A/N: Hiya all! Welcome back to another chapter of this fic. Haa~ I'm feeling pretty good about this, since it took me a god awful three long weeks to finish typing this chapter -the Inspiration just up and left, so I was kinda stuck. Hopefully, you guys agreed. This is mostly filler chapter just for fun. And also, twelve reviews! Wow! Thanks a lot guys! I totally appreciate this! Kudos to you guys!

GreenDarkness: It was kinda necessary, but don't worry, we're moving back to the action genre pretty soon, like, next chapter. Seriously.

GirlFish: Thanks. And yes, Gengar is caught by the evil Saturn. Too bad, but I kinda hate her even though I am the one who made her. Meh. Anyhow, Danny won't be getting those Danny-is-a-Rare-Pokemon mumbo jumbo, so rest assured. About Ash and co., yes, they're going to appear. I think it's on the next town after Eterna, but I can't answer anymore of your questions cuz' this is already enough a Spoiler as it is. Sorry.

Mymag99: Here it is. Tadaa~

Kimera20: And I love you too! You're awesome, my bro.

KaeterinaRomanov: Healing Factor is kinda an overpowered ability to have, despite lacking impressiveness. And yes, Leo is totally loving it.

Seantriana: Disaster Duo sounded like an apt title for them. Y'know, those two Officers, Cross and Lilith, are actually my vision of an awesome cop. That says a lot about my character, don't you agree?

Pegasus Sword Master: Really? I thought I was making it too brief with not enough description to paint a better understanding to it, but thanks anyway. And you're right about Houndoom, I totally forgot about that. I just slapped the Cruciatus there and bingo, you got an Extrasensory. Team Galactic.. you'll see.

Matt: You'll have to see it for yourself.

Phantomspirit12: You, my friend, have the same view of awesome cop as me. *High five!

JewelMoonstone: I made sure to slow down a bit by changing the perspective of the story and thanks. I am glad you liked the Cops, but what in the world is Halirsy?

ZyteWCDb: I hope you liked the confrontation in this chapter.

Zelith: I know. Believe me, dude. I know.

Well, that's it for the review reply for this chapter. You guys are so awesome! Leave me lots of reviews for this chapter too, guys! Well, then, without further ado, let the show begin!

Chapter 15

Danny blinked his eyes open blearily, groggily taking in the sight of the white ceiling and the throbbing headache currently raking his head like a sledgehammer on a brick wall. A sense of deja vu suddenly washed over him, the memory of his first day in this world coming back to remind him that yes, this situation was indeed familiar.

Beep...

Come to think of it, there was a mysterious weight holding him down from all over the place throughout his body and the bed was suspiciously letting out alarming creaks and groans every slight movement he made. Most of all, there was wet and sticky feeling coming from random parts of his body that made him feel as uncomfortable as he is disgusted.

Beep... Beep...

Danny numbly turned his head to the side, staring at the annoying piece of machinery sitting innocently beside his bed. The halfa briefly wondered whether he could destroy it and get away from conscequences before shoving the idea back into the imaginary recycle bin in his head. Slowly, Danny raised his head to look at what was weighing him down and quickly deadpanned.

On his chest, curled up like a baby, was Riptide. The Sea Otter Pokemon was mumbling incoherent things about him, a park and some other random things involving cotton candies and unicorns in his sleep as a weird, cartoonish bubble appeared from his nose, inflating and deflating with the rhytm of his breath.

On top of both of his arms was Torch and Zenith, occupying the right and left respectively. Torch was, to his instant annoyance, drooling a copious amount of spit to his hand and was quickly forming a large wet-stain on the white bed sheet that looked reminiscent of Texas. The humorous side of him marveled at it while the majority of him was just repulsed at the amount of drool covering his arm. Zenith though, was sleeping as silent and unmoving as a rock. Not to mention, just as heavy.

His left arm was blue from the wrist down.

Although covered by the form of his Oshawott, Danny could see a bush of spiky red hair from the edge of the bed. Leo was, no doubt, the source of the extreme weight crushing his legs. He was also drooling, if the feeling of wetness was anything to go by.

'Heavy..' He groaned in his mind. Danny twitched his legs, trying to get Leo to wake up and move. It was a futile effort, however, as the redhead remained as unmoveable as a mountain and remained deep in his sleep. Another twitch, this time, harder and more noticeable than the previous one, and still, there was no sign of the redhead waking up.

Danny sighed and laid his head back down only to splutter and cough in surprise. There, hanging like a bat on the ceiling, was Gale, fast asleep and unconscious while beside him, sticking his back to the wall like a ninja, was Grovyle who was similarly asleep. Then, as if on cue of his notice, the bird fell down from his perch and impacted right on Leo's head. Danny mentally cheered, hoping that the two would wake up and move the others off of him.

No such luck.

Leo and Gale both remained asleep, not even registering the growing bump on top of their heads. Danny sweatdropped and sighed, resigning himself to endure his fate as a makeshift bed for his Pokemon and travelling companion.

'This sucks. Royally.' He thought sullenly to himself, glaring at the ceiling while muttering profanities under his breath.

The next day, morning..

"Look at them Cross! Don't they look cute together!?"

Danny groaned at the loud squeal, his sensitive hearing ringing from the sudden impact of the high-pitch noise assaulting him. Blearily opening his eyes to search for the source of the discomfort, Danny quickly regretted his action when a flash of light got him in the eye, followed by the sound most associated to the clicking of camera.

"Kyaaa! So cute! I want to tie them to a chair and ship them off to my room!" That statement was disturbing enough it jolted him up to full-consciousness. Danny once again tried to sit up, only to feel the numbness that invaded his entire body. He grimaced, realizing that his Pokemon plus his companion was still using him as a makeshift bed.

"Lilith, that statement was wrong on so many levels that it was disturbing, even for me. Besides, look at that photo! The boy was grimacing, the mutt was drooling an entire lake's worth of water, the ball-thing was doing an imitation of a stone, the baby otter was.. well, it was cute no matter how it pained me to say it, and that boy and the starly.. they were hugging like lovers. There was so many wrong-ness in it that it caused me physical pain just by looking at it." A more masculine voice stated gruffly.

"Oh hush, you stupid man. You wouldn't understand a thing about cuteness even if it slapped you in the face with a steel-toed high-heels." The voice Danny now recognized as Officer Lilith's said.

"O-officer Lilith?" Danny asked, rubbing his eyes to clear it off the last remnants of sleep, a task made difficult by the fact that his head was fressed on the surprisingly comfy hospital pillow.

"Ah! He's awake!" The special agent moved closer to him and Danny realized with a start that she was now wearing a, scanty maid outfit with a skirt that was too tight and short to be morally acceptable in public and showing too much skin and cleavage to be considered decent. "Good Morning! How're you this fine morning?"

Danny had to physically move his gaze away from the admirable cleavage she's showing and look at her face instead. "Uncomfortable." He said, staring at the Pokemon and Leo for emphasize while also distracting him from the sight before him. "Can you get them off of me? They're heavy."

With a mischievous smile on her face, Lilith nodded. Somehow, a feeling that he'd quite literally dug his own grave with the request settled in the depth of his gut as the scantily clad woman picked up one of her Pokeballs and popped it open, summoning a.. Oh my god, it's an Exploud. Danny paled and struggled to pull his arms off of Torch and Zenith and to cover his ears.

Lilith smiled. "Uproar."

With that one word, Danny's world exploded into a cacophony of all the world's horrible noises. Exploud roared, his large mouth gaping as big as it possibly could so as to allow the maximum volume and output of his horrible voice to be channeled. The effect was explosive, both literally and metaphorically. The Pokemon, not just his but every single pokemon in hearing distance, jolted awake from their slumber and quickly gritted their teeth in pain as they tried, and miserably failed, to block the horrible noise echoing through the air. Glasses and other fragile stuff shattered before a shockwave created purely by the strength and intensity of the sound wave blew through town.

Throughout the ordeal, Officer Lilith just calmly read her magazine with a smile on her face and a cute, pink, bunny ear-muffs on her ear.

It took some moment for them all to reorient themselves from the explosively loud morning call and when they did, the first thing they do was glare at the female officer with all the hatred and malice of a grumpy Steelix, which, while admirable and praise-deserving, was sadly uneffective against the maid-costumed woman.

"What?" She asked innocently, making a show of closing her magazine like a dignified lady before pulling off her earmuffs and sipping a cup of tea which had appeared out of thin air at some point in the chaos. "Did you hear that just now? Damn, what an inconsiderate guy to have set such a loud alarm at this ungodly hour!" She complained.

That was you, bitch! Everyone thought as one.

"If you weren't assigned as my partner and killing you would have guaranteed me a surefire kick out as well as five years of prison, I would have embedded a bullet in that empty space you call a head, woman." Officer Cross grumbled, rubbing his ears and wincing from phantom pains of having his ears blown off by all the force of a nuclear explosion milimetres from your face.

"Aww, I know you love me too much to do that, you shy bastard." She respondedly coyly. "Come and give this pretty lady a hug!" Cross quickly stretched his hand, just in time to stop the woman's advances by holding her face, leaving her comically clawing at the space between them like some kind of hug-craving zombie.

"I think I have lost all sense of hearing.." Leo moaned from his spot on the floor, swirls replacing his golden eyes. "I can't even hear the silence.." He drawled in a slurred, drunken-manner.

::You can't hear silence, Leo. That's the reason it's called silence in the first place.:: Grovyle responded flatly as he tried to stop his ears from ringing like a broken alarm.

::I need a doctor.:: Zenith groaned from the floor before passing out.

::Make it two for me..:: Torch swiftly followed suit.

::I saw my grandma.. She's calling for me.:: Riptide mumbled, twitching like a poisoned mouse as his eyes stared unfocusedly to the space.

"Wait, don't go with her, Rip! You don't even have a grandma! Don't follow that stranger okay!?" Danny fused over his youngest, sort-of-son, Pokemon, shaking him like a child would a stuffed toy. "Don't leave your dad!"

"Alright, enough of this." Cross flicked his wrist and easily pushed back the advancing woman, his deep barritone voice easily cutting through the chaos. "We've got questions for you, kid. Now, sit."

"I've been sitting this whole time, though."

"Sit straighter, wimp!" Cross growled.

"Yessir." Danny squeaked, sitting himself as straight as it was humanly possible.

"Now, let's get to the point. What the heck are you?" Cross pulled one of the chairs and sat on it, quickly assuming the interrogation pose every self-respecting, high-position member of security force seems to know. "You, kid, healed from a Toxicroak's poison which stood up there in terms of toxicity and lethality with Dragalge's, Seviper's, Tentacruel's and Drapion's in a matter of hours. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would have bullshit on that."

"What about Beedrills?" Cross turned to the side to deadpan on the still unsteady Leo.

"Most person don't get to live to suffer through their poison when getting impaled by those drills are lethal enough to actually kill them in one fell swoop." Cross said matter of factly. "When it comes to Beedrill, you don't need to fear the poison, just the sting alone is enough."

"I see your point."

"The fact that you.. well, transformed, for a lack of a better word, is enough to clue us that you're anything but a normal fourteen year old. So, answer please." Cross asked.

"Err... would you believe me If I told you that-"

"He is a crossbreed of a human and a Pokemon." Leo finished. Danny turned and blinked owlishly at him while Leo skillfuly ignored him and continued to weave his tale. "His mom is a Frostlass while his dad's a human. He told me back in the haunted mansion that Prof. Rowan found him with the frostlasses and took him back to Sandgem with him as a foster grandson. Right, Danny?"

"Uhm.. sure, yeah!" Danny grinned, internally thankful of Leo's lying skills. The fact that he was thankful over such an ability was a huge insight of his character. Note the sarcasm.

"Hmm.. So you're saying that you're a half ghost, half human thing? That doesn't explain the transformation thing. And fuck, your dad's pretty sick to crossbreed with a Pokemon. Well, at least you're human-looking and not some kind of deformed abomination. Gotta thank the small blessings, kid."

"I resent that comment." Danny glared at the foul-mouther Officer. "And me transforming is merely the process needed to activate my abilities. Kinda like unsheating a sword."

"Whatever. So, as I said, you're a ghost human hybrid with your type being Ghost and Ice, right?" Danny nodded at the conclusion. "Heh, ain't this brat unique? A half-pokemon training Pokemons. Well, whatever. At least you're not some kinda biological weapon or something. I'd have ta kill ya then." Cross fingered his guns, letting a bloodthirsty grin slip onto his face

Danny shivered. Psycho.

"Now, I gotta question! Are you bipolar or just plain psychotic?" Leo pointed a finger at the man, glaring annoyedly at him. "You almost blew my head off and then you just walked away like you never even tried to kill an innocent thirteen year old with your gun, an Ice Beam and a Charge Beam!"

"Cross here has a chronic Multiple Personality Disorder with the trigger being guns and other firearms. Usually, the more psychotic and bloodthirsty personality comes out when he was in direct contact with, such as holding, a gun. You've got a first hand experience with it, I'm sure." Lilith explained with an easy smile.

Leo shivered, paling. "Unfortunately."

"By the way, I've got a question as well." The maid-costumed Officer said, her smile turning a shade darker and sinister than before. "Are you the one who's hitting on my little sister?" She asked.

"Little Sister?" Leo tilted her head to the side in confusion.

"A while back, my little sister told me about an interesting, upbeat and funny redheaded teen who came to her first contest to cheer on her. She said his name's Leo." Lilith said, leaning forward with an interrogating look on her face. "Lily said he's pretty sweet and cute. Are you the Leo she's speaking off?"

Danny and Leo gasped in shock, both for a completely different reason. Danny was shocked that someone so reserved and well mannered like Lily could have a sister so.. indecent and shameless like Lilith while Leo was shocked that the girl he likes thinks so highly of him. It was, in his mind, a positive sign.

"Y-you're Lily's sister!?" The unspoken disbelief was as clear as a rampaging Groudon. Lilith shot him an offended look, totally annoyed by the thought.

"Sh-she thinks so highly of me? Ehe- ehehehhhehehehehe.." A blush quickly set itself ablaze on Leo's face, turning his face as red as his hair even as pinkish steam started to float off his head. He grinned a dorky smile, laughing like an idiot high on weed. "I feel pretty good about myself right now! Hey, hey, what else did she say about me?"

"There's one other thing." She smiled. Danny and Cross discreetly made their way out of the room before hightailing it out of the building, a weird bond of camaraderie forming between the two of them in regards to escaping the mad woman. "Boomburst."

"Ha?"

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

Later..

By afternoon, Danny was deemed clear of all residual toxins and was back to his full health in tiptop conditions, which was the only reason he could persuade Nurse Joy to release him off his bed and back to action. The Officers left soon after, paying for the damage Officer Lilith's Exploud had caused in the morning along with some hefty bribe to cover the accident from their boss and higher-ups to avoid further complications as well as the possible threat of firing.

Danny and Leo swiftly made their way to a restaurant, eager for some nice food to fill their growling stomach. Grovyle once again took to the rooftop, hopping around from one roof to another in his pattented ninja rooftop travel while Gale who wanted some fresh air, perched himself on top of Danny's left shoulder, pointing out random trivias about anything even remotely interesting, which weirdly includes even the uninteresting ones.

"You know, thanks about the safe earlier. I mean, they may not believe me about the whole lab accident thing If I were to tell them the truth." Danny said.

"Mm? Oh that. 'S fine, don't worry about it. I was a certified liar and an even better storyteller back in my place in Hoenn." Leo grinned, scratching the back of his head absently. "But you'll tell me everything, okay? I'm dying to hear Superhero stories!"

"Sure." Danny shared his grin. "To be honest, I haven't been entirely truthfull to either you or Prof. Rowen even though you both have been helping me and accompanying me through so much all this time. Guess I'll have to change that soon." Danny sniffed, a wry grin on his face.

"Awesome." Leo said before zooming off to a random restaurant. With an exasperated grin on his face, Danny made his way to follow the younger teen to the building where he had disappeared to.

::I think I will start calling you hedgehog from now on.:: Gale chirped from his shoulder.

"Hedgehog? Why hedgehog?"

::Well, you're just like the shy little hedgehog in my old bedtime story. Continuously searching for friends, but fearing rejection.:: Gale chirped back.

"I don't fear rejection." Danny scowled at the Starling Pokemon on his shoulder. "I'm just.. a bit distrustful."

::Because you're afraid.:: He insisted, shaking his head in amusement before taking off in the direction Grovyle and Leo had gone to. ::Don't worry, though. The shy little hedgehog in the story grew out of his fears and found his friends in the end. I'm sure that you could do just as well.::

"For someone who's slightly loose in the head, you're surprisingly insightful." Danny commented.

::There's only a thin line to differentiate genius and mad. I pride myself on standing in the middle.:: He chirped one last time, disappearing into the crowd.

"Growing out of fear, huh?" Danny mused to himself, absently walking ahead through the crowd of people milling in the town's street, mindful of the people around him so as not to crash on them. It only took him a short while to reach the restaurant and an even shorter time finding Leo. Even among the people with weirdly colored hair, Leo's spiky, blood red one still stood out among them.

"Have you ordered anything yet?" He asked, idly pulling a chair for him to sit.

"Nah.. been checking the menu for a while. Here." Leo slid the menu to him, allowing him to read it. There was several interesting ones- Oh, who was he kidding? It was all interesting, partly because it was all weirdly named and partly because it used unusual Pokemon meats as ingredients. I mean, who wasn't intrigued to try and find out what a Huntail taste like?

"Hm.. What do you think of Luvdisk meat?" Danny asked, not taking his eyes off the menu. "I'm not really familiar with the more exotic Pokemon dishes, so I don't really know."

Leo sparred him a glance from behind his own menu book. "To me, it tasted kinda bland and not to mention, it doesn't really have all that much meat once cooked. They kinda shrunk, y'know? You needed a lot of sauce to make it good too." He said, blowing a raspberry at the mention of the Heart-shaped Pokemon's taste. "I prefer Seviper. They taste like chicken and tastes awesome in spicy, Johto sauce."

"Hmm.. what about these Huntails?"

"Huntails taste pretty good when they're deep fried, kinda like an eel." Leo answered absently, flicking another page open with a slight movement of his fingers. "Crunchy and pretty salty with a hint of a spicy aftertaste."

"You're a culinary expert, aren't you?" Danny deadpanned at him from behind his menu.

"One of the best." He grinned smugly. "Excuse me, can I order?"

The waitress came over and quickly jotted down their order with Leo having his Crispy Seviper with Spicy Johto Sauce and Danny with his Deep Fried Huntail with Mayonaisse. Gale and Grovyle was given the standard Poke-food for their Type with Gale asking for a side dish of boiled Catterpie which was just plain disgusting for Danny.

"So, the Eterna Gym kinda specialize in Grass-Types, right?" Leo suddenly asked, tilting his head to the side as he played with his red and white Pokedex, scrolling down the screen to check on any additional information.

"Really? I didn't notice." Danny responded sarcastically.

"Huh. You're pretty slow in the head." Leo responded dully, blissfully unaware of the sarcasm. "I think I have a pretty good chance with this one. With Ponyta, Starly and Grovyle, I think I'll manage just fine." He said.

"Good for you. Torch, Zenith and, if possible, Riptide is going for this one." Danny said before he got a faceful of tea courtesy of a spluttering Leo. With a deadpan that was a cross between disgusted shock and annoyed scowl, Danny grabbed the nearest napkin and wiped his face clean of whatever unholy mix of tea and spit there was on his face.

Getting his cough under control, Leo turned to Danny and shot him a dumbfounded look. "Riptide? Are you mad, dude? He's still a kid and he's a water type! Don't you think you're being a bit too hasty? Even I am not crazy enough to put a baby Water type against a Grass type."

"Well.. maybe you're right. But he needs to gain experience too or he'll remain a baby forever." Danny replied.

"Then start from simpler things like spars and mock battles. I'm sure my and your Pokemon can give him some pointers." Leo assured him.

"Heh. You're right."

"I'm always right." Leo said, grinning smugly at the halfa. Danny was about to give the younger teen some very sarcastic remarks about his supposed wisdom when Leo suddenly perked up, or at least more than he already is, and showed him an orange watch strapped tightly to his wrist. "Check this out, Danny!" He grinned.

"You got yourself a new watch?" Danny asked, eyeing the thing with an appraising eye. "It's pretty cool."

::The term awesome is better suited for me.:: Danny jumped three feet into the air in surprise, accidentally knocking down his chair as a cartoonish face appeared on the screen of the watch.

"I-is that Rotom?" Danny asked.

::Correct.:: He droned in his classic, robotic monotone.

"Geez, you scared the crap outta me." Danny sighed, patting his chest to calm his heart as he pulled his fallen chair back up while apologizing for the ruckus. "What exactly are you doing in that watch anyway? I thought you stayed back in that haunted manor with the other ghosts." Danny asked, sitting himself back in his seat.

::Those pea-brained fools striked a deal with those psychotic humans to turn the Manor into a tourist trap of sorts now that Gengar's gone. Seeing as I lacked the.. fear factor in terms of appearance, well, let's just say I wasn't really appreciated.:: The Electric/Ghost dual Type stated.

"So you chose to accompany us?"

::Study would be a better term.::

"Study?" Danny tilted his head to the side in confusion. "What are you studying from us?"

::Human emotions and day-to-day interactions.:: The Plasma Pokemon answered, blinking his cartoonish eye displayed on the screen.

Danny would've liked to ask the Pokemon about many other things, about Ghost Types in general and his earlier comment about Gengar gone being another, but the food suddenly arrived and everything took a backseat in his mind as his stomach demanded his first priority, mainly by growling like a starved pack of Mightyena.

Later..

"This time, I'm going first." Leo declared as they made their way to the Gym building. Danny shrugged, not really caring about the turn. Besides, he'd gotten the first turn the first time around, so he didn't mind Leo getting his chance.

"Sure." Danny responded. "Good luck."

"Heh, thanks! I'mma gonna win this good." He stated.

The Gym building was just the same as any standard Gyms out there with the only difference being the inside, which was a maze made out of stylished rose bushes. After getting themselves registered for battle with the attendant, both trainers made their way through the labyrinth of roses.

"Well, let's get the show on the road."
