Alright, I am extraordinarily sorry for not updating my story, Another Adventure, in an extremely long time. But I needed a break. My friends encouraged me to write a simple short story.

Love Story

Part I

Forget-Me-Not

Lixal POV

Darkness. Everywhere. Swallowing me. I won't give in. I see the light, there, so far away. I reach for it. So far. So far...

"Axel!" I cry. His hand finds mine; we lock wrists.

I cannot see his face, but I hear his voice, "I will never let you go! I will always keep you safe, I promise!"

I feel our embrace slipping. Hands. Fingers. Nothing.

"Axel!" I look up, tears leaving wet trails down my cheeks, the light is closing. A flash of red and lighting green eyes.

"Lixal, I'll come back for you, I promise!" his voice holds desperation. Longing. Love.

"I know you will! We may be worlds apart but we will find each other again!" my tears begin to fall faster

His voice finds my ears again. "Don't forget, I will always be with you! Always and forever, Saiai No!" The light slowly fades, just a glimmer left. One last spark of hope.

Then it's gone.

I won't forget him, how could I? He taught me to fight, to protect. I taught him to love.

Part II

Safe

Lila POV

I was overcome. The Heartless were too many this time. I Needed help. If only Lixal were here. We always worked so well together. Why did she have to go?

I looked around once more at the ambush. Something must be wrong with the Cornerstone to let so many Heartless inside.

I summoned my strength for another limit. My usual hack and slash technique had ben rendered useless by my full length dress. I spread my arms wide as I released a powerful light attack that killed half of the little black creatures.

It wasn't enough.

Now, with my energy drained, I attempted to summon Ace of Hearts and Mysteries Twilight. Nothing happened. My energy is gone. I feel myself falling, making my way to the ground, letting the darkness take me.

I never make it that far.

I feel his arms behind my back. The feeling is familiar and yet, I have never felt them before. His voice finds it's way to my ears. Thick. Angry. Dark.

"i may not be able to take care of the most important person in my life, but I will take are of the person closest to her. I will save them both!"

I feel the flames. They don't burn me they feel protective. As I look around the flames consume the Heartless. I turn to see his face.

Axel.

We are safe.
