Pre-story note: I changed the rating to T, for language and there will be some violence. Sorry and thank you!

Jack was free! It was Friday, and the hallways of Wallace High School were clear, most of the students long gone. Jack was still there; due to the necessity of making up an Algebra quiz he had missed one day he was sick. As he turned the corner to go to his band locker, he felt his heart lift. There was Ralph, and even after a month, Jack couldn't believe that Ralph was his. But, there was something wrong. Ralph's shoulders were shaking, his hands covering his face.

"Ralph? Ralph? What's wrong?" Jack wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, trying to pull his hands away from his wet face.

"Nothing," Ralph sobbed, pulling away from Jack.

"Come on, I know that's not true," Jack said, cautiously approaching Ralph.

Ralph backed away again, tears still streaming down his face. "No. No. You can't. I can't let you. You can't see," he said before turning away abruptly and running down the hallway.

"Wait! No, Ralph!" Jack called, but he knew that Ralph wouldn't come back or be stopped unless he wanted to.

Then disaster struck in the form of a curly-haired blonde girl named Hope.

"What are you still doing here?" she asked.

"Algebra quiz," he sighed, "You?"

"We have drama practice soon, so we're wandering around," Hope said, slinging an arm around Sabrina. Sabrina was Hope's shorter, darker haired twin. Not her literal twin, but you'd think they would be sisters, that's how striking the similarities in both of their loud and rather obnoxious personalities were.

"What're you doing, looking all mopey?" Sabrina asked.

"Ralph's crying and he ran away from me. I don't know what's wro- Ow! Hey! What was that for?"

Jack turned around, holding the back of his head in pain. Sabrina glared at him and snarled, "Your boyfriend is somewhere crying, and you're sitting here whining?"

Jack flinched, but stared up at Sabrina disdainfully. "Even if I did go after him, he wouldn't want me to."

"You. Are. The. Biggest. Imbecile. That I have ever had the misfortune to come across. When someone you care about runs away crying you chase them. You chase them until they get sick of you, or they stop running. Got it, stupid?" Hope said, her voice low and dangerous.

Sabrina stood next to her, arms folded. "Now go."

Jack sat there, staring at them, until Hope yelled, "What the hell are you waiting for?"

Jolted into motion, he stood up, and ran down the hallway, checking every classroom he came across. Ralph was no where in sight. He got to the boy's bathroom, and heard a voice trickling out from it. Getting closer, he listened in, trying not to feel like a complete creep.

"You little pussy-ass bitch, you better not've told your faggot boyfriend about this," a deeply male voice said.

There was silence, then the sound of a slap, a whimper.

"You little cocksucker. Answer me."

"N-no," said Ralph, his voice full of tears, "I-I haven't-t told a-anyone."

Author's Note: I know, I know, I'm a horrible person for making you wait this long, then giving you a depressing chapter. Not to mention a short one. But I lost my fanfiction spark for a while, but I do believe it's back! Huzzah! Since I'm horrible at regularly posting chapter stories, I think I'll wrap up Band Geeks and my Naruto fanfic, and just post some one-shots.

Thank you for waiting so long! I adore you and give you many cookies! And bacon! (Unless you're a vegetarian/vegan. In which case, you get more cookies to make up for your lack of bacon) Review! Then I will give you cake! (Even if it is a lie) I love you!
