A story where Subaru is born in Japan in the sonic universe. This version of Subaru is the reincarnation of Sonic and Shadow. He'll be a G.U.N. agent and free spirited as well. He'll be smart and he'll have his own gear. He'll have Sonic's speed and Shadow's chaos abilities. And overall he'll have the chaos emeralds with him. So he's pretty much power incarnate.

Subaru becomes envious of Reinhard because of a misguided view he'd made of the Sword Saint. Envious of not just his strength but what Subaru had assumed had been Diligence. Subaru vows to change his mindset to shed his slothfulness, to become the Hero. But brute forcing the first deathloop was never the right answer. And Subaru slowly loses sight of his original convictions.

Right before the royal selection ends, Subaru makes a difficult decision. This fic was inspired by A Little Too Late and Lone Star.

Why not?

After returning from Vollachia, Subaru is insecure if Emilia and him will be capable of keeping the nation together if she wins the throne to the royal selection. Especially after Vincent's particular remarks. So, he will start or attempt to start the Industrial revolution from his world to gain the upper hand in the royal selection and in the international arena.

After having dealt with the challenges of the Pleiades watchtower, Natsuki Subaru is summoned by an unknown deity to help fix some worlds from the fallen Natsuki Subarus. It is up to him and his allies to help correct these worlds.
