Chapter 15
. The glory of the Crystal Empire stood proud. And it now stood proud with a bunch of Aperture brand equipment gaurding it. Shining Armor just sat at the outer wall with his generals watching over the situation unhappily. Shining Armor was highly uncomfortable with foreign beings stationed outside of his city walls supposedly guarding it. Some even managed to get into the city walls overnight. It must've been one of those high tech things that they possesed.
. AS his generals talked about the occurence, Shining Armour rested his head on the table in annoyance.
"-and that is why I declare we shall remove them by force!" A general suggested.
. Shining's head popped straight up.
"Most absolutely not!" Shining Armor exclaimed. His generals looked at him.
"Sir, with all due respect, we have the most powerful military and militia stationed here in the Crystal Empire."
"I agree," another general said ", from what I heard, we can easily outsmart them because they are machines, they do not posses the ability to think like us!"
. Shining Armor face-hoofed(palmed) " Of course they don't posses the ability to think like us but instead, they posses one far superior to us! From what I heard, princess Twilight has learned about and seen partial of human military might. Seeing that these are sentient superior machines that they built, it would best to maintain a good relationship with them.
"Sir, from what I've heard, the entirety of Aperture lies in a small patch of land in the Everfree. They can't possibly be worse than the griffins with that small amount of territory." the general said
"Well to clear things up, I am not going to cause another conflict so your orders are to-"
!BOOM!
"SIR! THERE ARE GRIFFIN DESTOYERS AND CRUISERS FLYING IN THE AIR AND FIRING AT US!" a defense soldier said
. Shining Armour looked up to see griffin airships firing upon the shields and breaking through.
"Well what are you waiting for! battlestations!" a general ordered. the Soldier saluted and galloped away. However, as the ponies started their own defense systems using huge crossbows and mortars, Shining armor fed more energy to the city shields but saw activity going on with Aperture troops. The huge contraptions that Shining could only assumed as cannons were being used by the robots and aimed at the enemy ships. Shining looked and saw that the Aperture troops on the outside of the city were also doing the same.
. When the first cannon fired, Shining could not believe the sheer firepower one of the cannons possesed. More weapons such as ack-acks and machine guns fired and were foreign to captain. The first ship to fall was a destroyer firing upon the city. As the shells hit, the deck exploded in flames as the entire ship blew up and sank from the air. Shining was horrified at the killing displayed.
. After many ships were destroyed, the griffins tried to retreat but the robots got into vehicles of their own and chased after them. They were metal birds with propellers on the top (WW2 fighter planes)

. Once the citie's defenses were up, the ponies could only watch the griffin attack become demolished. As the planes flew much faster and when they got close, guns fired upon the deck damaging ships and was finally destroyed with a drop bomb. The attacking force was demolished in seconds. Shining and his generals stood shocked.
"What did you say about keeping the peace again sir?"
Earlier That Day...
. The Aperture troops stood on the beach. It was quite a sight for any current sentient being on Earth. Such unknown weaponary to them. But off course this was outdated human technology. GLaDOS still kept the more advanced versions in Aperture. At best these were mostly weapons from the mid early twenty first century mixed with some Aperture tech.
. Robots parted as the android body of GLaDOS walked along side Princess Celestia, Luna, and Twilight.
"GLaDOS are you sure this much military strength is neccecary?" Celestia asked
"Why of course! Humans and robots alike have always taken extreme precautions when dealing with potential war. In fact, the human World War 2 was because of letting matters pass." GLaDOS said
"Now we appreciate it all but does thy soldiers really be the best choice?" Luna asked as she looked at the Royal and National V1 bots.
. The Royals and Nationals still had a small rivalry from the war many years ago but have learned to love each other as brothers in arms. Many were acting as what Luna could describe as ruffian behavior. But on the other hand, many soldiers of all countries did too. Robots stood around cheering and drinking beer and whiskey (A/N: don't even ask me how) and rough housing all around.
. Atleast for Luna's favor, more turrets sat idly singing like children.
. At the mention of WW2 Twilight flinched. Celestia had been given a brief overview of human history but not as detailed as Twilight.
"So princess, do you have a plan to encounter them?" GLaDOS asked ", Remember that Aperture is what you call a back up plan in case things go out of hand. From what I've learned, the griffins are an arrogant military nation."
"I will do my best to keep peace between us," Celestia said ", Pony way is against war and any kinds of killing."
'How inconvenient,' GLaDOS thought ', if only the humans were as unsavage as they were.'
"And I shall be at your side Tia!" Luna said
"I'm sorry dear sister but political things have changed and you still haven't caught up. I believe best if GLaDOS and myself just attend." Celestia said
"Is fine sister, I shall stay with Twilight with the company of these here machinery friends."
"You know Luna, they had really good refreshments at Aperture," Twilight said as she and the elder princess walked off to the robot camp.
. GLaDOS turned eye to eye with Celestia. ", Here they come now princess. from what I read, I hope you are prepared."
"And I share that same hope," Celestia said
. The wooden griffin ships came from the distance from the air and from the sky. There were more than accounted for from Wheatley's encounter meaning that them must have added more renforcements. As the ships docked, all robot troops stopped their activity, grabbed their weapons and stood at attention.
. The doors opened and the griffin officials and ambassadors came out to meet the pony princess. They were visibly stunned by the robots in the area and the android standing next to the Sun God but kept their stern look.
"Welcome to Equetria griffins," Celestia said ", Now how shall we begin?"
30 minutes later...
. After the quick briefing of Aperture's existence to the griffins, the meeting commenced.
"- and you enter our nation without permission while holding military weapons! What is the meaning of this?" Celestia asked
. The officials looked at each other and faced the princess.
"Princess, about 2 weeks ago, we detected a huge spike and wave of energy originating from Equestria. We suspected it as a superweapon so we came to investigate."
"So to take it for yourselves if it were confirmed or to take it away and reoppress Equestria?" GLaDOS said and the griffins flinched at the android
. The griffins looked back at the princess ", Princess, we came here and find that your beach is plagued with weapons that would provide evidence that Equetria is certainley building up on weapons or technological advances. Our proposal is that you keep it open with the rest of the nations and possibly share it out."
"Like how you shared your own weapons and advances during the griffin imperial empire?" Celestia asked. A few more agressive negotiators stepped foward.
"Listen Princess, despite our past deeds, you will let us know about your new gadgets you have come up with. If you do not agree, then we will just have to use force!"
. Celestia looked like she was going through a mental breakdown but GLaDOS stepped foward.
"You organics disgust me. You really think that such a primitive race would be able to build something as powerful as what Aperture owns?" GLaDOS said ", No offence Princess Celestia."
"Any aggressions or problems with Aperture technology will be dealt with me." GLaDOS said ", so again, what is your problem?"
. The Griffins looked at Celestia and then to GLaDOS, and back and forth. They all looked at GLaDOS and spoke.
"Very well... Android. Apparantley you are new to our world and you must know that any nation developing new advances or military weapons will be overwatched by the Griffins so we ask of you to-"
"NO," GLaDOS stated
"What do you mean no!?" the official said ", listen here you lifeless piece of metal, you will comply with our demands or-"
. GLaDOS cut him off ", Do you know what I could do to you right now? I calculate that there are exactly 3,583,746 ways for me to end you and your entire fleet right now and over 400,000 ways for me to end your entire country at the moment. The energy you detected was an accidental nuclear explosion that occured from an old weapon from the human Cold War. A more modern version would wipe out your country within a matter of minutes."
. One of the ship captains gasped and caught himself.
"Captain," one of the negotiators asked ", what is wrong."
. THe captain responded ", I remember learning about nuclear explosions and meltdowns in college. They are supposed to be a way of producing energy and explosions on such a scale are basically impossible to produce. They can't be telling the truth."
"Your bluffing," the head negotiator said
"Really?" GLaDOS said ", would you like a demonstration?"
"Listen here, we know your technology would boost the world by millions of years and we want it. You will hand it over or we will take it from you. There is no way you can possibly stop us in a war."
"I am assuming you are declaring war on Aperture?" GLaDOS asked
"And Equestia for being it's ally!" The griffin said.
"Everyone please! I am sure we can resolve this peacefully if we just-" Celestia tried to convince
GLaDOS said ", I believe an old human saying would be ' your on' ."
"Prepare yourself robot for you are about to witness the might of the Griffin fleet!" the griffin said as all negotiators and captains threw jars of potions at the ground. they were all enveloped in the mist and transported back to their ships.
. Celestia looked at GLaDOS very pissed.
"What? you know that giving in would be even worse than this outcome. Besides, even you must've known that when dealing with Griffins this would be inevitable."
"I know," Celestia said ", Its just that everytime Equestria was nearly obliterated in every encounter. and Lots of killing will be involved in war."
"Do not worry princess," GLaDOS said ", We will do our best to be merciful."
"Are serious about that?" Celestia asked
"If it helps you feel any better then yes." GLaDOS said ", I'm sorry princess but this is war. But atleast I am more mature now. My previous self from many years ago would have had them tortured to death in unimaginable ways. Now, I do this to protect a species of intelligent life forms. Truly princess, your race of ponies is the first race to truly master a utopian society. Even your poor are well fed and happy. There is almost no crime and you all are genuinely happy and kind."
"Thank You GLaDOS. but I just worry about the country of Equestria-"
"As I told you before princess, do not worry. Now let us part to safe distances."
About 20 minutes later...
. As the griffin ships were now at sea and approaching. Some in the air and some in the sea. The V1 robots and turrets stood ready with weapons primed. With Twilight being sent back to ponyville, while Celestia and Luna stayed behind being used to war. They stood with GLaDOS in a bunker with a strong force field as a window showing what was happening outside.
. Honestly, the events that played out were something that Celestia thought would never happen to the Griffin empire. Humiliation.
. As the air ships moved in and griffins were dropped to the ground, they charged with battlecries wielding bows and spears.
. The Royals, Nationals, and turrets on the other hand stood ready. They all primed their weapons and as the enemy got within a quater of a mile, they opened fire.
. It was a blood bath. Robots stood with their chaingun arms spraying bullets into the enemy and rocket launchers firing into the enemy. Turrets giving the same devestation as before. Tanks stood delivering shells and more machine gun fire. Griffins fell left the right as bullets penetrated their bodies, skulls, chests, etc. blood flew everywhere. The battlecries of the Griffins soon turned to cries of disgust and fear as they were covered in their comrades' blood. They turned and tried to run but everyone knew that bullets ran faster. Rockets and explosives blew them to peices and more bullets tore them apart. Soon, the entire land invasion was nothing but blood and organs standing on the field.
. Back on the ship, the generals stood horrified. It was just impossible! not even the dragons could reach nearly the force to obliterate the attacks of the Griffins. back at the bunker, the two sister alicorns stood equally horrified. GLaDOS on the other hand stood emotionaless. Of course there was SOME tiny pleasure from her days of torturing test subjects but who could blame the android. She was made that way after the system error many years ago.
. Eventually, the griffins began their artillery attacks in hopes of breaking down the defenses to send in their remaining troops. A few cannons destroyed a few robots but soon, shield generators equipped on the AI's backs activated and all explosions were stopped. Turrets and rocket turrets stood firing bullets and rockets as the Royals and Nationals took out their rocket launchers consiting of Tank busters, supreme tank busters, etc. and fired rockets at enemy ships. Cannons, tanks, and ack-acks fired their own firepower at the griffin ships in the air and the sea.
. Ships exploded and were torn apart from inside out. Ack-Ack bullets ripped apart the ship and caused internal explosions and sinking. Cannon shells would destroy entire ships with just a few shots.
!BOOM!BOOM!
!BANG!Bang! BOOM!
. Eventually, Royal and National planes took flight against the much larger and less agile griffin airships. The fighter planes opened fire as robots sat on the wings firing their own weapons. Drop bombs and bullets bombarded the ships destroying them and sending them into the ground and sea below. A group of destoyers and cruisers managed to fly past defenses towards the crystal Empire. Celestia and Luna stared in horror and fright but GLaDOS assured them everything would be alright.

. Soon, the very might of the fleet was demolished and all that remained were a few sea carriers that the griffins had. They immediately turned around and retreated back home. The Royal and National planes chased down and sunk about two more ships but returned to landing at the beach.
. At the camp, Celestia and Luna had came out of the bunker behind GLaDOS looking at everything in horror and shock.
" I am sorry you had to see that princesses. I'm afraid not everyone can be like your race." GLaDOS simply said ",Now I believe it is a appropriate time to return to your capital and discuss plans."
