Loki had seen a lot of blood in his lifetime, and it had never bothered him before. But Adisa's blood was different. He couldn't sleep without visions of red hands, and he couldn't stop the feelings that rushed to his chest. Empty would be a welcoming feeling, because the only thing he could feel was pain.

Adisa had managed to live, but only for a short time. The healers tried their hardest but there was just too much damage to her body. Not to mention the amount of pain she was in. In the end she had slipped into death as quickly as Loki slipped into madness.

He had yet to leave her side, and although her bloody body was covered up with a white sheet Loki had already memorized what she looked like. He had tried to assure himself that maybe it was a good thing she hadn't survived, but he was too selfish to believe that.

He needed her.He simply could not live without her.

Frigga had attempted to remove Loki from her body, and even tried to get a minimal amount of food into his system but his stone cold silence made it impossible. She knew Loki blamed himself, and she knew he was in more pain than she could imagine.

She finally realized after many days that her son had intended to wilt away beside his wife. He had lost all will or hope to live, and she feared that if he found anything in that darkness it would be madness like they had never seen before. A madness that they would not be able to save him from.

Frigga tightly clutched her hands, hoping that somehow the answer would come to her. She knew it never would. Loki was a complex person. She stepped into the cold room, and tried to ignore the smell that lingered there. Soon the smell would become unbearable.

"Loki we must …" Her voice was soft and unsure, Loki didn't flinch when she spoke. He knew she was there for a long time, silently watching him. He couldn't stand her pity. He couldn't stand anyone's pity. None of them could understand how much he loved Adisa, and he was sick of them pretending they loved her just as much as he did.

"Leave…" He demanded his voice firm and hard. He knew what she wanted and he knew that she was determined that he leave the room. She wanted Loki to stop grieving Adisa, but he never could. He loved her too much.

Frigga was terrified she would lose her son, and would do anything to stop it.

"Its tradition..." she argued, trying to stir something within him that would allow him the hold he had over her corpse. Loki's head finally snapped into his mother's direction anger etched on his face.

"It's not MY tradition!" he snarled, catching his mother off guard. A brief vision flashed through her eyes, and for a moment she was truly terrified. She saw the darkness in Loki she never hoped to see again slowly creeping back into his soul. Slowly growing into something much more terrible then before.

Swallowing slowly she gripped her hands tightly and left the room, almost dropping to her knees when she saw a second vision.

Loki could hear the shuffle of his mother's skirts, and he ignored how she almost fell in the hallway. At that moment in time he didn't care about his mother, or his family. None of them mattered anymore because the person he cared most about in the world was gone.

He couldn't stand it any longer. He hated how the cold radiated off her body. He could no longer hold her hand. Her fingers were stiff and cold, a constant reminder she was dead. The warmth she carried was gone days ago. Standing up with a force that knocked the chair over Loki waved his hands over her body setting it ablaze.

He didn't dare breathe in, he knew what burning bodies smelt like and he didn't need to know what Adisa's smelled like. He gave her burning body one last glance before he turned to leave the room. His mind was slowly starting to form a plan, and he could already feel the darkness growing only this time it was welcome. He wanted the darkness to take over, because then it would fill the void he was feeling.

Adisa had no idea what had happened, but at that moment it didn't matter. She was happy. She had already forgotten the rush of colours that she had seen only moments before because she realized she could see. What she saw was breath taking, and she had to sit down to take everything in.

An open field with long whisks of grass, and on the edge of this field was a forest. A dirt road big enough for 3 or 4 people was visible, but she hadn't even thought of following it yet. She would have given anything to see, and now that she could she was going to memorize every piece of it. Just incase her new vision wasn't forever.

She knew she heard someone approaching her, but she didn't care to look. She didn't want the field to disappear from her sight, so she simply waited for them. She could tell they were female by the soft steps, and that she was very tall. So she was not surprised at all when the woman sat down beside her.

She had a massive height and for a moment had Adisa wondering how she could have walked so softly. Not that size mattered sometimes; her mother had hulking steps that often shook the pottery in their cabinets and her mother was a small woman.

"It's more beautiful if you move beyond this field." The woman spoke, sending shivers up her spine. Her voice was like something she had never heard. There was a warmth and hardness to it. Adisa knew at that moment that this woman was not someone to anger. Not that Adisa ever wanted to make someone angry.

"I couldn't imagine anything more beautiful than this." Adisa said softly pulling her legs closer to her chest. If was strange to see her own legs and hands, she had imagined her hands much larger than they were and she had no idea of the small freckles that littered her body. Just in the very few seconds she could see, she learned so much about herself she never knew before.

"Do you know where you are child?" Adisa found this question strange; she really had no idea where she was. Something in her gut told her she wouldn't like it, so when she shook her head and finally looked at the woman she finally understood what was happening.

The woman's appearance didn't come as a shock to her. For all she knew it was normal for people to look like she did. She appeared as if she had two halves of a body placed together. Adisa knew better though, she was looking at none other than Hel.

At some point of her life she would have arrived here, but she didn't expect to be here this early. She still had so much to live for, but somehow it didn't bother her.

"I'm dead aren't I?" Adisa softly spoke watching as Hel tilted her head. Hel's full attention was on Adisa who was bewildered to see someone having a conversation with her. The idea made her heart race, the idea was over whelming. How would she know any social ques. She already couldn't tell what Hel was thinking.

"Yes." Adisa's response didn't come as a surprise to Hel. She had after all seen to thousands of people. There could only be so many reactions from the dead, but somehow the girl still fascinated her. Adisa casted her eyes to the ground for a brief second, but when she realized that she was going to cry she tilted her face back. Hoping that this would somehow stop the tears.

"Why the tears little one?" Hel asked, she was indeed curious what the young girl was thinking. Adisa quickly wiped the unwanted tears away and took a deep breath to calm her.

"Loki is not here with me. This would have made him very happy." Adisa murmured clenching her jaw tightly. Hel wasn't sure what Adisa meant and she didn't care enough to ask.

"You shouldn't worry about such things; he will be here one day too." Hel half expected the girl to rejoice but when anger flared in Adisa's eyes she was surprised.

"Do not lie to me. Lying is a disgusting habit." Adisa snapped standing up from the ground. Her body swayed unnaturally. Her vision was throwing off the rest of her body.

"I'm not an idiot, Loki has committed unthinkable crimes. He will not be joining me here." Hel held her head proudly, Adisa was right. Loki had committed unthinkable crimes, but she knew little of the judgment Hel passed. If Loki created some great good in the world, one day he could join her here. But that would never happen when he slowly descended into madness as they spoke.

Adisa had already started to walk away from the God. She was walking slowly, taking her time out of fear of tripping. Her feet felt strange to her, much like the rest of her body.

"You are going the wrong way." Hel said to Adisa. Adisa stopped walking, and shyly turned to the God who now stood. Her tall from casted a shadow so large that it almost engulfed Adisa from where she was standing.

"I have other plans for you Adisa." Hel said, holding a hand out for her to take. Adisa was afraid. She knew Hel was a tricky character, and she had no idea what she would be agreeing to. Maybe Loki had wronged her in the past, and this was her way of getting back at him.

"This is a trick." Adisa said firmly, planting her feet into the ground. She would not allow herself to be fooled.

"What would I have to gain by tricking a dead woman?" Hel asked firmly. Adisa couldn't think of anything, and even if she could she had no idea how to tell if the woman was lying to her. Quickly Adisa decided that she really had no choice but to trust the woman. She was after all the one who placed her in this afterlife.

Adisa couldn't think of anything that the woman could want with her. She did not take the hand she offered; instead she chose to be at least 20 paces behind her. That way, if something were to happen she could still run.

Loki's eyes burned as he slipped through the shadows. He didn't require a lot of time for his next actions; he had somehow always known what he was going to do. So after he knocked the 12 guards in front of Horril's cell unconscious and stepped into the light of his cell he knew fully what he was about to do.

Horril was expecting him, and in his madness he turned to Loki with a smile. Loki could clearly see the deep cuts on his arms where Adisa had dug her nails into and it enraged him even more. Loki tried with great difficulty to keep the rage from boiling into his chest. He could not lose control. If he lost control he lost everything.

"Finally we meet." Horril chimed tilting his head dramatically. Loki didn't find the humor what so ever, and he imagined this is what it would be like to deal with him sometimes. Suddenly the smile on Horril's face dropped. He didn't like that Loki's face was emotionless, if anything he would have liked a look of disgust to pass his face.

"After searching so long I would have thought you would be happier to see me." Loki reached within himself, and found that darkness his parents were so afraid of. It was almost too easy to switch off all his nagging thoughts. He could leave Horril for a public execution, or he could do it himself. For Adisa.

The very thought of her made up his mind.

"I'm very happy to see you." Loki said, stepping into the cell.
