doors. "

Anna smiled and nodded in agreement as she followed closely behind him. He was right, she thought. Just like Him and Nina, they will somehow see each other again.

"We'll play some poker next time." He said and quickly glanced at her. "But for money... I already have a lifetime supply of toothpicks." He teased and chuckled.

"Ha, ha, very funny." Anna mocked. She secretly vowed to get better at the game.

Bryan slowly approached the doors and peered through one of the small, round windows. Anna swallowed hard as she watched him.

"Huh… I don't see anything… There's lots of equipment and machines all over the place though." He said as he looked through the window.

"Do you think it's clear?" Anna questioned nevously.

"I doubt it." He bluntly said. "I'm sure that old fucker is somewhere in there."

Bryan cautiously pushed open one of the doors and nodded at Anna. "Come on, it's time to put these outfits to good use."

Anna swallowed hard as she followed him inside.

Bryan and Anna quietly ventured deeper into the lab. The room was huge but was cluttered with things. Random wires dangled and draped from the tall ceilings and the room hummed with electrical equipment. Anna gasped at the sight of robotic body parts that lay on experiment tables and hanged from the ceiling. The place looked very creepy and macabre.

Bryan approached one of the tables. He was taken aback when he saw a naked female torso laying there. It was illuminated by a bright lamp that hung above it. For a moment, he thought it was real, but he quickly noticed several wires jutting out where the arms, legs and head should be.

Anna watched nervously as Bryan curiously reached out to touch the torso. She was worried the thing will move or try to kill them somehow. But her fear quickly turned into shock as she saw the man reached out and squeeze the breasts of the dismembered woman.

"Huh." Bryan scoffed feeling somewhat impressed. "You think these are filled with silicone or something else?" He said in a serious tone.

Anna couldn't believe what she had just saw. There they are, risking their lives to save the world with death lurking around every corner and somehow Bryan seemed to not take their situation seriously. Her eyebrow twitched in frustration. Without thinking, Anna angrily jabbed him hard with her elbow.

"Are you crazy!? This is not the right time for your perverted jokes!"

"Ow!" Bryan whispered loudly as he tried to stifle his laughter.

"Hello there!" A bubbly voice chimed in.

Bryan and Anna both froze and turned around to see who it was.

Anna's eyes widened."Alisa Bosconovitch." She muttered. Her heart began to race at the sight of her.

"What you were doing was very disrespectful. I must implore you to refrain touching any and all devices and equipment within the laboratory." The young woman said as she gave them a warm smile.

Bryan chuckled. "Well that's no fun." He said mockingly. "That old doc must have a ball playing with all these toys." He said as he glanced at the torso.

"Stop it." Anna whispered to Bryan. She knew he was trying to provoke the machine and it made her rub her hands nervously. Their covers will be quickly blown if Bryan keeps this up.

"You are incorrect. This is a place for research, not fun." The robotic girl said more firmly while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. "Once again, I ask you to refrain touching any of the equipment within the lab."

"What's all that noise!? Can't you see that I'm busy!?" An elderly voice yelled from across the room.

All three turned their attention towards the direction the voice was coming from. Out from the shadows approached an old man with a cane.

Bryan's face quickly furrowed in anger when he saw Abel approached them. He knew the doctor was there. He expected it, anticipated it, and mentally prepared for it. Or so he thought. As he stood mere feet away from the old man, it was quickly getting difficult to keep a cool head. His hands balled into fists as he glared at him. Thoughts of his previous encounter with the old man raced through his mind. It angered him that he failed to get his revenge when he saw him in Brazil.

"Hello Doctor Abel." Alisa chirped happily as Abel stood at her side. "I found these soldiers in the lab, one of them was touching your experiments in a very distasteful manner."

"Hmm?" Abel mumbled angrily as he looked at the two. He did not have the patience for this. "I won't tolerate such things in this lab! Didn't Kazama trained you better than that!? Your place is outside those doors not here!" He yelled as he pointed his cane towards the doors they had entered. "Now get out, you idiots!"

Anna shook nervously as Bryan brewed with rage. He didn't like being spoken to like that, but at the same time, he knew that he must remain calm. He swiftly turned around and began to walk towards the exit with Anna following closely behind.

Abel turned around and began to angrily hobble away still muttering his annoyance of the two soldiers. Alisa did not follow him. She stood and watched them probingly. Logic told her that something was odd about them.

Abel didn't notice it, but Alisa quickly sense their change of emotions when she made her presence known. One of them began shaking like a leaf while the other seem to suddenly tense up when Abel arrived. She also noticed that both soldiers failed to do their usual salute before being dismissed and one of them spoke with a very informal tongue. She thought it was very odd for a pair of highly trained soldiers.

"Wait!" She commanded, stopping the soldiers in their tracks.

Abel perked an eyebrow when he heard the young girl's voice. "What is it Alisa? I have work to do." Abel said as he pushed his thick glasses up the bridge of his nose.

"Something is not right…" She said quietly. Her eyes narrowed as she examined the two.

"What do you mean?" Abel frowned.

"They are acting very out of character…" She whispered.

Alisa walked over to them and began to do a visual analysis of the two.

Anna began to sweat when she saw the robotic girl staring at them. At first, she was focused on Bryan. Her eyes seem to glow a brighter shade of green as she did so. Anna flinched when the girl suddenly turned her attention at her.

"Is something the matter?" Alisa questioned.

Anna quickly shook her head no.

"You appear to be shivering yet my analysis shows that your body temperature is surprisingly high. Very strange don't you think?" She questioned but received no response. "Based on my understanding of humans, one will classify your behavior as apprehension or better yet… fear." She said and smiled from ear to ear.

"Fuck." Bryan muttered to himself. He knew their cover was about to be blown. He tightened his fists, preparing himself for a fight. He secretly hoped that they could have exited the lab. He didn't know what this robotic girl was capable of and wanted to think up a plan on how to take her down.

Satisfied, Alisa halted her examination of the two. "Would you soldiers kindly remove your helmets? I would like to see your faces." She said and smiled.

"Shit! This isn't good!" Bryan thought to himself. He hesitated for a moment and pondered his options but quickly realized that there was only one. He had to fight. It was the only way they can get out of this alive. If this little, synthetic girl really Jin's key to destroying the world, he had to give this fight everything he's got.

Without warning, Bryan gritted his teeth and suddenly lunged towards the girl as quickly as his cybernetic body would allow and punched her as hard as he could. The attack took Alisa by surprised, she didn't have time to react. The blow sent her flying across the room. She bounced and skidded off the floor until she crashed into some huge machinery.

Bryan scoffed as he saw the girl embedded in the metal structure. "Well that was easy." He said under his breath.

"Alisa!" Abel yelled out worryingly as he hobbled towards the girl. He was worried his stolen creation was damaged or destroyed somehow.

Bryan's eyes narrowed as he quickly turned his attention towards the doctor; The man who had abandoned him and left him for dead. "Now it's your turn old man!" He yelled angrily as he ran after Abel. He so badly wanted the old geezer dead. Nothing will bring him more joy than watching him take his final breath. But before he was able land an attack, he felt something hit him hard in the stomach. It knocked the wind right out of his lungs and sent him crashing to the ground.

Bryan coughed and gasped for air on the floor as he saw what had hit him in the guts. He couldn't believe it. It was a dismembered hand that was balled into a fist. It looked like it belonged to the robotic girl.

Bryan slowly stood up as he caught his breath and looked on in amazement as the hand shot off the ground like a rocket and returned to its owner.

The hand swiftly connected itself to Alisa arm. She wiggled her fingers; making sure that it had reattached correctly. She then began to pry herself away from the machinery causing the structure to creaked and bend. Once free, she hopped down and gracefully landed on the ground while still maintaining a welcoming smile.

"Please stand back doctor…" Alisa warned. "I'll take care of this."

She looked at Bryan and giggled for a brief moment. Then, in a blink of an eye, She dashed towards him. She propelled herself forward with the use of thrusters that was attached to the back of her lower legs.

Bryan watched in horror as he saw a pair of chainsaws suddenly jut from each arm. "Shit!" He cursed. He never in his wildest dreams, could imagine that this girl could be harboring such a weapon. It seemed impossible.

The android raised her chainsaws, revving them before bringing them down overhead with a force. She wanted to completely eviscerate her opponent.

Bryan raised both his arms to block the blow. If it wasn't for the armor, his arms would have been completely chopped off and his head split in two. The chainsaws clashed and skidded against his metal arm guards and helmet, sending sparks flying through the air.

Bryan tried his best to fend off the young woman. He knew his armor will not last much longer. He curse suddenly when he heard his helmet begin to crack.

Anna gasped when she saw Bryan struggle to get the girl off of him. Not knowing what else to do, she quickly pulled out her handgun and shot the robot several times. A few bullets struck the robot in the torso. One bullet struck her right in the head. The bullet ricochet taking a chunk of synthetic skin with it.

The girl immediately stopped and her chainsaws retracted back into her arms. She ran towards the gunman and punched the supposed soldier across the room.

"Anna!" Bryan blurted out as he saw her body land on the floor. The blow caused the helmet to fly off her head. It crashed and landed beside her.

"Anna?" Alisa said and giggled. "I knew it. I knew it was you two all along." She said and clapped her hands gleefully and laughed.

Anna blacked out momentarily upon impact but quickly regain consciousness. Determined, she managed to get back up on her feet and shakily pointed her gun at the cackling android.

Alisa stopped her laughter and looked at the woman. "If you value your life, strongly suggest that you stay out of this fight." She said and gave her a gentle smile.

Anna eyes widen in shock at the sight of her. Some of the skin surrounding her right eye was missing; exposing the metal skill underneath.

Alisa looked puzzled as she noticed her frightened expression. "Is there something wrong?" She said as she examined her face with her hands. "Oh, I seem to have lost a piece of myself." She said jokingly when she noticed the missing chunk of flesh. "Don't worry, I shall have it repaired after this fight is over." She said happily.

Anna looked uneasy. She thought the android's overly cheerful demeanor was creepy and disturbing to her.

"Stay back Anna." Bryan said as he slowly stood up. "This is a fight you can't win. You just stand back and be the assist, ya?"

Anna nodded in agreement as she returned her weapon to its holster. She backed away and decided to watch the fight from a distance.

Bryan sighed in relief when he knew Anna was okay. He then tried to fix his helmet, but it unexpectedly cracked in half and fell off his head. He chuckled as the shattered armor clattered against the floor. A small stream of blood slowly trickled down his forehead. It seemed as though the girl's blades had cut a lot closer than he thought.

Abel looked on in shock when he saw the man's face. "You again!?" He said in utter disbelief.

"That's right!" Bryan concurred as he faced the elderly man. "You're 'failed' experiment has returned to fuck you over once more!" He said mockingly and laughed.

Abel grunted in annoyance. He couldn't believe that Bryan was still alive. He started to wonder if his words were true. Perhaps he had given up on him too soon.

"Doctor, I suggest you leave." Alisa interjected as she return her gaze on Bryan. "Your chances of survival will greatly increase if you exit the lab."

Abel was a little hesitant. It bothered him that he had to abandon one of his experiments yet again. "Alright…" Abel grumbled in annoyance. " I'll leave the rest to you." He quickly hobbled towards the exit.

Bryan grunted in anger. He didn't want the doctor to escape as he did in Brazil. "Get back here you coward!" He barked as he darted towards the man.

Alisa pulled out her chainsaws and dash in front of Bryan; stopping him in his tracks. Abel was able to escape the lab safely.

Alisa swung her blades vertically at him; hoping to take off his head, but Bryan ducked the attack and tripped the girl with a low sweep kick. Her blades quickly retracted into her arms upon impact.

Bryan swiftly stomped his foot down into the girl's gut using all his strength to plant her firmly to the ground. He then grabbed one of her arms and pulled as hard as her could. He knew he had to end this fight as quickly as possible. He cannot allow it to go on for too long or else he'll be as good as dead.

Alisa's arm began to give as it started to separate from its joint. She quickly extracted the chainsaw from her other arm and swung at him but it was too late. Bryan hopped back; dodging her attack with her dismembered limb in his hand.

Alisa used her thrusters to jettison herself away from him and off the floor. She examined the area where her arm used to be. There were several wires jutting out of her shoulder that emitted blue sparks of electricity.

"Lost something?" Bryan interjected as he waved the limb mockingly and laughed. He then chucked the arm across the room towards her. It landed right at her feet.

Alisa looked at the dismembered limb. "Oh, my…" she giggled. "I'm gonna need a lot of repairs after this."

The android looked up at Bryan and smiled. The man was a lot tougher than she had anticipated and she knew she had to end the fight quickly or else it will end poorly for her.

"It's time to conclude this battle, but don't worry, I'll make sure your death is quick and painless, okay?" She said in a bubbly tone. "One simple stroke and it'll be over, I promise." She smiled and gave a wink with what's left of her right eye.

Bryan gave her a perturbed look. He must admit that her overly happy attitude was beginning to creep him out.

"And they say I'm fucked up." He muttered under his breath in disbelief.

The robot suddenly lunged towards Bryan and with the use of her thrusters she kicked him straight across the room. He crashed into a table filled with sharp surgical tools. Some managed to slip past his armored suit and stabbed him in his arm and side of his body. Bryan groaned in pain as the tools pierced his skin.

Without missing a beat, Alisa dashed towards him with her chainsaw out. She revved it as she made her approach. Bryan quickly rolled out the way. Alisa's blade missed its mark and ended up cutting through some electrical wiring on the floor. Some of the wires entangled itself around her arm and blade, jamming it and rendering it useless.

Bryan groaned as he sat up on the floor. He began to pull the sharp knives and other surgical equipment from his body as he watched the robotic girl struggled to untangle herself from her wired constraints.

"This just isn't working." Alisa said as she attempted to yank her arm free. She tried to rev her chainsaw in order to cut through the wires but it didn't work. "I wanted to give you a painless death… but I am afraid I cannot uphold my promise to you." She chirped.

Accepting the futility of her actions, Alisa halted her attempts at freeing herself. Instead, she extracted a small missile from her arm and pointed it directly at Bryan.

Bryan saw the missile emerged from her entangled arm. He grunted in shock as he saw it pointing right at him.

"This is my last resort… I cannot allow you to live." The android said in a surprisingly serious tone. Her eyes glowed like bright emeralds. "This missile will result in heavy damage, your chances of survive are less than one percent." She spoke in more of a robotic tone.

"Fuck." Bryan muttered in disbelief.

Suddenly he heard Anna yelled angrily. He turned and saw the woman running towards the android with what looks to be a long piece of metal. Anna drove her weapon directly into the girl's chest; impaling her. The robotic girl began move erratically as if she was having a seizure. She made weird buzzing and gurgling sounds as blue sparks of electricity shot about her body.

Bryan didn't want to waste any more time. He quickly got up, ignoring all the pain throughout his body and walked towards the Alisa.

"Good work." Bryan breathed and gave her a nod of approval. "You just saved both our asses."

"What should we do?" Anna muttered nervously as she watched the robot flail uncontrollably.

"Just stand back." Bryan walked over and wrapped his hands around the sides of her head and began to pull just as he did before.

"No, no!" The android yelled in protest as her body jerked about. "I insist you stop!"

Bryan grinned from ear to ear, ignoring the girl's plea. He pulled with a little more force until he had successfully ripped off her head. Her glowing eyes seemed to fade and her body immediately ceased its erratic movements and fell to the floor.

Bryan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the girl's lifeless body. "Shit." He muttered under his breath. For a moment there, I thought I was fucked."

"Are you alright?" Anna asked as she walked towards him.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Bryan replied tiredly as he sat on the floor. "Here, hold this." He reached out and quickly handed her the severed head.

Anna immediately squealed and dropped it when she realized what it was. "How could you hand me such a thing!?" She said in both outrage and disgust.

"Aw, come on…. She's dead." Bryan said reasonably as he proceeded to pull out the remainder of the surgical equipment from his body. "Even if her head was still functional what's the worst she could do?... Bite you?" He said and chuckled weakly.

"Hey… Are you sure you're okay?" Anna said concernedly. She noticed Bryan's wounds and he seemed to be exhausted from the fight. "Don't you need your medicine right about now?" Anna questioned; referring the stimulants he uses to keep his perpetual generator functioning.

"I told you I'm fine." Bryan grunted, feeling slightly annoyed even though he quietly agreed. He needed his medication however, he only had one dose left and he didn't want to use it until the mission was over. "Just go find a bag or something." Bryan commanded as he passed a hand through his hair.

"A bag?" Anna muttered curiously as she went off to look for the item.

She searched the lab and it didn't take her long to find one. She returned to Bryan with a small knapsack. He took the item and placed the android's head in the bag.

"We're taking that thing!?" Anna said in disgust.

"Yeah." Bryan said simply. "That Doc asked me to bring his daughter to him... Hopefully her head will be enough." He said and chuckled.

"Oh…" Anna said quietly; remembering the promise the doctor made with him.

"Since I'm doing most of the fighting, you have to carry this." He said as he gave her the bag.

Anna was repulsed at the idea of carrying a severed head on her back however, she was willing to help any way she can. She hesitantly took the knapsack and put it on.

Anna's disgusted expression made Bryan grin. "Good, now let's get out of here." He said as he stood up and began to head for the exit.

Security alarms started to blare loudly as soon as they walked through the doors.

"Shit!" Bryan grumbled. "That old bastard must've alerted Jin."

Anna gasped in fear. "We should hurry." Anna said worryingly as she ran towards the elevators. "If that's true then Nina could be in trouble as well!"

Bryan's eyes widen at the thought. "You're right!" He said as he followed behind her.

Anna quickly pressed the button for the elevator and the doors immediately opened. They both quickly ran inside and took it to the underground parking lot. They are supposed to take the secret elevator in the parking lot to the roof of the building, but Bryan wanted to take it to Jin's office. There is no way he is leaving the building without Nina. He grew grew anxious with every passing second.

The elevator alerted them that they had reached their desired floor and the doors slowly opened. Anna gasped while Bryan cursed under his breath when they saw dozens of Mishima soldiers waiting for them.

Bryan gritted his teeth in anger. "I don't have time for this shit!" He growled as he quickly darted off the elevator. He punched one of the soldiers hard then quickly pulled out his machine gun and shot another. One soldier tried to attack from behind, but Bryan swiftly dodge the assault and kicked the soldier; sending him flying across the parking lot.

Anna watched Bryan as he mercilessly punched, kicked and shot numerous soldiers. He seemed different somehow, Anna thought. Feral and wild.

Suddenly a soldier entered the elevator and attacked Anna with a punch. Anna swiftly ducked the attack then kneed him hard in the stomach. The soldier fell over and yelped in pain. She then quickly pulled out her machine gun and shot the man dead.

Anna quickly ran out of the elevator. She saw Bryan surrounded by soldier. A huge brawl ensued around him. Anna knew that Bryan was going to need some help so she pointed her gun at the crowd of men and carefully shot them dead one at a time. Bryan was able to fight back as crowd began to thin out.

Anna continued to fire at soldiers until she ran out of bullets. She reached around her belt and pulled out a magazine to reload her gun. Suddenly, one of the soldiers attacked her from behind. The soldier hit her hard behind her head. Anna felt her body go limp. Her vision blurred as her body hit the ground. The last thing she heard was Bryan calling out her name.
