Hi! Poseidonchic123456 here, with the requested all - new chappy of Gone with the Wind! Oh, by the way, I'm probably going to be changing two things : 1. the title of this story and 2. my penname. My friend that comes to this site complains that it's too long, so I'm gonna be changing it. :) Meet you at the bottom for a contest involving my pen name! XD
This is the first chapter of my new story, Gone With the Wind! YAY! This is after the trailer, so he's just about to find out what horrific scene is down in the basement.
BTW, my OC is going to feel like a Mary Sue in the beginning, and I'm SUPER sorry about that, but it fits in with the plot line. She has to be hideously perfect. *pukes in a corner at the thought of making a MS*. Oh well.
Disclaimer: Sam: Poseidonchic123456, you know you have to say it.
Me: *feigning innocence* Say what?
Sam: The disclaimer! Be smart! Don't let meat spoil your brains, too!
Me: I won't say it. It's too painful. *pauses* and I'm a vegetarian!
Sam: My fist in your gut will be a lot more painful if you don't say it.
Me: Fine. I don't own DP. I only own my OC. Are you happy now?
Sam: Very. On with the story!
Danny couldn't think. He couldn't breathe. All he could do was stand there and watch the disaster that was the lab take place.
Allow me to describe. Most of the lab was covered in a large glass box (it's the one from the episode titled 'D-Stablized'). Jack and Maddie Fenton stood outside of the box, sitting in chairs and observing what was going on inside the box. But that wasn't the scary part.
Inside the box, a ghost girl, about 15 years old, was tied to a chair. She rocked back and forth furiously, trying to get out from the ghost-proof ropes. All around her, filling the entire box, were booby traps, dozens and dozens. From the other side, Skulker (the ghost zone's greatest hunter) stalked towards her, blasting several traps in the process.
The girl swerved dangerously in her chair, making cuts and gashes in her sides ooze with ectoplasm. Obviously Danny's parents had gotten to her and did some damage before deciding what to do with her. Pausing, she glanced around, searching for a way out.
Her eyes connected with Danny's.
Danny took a step back, the intensity of her glare piercing into him like a dagger. Her face was smudged with glowing green ectoplasm, and it contrasted strongly with her eyes.
They were blue.
Ghost's eyes are, sometimes, dependent on the level of malevolence in their core. Green eyes for not evil or only slightly evil ghosts, red eyes for pretty evil or really evil. But blue eyes? Danny had never seen such icy blue eyes. It scared him.
The girl didn't recognize him as Pariah's Bane, or a halfa; her gaze wandered, searching desperately for a way out. Danny could practically see the gears turning in her head.
Skulker was 100 yards away from her chair.
Then she smiled.
Danny had never been scared by a smile before, not even on his jerky older self, Dan. And yet, this girl, a year younger than him, with eyes as cold and determined as ice, battered and bruised, managed to smile despite her predicament. And that scared him more than a warehouse full of matches and rocket fuel.
Slowly, as she teetered in the chair, she rubbed her thin wrists on the ropes. (a/n: I made up this new power thingy to help her escape. It will be used in future chapters, so. . . .) Most ghosts have the power to heal themselves using a type of their ectoplasm called ectonitrogenio. Each ghost has a small limit of it when they're in the human world, and it easily runs out. It can only heal small wounds. To renew this ectonitrogenio, the ghost has to be in the ghost zone. Danny had some, too, which helped tremendously with keeping his parents from finding out his secret. The energy came out to heal in the form of sparks, and could be used for other purposes besides healing, but healing was the main power of it. As the ropes lef small gashes, she summoned her ectonitrogeno to her injuries. Then she siphoned off some sparks and melted the ropes.
Skulker was 10 feet away when the girl jumped up, ready to fight.
She dismantled Skulker's suit in less than ten minutes, leaving Danny to gape. Then she opened up the mechanical head and took out the midget skulker and threw him back into the ghost zone.
She looked at Danny's parents expectantly. "You said you would let me go," she hissed angrily after a few minutes of silence. "Why aren't you letting me go?" As she talked, she held the wound on her side. Ectoplasm seeped through her fingers onto the box's glass floor.
Maddie Fenton smirked, and Danny got a horrible feeing in his gut. "We lied," she sad simply, but that was enough to widen the girl's eyes, get her sprinting for the door of the box.
Two mechanical arms came out from the sides of the containment device, and Danny realized; those two arms looked a lot like the ones Valerie had him trapped in. . .
The girl banged on the glass, drawing his attenton. Those ice blue eyes pleaded with him as she screamed. "No! This isn't right!" One of the arms grabbd her around the waist and lifted her into the air, screaming and fighting all the way. Ectoblasts ricocheted on the walls as she tried to get out of the robot's iron grip, but it was no use. As the arms clasped onto her arms and legs, she slumped, all hope gone from her bright blue eyes. "What are you going to do with me?" she asked, her voice shaking with fear.
Danny was paralyzed with horror as he realized what his parent's answer would be. Their reply was subtle, but it got the message through. reached behind her and pulled out a piece of rolled up fabric. . . with utensils trapped between layers. Danny saw the ghost girl's face go white as she studied what was in the cloth. Unnesecarily, Maddie Fenton unrolled the fabric holder to display Scapels. Lots and lots of scapels. The girl obviously knew what this meant; she screamed as loud as she could, agony in every second of the terrible sound.
Danny's parents left the room, leaving their only son to stand, glued to his spot, watching the tears fall down the girl's face.
Sorry that you waited this long, and got such a short chapter, but I'm doing this on my stepdad's computer, and I'm in a really awkward and uncomfortable position on my window seat. . . I really don't want to stay like this longer than I have to...
This is my little contest here. My friend has been complaining about how long my penname is, and so she REALLY wants me to change it! And, honestly, I don't really like it either. So, you guys get to choose! Review what you think it should be (you might want to read my profile, to get a glimpse of how incredibly random I can get) and I'll pick 5 of them that I like the best! Then, you guys get to choose; majority wins! And the person that made the winning pen name will get a prize! I dunno what, but they'll get something! See you next time, PEACE!
