Sex was not what Adisa expected and she wasn't entirely sure what she expected because it was never explained to her. She could hear the irritation in Loki's voice, when he had to explain sex to her but the irritation was not directed towards her. Her parents should have explained this to her. Then again they never expected Adisa to be married. Loki wasn't positive what Adisa thought, but he was sure it was childlike which made him love her more.

Adisa did not enjoy their first, second or third encounter. She had explained to Loki that she didn't much care for it at all, and the idea of never having sex didn't sit well with Loki. He loved Adisa, but there was some things that he could not live without and sex was one of them. He assured her that in time she would come to enjoy it, that they just needed to find out what she liked.

She blushed at the thought, and wasn't willing to go deeper into the conversation with him, but she still continued to try. Eventually after many sessions Loki discovered her issue was she wasn't relaxed enough. Everything was so new to her that she stiffened up and wouldn't allow herself to enjoy a physical relationship with him.

He had also noted that Adisa didn't like being naked, sometime after 'love making' (which is what she would call it, if they ever spoke about it) she would slip out of bed and put her night gown back on. He never seemed to notice when she did this, but he expected that she waited for him to fall asleep.

He was amazed that she always put her night gown back on the proper way, and never once crawled back into bed with it on inside out or backwards. Adisa was an expert at finding the seams of her night gown, and could easily feel the way the front of the night dress dipped down for her breasts.

Loki would have enjoyed it more; if they woke up together naked but he couldn't expect anything less from her. He did find that he enjoyed the way her night dress would ride up in the middle of the night sometimes exposing her bottom or sometimes even a shoulder. He found this a lot sexier than if she were to just be naked beside him.

On one particular morning Loki raised early to deal with a few things, he tried to slip out of the room and allow Adisa to sleep but nothing seemed to sneak past her. She stirred as soon as he slithered out of bed, and as he got ready she sat up in their bed tiredly thinking.

He was just about ready when she threw the covers off of herself, grabbing a soft blanket with her and tip toed towards the fire place. She would probably go back to sleep on the couch by the fire, which seemed to be a new habit for her.

"Adisa, on your right." He said simply warning her that she was too close to a table that had shifted from its normal spot. She would have bumped into it without his warning and spilled all of his books on top onto the floor. She instantly knew what he was talking about and shifted her body just enough that she narrowly avoided it.

Her hands tiredly searched for the couch and when she found it, she expertly slid herself into the soft cushions. She pulled the blanket up to her chin, and quickly fell into a soft slumber. She was still listening to Loki shuffle about the room, but her mind was far away. She was coming in and out of her dreams, excitedly chasing the colours she wanted to see so badly.

Loki finished dressing himself moments later and slid himself onto the couch beside her. A few strands had made their way into her face and he brushed them away. Her eyes fluttered open and she took a deep breath of warm air.

"I'll be back around noon, Mother has invited us to lunch. Don't sleep the day away." He joked, she stirred a little her mind slowly thinking of a response. He wouldn't allow her to sleep the entire day away. It was unlike her to sleep as much as she did, but it was because Loki didn't allow her much of a full night's sleep. Her body was like a drug, and sometimes he woke up in the middle of the night craving her. It would settle down in a couple of months but for now, he enjoyed the strange addiction.

"I wouldn't have to sleep all day, if someone let me sleep at night." She said, shifting her weight off her hip. Loki laughed enjoying the annoyed look that crossed her face, he wanted to kiss her but he would never leave the room if he did. Giving her hand a gentle squeeze he removed himself from the room, off to handle private affairs.

Adisa curled herself up into a tighter ball and drifted off back to sleep. Adisa had no way of knowing what time it was, unless someone told her. Bran would normally squawk early in the morning, agitated by the other ravens who seemed to frequent the small garden below their bedroom. He would return often to check on Adisa until she was ready to set out by herself.

So it would have been easy for her to sleep through the entire day. She was fortunate that Loki kept tabs on how much time she slept, and would often send a maid to help her get up. She was growing far to comfortable in their chambers, and he would much rather she didn't spend her entire life locked away in one room.

Adisa jumped when the door opened and a maid rushed in. The maid chirped a bunch of apologies for startling the young princess. Adisa waved her off, her mind foggy. She had been dreaming about a rush of colours, and if the maid hadn't walked into the room she would have startled awake very soon.

"Prince Loki sent me to start a bath." She said, quickly rushing her way into the bathroom. Adisa had tried to place her voice, she wasn't sure she knew this maid but she had met so many people in the past couple of weeks that she forgot who was her maid, Loki's maid, or just general staff. The maid did as she was told and quickly filled the massive tub up with water.

Adisa wondered why Loki had insisted she have a bath, because they had shared one the night prior but she didn't question the care her husband provided for her. Rubbing her tired eyes, she slowly poked her toes out of the blanket curling them as they hit the cold air. Silently Adisa waited for the bath to be finished, an odd feeling overcame Adisa almost as if she was going to be ill but she soon forgot this feeling when a rush of wings fluttered into the room and Bran hopped into her lap.

It had felt like a life time since she had ran her fingers through the creatures feathers, and it was indeed an odd sensation. Underneath his feathers was a soft warm skin, he of course had dander, and when she pulled her fingers out of his feathers they were almost powdery. She quickly noted that she needed to get Bran a bird bath, she would have to ask Loki because he was the one who looked over all her affairs. The maid came back out into the bed room muttering about something before speaking to her.

"Princess, your bath is ready." The maid chimed walking around the room. Normally the maids would straighten the room up a little bit, putting furniture back into its rightful place because she often bumped into things. This maid did not. Adisa nodded her head picking her bird friend up and throwing him. He quickly took flight and flew back to his perch. Adisa was sure that the scene would have looked odd to anyone who was watching.

"Thank you, but I seem to have forgotten your name." Adisa admitted, avoiding the small table Loki warned her about earlier. The maid remained silent for a moment as if Adisa had asked her a hard question and Adisa was quick to ignore it. Some of the maids were odd creatures.

Adisa passed the maid, who was much taller then she and made her way into the bathroom. The tub sat in the middle of the room and was fairly deep. Normally the bathroom grew very hot in steamy, but that was typically when Loki ran a bath. He liked the water hot, and Adisa was sure it was something to do with his heritage (but Loki really just liked how pink and flush her skin would get). He didn't seem to feel temperatures like normal people.

Pulling her nightdress over her head Adisa folded it neatly and placed it on the sink counter where it wouldn't get wet. Her hands didn't brush the towels like it normally would and for a moment it caught her off guard. Adisa assured herself that although it was odd for them not to be there, that the maid must have placed them closer to the tub. Which wasn't as big of a deal when it was her, but Loki hated them close to the tub because they always got a bit damp.

Finally Adisa found her way to the tub, and to steady herself she placed her hand on the cold metallic surface. The tub when filled with hot water usually took on a similar temperature, so Adisa knew that the bath was not hot enough to her liking. She would quickly freeze in the water, and just to make sure how much hot water needed to be added she reached a hand down into the freezing water.

Hair quickly stood up on her skin. There was no way that the hot water had been used at all, slightly annoyed that the maid had been that dense Adisa went to use her other hand to turn on the hot water when the maid came back into the room.

"My name is Horril." She said, scaring Adisa. She had forgotten about the maid, and quickly confusion took hold of her. A woman named Horril was indeed odd but Adisa didn't get a chance to question it. A sharp pain wrapped around her wrist as something grabbed hold of her, and then with great force it pulled her into the deep bath. Adisa could have sworn at that moment she heard a man's laughter and a cry from Bran.

The creature in the bath quickly tried to wrap itself around her, and she had no idea which way was up. Her worst fear was quickly becoming a reality, and as she fought to grab onto something the creature seemed to become stronger. Finally for what seemed like hours Adisa found the edge of the tub and tried to pull herself out, only managing to pull her face above water for a few seconds. Enough time to scream and bring warm air into her lungs before she was pulled back under.

The struggle continued until Adisa no longer had strength in her arms, and even if she still wanted to pull herself up out of the water there was no possible way she could. The creature continued to wrap around her, squeezing what little air she had left out of her lungs, leaving her no choice but to inhale the freezing water.

For a brief moment Adisa thought her life was over, before a large pair of hands grabbed her arms pulling her from the tub. Adisa greedily tried to bring the sweet air into her lungs but was contracted by the creature around her. The large hands grabbed for the creature on her chest ripping it away from her skin. Hot blood splattered into her face, and she cried out when its scales sliced some of her skin open, but was very grateful that she could finally breathe. The sound of something hitting the wall echoed through the bathroom and Adisa could no longer hold in the terror that took over her body.

She started to cry.

"It is alright Adisa, I have you. You are safe." Thor responded wrapping something warm around her, she couldn't even be mortified that her brother had seen her naked, she was far too upset that she had nearly died.

She hadn't even realized that Frigga had arrived and ushered her oldest son out of the bathroom, forcing him to take the dead creature with him. She then tended to the terrified young woman in the middle of the floor. Today would not be a day that she shared lunch with her newly beloved daughter and sons.

"We are very lucky that Thor happened to be walking by and that bird can fly swiftly." Frigga said, giving Thor a quick look. She hated to praise Thor in front of Loki but she was sure that Loki somewhere deep down felt the same way. Even if Loki cast his brother dirty looks. He had seen Adisa naked, and although she was upset she hasn't seemed to come to the conclusion yet that Thor now knew what she looked like. But Loki knew full well that his brother had not only seen his wife naked but touched her.

Frigga placed a hand on her chest in thought; she was upset that something so horrible had happened. She had no idea how a maid had managed to slip such a creature through the castle, and not be seen. She knew that it was not possible and who ever had attacked Adisa was not a maid.

"Do we know who this Horril is?" Odin asked leaning his face into one hand; he almost seemed bored if the family hadn't known he was slowly boiling with rage. It wasn't enough that Adisa a member of the royal family was attacked, but that they attacked a blind woman who couldn't defend herself.

"Horril is the man who cast the blinding curse on Adisa." Loki said slowly, he tried to appear as if it was general knowledge but his mother knew him all too well. She had known Loki sought Horril for a long time. He could never get away with anything when she was around, she could read him like an open book.

"Loki, what have you done?" she questioned her voice filled with horror. She had every right to be upset with him, because it was unlikely that Horril would have tried to murder Adisa unless he was provoked, and Loki was very good at provoking people.

"Nothing the little beast didn't deserve." He muttered trying to cover the scowl on his mouth. Odin shifted in his chair, he was ready to explode in anger and Loki was his target. Loki should have known better, and yet he still stirred up trouble.

"You could have gotten her killed!" His mother yelled, surprising everyone in the room. It was unlike Frigga to yell but she was upset. Loki made a vow to protect his wife, and he was doing a poor job of it. She expected more from him. Loki's posture stiffened and he opened his mouth to fight back but his mother wasn't finished.

"You opened up a door and allowed a person into your home who wants to destroy the person you love most." Loki had enough at this point, and although he wanted to sneer at his mother he knew she was right. He started something with someone who was entirely unpredictable. He let the anger take the best of him and now someone else might pay the price.

Loki couldn't handle the looks his family was giving him so he left the room marching his way towards his chambers. He scowled at the guards who stood outside his door, and challenged them to stop him. The guards were of course not stupid enough to stop Loki, none of them wanted to be on the receiving end of his anger.

Loki almost slammed to door behind him, but stopped when he saw the room was pitch black and Adisa skidded to one side of the room from another. She settled into a corner pressing her back against the walls. This way she knew something couldn't sneak up behind her.

"Adisa?" Loki called watching her press herself closer into the wall. Her reaction hurt, he had expected the sound of his voice to be calming to her, and for her to at least crawl out of her very poor hiding spot but she didn't. Careful not to scare her, he crept his way across the room.

When he finally reached her he had decided that instead of pulling her out of the corner, that he was going to sit with her until she felt safe. She was hiding for a reason, and for once she needed someone to come into her world. She needed someone to understand how terrifying the world had suddenly become.

Loki's strong hands had little effect on her, and even if he held her in his arms it took him a very long time to calm her down. Something in Loki shifted that day, he had made a lot of people angry in his life. But Horril was not someone who he should have even attempted to play games with. Horril had tried to take someone who meant everything to him. He knew at that moment that he truly had to change if he wanted to keep Adisa safe.

He knew now that he would possibly never fix her eyes, but he would rather have her blind than dead. The death of Adisa would mean the death of his sanity, because she was the one who kept him grounded.
