Oh, btw, the next chapter is an omake for those who wanted Oga and Furuichi to end up together! This chapter ended in 'platonic bromance' ;p

So, on to the short epilogue!

Furuichi had gone away from school for a week and a half, only to come back with a casted hand, tightly-bandaged ribs, and fading bruises that could barely be seen under the lights. No one had bothered him, all the other delinquents kept their distance from him, not even a glance. The news of Oga's rampage a week ago had terrified most of them because it actually continued at school. On the few days Oga went to school (the rest of the week he spent with Furuichi, skipping from school), Oga had quickly thrashed anyone who even dared to make a dirty look at him. He was restless, and those who were too dumb to see it and approached him, had been flown outside the school building as soon as they opened their mouths. The Tohoshinki and Red Tails also did some small rampage to ascertain that it would be a bad idea to touch Takayuki Furuichi. They didn't make a big mess like Oga, but their message was clear enough to be taken seriously.

Especially after the students knew the fate of the three thugs who attacked Furuichi.

Those Nasu's ex-henchmen had been released from the hospital a few days ago. They barely made it out of the hospital when they got attacked by some thugs. They were kicked around a little bit, nothing too serious to warrant another visit to the hospital. Following that, they got jumped periodically. Unbeknownst to them, there was a price on their head, courtesy of Himekawa. 'There's ¥5000 for anyone who's willing to rough these three people up (without killing them)' was mailed to everyone who has a phone. The mail was attached with their student IDs, complete with their full names, photos, and addresses. The power of money had made their lives a living hell, almost every day they were beaten up, either by people they knew or strangers. They weren't able to go to the police, nor ask help to their colleagues. This happened for over a month, and Furuichi had no idea before he put a stop to it.

But just because Himekawa had retracted his bounty, it didn't mean that the three delinquents could live a peaceful life. At school, if they failed to stay away from Furuichi's friends, they were quickly beaten up. Natsume had once purposefully hunting them and thrashed them with Shiroyama. Nene, Chiaki, and Yuka also played with them. The weaklings that they were, they got knocked around by the girls pretty good. They never managed to stay low and hidden for even a moment, waiting for their sordid mistake hype to die down. They still needed to look over their shoulder for another bounty or Oga's friends for the rest of the semester. In the end, they changed school to the neighboring city because they can't stay another year in the school that consisted of half population who ignored them, and another half who wanted them dead (or simply near-death state).

Now, let's focus on Furuichi. Everything went back to normal, as normal as it could get. Sometimes he would catch glimpses of the guys who attacked him, but his attention would always quickly diverted by Oga, Aoi, and the rest of them. One time, Furuichi was sure that he saw Natsume was running after those guys, but Chiaki suddenly appeared and got him into a mocking fight. He felt bad for them, but he hardly barely able to convince Himekawa and the rest of them to put down the bounty, Furuichi wouldn't be able to stop this one. Besides, Furuichi loved how attentive the girls are to him. On more than one occasion, Furuichi had found Nene, Aoi, and sometimes Chiaki were following him whenever Oga wasn't around, and Oga wasn't around for very long. The pain that he endured was worth it in the end as Furuichi finally realized that there were a lot of people who cared about him.

"You know, I'm glad," Furuichi stated, his head rested on his hugged-knees as he watched Baby Beel running after a demonic toy ball. The three of them were lounging on the roof, having lunch and enjoying the cool air of early fall. Oga sat beside him, munching on a yakisoba, his body lightly touching the other boy.

"Huh?" Oga turned to his left, looking at Furuichi who averted his gaze from Baby Beel to Oga's small eyes.

"I'm glad that I got to know you," Furuichi softly stated while Oga's eyes slightly dilated, "I'm glad that I chose to stick with you. Whatever has happened before, and no matter what happens later on, I won't regret the fact that we're friends, Oga."

Oga eyed him carefully, and silently. Furuichi had already looked away, not really expecting answers (he just wanted Oga to know), a smile was plastered on his face as he saw Baby Beel was now the one running away from the ball, laughing wildly.

"I'm proud to call you as my friend." Oga simply said. His eyes locked on Furuichi's, making sure that the white-haired boy understood the sincerity behind his words. Oga regretted the fact that he had dragged Furuichi down with him, but even so, he wouldn't let go of him because Oga was selfish. Furuichi made him a better person, and Oga would never let him slipped away as long as Furuichi would accept him as he was.

Furuichi slowly turned up a smile. The words were making him blissfully happy, the warm feelings inside of him were overwhelming. So he leaned a little bit closer to the hotheaded guy. "Thank you."

Oga didn't pull away, he even leaned in, too. He hummed in response, needing no words to send across his own gratitude to Furuichi. They were content with calling each other as their best friends and as partners: the king and his general.

"Hey! That's my melon bread!" Furuichi yelled when he realized that Oga was eating his bread now. Oga gave him an evil smirk.

"Sappy-Furuchin, you're the one who is careless."

"Dabuh!" Baby Beel agreed with his human-father, and all Furuichi could do was laugh as he snatched away the bread from Oga's hand. Oga quickly tackled him and they ended up wrestling for the bread for ten minutes before Furuichi finally managed to rip half of it from Oga's hand.

They laughed together as they shared a bread on the roof, momentarily forgetting all the problems relating to the Fallen Angels to just enjoy the day.
