Hey everyone I am still alive sorry that its taken so long for the next chapter its been hectic for the past couple of months but everything is fine and hopeful I will update in every month if i can anyway enough about that hope to make it up with this long chapter.
"Hey Cloud wake up"
Cloud blanket was on his head he was trying to stay asleep but it was pulled off and someone kept shaking him.
Cloud gave up and opened his eyes and was surprised that Serah was awake, Cloud jumped out of bed.
"What happen is it my bed hair?"
Serah was feeling her hair to checking if anything was wrong with it.
Cloud smiled and replied
"yeah it look pretty terrible"
Serah went to the bathroom to check out her hair while Cloud packed his bed and hid her gifts under her bed, Serah came back with a depressed look on her face.
"What happened?"
"My hairs is all over the place it's going to take me a while to fix it why did this have to happen to me?."
"It's called bed hair Serah"
"Cloud I know what bed hair is thanks, I have a question Cloud"
"what is it?"
"Why were you sleeping here I though you went home before I fell asleep "?
Before Cloud could answer there was a knock on the door, Serah opened the door and saw a doctor standing there.
"Hello miss it's good to see that you are up"
Cloud invited the doctor inside he thank Cloud and shut the door behind him.
"Cloud what's going on?"
The doctor cut in before Cloud could say anything.
"Miss it's nice to meet you my name is Clark, I have come down today to check how you are doing today, I am pleased to see you have made a remarkable recovery".
"Cloud what's he talking about?"
Cloud was about to say something but Clark intervene.
"Miss your illness had gotten worse you fell unconscious for two day and Cloud had called me to check up on you, I came down today to see if your condition has improved and I am happy to say it has".
Serah was shocked.
"Miss I need you to sit on the bed while I will just do some checkups to make sure that you have fully recovered".
Serah obeyed Clark and sat on her bed while he checked her temperature, her heart and her blood sugar.
"Well I'm happy to say that you are fine for the moment, Cloud just let her relax and give her the nutrients pills that I've given to you."
"Yes doctor".
"Make sure to eat something your blood sugar is really low".
"Yes doctor" Serah said.
Cloud walk outside with Clark and closed the door behind him escorting Clark to his car.
"Doctor why didn't you tell her about her panic attack"
"Cloud something really traumatic happened to her telling Serah that she had one won't make the situation any better it will just cause her to think more about whatever incident had occurred which could give her another panic attack and this could make her condition much severe".
Clark put his hand on Cloud shoulder
"Cloud the best thing to do is not to ask about what had happened to her when she is ready to share that burden you will be able to help her to cope with it and she hopefully won't have any more panic attacks."
"Clark I've never been good at comforting anyone"
Clark chuckled and responded
"Cloud it's not hard to comfort her just be there for when she needs you, you helped a lot of people in the past don't put yourself down, I have know you for a long time maybe she can help you to move on like you can help her".
"What do you mean by that?"
"That something you have to find out anyway I have to go if anything does happen just give me a ring".
"Thanks Clark"
"You're welcome"
Clark got in his car, Cloud shut the door he started his engine and drove off into the distance.
Cloud went back into the room and saw Serah was still sitting on the bed, Cloud sat down next to her and saw that Serah had been silent sobbing
"Serah are you alright?"
"No Cloud I don't remember what happen after I talk to you then I find out that I was sleeping for two days, I don't know what's going on"
Cloud grab some tissue and handed it to her she thanked him and blew her nose.
"Serah the doctor told me not to tell you because it could make your condition worse but I think you are strong enough to handle the truth Serah you had a panic attack".
"A panic attack"
"Yes when I asked you something it cause your attack to happen Clark said it was cause by something traumatic in your past, I am guess it has something to do with why you left your home planet and I am not going to ask you about what happen that your business and I don't want to upset you"
Serah knew what it was a tried her best not to remember she started shaking and Cloud notice he grab Serah's shoulders'.
"Serah look at me"
Serah looked at Cloud and saw that his eyes were faintly glowing different shades of green it help to calm her down.
"Serah I am here for you whatever happened to you just leave it in the past look to the future you will be able to overcome whatever happen and one day return back to your family until then you're stuck with me".
Serah sighed she smiled
"That's just my luck I have to waste my precious time with you".
"You who keep coming to my house every day?"
"You live in a bar which services really good food at a cheap price"
Serah just laugh while Cloud just smirked
"Cloud thanks for that "
"No problem".
Cloud went into the bathroom opened the tap and splash water on his face thinking about what to do.
"Okay strife you said you will help her, I need to be patient and she hopefully will tell me one day".
Cloud smirk it was pretty ironic they both have a tragic past they want to keep from each other.
Serah knocked at the door
"Cloud I needed to use the bathroom how long will you be?".
Cloud wipe his face he open the door Serah push him out and slammed the door behind him.
Cloud heard a knock on the door and answered it
"Hello sir my name is bob I'm here to take the measurements for the window"
Cloud let bob inside and pointed him to where the window was he thanked Cloud.
Serah had gotten out of the bathroom and stop when she saw bob inside the room.
"Cloud what's going on?"
"Bob is here to measure the window so he it can be replace"
"How am I going to change?"
Cloud pointed at the bathroom, Serah sighed and took her clothes into the bathroom after half an hour of taming her hair back to her signature ponytail she finished changing while Cloud was just on his phone. Serah had to poke him so that he paid attention , Cloud was about to put his phone away but it rang.
"Serah I have to take this give me a couple of minutes"
Cloud answered his phone outside the room
" So miss how are you feeling I heard you fell ill?"
"Oh I'm feeling much better thanks for asking why are you working on Christmas day shouldn't you have the day off?"
"It's just an errand to get out of the way once the measurement for the window is done I will order the window after the holidays when this is finished I'll be going home and having a nice Christmas dinner."
"Oh okay".
Serah felt a little depressed she misses having Christmas dinner with her whole family back in cocoon.
Bob could see the look on her face.
"Sorry that I have taken you and your boyfriends time especially since its Christmas you probably want to be alone together, I just finish I will leave you to lovebird alone".
Serah's snapped out and her face went red like a tomato.
"He's not... my boy...friend we are just friends."
"Oh I see"
Bob cleared his throat he packed all his tools and went to the front door.
"Anyway I hope you to have a merry Christmas".
"Thanks you and a merry Christmas to you as well".
Bob opened the door and Cloud enter inside he look annoyed.
"Cloud are you okay you look a bit pissed".
"I'm fine are you hungry? they are serving breakfast downstairs for once"
"Well I'm starving it's your treating and Cloud thanks".
Serah took her handbag and went past him she handed Cloud the room key, Cloud sighted took his wallet and followed Serah downstairs they were serving breakfast at the back of the hotel. Cloud saw Serah waving he got his breakfast from the buffets table and sat down, they both ate their food and when they finished Cloud paid and they went back upstairs. Serah went in the bathroom to have a shower cloud took the opportunity take her gifts from underneath the bed.
Cloud knock on the bathroom door
"Serah"
"Yeah Cloud"
"I've got some errands that I needed to do I will come and pick you up later today we will have dinner in the evening?"
"okay I guess we can hang out I've got nothing else to do"
"I will just leave the DVDs here so you don't get bored I will see you later".
"Okay bye"
Cloud took all his thing and left. Serah was in her towel and changed into her nightclothes after she finished she through her phone and got no new messages. She was surprised no one was wishing her a merry Christmas, She looked through the DVD and picked one to pass the time away after finishing watching the movie Serah picked up her phone and dialled her sisters number.
"Hey Serah merry Christmas sorry I haven't texted you been busy so why is my baby sister calling?"
"I thought we agreed you will stop teasing me"
"Sorry it's what older sister are for".
Serah was choking on the phone
"Serah I was joking sorry about teasing you".
"It's not that I just miss everyone and I miss you Christmas was always a special remember me and you spent time together with the rest of the gang when they came over to our house we use to always have dinner together as a family, Christmas just remind me about everyone ."
"Serah you can always come back I know you are still upset but we can get through this together I've have always been there for you since we were kids and I will want to be there to support you now."
"I want to come back but I cannot you know that and I will one day come back but right now I cannot".
"I know but you're remember you are not alone there you do have friends that do care for you and one day you will be back Serah we all miss you but you have to think of it as a vacation and one day you will be back here to your home."
"Yeah I know you're right as usual". Serah chuckled.
"I know I am you also have your new boyfriend to keep you company".
"No he not you're just teasing me again".
Both of them chuckled
"Thanks Claire I needed that".
"No problem I will transfer you some money try not to spend it all at once".
"Sorry I got a bit carried away I will manage the money better".
"You know you should try to get a job there to help you it will get you on your feet instead of relying on your older sister".
"I will try after the holidays, I still have my teaching degree maybe I can get a teaching job here".
"Good luck Serah and merry Christmas".
"Merry Christmas Claire and thanks".
Serah disconnected her phone and laid down on her bed waiting for Cloud she fell asleep.
Someone was poking Serah she woke up and saw that it was Cloud.
"Hey what's that for?"
"That was for you poking me in the morning".
Serah grab her pillow and smack it in Cloud face he didn't feel anything and smirk.
"You're such a child".
"I'm not the one poking someone face".
"You started it"
Serah had no comeback and Cloud smirk he knew she had no comeback. Serah got up from her bed and stretch her muscle.
"So you finished with everything you had to do?"
"Yeah I am here to pick you up you should get changed?"
" yes I know that you can wait for me downstairs".
"Yes your majesty".
Serah grab the pillow and chucked it at Cloud who sidestep and it missed him landing on the floor he chucked it back on the bed. Cloud opened the door and went to the lobby he sat down on a couch and was checking his phone for new messages he got a couple of message.
"Sorry I couldn't come down sherry took time off this year so she wanted me to spend time with her damn it I wanted to get wasted at Tifa bar sorry blonde.
"Sorry Cloud having Christmas with my family anyway merry Christmas and after the holidays we need to watch 50 shade of grey 2".
Cloud sent No in capital and deleted the message.
Cloud was just flicking through everyone text they all couldn't come because they had to spend Christmas at home. He got annoyed the one time he actually does a party nobody cannot make it he put his phone away and waited. Serah came downstairs after 20 minutes of debating what to wear. Cloud got up and saw that Serah was wearing a pink top with red lining it was opened she had a plain pink t-shirt also she was wearing small earrings in red, Her trouser were dark pink colour with her storage bag on the side of her leg, she was wearing her purple ankle boots and she had her pink choker on also her hair was in the ponytail.
"Well how do I look"? Serah was nervous she didn't know what Cloud would think.
"You look nice" Cloud was rubbing the back on his head.
"Thanks so should we go?"
"sure"
Cloud went ahead of Serah and opened the door for her.
"Thanks Cloud"
They took a cab Cloud let Serah in first and got in the taxi he close the door the driver sped off to their destination.
"What happen to your bike?"
"Well I thought it would be better to take a taxi instead of taking my bike its freezing outside and I know the driver he wanted to drop us off for free he won't take no for an answer isn't that right Carl".
"That's right Cloud just sit back and enjoy the ride".
Cloud just slump back in the seat and closed his eyes.
"Serah wake me up when we get there".
Serah saw Cloud had fallen asleep ,she looked at the window and saw a glowing pale green steam near the reactor.
Serah shook her head.
"what the heck did I drink too much wait I didn't drink anything"
"So miss you know grumpy"
Serah snap out of her thought
"Grump? oh you mean Cloud" Serah chuckled.
"Yeah he always acted grump but he's a good kid just need to learn to loosen up a little bit and have some fun it's nice to see he's taking a pretty girl like you out for Christmas."
"Yeah he does need to loosen up a little bit." Serah chuckled nervously.
Carl continue driving in silences Serah just went on her phone and played candy crush to pass the time by. Carl finally arrive at their destination Serah got up and shook Cloud to wake him up, he got up and opened the door he got out of the car and Serah followed him she shut the door. Cloud went to the front and thanked Carl.
"No problem son I hope you two have fun" he drove away.
They both walked until they got to the front of seven heaven. Serah was a bit disappointed
"So you have a beautiful girl to take out to dinner and your idea is going to dinner at you're bar?"
"What beautiful girl I just see a shrimp".
Serah tried to whack Cloud on the head he side step and she trip she but her arms in front to brace for impact on the floor but it never came Cloud had grab her arms and pull her back.
"Thanks for that"
"No problem but you are pretty clumsy you know that"
"No I'm not it's your fault I almost fell"
"Your tried to hit me I moved for my safety"
"That wouldn't have even hurt you" Serah chuckled
"Should we go inside or should we just freeze outside"
Serah nodded and they both went inside the bar it look complete different the whole bar had Christmas lights all over the roof it brightening the room in different colours the chair and tables were all on one side stack up in the corner and at the far side of the bar there was a Christmas tree with ornaments that were chocobos Serah chuckled when notice it on the also there was a star on the top and the bottom of the tree had some presents.
"I'm going in the kitchen to get the food ready give me a couple of minutes".
"Okay where Tifa"
"She at a charity event where she is dressing as Santa and giving presents to orphan children's".
"Wait isn't Santa meant to be a guy".
"Yeah I don't know how she got the job anyway give me a couple of minutes just make yourself comfortable".
Serah saw a dining table she took of her jacket put in on the chair and sat down there were two sets of plates one on each end of the table with knife, fork, spoon and a cup.
"Wait does that mean it's me and Cloud together for dinner alone during Christmas".
Serah blush a bit but snapped out of it.
"He my friend it's not weird for friends to eat dinner together even if he's a guy damn it Claire for saying all those thing".
Serah could hear clanking going on in the kitchen followed by some cursing she chuckled.
Serah got bored waiting and went through her phone she looked on the internet just checking the news to see if anything has happen she found an articles that has Clouds name on it curious she looked it was an ad for his deliver services.
"Cloud strife deliver services if you want a reliable delivery service that will deliver your package wherever you are then look no further than the strife deliver service, we deliver your package even if the area is infested with dangerous creatures".
There was some reviews at the bottom Serah read a few of them.
"Thanks Cloud for your amazing service it is hard to get someone to deliver all the way out in fort condor 5/5 stars would recommend and I will gladly use again".
"Thanks for the deliver excellent customer services and was delivered ASAP 5 star would recommend".
Serah looked at the bottom on the page and saw a picture of Cloud being chased by pack of chocobo with a funny look on his face Serah started laughing.
"What's so funny?".
"Oh nothing" Serah cleared her throat trying not to laugh.
"Okay".
Cloud had chicken strips in the centre of the plate that was marinated in chicken stock and on all sides of the plate was salad he place it in the centre of the table and went back to get bottle of coke, water and the roast potatoes he also brought different sauces he took Serah's plate and put the chicken and salad with roast potatoes' on the side of her plate and gave her the sauces she picked ketchup and put it all over her chicken she thanked Cloud for the service he nodded and sat down on the other side they both eat in silences.
Serah was chewing her food
"This is boring think of something to say"
Serah cleared her throat which got Cloud attention.
"The food is nice Tifa cooking I guess"
"No she was too busy with the charity event I'm the one that cooked everything".
"Wow you can cook it more amazing then I thought ".
"Thanks for thinking I cannot cook" Cloud said in an annoying tone.
"Oh crap I didn't mean it like that" Serah was trying to get her foot out of her mouth.
Cloud chuckled
"Relax I'm just joking Serah"?
"Oh you"
Serah grab a tomato ball and chuck it at Cloud it hit his head and bounce on to the ground.
"Real mature and you're what 15?"
"No I am 23"
"You don't act like it"
Serah gave up and ate her food in silence once they had finished Cloud took the plates and brought dessert it was a slice of chocolate cake Serah grab her plate and finished it all before Cloud even sat down to eat his.
"Serah you should take your time and eat your cake not wolf it all down".
"I just love chocolate and it was delicious Cloud"
"Thanks".
Once Cloud finished his cake he took the plates back to the kitchen Serah helped even though Cloud didn't want her to she insisted on helping. Cloud wash all the plate and Serah put them in the dishwasher after they had finish Cloud went to the Christmas tree and pull some present s and gave them to Serah.
"Here Serah these are for you".
"Cloud I don't have any present for you".
"It's fine merry Christmas"
"Thanks Cloud merry Christmas".
Serah opened the present and squealed
"Wow batman and superman comics also all the harry potter series but what's with the map"?.
"So you don't get lost".
"I can just use GPS on my phone".
"GPS doesn't work in midgar".
"Oh yeah Serah forget that was one of the things that was in the leaflet for midgar"
"Thanks for that".
"No problem"
Serah put all the gifts on the table and gave a Cloud a hug he stumble a bit and was surprised he pat Serah awkwardly on her back and she let go she noticed he looked nervous. Serah was pretty close to his face.
"What"?
"Your sweating are you hot?".
"Yeah it's pretty warm in here".
"No you're nervous aren't you?
"No I am not".
"Okay fine you're not but I needed to get you something for Christmas".
"That's fine most of the shops are close today".
"I guess it will be after Christmas then so Mister strife what are we going to do now".
"Give me a couple of minutes."
Cloud went upstairs into his room and he came back down with something behind his back.
"What you got their?" Serah said curiously
"Patients miss Farron".
"What I have behind my back is one of the most amazing" Cloud paused dramatically.
"What is it?"
Cloud showed what it was and Serah jumped up and down like a school girl being pick first in sports.
"Serah how old are you again?".
"Hey there nothing wrong with jumping and can you blame me you have the dark knight trilogy its one of my favourite trilogies of all time they are masterpieces".
"I've never seen any of them".
Serah stopped jump and looked at Cloud like he committed murder.
"Seriously you never seen any yet".
"well that's going to change".
Serah put two chairs in front of the TV while Cloud put the movie in they both sat down and watch the movie. Cloud could hear Serah muttering under her breath he ignored her and focus on the movie after it finished Serah stood up and clap while Cloud was sinking in his chair he was thankful that it was just both of them alone.
"So what do you think?"
Cloud saw that Serah eyes were beaming waiting for his answer.
"The movie was really good actually I enjoy the fight scenes and the characters were really compelling I give it a 8/10.
Serah was happy.
"That's great now we have to watch the second one".
"Serah that movie was long I don't think we will have the time to watch the second one".
"Oh Cloud we are not going to watch one we are going to watch both".
"What"!
Serah already put the dark knight on and Cloud sat down and watch the second one. He looked up at the roof
"Zack what have I done to deserve this?"
"Hey Cloud you should be watching the movie".
Cloud looked down at the TV and watched the dark knight after 2 an a half hours it was finally over,
Cloud was asleep he was leaning back on his chair.
Serah shook Cloud awake
"What happened?" he jolted awake
"So you didn't watch the movie?"
Cloud rubbed his eyes got up and stretched
" I need to watch it again tomorrow, I fell asleep half way through the movie".
"Yeah sorry you did say one was enough and I wanted to watch all of them". Serah felt guilty
"Its fine I did enjoy watch the first half of the movie but it's pretty late now".
Serah checked the time on her phone.
"Oh shit its past 12."
Serah got up and was getting ready to leave the bar.
"Sorry Cloud I should go back thanks for the Christmas dinner and present I had a fun time".
Cloud blocked Serah from going to the door.
"Cloud what are you doing I have to go".
"How are you going home?".
"I can take the bus back."
"The bus are not working today it's the holidays".
"I can take a taxi".
"They are not operating either".
"I can walk back".
"It's too dangerous, I would drop you off but the weather is pretty bad outside see for yourself."
Serah opened the door and saw a blizzard outside the whole street and pavement was full of snow she could feel how cold it was she was shivering. Cloud closed the door and gave Serah a chair to sit down.
"So what am I going to do then?"
"Sorry Serah I didn't check the weather I was too busy with everything here but you can stay here tonight Tifa room is free".
" It's not your fault well it doesn't look like I have a choice but thanks ".
"No problem her room just opposite mine you can borrow her nightclothes as well she won't mind ".
"Thanks Cloud and goodnight".
"Goodnight Serah".
Serah went upstairs into Tifa room she changed her clothes and went into bed she smiled having such a fun time she slowly drifted off to sleep.
Well I hope you enjoy that at first when I wrote it i thought about splitting the chapters into two parts because it felt to long but since I was gone for a while I though it would be better to give everyone a longer chapter then usual I don`t know if it will be this length again but anyway please leave a review and tell me what you like, dislike and how I can improve and if you like the length of the chapter thanks and see you next time.
