Chapter 7. Sloth

As her eyes closed, Haruhi's eyes flashes a light dusty blue, the colour of the sky when the sun is too lazy to lift its blazing head.

Haruhi was lazy. Not by choice, but that doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy it.

Haruhi doesn't have to worry about a thing. The twins would take care of her clothes, Mori and Honey would protect her, Kyoya and Tamaki would ensure she'd never want for anything.

Haruhi stretched out, nose wrinkling in contentment. Six pairs of warm arms enveloped hair, six pairs of gentle hands supported her. She could stay here forever, never move again, and be happy as she was held by these tender loving arms. They blocked out the evils of the world, made her forget death and sadness. They took care of her, meant that she never had to worry. It was nice, a welcome change from her childhood.

She did not move, happy to be their beloved toy, to be manipulated into happiness. She stayed still as they planned her future. She would stay with them, of course, and they would ensure she was a princess, waited on hand and foot by only the best. She would only work hard if that was what she wished; she would not be looked down upon as a commoner.

They liked to hold her. She liked to be held. They held her as they curled, all seven, upon a king sized bed, their arms a promise, her smile a gift.

As her eyes closed, as she drifted into sleep, Haruhi's eyes flashed a dusty blue, a sky when the sun is too lazy to lift his blazing head.
