Title: Chips, Manga, Tennis, and Rua!
Character/Pairing/Group: Rua, Ruka
Prompt: Prompt 087 – Afternoon Meal
Rating: K, because it's just the daily lives of the duo.
Genre: General/Humor if you really squint. (Or if you have a bad sense of humor like me)
Pairing: None.
Summary: Ruka has something to say about Rua's eating habits.
Notes: We'll be taking a break here, because I am really not in the mood to continue the storyline currently. Sorry. And I abused the word "but" a lot. I tend to say it repeatedly when I'm whining. So maybe that's why Rua used it four times in a row here? (headsdesk)
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 5D's and this is a non-profit document.

Crunch. Flip.

A frown.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. Flip. Flip.

"Rua… what are you doing?" Curiously, Ruka looked up from her homework to her brother – who was on the floor, reading the newest issue of Jump Square while eating potato chips. Rua blinked huge, innocent eyes at her.

"Reading…" she shot a look at the bag of chips on the floor, "… and eating potato chips?"

She groaned, "And that's like, the nth bag you've had this week!" And it was only Tuesday, three days into the week. Which made Rua's eating habit on par with Jack's (who lived on instant cup ramen all three meals per day) or Yusei's (who only ate when he remembered to, which wasn't very often.)

Her brother blinked, obviously missing the whole point. "So?"

She sighed, "Potato chips aren't good for your health you know."

"But I like it!" He was openly pouting now, "It's like, the best thing in the whole world to have potato chips as an afternoon meal you know! Like how the royals in Britain have cakes and tea and whatever not every single day."

"They don't eat their cakes like how you consume those chips everyday. In fact they usually take one hour to finish one tiny slice because tea is a time to relax and socialise."

"But I am socialising! With tennis! Familiarizing myself with the different tennis styles!"

"Rua," a deadpan, "you don't play tennis. In fact you hardly do any other thing than dueling."

"But," her brother shot a soulful look at the manga "to me manga for afternoon entertainment and potato chips for afternoon meals make a perfect combination."

Ruka facepalmed, "That's it. You'll be eating a lot of vegetables to make up for all the calories you'll be taking in due to your 'afternoon meal'." She inwardly giggled at Rua's cross look.

"But Ruka…."

"Nope. No buts."

"Aww man…"

"And exercising a lot as well, didn't you just say that you have an interest in tennis..?" Her golden irises haboured an amused spark in them, Rua groaned.

"RUKA!"

A/N: *coughs* Okay first, please forgive me for the Prince of Tennis advertising. The new anime for Shin Tennis no Ouji-sama (New PoT) is coming out tomorrow. And the new release of Jump Square (which means new manga chapters!) is also tomorrow. Obviously as a hardcore fan, I can't contain my excitement can I? (That's basically one of the reasons why I can't write anything depressing or angst-y or dark now.)

By the way, about Ruka's statement "three days into the week", for those who don't know, Japan starts their weeks on Sundays, so Tuesday is technically the third day of the week for them.

And about the teatime thing, I'm not sure if it's true, but from what my friend told me, it is. So forgive me if it's wrong*laughs awkwardly*?

Some of you might also notice that I tend to use the English spelling at one moment and the American spelling at the next. I'm sorry but auto-correct on word is just a bitch. I know I can change the language settings but my com – being the annoyingly laggy com that it is – just don't agree with me. Damn. My apologies. I usually use UK English spelling instead of the Americanised one (although it wouldn't matter either way, I think "S" looks a lot better on words like "socialise".)

I'm not sure. Does Rua seem like a potato chips person? (random)

And I KNOW I FAIL AT TITLES. LEAVE ME ALONE! (starts crying)

Btw, I finally reminded myself that there are other characters in 5D's other than these two (brick'd), I can't believe I almost forgot about Yusei and Jack!
