Left right left right left right. The gravel under his Zero's stolen sneakers crunched. He glanced over his shoulder quickly and found the Syrtex agent following close behind. He pumped his arms at his side and forced his legs to move faster - his fear gave him strength.

Up ahead, a fierce battle was unraveling in the streets of Jump City. Stray rays of alien energy shoot into the sky and guide him to Hanna. He was certian Hanna was there. And if he could could get to Hanna, he would be safe.

But first he had to get to Hanna.

He stumbled. Sweat dripped down his face. He'd been running for just over two hours and he's quickly losing energy. Note: he's loosing energy, not the will to fight.

For the past month Zero had wandered the country in attempt to remain under PrimaTechs radar. He spent no more than a day or two days in each place he visited and he always kept a low profile. Well, he tried anyways. Last week, when he was in Star City, he was spotted by the police and thrown in jail. The police said they were going to contact his parents and send him back home, they didn't have much luck. During his second night in jail he picked the lock using a paper clip dropped by one of the officers and broke out. He thought he was in the clear after that. He was mistaken.

Apparently PrimaTech had friends in high places.

Zero focused on the ledge of the adjacent building, jumped, and reaches out for the with fingers. His finger missed the ledge by a few mere centimeters and he free fell into the abandoned alleyway below.

He hit his head on the edge of a dumpster, rolled off the tapered surface, and hit the concrete alleyway.

Before he could get up PrimaTech Agents jumped on him and pulled his arms behind his back and tied his wrists together. A bitter tasting cloth was crammed into his mouth and he was overwhelmed by its overwhelming sweet smell. He fought back but found himself slipping away into a darkness that couldn't be fought.

He slowly opens his eyes and found that he was chained by his wrists and hanging about a foot above the ground. He's been captured. And best of all, his powers weren't working.a concrete floor beneath his feet. He lifted his head and looked around the dark and tiny room. It had no window, was made of concrete, had a single exposed glowing bulb hanging from the ceiling, and had one door opposite of him.

A deviously handsome blond haired blue eyed man with a blond mustache and a bone white lab coat stepped out of the shadows.

"Chase." Zero growled.

"I'm glad to see you're awake." he said.

"If your looking for the chip your waisting your time. I don't have it and I'm not going to tell you where it is."

The doctor chuckled. "I'm going to cut you a deal." He said as he wielded the sharp knife. "Tell me where you put the memory card, and Hanna will not be harmed."

Zero turned white. "Hanna?" he breathed horrified.

Chase smirked knowingly. "No. But if you don't think I can bring her in your a fool."

Zero laughed. "Your bluffing. Hanna's with the Titans and you know for a fact that she's safer now than ever." He smirked smugly. "As of now...Hanna's untouchable."

Chase scowled. "So your not going to make this easy?"

Zero shook his head.

Chase glared at the teen who had called his bluff and stormed out of the room.
