It doesn't really matter how much stronger you are or that you can make a mountain crumble with one simple punch. It doesn't really matter how hard you've trained and how much you've learned because at the end of the day it's just them—and when Sasuke comes back it'll be because of him. "Sakura" he says his eyes never leaving Naruto's "you've cut your hair"—its makes you feel so insignificant...you don't even know whether to laugh or cry (but really either way it wouldn't even matter).
