Rapunzel thought she would spend her eighteenth birthday in her tower as she had before. However, when the leader of a thief gang, Flynn Rider, finds her by accident, she sees an opportunity to escape and see the floating lights that appear every year on her birthday. As she explores and gets to know the Rider Gang, she learns things about them and herself.

AU: Flynn wanted to steal the princess' crown, he never planned for the Princess herself to tag along. One thing is for certain; no one messes with Flynn Rider, and he wasn't going to let this girl start now. He had to find a way to get rid of her, and losing his heart along the way wasn't an option.
