Epilogue
He said that he was leaving.
He said that he wanted to see the world, wanting to know what it felt like being in a different place where no one knows who he was. To be free from everyone who looked at him differently; to be free from everyone who see's him as someone who isn't important.
It was fine, I thought, since he'll be able to experiences new and different things without anyone judging him. It was good for him. He needed that. With everything that has happen to him so far, he needed to be away from everything. But, I can't help but wonder, can't help but feel as if he was in a hurry to go leave everything behind? He said that he wanted to experience different thing but I can't help but feel as if he was running away from something. But what?
Why? Why do you think that is? I mean, we are still only twelve years old so why the hurry? I asked him several times but he never once did he mentioned to me the reason why he wanted to do the things he did. But, then again, why do I need to? It is after all his life and it's not as if I can control it. I mean, who can control someone who as boundless energy? No one, that's who.
His back was facing me as I watched him heart-wrenchingly leave with his god father carrying his overly packed luggage and was heading towards the gateway where their plane is ready to depart in God-knows-where. He never told me where. He only said that he was going on an adventure somewhere, to train himself to become strong, to be someone.
I stared blankly at him, his unruly golden locks and his sun kissed skin, I will miss them a lot. But he said that he'll be back soon and when he does he'll be stronger, he promised me that he will. I stood there with my brother who had placed his hands on my shoulder to keep me from running towards my golden-haired friend and demanded him to just stay here, in Konoha, with me and with everyone else. But, no, he had to leave, he said. It was important, he said. But what was more important to him then his friends anyway? Why did he felt the need to rush things when they had all the time they needed to do so? He was always brash but, this was a whole new level. It was ridiculous.
As I was contemplating inside my mind of the possibilities of him wanting to leave us all for his own selfish reasons, I stopped, as I suddenly noticed him frozen before going further into the gate and turns to face me with eyes as deep as the ocean. Sapphire locked with onyx. Was he reconsidering leaving us? I hoped so. We stared back at each other, having some final moments with each other before he'll leave me for God knows how long. Don't go. Can't you see I'm begging you not to? Though, I wouldn't in a million years tell you that. He smiled and raised his fist to me his final goodbye, and in turn, I did so as well, and only silently watched him disappear into the very end of the gateway and left.
"...Take care."
Hello readers!
A brief intro of myself, as you may have noticed, I am a fan of Naruto but it doesn't mean I am a fan of turning Naruto and Sasuke into gays. –Bows in apology to the boyxboy fans- I'm sorry everyone, you might be expecting it as a shounen-ai or yaoi, but it's not, sadly. But, you are free to imagine whatever the relationship between the two have and as a bonus I'll give you some bits of cliché moments maybe that way you'll be able to enjoy reading without expecting too much of it? So anyway, that is about it. I hope the epilogue isn't confusing or boring.
