Title: Desideration
Character/Pairing/Group: Rua/Ruka
Prompt: Prompt 040 – That One Lie
Rating: T, for dark themes.
Genre: Family/Angst
Pairing: Rua/Ruka, incest.
Summary: But somewhere deep in him, he wished that he could have told Ruka the truth.
Notes: Continuation from [Prompt 61 –Unusual]. I know I screwed up big time last chapter (headsdesk). Thanks to me having a big quarrel with my best friend, I'm in quite a dark mood now. This was written in school, to Hatsune Miku's Yami Iro no Alice (by samfree), Yanagi Nagi's Killer Song (by Maeda Jun) and Yakusoku wo Shiyou (by supercell). Due to my current mood, I'm not checking this. So forgive any and all errors. Thanks. (By the way, Desideration may not be a word. I screwed up the rules of English and turned the verb into a noun. Forcefully.)
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 5D's and this is a non-profit document.
Edits: Finished editing this thing and fixing errors. May have left out some. Feeling very exhausted now.
He noticed.
Despite Ruka thinking that she was being discreet (actually she was), he still noticed. She was trying to find out what was wrong. While trying to not alert him.
He knew that Ruka understood him more than anyone else, which was why she was trying to be very very discreet.
Normal people wouldn't notice, but he did.
Of course it may be because of the fact that they are twins, that he was able to somewhat know what his sister was up to.
Or, it might also be because he was more sensitive to her presence and everything that she does nowadays.
He had been trying very hard these few days, ever since he had watched that play, to attempt to place his emotions for Ruka – he knew, it wasn't something alike to what a normal sibling should be feeling.
But of course, it was to no avail.
However, if the thinking and pondering had brought him something, it was a certain sharpness to everything Ruka.
Everything she does. Every single move she makes. Every single word she speaks. Every single laughter, giggle.
Everything.
He didn't really understand why. But he also didn't have the energy to ponder on it. Between trying to figure out his feelings for Ruka, and avoiding Ruka, - especially her questioning, puzzled looks - he couldn't manage to do anything else.
"Rua, what's wrong with you?" He was taken aback by that one day. Never will he have thought that Ruka would ask that so directly of all things, considering that he was usually the one who was blunt, while Ruka always tend to take note and be very careful of others' feelings.
Well, even Ruka of all people would get fed up with the way he had been behaving, he supposed.
"What do you mean Ruka? I'm perfectly fine!" He answered, and she was the one who looked slightly taken aback this time. He saw annoyance flash pass her face.
"Rua, are you sure? Because - " His grin cut her off. She didn't look like she had bought his lie, but her anger and worry had dissipated by a little, and she smiled hesitantly, looking like she didn't want to push the subject any further.
"Then that's good." She held out a hand, and he blinked, surprised by the sudden invitation.
"Wanna go get some ice-cream before returning home?" She grinned, and Rua could see that her doubt was completely gone – it was all in her eyes.
He answered with a grin of his own, nodding and taking her hand with his own, before leading her into a slow jog out of the classroom.
But somewhere deep within him, he wished that he could have told Ruka the truth.
That he didn't have to lie.
That he was strong enough.
A/N: Oh uhm, looks like Rua's getting sort of obsessed… That… wasn't my original intention. And Rua seems very emo (probably reflecting my own emotions now), ugh (headswall).
Anyway, this is where things will get even worse (as in, even darker), the moment Rua successfully places his feelings for Ruka things will get very messy. (Well that's how I planned for it to be anyway). I will be bringing Yusei and the others in very soon. (What? You guys couldn't tell this was pre-series?) Yusei'll be very important to both Ruka and Rua, at least that's how I think it will go.
After all, he'll be helping them without them even knowing it (Crow and Jack are hopeless in sounding reasonable sometimes. Gee.) Maybe I'll rope Aki in (but that will be after the Fortune Cup and the Dark Signers), as well. There will be mentions of Jack/Yusei and one-sided Aki/Yusei. So I apologise if you don't like these pairings (personally I don't like Faithshipping either). They are going to be no more than mentions though. I hope.
Yes, this thing is technically gonna cover everything (not everything, but the timeline) in the series, until the epilogue. So it's a semi-AU of the original story. I might not be able to finish it in all 100 shots. So if that happens, I'll continue it in a multi-chapter story. (Was planning to rewrite this whole thing into a multi-chap from the start)
So… look forward to it? /sweatdrops.
(sighs) I really suck at titles. (Used the thesaurus for synonyms AGAIN)
Anyway, hope that this one was a lot better. I'm still feeling down and she's still ignoring me.
