A/N: This one shot is based on the movie 'The Vow'. I watched it last week and I cried my eyes out! I loved it though. This is NOT gonna be a recount of the movie with different characters, it's just based on the whole memory loss thing.

Carly's POV

"Wasn't that the best concert ever?" I smiled as Freddie drove Sam and I home

"Yeah" Freddie agreed

"Definetly" Sam added

"I love Cuttle Fish!" I laughed

We got to a red light and Sam turned the music up.

"I love this song" She smiled

Want you to make me feel like i'm the only girl in the world

Cos i'm the only one who understands how to make you feel like a man
Only girl in the world!

Sam sung along to the song, she actually had a really good voice...She'd never admit that though.

The light turned green and we started moving again. We were about halfway through the intersection when a large bus went through the red light and headed straight for Sam's side of the car.

"She's in a coma?" I yelled following the doctor down the hall "Is she gonna be okay?"

"We don't know yet" The doctor sighed "Listen Carly. Head injuries are very unpredicable"

"Where's Freddie? Is he okay?"

"He's upstairs, he's fine"

I turned and headed for the elevator, I went upstairs to find Freddie.

I found his room and went in.

"Hey" I smiled "You okay?"

He shrugged "Kinda sore, but i'm fine. You?"

"Yeah i'm okay, hardly a scratch"

"Sam?"

I looked down "...She's in a coma"

His eyes went wide "Is she gonna be okay?"

"I hope so" I sighed

Even though Sam and Freddie broke up a few months ago he's still insanly protective over her. It's cute.

...

I smiled walking down the hall, I just got a call saying Sam woke up. I walked into the room and saw my best friend smiling at me.

"Hey" I smiled running over and wrapping my arms around her "Thank god you're okay"

"How long was I out?"

"Only a few days but I was so worried"

"Where's Freddie?" She asked "The doctors said we were in an accident and he was driving, is he okay?"

"He's fine. He's on his way here"

Freddie's POV

I got to the hospital and went upstairs. I found Sam's room and walked inside.

I saw her and Carly talking. I walked over and Sam noticed I was there.

"Hey" She smiled putting her arms around me tighter than I expected her too

"Hey" I said back "I was so worried about you"

"I missed you so much"

I raised an eyebrow "Really?"

She nodded "Why wouldn't I miss my boyfriend?"

My eyes went wide "Uh...Yeah...I missed you too. Carly can we talk for a sec?"

Carly followed me out of the room.

"She just said boyfriend. I am NOT her boyfriend anymore!"

"I know" Carly said

"What the hell is going on then?"

Carly stopped the doctor when he walked past.

"Just a quick question doc...Is it possible for someone with brain injuries to have memory loss?" Carly asked

"Yes. Why?"

"Oh, just wondering. Thanks"

The doctor walked off and Carly turned back to me.

"Sam forgot you guys broke up! She still thinks you're dating!"

I groaned "What the hell do I do? It was hard enough breaking up with her the first time, I don't wanna do it again. But I can't just go along with it, that's not right!"

"You have to tell her"

"I don't wanna hurt her"

"You can lie to her either"

"Yeah. You're right" I sighed

"Goodluck. I'll call you later"

I took a deep breath and walked back into the room.

"Sam. We need to talk" I said sitting on the chair next to the bed

"Okay?"

I grabbed her hand and held it in mine "Sam. I think the injury to your head has made you forget a few things"

"Whatya mean?"

I sighed "...We're not together anymore"

"Yes we are"

I shook my head "No we're not. We broke up a few months ago"

Tears started to fall down her face, I sat on the bed next to her and pulled her into a hug. It hurt so bad seeing her like this.

"Why did we break up?"

"It wasn't working" I whispered

"But I love you"

I smiled and kissed her forehead "I love you too"

"If we love each other then why did we break up?"

"It's not always that simple, Sam"

"It can be" She said softly looking up at me

He lips softly came in contact with mine, I felt one of her hands tangle in my hair.

"Please" She whispered "I need you, don't do this. I love you so much, Freddie"

"I love you too, baby"
