ME3 Extended Edition Addition: We see the gasp of breath, but with the fleet away and the Normandy stranded, can Shepard really survive? I needed a bridge to make peace and make sense of things. Multi-perspective, but largely Kaidan's as the crew fix the ship and begin their journey back to Sol. T for gory flashbacks and cursing? MShep/Kaidan mostly Paragon Vanguard.

7. A Thank You Note (Not Content)

This isn't a chapter of the story. Not a proper one, anyway. Rather, it's a promise to edit and polish and go back.

Mainly, I just wanted to give a note of thanks to everyone who read this story, added it to their alert list, favorited it, or commented/reviewed. I haven't written a story in a long while, and certainly not one of this length (I tend towards very short, two-page deals), and I had never before written in someone else's universe, let alone one so well-known and (from the lists of stories and the pages and pages of wikis and forum discussions) well-traveled.

So thank you, sincerely, for helping me to finish this bridge from one ending to another, and for making my first experience in this community a very positive one. You're all quality people!
