Hello everyone this is my first story. I am not that good at writing I though I would give in a go. I though it would be a fun challenge. Any Way this will be a Serah and Cloud fan fiction was inspired to write this after reading the boy in the bookstore really love that story. That story has influence me to write this story. I hope I do a decent job any comment on my writing would be appreciated any like or dislike and how I can improve would be amazing. I do not own Final Fantasy VII or Final Fantasy XIII they belong to square enix. I hope you enjoy the story

Chapter 1

Serah Farron gazed outside the window of the airship staring at midgar it was already dark outside but thanks to the green glow coming from the reactors also all the lights over midgar she could see it easily , Serah saw the large scale structure of the city there were eight cores that each had a number place on them number 1-8, in front of each core there is a city that are all divided by wall between each of them in the centre of midgar there is a massive building with the shinra logo on the front of the building, she wanted to stretch her legs after hours of sitting down they had fallen asleep, she finally arrived at midgar after a couple of minutes waiting for the airship to land. Serah had let out a yawn exhausted from her long journey, She couldn't wait to get to a hotel and pass out on the bed. Serah finally got out of the airship waking up her legs by shaking them once they were awake she took her suitcase from the compartment, she walked towards the exit of the ship thanking the staff for there hospitality, she took one last look at the air ship that had taken her from cocoon to midgar before it went back in the air she turn looking at midgar

"so this is midgar never knew the Shinra building was that big"

Staring in amazement at the tallest building with the shinra logo.

Serah had asked for direction to sector 7 the person had told her to be careful going down that area it was dangerous walking around there this time at night, Serah just brush the warning off and made her way down towards sector seven. She notice how half on the buildings were destroyed

"what cause all this damage"?

Serah though it was best to move on she spotted a hotel and eagerly made her way towards it with her luggage in hand thinking about the nice warm bed and having a nice hot shower.

Serah entered the hotel the first thing she noticed was the door for the entrances look degraded, she went towards the front desk noticing the wallpaper was peeling off revealing the plaster on the walls , the carpet looked really mouldy with fungus growing on it being careful not to step on it Serah makes her way to the front desk. A staff member was standing at the desk he look like he was in his forties it was pretty obvious he had never had a bath in his life their were flys buzzing around him also serah noticed a putrid smell, his hair was full of dandruff, Serah could not tell what colour his hair was, his shirt was full on food stains Serah was hoping the red stain was ketchup from his dinner. He had a name tag pin on the right side of his shirt there were some stains on it but Serah could just manage to see his name

"Good morning I am Joe how many I help you" he said smiling which gave Serah Goosebumps his teeth were all yellow with big holes on them they looked really rotten. Serah trying to not judge a person on there hygiene she just gave a friendly smile.

Serah took out a tissue out of her bag pretending to blow her nose she was hoping it would be enough to not smell his odour.

"Hello Joe im looking for a room with a bed, wardrobe, a toilet that has a shower how much is the rent per day".?

"Its 200 gils a night", Joe replied instantly

"Thats fine here is 1400 gils for a week" Serah said giving the money as soon as possible .

"Thank you here is your room key". Joe had taken the room key from the desk draw then drop it on the table.

Serah took the room key thanking Joe she went upstairs as soon as possible to her room she had to carrying her luggage up a flight of stairs there were any elevator also no members of staff had offer to take it for her.

"Boy great service" Serah said sarcastically.

Serah finally made it to her hotel room opening the door and was shocked to see the hotel was not too bad there was a clean bed, a wardrobe and a clean toilet.

"Why the room is so clean yet downstairs looks horrible" Serah though puzzled she decided it was best to not think about it. Serah opened the wardrobe she put her luggage inside, she then finally collapse on the bed "Finally now i can sleep " Serah didn't bother to switch of her light she looked at the ceiling then drifted off to sleep.
