First Good Luck Charlie fanfic. Thought I'd do a story about this after watching "Special Delivery".

The day they brought little Toby home, everyone got ready.

It was pretty much the norm when a new baby Duncan was born each time. The child who been replaced as the baby of the family by the new Duncan would throw a fit, pleading and asking Mommy and Daddy why they weren't paying attention to them. As best as Bob and Amy tried to explain to their littlest one, the first three Duncan children had each gone through periods of sadness and feeling unwanted.

While it was true in pretty much every family, no family had more rebellious children than the Duncans. For example, PJ refused to come out of his crib for a while when little Teddy was introduced to the family. And when Gabe was brought back home, Teddy was so unhappy that she ran away to her best friend Ivy's house for all of two hours. Bob and Amy were so frantic they almost called the police to report a missing child. Gabe had to be the most evil out of all of them. He plotted all sort of diabolical and evil things when Charlie was brought home, including plots of taking away Charlie's toys and as extreme as almost poisoning her milk once, earning him a month's worth of no video games and extra chores (He claimed that he was trying to promote healthy nutrition by giving her a "new" brand of baby formula-to no avail.).

So when Toby was brought home, away from the arguing three older Duncan children, no one could predict what would happen to Charlie. Would she pout? Would she throw her toys? Would she run away like Teddy did? No one knew what little Charlie was capable of. So for several weeks, everyone was on their guard for an unpredictable reaction from the little girl.

The entire family was watching a movie one calm night when Amy realized that Charlie was missing. Fearing the worst from the little girl, the entire family ran upstairs, searching for her. They ransacked through every room, frantically searching for her, until they got to the master bedroom.

PJ creaked the door open slightly, and they all heard murmuring and the sounds of a page being turned. They all poked their heads in, then you could hear a sigh of relief and adoration.

Little Charlie was holding a sleeping Toby, talking to Toby as though he was listening to her. Turning another page out of the book she was looking at, she continued to hold onto Toby and said to him, "You my bessus little brotha eva, Toby."
